The room was clean and very comfortable and makes it a home away from home. Breakfast was pretty decent as well.

I would have wish the check-in staff (whom I wish not to mention) could display more enthusiasm as a front-office staff with more courteous and politeness in his welcome. The room was booked under my profile for a staff of mine, but the attitude was slightly comes off as impolite the way he put certain remarks or wordings.

Overall experience has been very pleasant.

An Absolute Gem in Jakarta – Exceptional Experience!

This was my first time in Jakarta, but as an experienced world traveler with stays at top hotels across the globe, I can confidently say this hotel is an undiscovered jewel. Unlike the usual tourist hotspots, it offers an unparalleled level of comfort and service.

My room was simply outstanding—featuring a spacious walk-in closet, an enormous bathroom divided into three separate areas (shower, dual sinks, and toilet), and a beautifully designed bedroom/studio. This stay was my stopover before heading to Sorong for a diving trip, and the hotel’s Olympic-sized saltwater pool was a game-changer. It allowed me to check my dive gear—something often frowned upon in the U.S.—while also preparing for my dives with some solid swim sessions.

The spa was at the level of a top-tier Japanese spa (and I say this having just been in Tokyo two weeks ago). Breakfast was exceptional, offering a perfect mix of Western and Indonesian options—Eggs Benedict done to perfection, incredible local dishes, fresh juices, and expertly crafted coffee drinks. I also had a fantastic Indonesian chicken soup for lunch at the café—absolutely delicious.

The location is another huge plus. The hotel has direct access to Plaza Indonesia, and the magnificent Grand Indonesia Mall is just next door—making everything incredibly convenient.

One of the true highlights of my stay was the exceptional hospitality. The staff’s warmth and attentiveness were beyond me!

Poor First Impression but Improved

Check in was stated to be 3pm, we arrived a little after but our room wasn’t ready until
3:45pm. Also upon arrival the full benefits of our Grand Club access were not explained, including breakfast arrangements

Throughout the afternoon we found the team to be very friendly but lacking the attention to efficiency and detail one expects of 4* hotel.

Things reached a head when we were nearly seated at the wrong table for dinner in their C’s Steakhouse. Fortunately we spoke to the Director of F&B who was very understanding regarding all our concerns since checking in. Then everything improved

Throughout dinner both the service and food were great and the following day it was obvious our complaint had been related to The Grand Club team.

Service was then swift and attentive culminating in receiving a complimentary chauffeur ride to the airport.

While our experience didn’t start well, I really appreciate the team for responding to our concerns and taking action to improve our overall experience

As such when travelling though Jakarta again, we will probably revisit the Grand Hyatt.

Good to be back with some new outlook around the lobby and room. Things to improve are the amenities. It’s a bit weird to find no body lotion and razor for a 5 star hotel (these two seem to be on request), also wishing the breakfast provides more variant than what they offer now, and limited place to walk around the food counters is a bit concerning when more people having breakfast, but overall it was a pleasant stay xx

A short stay to recover from our international flight and before onward travel to Bandung. The room was spacious with an excellent shower. and long bath. Buffet breakfast was plentiful. The best part of our stay were the lap swimming pool and the evening for cocktails and oysters at the lounge where there was live music and a marvellous view of the fountain roundabout and traffic below.

Very nice hotel and our family room was spacious overlooking the pool and tennis court…Lovely marble bathroom. Friendly staff. Swimming pool, gym and tennis court were excellent. They even have physiotherapy and skin clinic. Very convenient as it is attached to Plaza mall and across the street from Grand Indonesia mall. So many restaurants and grocery stores are within walking distance. The food at the hotel is very nice. Will definitely stay here next time I visit Jakarta.

We had reservations for family room, hotel did not have our room, instead gave us room without sofa. Room was updated, just not what we wanted. Staff wasn’t friendly during our whole stay with exception of Levvy in lounge. Levvy was great and nice. Hotel needs to train staff better or hire different people. Don’t think we will stay here again.

Old hotel. I don’t think it should be charging such rates for a dated room. Especially when the higher floors are already refurnished, the hotel should be providing the newer rooms and renovate the older ones without offering them to the public.

Our stay during pandemic 2021

Because of this pandemic, i chose grandhyatt because of the heAlth protocole and close to plaza indonesia, mall with best health protocole. Everything was perfect even the hotel staff all perfect for health protocole . But, our room, the cleaning staff only tidy up the bed. They even forgot to give us new showergel. The bar , not even got clean , my used cup and everything still there. Quite dissapointed with these for grandhyatt standard

Service wise probably the best hotel in Jakarta and with connection to Plaza Indonesia shopping mall made our stay very convenience. The Gym and spa with jacuzzi, sauna and steam room are really good and you can request late checkout until 14:00 pm. The mrt station (bundaran HI station) is located right in front of the hotel as well.

Had to move rooms at 4:30am due to banging noise on top of my room. The second room I was moved to had another banging noise which was shown to the duty manager. Finally moved to the third room which finally didn't have any noise issues. I was only offered club access as compensation.

Another wonderful stay at the Hyatt

Great hotel for a quick weekend getaway in the city. Room could be cleaner and facilities are starting to show signs of age, but the overall feel of the room is cozy and comfortable. Staff are professional, friendly and attentive. The access to Plaza Indonesia makes this still a family favorite for a night out in the city.

We checked into Grand Hyatt for a random stay on the 24th - 25th of December from Singapore to celebrate my brothers achievements.

I had emailed Guest Relations where a kind lady named Alliyagupitha took it up and planned us one of rhe best breaks we have had in a very long time.

The hotel is strategically located that connects you to 2 amazing malls, with spa, mani-pedi facilities, complete gym, beautiful pool etc.

I highly recommend Grand Hyatt and Thank Ms Alliya and her team very much for everything that was prepared for us and for making our Christmas in Jakarta beautiful.
