My rating is based predominantly on customer service expectation than anything else.
The property is nicely appointed as are most Ashleys. There is lack of attention to detail and service that is stunning.
This was a second chance for this property, having failed on a previous visit. It was unable to redeem itself. I arrived at the property entrance struggling with my bags, the bell boy saw me approach and ignored me. I was forced to ask to open the door and he did NOT assist me with my bags. I still don't know what to make of this reception, but it left me feeling out of sorts.
I arrived at my room and was well. As was the case during my last visit - the towels were worn and seriously discolored. They should be taken out of circulation. To be honest, they looked unwashed and that kicked my OCD into full gear. That aside the housekeeping was good.
The issue this trip was the wifi connectivity - it was absolutely awful on large electronics such as a laptop computer. I called and complained several times, but there was no improvement. Eventually, I was moved to another room in an effort to resolve the problem. The problem was not improved. But I gave up on communicating. The fact of the matter is that good customer service demanded a follow up front desk and that didn't happen. I contacted hotels.com and made a complaint. They contacted the front desk twice and in neither instance did the property reach out. This, I believe was a deliberate management decision.

Overall hotel experience was alright, room was ok but the pillows were too hard. They should offer both hard and soft pillows.
The gym needs a revamp, the treadmills are not good and the overall gym condition also not good.

Noisy neighbor. I did not the RSVP that I paid Upfront at Expedia. I did for Queen, Non Smoking and ended they tried to give me twin and smoking. I complained to Expedia and Hotel. They could not help me. Tricked to pay upfront but terrible stay.

Fantastic service. Value for money. Saskia, Leony, Budi, and Joko (manager) and all others were very friendly. I used the GYM, and being vegetarian- I got good breakfast and Indian masala tea and even lunch was perfectly cooked. I recommend this hotel.

2 nights enjoyable stay at Ashley Hotel

My wife and I enjoyed our 2 nights stay at Ashley hotel, the property looks to be well maintained.
Services provided were excellent, however I have 3 small notes:
The Staff at the restsurant needs to be more active especislly during the busy breakfast time. On 3 diffirent occasions i was diisappointed: When asking for omelette, for warm drink water and in the evening when asking my manggos be pilled off.
I have to repratedly ask for it until I get what I need.

We did stay for 2 nights, the hotel's location is easily walk from MRT/Sarinah. The staff are friendly and helpful, they also allowed us to check in 1hr earlier. We did ask for new towel because there is cigarette smell on the towel and they changed quickly with the fresh new towel. Overall is good stay at Ashley Hotel

Incredible deal!

For the price, this hotel is a really good deal. The rooms are very comfortable and well-accoutered. The breakfast buffet, while not the best on the planet, is very good, with a nice mix of continental and Indonesian cuisine. This is a good \"business hotel\", with clean and comfortable rooms. It is very well situated close to dining and other attractions in Jakarta. I would definitely stay here again.

I am pleasantly surprised with the hotel's good location and facilities. I like the food served and my stay was comfortable enough. However, I was a agitated by the Reception's handling of my late checkout. My flight was unfortunately delayed hence I decided to pay for the late checkout fees as I see no point in staying at the airport. It should have been a smile process but the Reception called me 3 times with different information. First they said I can check out at 2pm and then changed the info to 12pm. Then they changed the fees from 270000 rupiah to 382000 rupiah. One of the Reception lady even stated to me that I need to pay for the room and it is not free of charge (rudeness not accepted). I highlighted that it is not acceptable for employees to give different information to customers and I demand to know which is the right information. I was very worried if I could be a victim of employees trying to cheat customer's money while recording a different info in ledgers. In the end, they stick to the first information which is I could checkout at 2pm and the fees are 270000 rupiah. I didn't enjoy the experience because of my fear of being mislead for profit. Otherwise, I feel the staff is alright and hospitable. I want the hotel to take money issue seriously because it is sensitive to customers. In my case I am willing to pay but please treat me with honest and correct information and not calling up to 3 times with different info.

I pick Ashley Hotel as it was quite new and its location. Close to lots of eateries and street food.
Staff at reception were friendly and check-in was smooth. The Deluxe room we stayed was small an had an odd shape with the bathroom sliding mirror door facing the bed. We did not sleep well as the mattress was not firm and it sinks in the middle. The water pressure for the shower was good and everything else in the room functions properly. Buffet breakfast was mediocre with more choices that are catered for the locals. Everything is self service except for the clearing of plates and cups where they pushed the cart to where you are seated and began clearing it in a noisy manner where I thought I was at a hawker centre. I think this is not right in a hotel setting. The restaurant staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. There are many hotels in the same vicinity and I will not hesitate to try others next time when given the choice.

Overall I am disappointed during my stay at Ashley Hotel. I was expecting this to be a better experience than what I end up getting. The main reasons being the non-cooperative staff who are not willing to listen to any reason and treat you like you will gonna runaway with their money even though the room was fully paid in advance. Rooms were tiny and in OK condition. Breakfast was just OK and can skip without losing too much. I would definitely avoid this one as there are plenty other options around this property.
I did ask reception for speaking with Hotel manager and he/she were too busy taking their lunch etc. and couldn't find time to talk to guest with problem. Thoroughly disappointed.

Modern-looking hotel in central Jakarta

Modern-looking and affordable hotel in the midst of several others, with conference/meeting facilities and sleek rooms perfect for professionals. Had a quick check-in (including upgrade!) and -out, nice options for breakfast (though limited gluten free), bed was comfortable. Some bulbs not functioning were never fixed but otherwise staff was responsive to requests. Wifi worked well in room but slowly in restaurant. 10 min walk from Sarinah mall and Gongdangia train station.

The quality of room in terms of fittings, decor, AC is great. The shower was of extremely good quality and thank God there was no bath tub. Towels were very clean. The soap, shampoo, comb we're of good quality. A special coffee maker was also available. Only one problem is that the ulmirah to keep clothes is a bit small. Can accommodate at Max 4 shirts. The hotel is located in very nice locality and plenty of eating joints and supermarkets around.. Highly Recommended.

Check in smooth, staff very friendly, well trained, helpful and speedy work. Room is small but clean except the comforter, when i open it found blood stain on it, they changed it very fast even it is already near to 12 midnight. Bathroom is good, WC come with auto wash and water pressure in shower area good, enjoy it very much. Breakfast variety is good mixed Indonesian and western. Overall it is a perfect 4 stars hotel, value for the room rate with breakfast.

Excellent service at the front desk, room clean, comfortable, well appointed. Excellent value for the price. This is not a world-class first tier hotel, but in its price range it's been one of the best I've used in central Jakarta. Location (near access to Sarinah Mall and Gambir train station; not far from the big malls) is excellent.
The only less than top mark has to do with some of the scuff marks on desks and walls, easily removed with a \"magic eraser\". The room itself was clean and definitely in the upper 3star to mid 4star range in terms of appointments and fittings, but this small hint of not-done maintenance was a small disappointment.
I did not get to try breakfast, as I left too early, but the serving area looked as if it would be good. I'll probably stay here again and will try to add that piece when I know more.
Wifi was good, although I prefer a locked-down system for security (there was no log-in). If you're staying here and doing any business on the internet, make sure to use a VPN.

Ashley Hotel iis close to the national monument. There are some great restaurants close to it. The Grand Indonesia shopping mall is also in walking distance. Ashley has great buffet breakfasts too.

Stylish hotel with well-designed interior.
Room was a bit small for being an executive room.
Facitilies such as a pool and gym (currently in construction) would add to the nice atmosphere.
Breakfast can be improved (quality of food wasn't great, no cold cuts or cheeses, no salads and vegetables)
Wifi is terrible, basically no access at all and very unstable (in the room and also breakfast area)

I stayed in Ashley Hotel with my friend for 4 nights and we were really amazed of the service, friendliness and the food. All staff from the doorman to the reception to the dining and cleaning staff were all friendly and so helpful and attentive to the needs of their guests. My friend got sick and they even gave her a medicine to try since it was already late in the evening. If only all hotels will have cheerful and always smiling staff like in Ashley. Food was great. They always change buffet items during breakfast. We had three dinners in their restaurant and food was really great. We will definitely come back to Ashley!

The hotel is very new so not everything is fully functional yet - e.g. the gym is not open. But being new the furniture etc are clean and in good condition, and a non-working light in the bathroom was rectified promptly. The staff are all friendly and helpful and made us welcome. The bed is one of the most comfortable I have slept in at a hotel for a long time. There is not much storage space in the rooms (ours was a \"Deluxe\") and the breakfast was rather disorganised but the dining room staff went out of their way to help, so overall it was a good experience. I will certainly consider returning to the Ashley for a short business trip.
