I stay in this hotel for 2 nights. The breakfast was not really good as I expected. The working chair was too old, dirty, and broken. I called front desk 5 times to ask for replacement, and nobody picked up the phone. Won’t return to this hotel.

Mid-range hotel near Grand Indonesia Shopping Mall

It is a mid-range hotel. A long distance from the Old Town (Batavia) and Chinatown bit then a bike taxi will get you there. About 30 minutes walk from Istiqlal Mosque and the main Cathedral. It is next door to The Harvest which is a great bakery. Only 10 minutes walk from Grand Indonesia shopping mall.
The breakfast food options are not great.

We had a horrible experience checking into the property. Check in time is at 2pm and we checked in at 3pm. After we Checked in we were told to wait 15 minutes as our room is not ready. After 20 minutes we go back to the front desk and we were told to wait another half hour because our room was still not ready. This was extremely frustrating as are stay in Jakarta was only for 1 day and we wanted to fresh up in our room to start the day but because our room was not ready for us it delayed our whole schedule. Also, when we finally got our room we had to call room service as the sheets and comforter was dirty. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Located on the side of a very busy and small street. Room was small but OK. STAINS are everywhere on the carpet! The bathroom door built in weird angle. The handwashing sink was not working (drain the dirty water) well too.
Referigerator is NOT working at all. Reported, got replacement, and still did the same. Not cold at all.

Foods were fine but not exciting and either too salty or no taste at all. On the 3dr day I stayed there, coffee was the last to serve! I was waiting since I came till I have to go back to my room, i just saw the coffee still being prepared (not ready).

Self laundry had to wait your turn to buy the specific coins! They only have several coins available! You just need 2 coins everytime you do your laundry.

The dryer is NOT working properly. The clothes were damp, not drying completely, even i tried for 90 mins.
So I had to redo my laundry somewhere else!
Uncomfortable for staying longer than 2 nights.

I did not expect. This is high end location. Neat, clean with Country's President residence, various high end consulates. museums, National Monument is a notable landmark. Istiqlal Mosque and Jakarta Cathedral Church. Use can hire taxis or tuk-tuks (rickshaws) or scooters. Metro station half a block away and bus service in front of hotel. Evening the roadside food stalls open up most popular is Indonesian Satay. To get to speak to local in English is big hindrance otherwise like all Asians pleasant folks. Happy stay & travel

The hotel is due maintenance, dirty stained carpet, dirty and stained bathroom, ants, old towels thin & ripped, thank God bed sheet is clean. AC wasn't cold due to dirty filter, at midnight maintenance guy came and washed the filter in our bathroom and room is cold after. This should be scheduled regularly without interrupting guest stay.

They had self service laundry for IRD 75,000. However it took us 2 days to be able to use the service. Once we were able to wash our clothes, it took us 3 try to dry them. Even then I had to hang some of them to dry.

The reason for the poor rating was the check in. We specifically booked a non-smoking room but the young woman at the check-in desk stated that because we had booked a ‘flexible’ room, this meant it could be either smoking or non-smoking. We said non-smoking. The woman said that only smoking rooms were available. We said no, we booked a non-smoking room and this is what we wanted. She nodded and got on the walkie-talkie thing. She told us to wait. 20 mins later she said our room was ready. We arrived at the second floor to be confronted with the unmistakable smell of stale smoke. It was overpowering. Our room was filled with recently-dispensed air freshener but it couldn’t hide the awful stench. Then we spotted the ashtray on the table. Then we found a dirty sock beside the bed. Welcome to the Holiday Inn! More like Welcome to Hell.

This property is located perfect for anyone that prefers convenience. All you need is within walking distance. Plaza Indonesia is behind you with easy walking in 8-10 mins.Then there is Sarinah Plaza , almost next to hotel, walking within 3-5 mins. Of course, there is food street-Saban St. full of eateries and coffee shops. within 5 mins , there must be 10 corner stores, including Alpha Mart, Circle K, Indomart, plenty to choose.

Highly recommend staying here! Stayed here for a long trip in Jakarta. Comfortable rooms, very friendly service and hospitality, clean rooms, tasty breakfast with lots of options, and quick room service. No complaints! The gym had all the basic and necessary equipment (dumbbells, treadmills, bench, TV, A/C, water station), it was not busy as I guess not many people want to workout on vacation. Used the self-laundry service, but one of the machine was broken so they sent their mechanics to help. Overall great hotel and close walking distance to Sarinah Mall!

Terrible Stay.

The stay in this hotel was terrible from the beginning to the end. First of all, they made a bid deal about paying the hotel with US dollars. At first, they accepted it and then, they kept changing their words and asking for more money simply because of the condition of the US dollars.

At the end of the stay, the whole building has no water. There was brown water everywhere in the toilet. They did not do anything to help the guests but made us use a toilet at the lobby. The hotel did not even compensate us at all.

Frequent stayer of this hotel.. I left things in this hotel several times and never once were they recovered.. I thought perhaps I did lose it on the way to airport.

for the last trip.. I deliberately left my spare phone and charger cable in the shelf.. guess what.. I called the next day and they said no one saw it..

The face towels are brownish and the towels often come with oil or cigarette odor... One of their soft pillows smelled of someone's feet..

Great location, strong wifi, very soft bed and pillows, tasty Indonesian breakfast. The only things they need to improve are the shower faucet and towels were quite old and smelly - probably they need to change for new ones. But overall I'm satisfied with my stay and would love to stay here again in the near future.
