What a beautiful property with amazing attention to detail throughout. The rooftop restaurant was wonderful, with fantastic views, and the cafe on the ground level was artistic, funky and ultra-chic. So many wonderful little details were laden throughout, which were a feast for the eyes! (Many photos were taken!) The included breakfast offered a variety of choices, all of which were absolutely delicious, along with a small but wonderful buffet - which sustained us till dinner! Restaurant staff were so lovely and reception staff were extremely helpful, setting us up with transportation and SIM card info as well as a Jakarta map....everything we needed upon on our arrival from overseas to Jakarta! Transportation to the train station was arranged for us as well. We are so happy with our choice of Kosenda. They provided a most wonderful welcome and introduction to Indonesia! Highly recommend this charming, intimate gem of a hotel!

Loved the style and design of this hotel. Room is rather small, but cozy. I really enjoyed the lobby area and cafe downstairs, just watch out for the mosquitos! The lounge upstairs is closed Monday and Tuesday which is unfortunately when I stayed. I was also there Wednesday, but arrived when they closed at 11pm, which is rather early IMO. All in all a nice hotel that I'd visit again.

This is an absolutely lovely hotel. Like the entire property, beautiful and thoughtfully designed with green spaces, seating areas, and even a little goldfish pond, my room was designed with stylish practicality. The room was clean, quiet at all hours - even with neighbors next door and above. Everything worked well, and I especially liked the spacious rain-style shower and strategic placement of tile and carpet. The bed was comfortable, and the management is generous with accessories. The hotel is conveniently located. Jakarta is big with scattered points of interest, but the MH Thamrin transit stop is only steps away and offers connections to Kota Tua north and Blok M south. Many attractions are within walking distance, including shopping and restaurants. Personally, I’d recommend public transit, because traffic looks pretty brutal during the day. There doesn’t seem to be a huge amount to do in the immediate area of the hotel, which is safe and walkable, but Jaya Pub is the exception. This is a fun venue with food, raucous live music, and a friendly mix of regulars and travelers, no more than a 5 minute walk across the street. Finally, and I think probably the most important ingredient, the people who work in this hotel, from the lovely ladies in the restaurant to the knowledgeable desk staff, are as pleasant and accommodating a group as you could hope for. Honestly, they seem to enjoy working together and it shows in their superior service. Fantastic hotel option

One of the nicest small boutique hotels in Jakarta. I've spent months staying at this hotel over the years and always enjoyed the service, food, and great location. An absolute 5 stars, even though there are some things they could still improve post covid. Be aware rooms are small,but comfortable beds, good hot water, large tv, good AC. Breakfast is not as complete as it was pre-covid, but still very good, with individual selection backed up by a small buffet of fruits and juices and good coffee.

We have been staying at this hotel every time we go to Jakarta for several years. I still like the decor, the uniqueness of this hotel, breakfast is also good, however the rooms are dirty. They didnt clean underneath the carpet.

Room and hotel are stylish. The rooms are on the small side; for 1 person it’d be great but with 2 pax in the room it can be slightly cramped. The bathroom doens’t have a curtain for the shower. The shower itself is great though; very good pressure and angle. The sink is in the room area (outside the bathroom). Breakfast is a mix of small buffet and then a good a la carte main selection.

A very unique boutique hotel in City Center.

This is the second time we stayed here. This hotel is very unique. Building is artistic, the roof top bar has an amazing view of the city. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is delicious. The only downside is rooms are on the small side and enormous fee for decorking fee of US$35. We had 3 big suitcases and the room was tight. We invited our friends to come inside of our room to have wine to avoid the decorking fee, my friends commented that our room was very nice.

This hotel is like an upscale hostel - the rooms are tiny but here is a great rooftop bar and downstairs bar/restaurant that has a very communal feel. The staff is incredibly helpful. We stayed here just for one night on a layover - it's about an hour from the airport because traffic is bad, but it's just a quick walk from the main road with tons of upscale shopping and restaurants.

Kosenda is a nice hotel, unfortunately service has dropped significantly. Front desk is polite, yet often clueless and slow. During rush hour it's chaotic. Last time also booked a driver through the hotel. Despite going through the itinerary the day before and providing the locations in advance, the driver did not know where to go, did not check the traffic in advance and we ended up being late for our flight.

The overall experience was good though there were few deficiencies. Location was good. Service staff was good. Hotel design and fixtures looks refreshing. Cleaniness was TOP notch.

1) TV quality was poor with snowing grainy returns
2) room size was small. If pay another $10. You can get bigger room else where nearby

Truly an oasis of calm in Jakarta

The hotel is strategically located, close to all the conveniences. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Although I was first given a room with no view, that was immediately changed at my request. No question asked!

The entire place gave me a homy feel, so much so that I ended up spending quite a bit of time reading at the café simply because it was too cozy to be missed. I will definitely be back!

Great little hotel with quirky vibe and sincere desire to take care of guests. Location is very central but not elegant or deluxe (this is Jakarta). Rooms are small (even the big ones) but there are plenty of common spaces for lounging. Food in cafe is terrific; breakfast selection is a bit limited. One thing that could be improved is staff training. They are sincere in their goal to be hospitable, but it seems they don't always have the know-how regarding high level service. That said, I had a great stay.

The Kosenda hotel is deceiving when you first pull up in front of the hotel you think where am i? As in the night it did not look appealing but the guys at the entrance give you a warm welcome, then you step inside and the front desk staff welcome you with a smile and you felt at home. You get to your room and you feel it's a bit small but then you feel comfortable and realise there is nothing missing that you need, the space is used extremely well to ensure your full comfort. Next morning you go for a walk and everything is there that you need right on your door step including all the sightseeing spots. I was travelling with an 80 year old and this hotel and its location was brilliant to walk to the spots you should see. I have been to many hotels around the world and for the price paid and the excellent service received, I would say the Kosenda is one of the best experiences I have had. Thank you Kosenda hotel you need to pride yourself on paying attention not only to detail but on meeting the individually needs of each guest.
