Our stay at Artotel Thamrin Jakarta was excellent. The hotel was very neat and clean, and the staff were polite and kind. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. We also tried dinner, and it was equally very good. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Property is conveniently located in mentang. The artwork and aesthetic is interesting. But lobby has very strong bad cleaning supplies smell, like commercial bathroom smell. The bar upstairs blast's out music from 7pm till almost 2am, making it really hard to sleep as not much sound proofing. Beds arent very comfy, two single beds pulled together with palpable crack. Rooms are just fine in terms of amenities. Wouldn't stay here again. Breakfast average.

It is one of the hotel that is quite convenient if you are not driving, there are bus stop and MRT station just on the main road.

excellent location near the national monument and close to BRT and bus links. Main railway station is a 30 min walk away. Hotel was in excellent location with each room have different art work. I like Artotel and have stayed there several times. The staff is very friendly, the property clean and has nice vibe. I had dinner in the restaurant twice and the food was excellent.
I did not find the bed very comfortable, however, and the breakfast buffet was not very good.
Probably they are still adjusting to post covid conditions.

Love the location. Really in the heart of the city. Walking distance to major shopping centres and the mrt. During the big floods of 1st Jan 2020 Artotel was not in the affected area and this is a major plus point. Room was clean & cosy. The Nespresso machine & free tit bits was a nice surprise. Love that it had a hair dryer & an ironing board in the room. The buffet breakfast was a major thumbs up from day one. The spread varies and we simpy love the aglio olio, porridge, waffles, local food that were served. The staff were super friendly and this adds on to the value of the hotel. We will definitely return to stay when we come back to Jkt.

My wife and I stayed just one night in this clean , well managed Artotel Thamrin- Jakarta , for convenience to City Centre Activities, the Staff were excellent upon arrival in the rain, they sheltered us with umbrellas and guided us to reception , where it was swift and easy , then to our room , it was a little small but clean , good shower and awesome bed and pillows , A/C was perfect temperature and we enjoyed a quiet relaxing stay, the Breakfast Buffet was adequate and had a nice choice, Excellent work Artotel , recommended for any adventure into Jakarta City Centre .

Unlucky at this hotel (transferred rooms 3x )

I really liked the vibe of this hotel. Too bad the airconditioning failed us. Transferred three times. Only had 3 hours of sleep because I was sweating. When we first went in the room the aircon was leaking but the guy said it was ok. It didn't leak anymore so we didn't complain. We went out but when we came back later that night, the room was still not cold (we left the keycard in the slot). I complained and a technician was fixing the aircon until he told us to transfer room. But the two others were still not cooling! Hence my quality of sleep was not good. I cancelled our 2nd night because the thought of transferring to another room was not appealing. The next day, the manager came up and he felt the aircon was not cold (it was on since 2am when we moved to that room). He offered to upgrade us but I felt it was too late. He woudn't offer us anything for the lousy experience except a car to the nearby hotel where we decided to transfer. Too bad, everything else was ok if the hotel just took care of their airconditioning units. I guess I was just unlucky at Artotel.

Stayed for a single night. Room was clean and nicely decorated. My room was at the sixth floor, sometimes I could hear the sound of the band's sounds check at the seventh floor bar/restaurant . Otherwise it is okay.

Parking is not an issue, hotel security will valet your car. If you stayed over the weekend, do mind the road closure for Car Free Day.

Lots of food options around the hotel and walking distance to the shopping centers.

Had to wait one hour at check in, for my room with little to no communication. If check in is at 2:00 pm;room should be ready by 1:00pm. Was offered a smoking room, which I declined. Not a pleasant first impression. They did grant me a late check out.

Poor Maintenance, Noisy at Night

Due to the last experience with another roof top bar hotel in Vietnam, I specifically request for quiet room when I made reservation this time. Yet they still arrange my room at 6 floor, which is just one floor lower then the roof top bar. There's not much view on the roof top bar but the music was quite good, which I can literally hear every single song they play during the nights until 2 am almost every day.
If you're here for party and night life, this might suite you. Also there's no hair dryer and fridge in the room. They took the hair dryer back claiming that other guest need to use it after I requested and used for only one night. And for the rest 4 nights during my stay I never get to use the hair dryer again cause they said it's all occupied. This should be fine if you have short hair or don't need to use the hair dryer at all. Oh, one more thing is the air condition in my room keep leaking water which becomes a small pound on the floor. The unique point of these hotel is just the art design, which are not attractive enough for me to come back again.

First I loved the art and the concept of the hotel. However, Artotel is all show but unfortunately fails to deliver basic hotel amenities and customer care. Rooms are well decorated; however very small. No master control for lights by bed. One must get out of bed to turn lights on/off by door. No hair dyer in room. I requested one and front desk said there is a waiting list. Satellite TV was off or not working properly 10% of the time. My room was not clean upon returning at 21:00. Coffee pod for coffee maker was not relished upon return to room. This happen twice. My door was left ajar/open for over 6 hours by cleaning staff. Lucky nothing was missing from my room. Finally, there is a bar on the 7th floor, so if you stay on the 6th floor prepare yourself to hear the loud music in your room at night. My advice visit the hotel for the art and the restaurant has good food but stay elsewhere. This a low BUDGET hotel wrapped in art.

The cost of the stay was worth it. The location in relation to sightseeing spots was quite good. Also, it's quite close to several eateries, bus stops, and train station. Lastly, very clean and upkept facilties which contributed to the peculiar ambiance.

Downside: the wifi would only work in the lobby, for my handset. Also, the staff were shorw on recommendations to see in Jakarta. Their solution was a dated map with limited details.

Overall, I pleased with my time there and would return, if I were to be in Jakarta again.

Need to improve the cleanliness

The things that bother me so much when I stayed at this hotel is when they didn't replace the bed sheet and also the bed cover on the 2nd day.

Plus on the first day the smell of cigarette in my room is so strong. I need to asked the janitor to spray some perfume to make the smell gone. Other than that the hotel ambiance is quite nice and the service is good from all the staff.

Rooftop bar on 7th floor plays very loud music every night until late, this is very disturbing as i was on the 6th floor. I had trouble sleeping every night due to the noise. I would also get awoken by hotel staff every morning with a knock on the door asking if i have laundry for them to collect, again also very annoying as I can't sleep in after being kept awake by the loud music at night.

The Manager actually recognizes me & addressed me by my surname. Kudos also go out to the security/porters who always offred to call my uber drivers to give them directions to the hotel.

Cool little hotel next to Sarinah, comfortable room and clean bathroom. Nice breakfast and proximity to Thamrin. Parking bit tricky due to space constraint, free valet so it is pretty much taken care of. One night I have to park at Sarinah carpark since the hotel parking space were full, the hotel shift the car in the middle of the night. Overall it is a nice hotel, definitely worth the value.

Comfortable 2 day stay. Really convenient place to get food at late hours. Location wise is also great if you're heading to the city. Great venue, affordable price!

Hotel is located in the central of jakarta and close to malls and also a street full of foods. Very great for a short stay. There is a rooftop bar which plays decent music as well. Had a couple of beer there and its really nice.

Hotel should inform us that the restaurant are being reserved for their ramanda events. Almost every dinner was closed. This isn't fair for the hotel visitors. No mini bar, hair dryer in the room. Asked for iron and iron board but it's being on waiting list and till Friday it still haven't reach me.
