In a lovely spot in the old town of Fribourg. Loads of things to do by foot although it is quite hilly. The lady on reception was amazing, really friendly and very helpful. If going back to the train station use the funicular, quite an experience (powered by sewage!) and takes all the hills out which is handy when you have cases

The room was extremely small with no air conditioning, so definitely not recommended during hot weather. We did like the location in the “bas-ville.” Hotel restaurant and lobby were undergoing remodeling which was a bit of an inconvenience as staff are not there at night.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Sauvage. My room on the very top floor was lovely and spacious. My only issue was that the light in the bathroom was dim. Other than that I loved everything about Hotel Sauvage- the amenities, the design, the breakfast, the bed and the chaise were perfect.
The staff was exemplary; helpful, gracious and accommodating.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to stay in Old Fribourg.

Pas 3 étoiles, à cause du bruit, mauvais repos
La réception était fermée quand je suis arrivé (fermeture à 19:30) mais l’hôtel m’a prévenu et envoyé les infos nécessaires pour entrer.
Le gros problème a été le bruit :
- 06:00 : des gens discutent dans le couloir et m’ont réveillé
- 06:30 : le voisin du dessus marche avec des talons et le plancher étant très mal isolé, ça m’a réveillé à nouveau
- 08:30 : le staff a frappé à la porte à deux reprise et est finalement rentré dans la chambre alors que j’ai dit « ne rentrez pas, merci » (la personne n’a pas entendu). Mais pourquoi viennent-ils nettoyer la chambre si tôt ?
- 09:00 : de gros travaux de rénovation ont été entrepris dans la salle de bains juste à côté, ce qui m’a forcé à sortir sans même me doucher, car le bruit était trop insupportable.
Si j’avais été prévenu à l’avance de ce bruit, j’aurais choisi un autre hôtel.
En effet, le but d’un hôtel est censé être de dormir et se reposer en paix. Mais ça n’a pas du tout été le cas.
Par ailleurs, je mesure 1m95 et en me réveillant à cause du bruit, je me suis cogné la tête dans l’ouverture qui sépare la chambre de l’entrée, qui ne fait que 1m85 de haut. (Photos en pièce jointe)
Il faudrait mettre de la mousse pour éviter a d’autres de se cogner.
Bref, pour 3 étoiles je suis vraiment déçu.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüsst. Das renovierte Hotel bietet bezüglich Architektur einen interessanten Mix zwischen alt und neu. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist liebevoll hergerichtet. Direkt vor dem Hotel ist die Bushaltestelle, wenn man nicht zu Fuss ins Stadtzentrum gehen will.
