This hotel is located in the upper area of the Sierra Nevada ski resort, next to the chair lift. It lies some 30 metres from the ski station minibus stop, 40 metres from the sports centre and 450 metres from the ski lift.
The town centre (Plaza PradoLlano) is about 2 km away and it is around 33 km to Granada and 90 km to the coastal beaches and La Alpujarras. This ski hotel offers a family atmosphere and comprises a total of 25 comfortable rooms.
Facilities on offer to guests include a lobby area with 24-hour reception and check-out services, a café, a dining room and Internet access. Great breakfast and was included in room price and served till noon. Rugs in both rooms needed cleaning. Rooms are small but have good amenities like great shower quality, toiletries and face towels

The front desk/concierge staff is helpful w reservations and recommendations but inconsistent because there seems to be a new staff team daily. The rooms are well appointed and cute but small while having adequate amenities. The rugs in rooms are badly stained and need cleaning. The shower was nice-good space, water temp and pressure with a hand held shower too. Beds are comfortable including nice sheets. The location is ideal in Ibiza town with a taxi station right across street but windows are not sound proofed and it’s in a loud busy area so I used ear plugs and a sound app.

Beautiful, stylish hotel in an amazingly central and convenient location to old town, and the port for island exploring. Staff are wonderfully helpful. So happy we picked this for our trip.

The property was beautiful as were the common areas , rooftop bar, dining area and the individual rooms. Downside the balconies were not real balconies, which was a bummer because that was unexpected. The only other negative is that we did not have hot water for the first three showers that we took despite making multiple complaints. We were told that it was a common problem. It did eventually get fixed. As a very nice gesture, we were gifted with a bottle of cava and a charcuterie tray, however, it was left in our room on our last night when we were out to dinner and we had a cab, which was arranged by the hotel, picking us up at 5:30 AM. I’m not quite sure why they waited to the end of our stay while we’re at dinner to leave it. Also, we were told they were not able to go into our room legally to check the water, however they were able to go into our room to leave the generous gift which we thought was odd.

We had a fantastic couples stay over Easter. The hotel is beautifully designed and kept in pristine conditions. Room and amenities were great. Staff very kind and helpful. Breakfast was of a really high quality, with e.g. freshly squeezed juice - though note that it’s not a buffet and thus the selection is somewhat limited. The restaurant was also delicious, and portions abundant - I loved the tagliolini… Shame the rooftop was not yet open. Location is absolutely the best in town. Note the hotel does not have a gym

Thoughtfully refurbished characterful hotel in heart of Ibiza. Stayed in “Var De Rey” room, which was spacious and beautifully decorated, with large bathroom. Great view. Extremely comfortable bed. Parking in downtown Ibiza can be difficult (and expensive!), but free parking only a 10-12 minute walk away at Parquing Es Gorg.

Overall the hotel was good, fantastic location in the heart of the old town with access to taxis and the ferry terminal at your doorstep. The rooms were nicely decorated and spacious, roof top had great views and a DJ to set the mood. The one area which really needs improvement is housekeeping, the rooms were not cleaned properly, the bare minimum was done (refresh towels and made the bed).

The rooms looked exactly like the photos, very charming esthetics, but the furniture and mattress were not comfortable. None of the staff seemed to care that we were on our honeymoon. It took more than 24 hours but were were able to get out of the remaining reservation. It was conveniently located near a lot of shopping and restaurants. Nice view from the windows.

We were looking forward to returning to this elegant hotel but were disappointed on arrival to find that it has a new owner and that the stylish, art deco interior has had a 'refurb' and is now more farmhouse kitchen than resplendent hotel lobby - such a shame. The room, for now, are still as they were - luxurious and quite grand - but are soon to be 'up styled' too. The staff were great, friendly and helpful, but not quite as professional as on previous visits. There's no accounting for taste but it seems a real backwards step.

Clean large rooms. No common area whatsoever. It was supposed to have a roof deck, but that was closed until 7:30pm. There was also no concierge. The front desk staff tried to be helpful, but they were not knowledgeable, made poor recommendations and didn’t follow up on matters you discussed with them like making restaurant reservations.

The most fantastic location, beautiful building, delicious breakfast choices, very clean and well appointment, and we both also noticed they had the softest linen imaginable so made for a very comfortable sleep. The location and decor of this property are absolutely amazing! For people coming for a quick break, this is the perfect spot - minutes from the old town restaurants and shops along with being a short cab ride to the clubs. Staff were wonderful and happily moved us to the 3rd floor when we arrived. Additionally they granted us a late checkout which was ideal since we had an evening flight. One thing I will say is there is a very strong smell through the hotel and especially in the lobby. That is my only criticism. Whether it’s to do with the plumbing or if the room spray is being pumped too much, I’m not sure but I found it offensive when walking in and out of the lobby each day. The smell didn’t persist on our floor or in the room.
If you’re in Ibiza and want to be able to explore then definitely hire a car. We did not and found that we were missing the ability to easily see new things.

Everything was very good. The only thing it missed was a pool, spa and if you have an evening flight they should have a courtesy room so you can change etc but we were told they don’t have that facility.

This is one of my favourite hotels but i am very disappointed a pre payment was taken without my consent off a card i do not have permission for personal payments on (business only). I was expecting to pay full amount at the property and now have the hassle of sorting this out after my trip! Montesol is nice but it shouldn't really be a 5 star hotel, the standards aren't great - slow service, room not ready to check in at 4pm, quality of finish in the room a bit shoddy and not super clean. You can see that being owned by Hilton it's too much of a chain for a small hotel - would be better as a boutique 4 star with an actual owner on site to make sure standards are kept high. On the plus side, the design and overall look of the place is good and it's a fantastic location

Booked last minute as I wanted to extend my stay in Ibiza, I chose the Montesol due to its great location. The room was fantastic, extremely clean, and there’s was nothing that I needed that I could not find. Reception and the concierge service were very helpful and service was excellent - they managed to find a great hairdresser open during siesta hours, advised me about the different seating possibilities at Blue Marlin, recommended and book various beach clubs for me.
The breakfast is also fantastic, as was the room service. I wish I had checked out the roof terrace, but didn’t get a chance to. On Dayan I needed to sleep in to recover from late nights, the staff left me alone and promptly cleaned my room when i was ready to start the day again.
Pricing-wise, given i went at high season, this was good value compared to the other 5* in Ibiza, and as the hotel itself feels smaller and like it hasn’t character, I felt it wasn’t a great choice versus the behemoths in the island.
Location wise there te a lot of restaurants and shops nearby, a taxi stand round the corner and most of the interesting venues are within 10-15 minutes by cab.
All in all I heartily recommend the Montesol!
