The hotel is a nicely restored historical building with modern furnishings and old world charm. I booked a room with a sea view and did not receive that. Seemed like a sea view didn’t really exist considering there are buildings blocking the view. Anyway, we were given a suite with two rooms and beautiful restored fresco ceilings instead, that made up for it. Good air conditioning, WiFi, decent breakfast, big TVs, and walking distance to the Old Town.

The street in front was quite littered. The staff was awesome! They were so friendly and helpful. They even stored our luggage when we went to Millazo for a 10 hour boat trip and checked out of the hotel. The owner was also very friendly.

We enjoyed this BnB very much. Positives were the room size, the location and the superb restaurant on the ground floor. Recommendations would be different towels, some artwork on the spartan walls and some rugs on the tile floors. These would make the property a 5 star recommendation.

We stayed 2 nights. Our room was simple, spacious and clean. Very comfortable. We were greeted by friendly Eugene and Amelia, both of whom were very helpful during our stay. Breakfasts/coffee downstairs were easy and very good. It was a nice walk to the center of Palermo. Also a short walk to the harbor. Eugene helped arrange transportation to the airport. I think we chose well and would stay here again or recommend to friends. BnB Dolcevita is a gem in Palermo.

This hotel is charming and the staff was extremely welcoming and kind. Our room was outstanding and extremely comfortable.
The bed was very comfortable and we loved the large \"table\" at the end of the bed to put our suitcases. So practical and convenient.
The common room / breakfast room was lovely and the breakfast was fresh and delicious.
We highly recommend this hotel.

Only problem is that there is no kettle in the room. I find this inconvenient as i like to make a hot drink at night and early in the morning. Other than this , it is a perfect place as location is excellent and the owner/operator is really nice.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay. The room was nice and spacious. I would have liked a luggage stand, there was only one shelf and we had to put the other luggage on the floor. The breakfast was excellent although we would have preferred an earlier start, it’s only served 8:30- 10. Early risers can help themselves to tea.
The building is well kept with a nice elevator that takes you to the third floor. There is a nice park next to the building, unfortunately some homeless people sleep on the benches at night. But they don’t bother anyone.
Although walkable, we found the hotel to be a little further from the center than we would have liked. But all in all it was probably an extra 10 minute walk.
There was some mold or mildew on the shower wall above the ceramic. We were not concerned but it should get cleaned up.
Overall a nice stay and we would recommend.

Good location, 10 mins walking distance to historic centre and 5 mins to the new port venue area. Room very comfortable and clean. Traffic in Palermo is just mad ! Ask for rooms at the back of the property rather than facing the main road.
The communal kitchen on our floor was, unfortunately, not very clean and not stocked with coffee as promised.

Neighborhood is not so great, there is a small park next to the building which is populated by homeless people, so instead of walking through the nice alley in this park, we had to use other side of the street.

This place was amazing and would highly recommend to anyone staying in Palermo. It’s in a perfect spot, as it’s not right in the middle of the city, but close enough to walk and you don’t get the crazy city noise!
Our the manager/owner was an absolute gentleman and is super passionate about the city so will give you all the best tips on where to go.

We had a great stay! The room was very clean, and the host was welcoming and friendly. The location is convenient, with lots of cool places nearby, our hosts provided us with a map of the area and circled key points of interest we should visit. They also had a list of restaurants in the area to visit (check out “Seven” if you want to experience some amazing views of the city). The breakfast was tasty and was a nice way to start the day. I highly recommend staying here! We will stay here again during our next visit to Palermo!

Clean spacious but simple rooms, with minimal in room amenities (no safe, wine fridge only, etc). The beds were very comfortable which was a very nice perk. Comfortable furniture was also missing, only providing 2 dining/desk chairs. Breakfast and dining room is wonderful and delicious. Modern design, recent reno of a beautiful antique building while preserving tastefully chosen aspects of the original structure for an excellent mix of old and new. The staff are what make this place and are very friendly and helpful although I was not able to reach them on their preferred WhatsApp number.

The staff were very friendly and, above all, the room was clean, which I liked. However, there were some homeless people gathered next to the building. They would talk to us and follow us, which was a bit scary (since we were traveling as a group of women). Other than that, I really liked the hotel overall! Parking was easy, and there was a supermarket nearby.

My husband and I and our 3 year old son had a fabulous time in Palermo and at Dolcevita!

Beautiful room and hotel very close to lots of great restaurants and sites to see. The staff was absolutely wonderful and helpful. They provided a list of restaurant/etc suggestions and everything we tried was top notch and perfect.

I would stay here again and again. And I hope to do so soon!

The staff was very accommodating, awaiting our arrival at 1:00 in the morning. The BnB was hard to find because the signage does not make it obvious that it is the Doclevita BnB. A guy walking his dog at 1:00 am told us where it was at or we may not have found it. Otherwise, a very nice room, wonderful staff, and a good breakfast.

Other people have mentioend the homeless people in the park opposite - we found this, however they caused no issues at all and we felt safe at all times.
Location was great - 2 minute walk to the harbour and the new fountain and 10 minutes from the centre of the historic town.

The staff is wonderful and accommodating, but unfortunately I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel. The hotel is under construction, which wasn’t stated anywhere when we booked. The hotel is located on an extremely busy road and we had to switch rooms we couldn’t sleep because the traffic is nonstop. We got moved to the opposite side of the hotel and you could still hear the traffic. It was much quieter, but half of the amenities in our room didn’t work. The TV and wifi didn’t work, which is inconvenient when your cell service isn’t great being in another country. Our shower wouldn’t drain and even flowed onto the floor. I think the hotel has a lot of potential when it is completely renovated.

Cons - no safe in the room, breakfast is the same everyday, reception is not always open, surrounding area does not seem safe so I won't stay there if I'm traveling alone.

The only concern was that the property is located near a park with homeless people. If you are walking home late, I would just use the main street. They were nice and no one bothered us. Great place to stay when visiting Palermo

Owner is a wonderful thoughtful man, the room is very spacious, clean and comfortable beds, the only thing that frustrated us a lot is the sink faucet in the bathroom has a sensor which is not something you put in a hotel room bathroom, if you need to get hot water you cannot and you have to aim right while washing your face for the water to start, this is our only complaint, but otherwise we certainly recommend this hotel, location is also centralized. I really hope owners reconsider those touch faucets in bathrooms.
I must add that owner took out an espresso coffee machine and a snack knowing we were leaving very early in the morning and we really appreciated that very much, very thoughtful.

The only thing I’d change is to have better lighting in the bedroom as impossible to put make-up on at the bedroom mirror. Nice friendly staff. We have had a superb few days staying in the delightful accommodation that is Dolcevita Boutique BnB.
The original palazzo building has been saved by the owners Eugenio and Adriano, and is in the process of being lovely restored.
They have managed to create a unique welcoming environment, combining the best of the traditional and the contemporary.
Enter through the impressive wooden front door, into the original hallway and take the modern lift to the second level, containing the reception, breakfast area nine rooms.
The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean with large beds and superior mattresses.
The excellent range for breakfast is a great start to the day and is made even more so by the lovely Giuditta. She is super efficient, always welcoming and genuinely interested in helping you plan your day.
Dolcevita is in a quieter part of Palermo and it takes no time at all to walk to the places of interest.
We can highly recommend Dolcevita for a pleasant and rewarding stay when next visiting Palermo.

The hotel is so beautiful! It is located in a newly restored antique building, so you get all the style and amenities of a new building but also some charming historical heritage. The staff are so lovely and accommodating. They made reservations for us at a recommended restaurant (Enoteca Butticè - which was delicious) and helped us arrange a taxi for checkout as well. The daily breakfast was also very well done, and my boyfriend who knows quality coffee said the coffee served was top tier. Overall we had an amazing stay and the location was perfect. Our host even gave us a map and pointed out all the top sites to visit, which are all within walking distance from the hotel. I will gladly recommend this hotel to friends and family visiting Palermo.

Although our taxi driver could not find it, the Dolce Vita certainly lived up to its name. Such a beautiful renovation of an old building with first class fittings and luxury touches.

Our only not so great comment was the noise that came from above, we thought we had a basketball match going on- but it was just the people in the family apartment upstairs running back and forth.

Great location and Staff but parking difficult

Welcome and Staff excellent. I did check on Parking and was reassured it was possible! But there was only off street parking but no spaces so I had to pay an extra 30 euros to garage the car for the two nights

Dolcevita is a beautifully restored older building near the waterfront of Palermo. Everything is fresh and modern but with touches of history and tradition. The owner who is in has many wonderful suggestions for your time in Palermo.
Giudita is helping with reservations, directions or other needs you may have.
We stayed almost week and will miss them

Best boutique hotel in Palermo

The location is very convenient for the marina and the centre of Palermo is just a few minutes walk away. Our rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated and clean. The air conditioning was a blessing and the WiFi had good signal. The breakfast was excellent. But the most memorable feature was the warmth and hospitality of the owner, Eugene - thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!

Dolce Vita is a very nice place and with super a super friendly team. We were provided with excellent tips and recommendations to really get to enjoy authentic Sicilian foods and get to see several hidden gems in Palermo and in many other places around the island. The renovation of the house is really well done and the room was extremely clean at all times. I really thank Eugenio and the team for their service and engagement with the guests
