Bargain hotel in a great location a short walk from the historic centre. Clean & comfortable spacious rooms, a nice bright lobby and helpful staff. Breakfast isn't great, but that's about the only knock. Great location for lots of nearby restaurants, so not a major issue.

Hotel is located on a busy street. It is very noisy even late at night. However it is conveniently located within walking distance to politeama airport shuttle bus drop off. The room and bathroom look very tired and old. The water drainage in the shower and sink is slow.

Would I stay there again… yes. That being said, there were issues with the room door. It felt loose and there was no way to secure it from inside. The shower was ridiculously small. The entire bathroom could be enlarged easily without sacrificing any usable space in the room. The curtains fell off the track… they should be replaced. The highlight of our stay was the staff. They couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant.

The staff are kind and polite. The room is large but old. The air conditioner is old and doesn't cool very well. Housekeeper is not good enough. Do not clean even if it is dusty. Italy is generally weak, so I don't really care. Breakfast is delicious. Convenient location. The bus stop is also a 1-minute walk. But not 4 stars. If it is 3 stars, it is sufficient cost performance.

Property is in a good location, walkable to most of the major sites and the breakfast is quite nice. The condition of the property is a little disappointing (quite outdated with some obvious maintenance issues, shower wouldn't drain for example) although the bed was comfortable and the TV had been replaced. The cleaning of the room wasn't great either and there was still dust in obvious areas. The rooms are also not well soundproofed and the noise from the road is still quite loud even from the 4th floor.

I do not recommend, very small room for 4 persons, old bathroom facilities, small and old TV, very old furniture, unexpected for a 4 * Ibis hotel. I paid 100 EUR/night for 2 * conditions. I told them it didn’t look like what I saw in the pictures but they said it was Expedia’s fault

Budget hotel, pictures are not real and misleading

Don't believe the pictures, it's a small and dark, dates hotel, it has had a lick of paint but is dark and old, room was very low ceilings and the TV was about 14 inch and stuffed inside a bookcase. Air-conditioning would cut off every 15 minutes once it reached its temperature but would not kick back on when temperatures rose. Which they did very quickly. A very stuffy, dark and old hotel. Position is good but parking is very difficult. Good of you can get a cheap price but do not believe the pictures or star rating, a very budget hotel. Felt very rushed and under pressure at breakfast by staff waiting to clean up and leave

Ibis hotels are usually convenient. This one too because of the price and location. Nothing else instead. Old building and furniture, no gowns which should be present in a 4 star hotel, maids who did not come to clean or even ask to empty the trash basket, noise coming from the hall.
To be honest, the front desk girls were kind.

staff (long blond hair who wear glasses) is unwilling to tell us the sightseeing points, after asking the first question, she circle the place on the map very fast and rude, i ask her the second question, her eye is despise to me, i don’t know why she is such impolite to me. the room is very close to the elevator, at night i don’t know why there was so many trolleys moving and make much noise. This is the worst ibis i lived!

I have stayed at the hotel several times and each time I have
had a most enjoyable stay. The hotel is conveniently located in
Via Roma not far from Piazza Politeama, one of the stopping
points of the airport bus. Management is friendly and attentive
and the breakfast is superb. There are convenient bus connections
to Stazione Centrale and other points. Not far from the hotel is
the archeological museum, well worth a visit. I am happy to recommend
this hotel.

unfortunately, the one thing that I needed to work from the moment of arrival - the wifi - couldn't access the internet for much of the time. I half-thought it was my laptop until arriving at another hotel the next day, when the wifi worked fine. there is a problem here that needs to be rectified

I have visited this hotel several times and each time I have been
most favorably impressed. The location of the hotel is ideal...close
to Piazza Politeama and not far from the Post Office on Via Roma.
The Archeological Museum and the Regional Art Museum are
a short distance away. Management is friendly and attentive and
the breakfast hour is an extremely pleasant experience. I am happy
to recommend this hotel.

Lovely stay, excellent location

We arrived late in the evening and were greeted warmly by the lady on reception. Our room was a excellent size - given this was part of a two week trip it had plenty of room for suitcases without us tripping over them. Our room was on the 9th floor so we weren’t disturbed by the busy street below. Breakfast was good. It is situated in a good location for the sites, restaurants and is about a 30 minute walk from the train station

A good value city centre choice

I would recommend this hotel as the location is great for exploring Palermo. Also the staff throughout were very friendly. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet. However the hotel room suffered from poor maintenance, particularly the air conditioning unit. The choice of all furniture and coverings in dark colours made the room rather oppressive.

No tea/coffee facilities in the room. I stayed for 10 nights and they didn't change the bed sheet... Got itchy rashes after 3 days.
Free breakfast but most things were straight out of packet/supermarket.

No Frills Hotel

Was travelling with family and we wanted a place to comfortably relax after having gone around Sicily by train for the past week. We booked a few rooms and were kind of shocked by how \"no frills\" everything was when we settled in. Some of the things that stuck out were:
- bed wasn't comfortable and very low to the ground
- shower took a long time to get adequate pressure and heat

The room we received was below an expected standard for 4*.I had no alternative but to double the agreed price in exchange of a room with an adequate standard(they called this room a suite but even was a much better room than the first one we were offered it is hard to call it a suite)

A most enjoyable return visit

The hotel is very conveniently located on Via Roma, a short distance from Piazza Politeama. There are lots of
shops and restaurants nearby. There are two good museums within walking distance...the Museo Regionale
and the Museo Archeologico. The Teatro Politeama and the Teatro Massimo are also nearby.

The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The hotel was clean. Breakfast was a little disappointing, Italians were offered coffee and eggs and bacon but we were not. Not a bad hotel, with a little more friendliness and service it would be very good.

Nice, centrally located hotel

As hoped, the hotel was ideal for a week in the capital of Palermo, modern and nicely kept with a good buffet breakfast spread. Very well located, a walk away from all the attractions, but also very near the coach and bus pick-up and drop-off spots for airport transfers, a trip to Mondello for the nearest beach, and a prearranged heritage trip to Eriche and Segesta etc. A long walk to the rail station for a trip to Cefalú though!

Hotel staff was very friendly. The rooms, however, are very noisy. Lots of noise from the streets and the walls are paper thin. You can hear rooms next door flushing toilets and people talking. We were also covered in bug bites from the bed. Wifi is terrible. Do not recommend this hotel.

Pleasant hotel, well located, large room. Only problem was the air conditioning unit which was noisy. Hotel did not fix the problem. In addition, the hotel switches off the air conditioning during the day to reduce costs... lots of good restaurans around, walking distance from the bus to the airport and to public transportation. The pillows were on the flat side.

Hotel needs update

The hotel did not provide airport shuttle so add 55 Euro for trip to hotel. Rooms smelled badly of cigarette smoke. Air conditioning turns off at 2 AM and opening windows lets in tons of street noise. Lobby was only nice place. Breakfast was good, but that's Italy after all.
