The staff there was amazing. Andraina was the front desk girl and she was super helpful. She told us what restaurants were good. She would have his cars booked when we needed them. The housekeeper was great. She gave us some Mass to take to us when we went on our cruise ship and I cannot forget about Jovanna. She was the one in the restaurant that would make us fresh squeezed orange juice every morning. She danced and dance to my husband for his birthday. Just a lovely lady. I highly recommend staying at this place. It's like a boutique hotel, four stars and it's right by all the shopping and by the marina for the cruises. So you're right by everything. You can literally walk everywhere. I give this a hotel a 12 out of 10. If you want to experience things there just talk to them. They will get you the right drivers and everything we went to a little place called Monreal. Our driver's name was Luigi and he was fantastic. If you can get him as a driver while you stay there definitely ask for him. Thank you for making our honeymoon, 5-year anniversary, and birthdays amazing!

The room was really noisey …. Pipes were constantly heard in room every time another room used the water …. Sounded like construction noise about 9pm. Disappointing breakfast .

We could not use the parking garage because our sedan was too low slung…the staff was very helpful and found the nearest above ground option. I’m sure, following our experience, they can direct others quickly.

I was not able to stay at the Artemisia. They had a ‘problem’ of some kind with a customer, so had no availability, despite the fact that I booked this ages ago, The hotel moved me way out of downtown Palermo to a place somewhat suburban. I lost a half day of my time in Palermo as a result. The substitute hotel was nice enough, and they comp’d me dinner, thankfully, because there wasn’t another place open AND worth figuring out how to get to. Memorable, yes. So did they bump me because I was a solo traveler, or was it just random …? I think one of the adverts for the place said ‘sound proof rooms’ to which I would add ,,,,sort of.

To start, the staff is phenomenal! Truly, they go above and beyond!! The rooms are amazing, clean. Area is safe, cute restaurants around the corner. Minutes away from the markets and shops. Hop on hop off bus just across the street. Very safe to be in the evening. Great experience.

The location is excellent, very close to restaurants and a few minutes away from major attractions. The staff is very nice and helpful. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom needs some refurbishment and the shower very small. Overall a good convenient place to stay.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. WARNING. Appalling. Staff members are completely obnoxious, rooms are TINY. Not to mention the size of the shower - i could barely fit inside (no exaggeration). More importantly. reason for this review: The first night we got to the hotel, we tried to access the shower in the room as we had been sweating on the flight to Italy... and due to covid, having a shower was a priority for us. Upon turning on the shower, the water would not go down the drain. it was clearly blocked. When we called reception, the male staff was EXTREMLEY RUDE, was raising his voice and refused to send us to another room to have a shower. He said \"just have one tomorrow\" in a very abrupt and rude tone. I kindly asked him to not speak to me in this way. Anyway, so listen to this deceitful behaviour by the hotel!! > staff agreed to refund us for the first night which was kind. I thought okay, thats a nice gesture. I didnt even think of writing a negative review. Anyway, so i contact expedia and explain that the hotel has agreed to refund me and asked that i request the refund through expedia seeing as i purchased the stay through them. EXPEDIA THEN SAID THE HOTEL IS REFUSING TO PROCESS THE REFUND. What obnoxious, deceitful and disingenuous behaviour from the hotel. I didnt enjoy my stay at all and i would go as far as saying that staying at this hotel ruined our holiday. The breakfast was awful. poor and limited choices and NOT FRESH. They had the same cakes for days on end

Artemisia hotel

The good: The staff is friendly and front desk speaks multiple languages and it is very clean throughout. Furniture is new, but it is plain and cheap. Functional, but not comfortable to stay in the room for extended periods of time. The included breakfast was adequate. The location is excellent for shopping and sightseeing and there are many excellent restaurants close by.

The bad: The entire facility is stone, marble, and tile. No carpeting at all in the rooms. While it is clean, this means it is exceptionally LOUD. You can hear running water, showers, and toilets flushing from neighboring rooms and other floors. When furniture is moved – the entire ceiling or floor rattles. When people are talking (or drunk) coming up and down the stairs, you can hear every step they take and their voices boom throughout the entire hotel. The doors all slam shut and the walls echoed.

There were two small windows in my room, so no view and little natural light. My room began to smell like cooking food and cigarette smoke. At the center of the courtyard is a very loud family that cooks and smokes all day. It was disgusting.

Bathroom is tiny and cramped.

At least the hotel is clean, but I would never stay here again

A very decent hotel with a good rate and location

I chose the hotel mainly because it's out of ZTL. Also unlike B&B, it provides all the amenities plus a 24-hr front desk. Unfortunately at check-in I was met with a terrible receptionist, who doesn't speak English, no clue on an offsite parking rate (quoted > 50EUR/night, rather than previously agreed 20EUR/night), refused/don't-know-how to give me a 2nd room card-key (it's the plastic type that needs to plug in for the room to get power). It's just ridiculous for her to insist a couple who stayed 3 nights to reply on only one room key. (This problem was fixed the next day by more experienced front desk staff, who took no time to produce a 2nd room key for me.)

Otherwise the hotel is very decent, good location, room is a bit small but breakfast was very very good!

Don’t stay here

I chose this hotel because it advertises that it has an airport shuttle. It doesn’t have a shuttle, all they will do is call a taxi or car for you. Any and every hotel in Palermo will do that.
The woman at the front desk who claim to be the manager said it shouldn’t be expected because it’s a small hotel. Perhaps, but then don’t advertise an airport shuttle.
Also clean? Maybe. But shabby.

The hotel is a budget hotel and for the price, you get what you pay for. Definitely not 4 stars. Maybe 2. Front desk staff super nice, which I why I didn’t go for an even lower rating. But the home is old, outdated, my room had no windows, etc etc.

Great hotel, the 101 bus from the train station stops outside the front door so really easy to find. Our room was fine but no proper windows which was odd cleaned everyday and towels changed too. Water pipes were a bit noisy at night though. Sky TV in English was a bonus after a day's sightseeing. Breakfast fine if not spectacular but staff made up for that.

Modern boutique style hotel. Very well cleaned everyday. Spacious bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Staff very accommodating and welcoming. Air conditioning worked well. Fairly central although a long walk from the station.
Room was very comfortable but was too small (there are larger rooms available). There was insufficient storage in the room - four coat hangers for two people and no drawer storage.

The hotel is in a good location, fifteen minutes walk from many places of interest.
We had a room in the loft so the window was very small and high up , there was basically no view so not too keen about that. The hotel was not full when we stayed so we were wondering why they had not put us on one of the other floors (our room was the only one on the 5th floor, which also had no lift since that only went to the 4th).
Breakfast was ok but nothing special.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

In such a great location perfect to get to everything the rooms were amazing so comfortable and spacious really impressed. The breakfast in the morning is not great and the staff need to smile and be happy that is the only thing lacking. The reception staff are great maybe they should train their colleagues in the cafe on happinesses! There is no bar in the evening but that does not matter to much. Would so stay there again.

The staff are all very welcoming without exception which was not the case in all the hotels in Palermo. The manager, Giovani, tended to any request whether it be my room or touring suggestions. The hotel breakfast was pleasant and the location is great. They made me feel at home, and they all spoke English well. A true gem in Palermo.

A window would have made all the difference

If we had been allocated a room with a window, we would have found the hotel acceptable, but certainly not 'great' or 'fabulous'. As it was, our room was depressing as the only natural light was from an opaque fanlight at ceiling level. We were very disappointed to be expected to accept this room and, as they could offer no alternative, we demanded a refund from day two. We were fortunate to find an excellent room in the Mercure Hotel just round the corner.

Beautiful hotel in the centre of palermo

From the moment we arrived (2 hours before check in) we were made to feel welcome and our room was ready within 20 mins. The hotel is Immaculate and the breakfast choice is superb.
We were told about the local sights and the best way to see them. The hotel also recommended a great restaurant for our evening meal. This is a beautiful boutique hotel and we would definately stay again.

First visit to Palermo.

Excellent reception, friendly and very helpful staff. They made a booking for us at a wonderful restaurant close by, which was fortunate as it was the Easter weekend and we had the last table available. Lovely breakfast with lots of variety. Our room was nice though the shower very small, anyone large would have great difficulty getting in and out! The only other issue was noise from the street which was horrendous on the Saturday night we arrived though much improved for the other two nights. This is probably an issue common to all central Palermo hotels.

A great hotel with efficient friendly staff. The rooms were lovely if a tad dated in parts but in good condition and spotlessly clean. The breakfast room was well stocked and serviced with great choices and fantastic coffee. The local area was fairly quiet for a city centre location and was very close to the cruise port which we needed. Shopping district was also nearby. For the price paid it was excellent value.

Adventures in Palermo

We were a group of 6 people and upon arrival on Thursday at Palermo airport I was informed my luggage didn't make the flight from Rome. We made it to the hotel and Giovanni was working the front desk. I informed him upon arrival that my luggage was supposed to be there the next day. That didn't happen, I ended up having no luggage until Saturday. Giovanni was great, he helped me get my clothes out to the laundry across the street, so I could at least have clean clothes.

The entire staff was friendly and helpful, they assisted with booking a private excursion to Segesta and Eriche, recommended restaurants and helped with reservations.

Breakfast was nice but cramped conditions.
Room was comfortable but more care should be taken in cleaning door handles as they were very grubby particularly in the bathroom. You need to remember this is the first thing people touch.
