Newly renovated room that comes with bathtub. It does provide tooth paste tooth brush unlike what others have said. Hotel is near to hwai hwang market which is good for late night shopping. The only downside is the swimming pool which is rather poorly maintained and seen no one using it either.

Hotel is located pretty near Huai Khwang rail station. Come out of Exit 4 and walk for about 10 minutes and you would reach the hotel.

On check-in, staff were pleasant.
Rooms were pretty clean.
Mattresses and bolsters were slightly hard but not rock hard.
No coffee or tea packets in the room. Plain water is given every day for each person in the room but they are in glass bottles so not very handy when bringing them out of the room.
TV channels were mostly in Thai, except for 1 movie channel.

Breakfast spread was ok.

Gym was pretty small. Pool is only 1.1 m deep.

Overall an ok stay considering the amount you're paying for the hotel.

Also might wanna take note that the phone number listed on Expedia is not the updated one. The new number is +66 2 290 0170.

The best feature of this hotel was the morning breakfast bar...it was excellent and the staff was friendly. To the contrary, the front desk employees were very rude and rarely offered a smile. The “fitness center” was two torn up treadmills and a few free weights. Our power in our room suddenly went off at 1:00 am and we woke up at 3:00 drenched in sweat. Giving credit when due, they did fix that pretty quickly. The website iof this hotel makes it look upscale but it’s missing the mark in a big way.

Hotel that needs some modernisation. Unfortunately feels like they are penny pinching everything as they never fail to mention an upgrade to anything or a cost at an extra fee. Which becomes frustrating after a while. The room was adequately clean but was in desperate need of renovation, the air conditioner was particularly loud and old. It was okay for the price but I wouldn’t come back in the future. There is better in Bangkok for the price

The hotel is in an ok location and I found the staff in the restaurant and the bar friendly. However some of the reception staff we’re unhelpful we booked a trip through the hotel to the floating village which is an absolute rip off and to the river kwai. The river kwai was good to visit but again no helpful tips from the hotel organizer to where to go and what to see. Given the fact that this an expensive trip And took 4 hours to get there I think this is really bad form. When we queried this with the hotel organizers as to additional costs. He was reluctant to tell us. Overall this was not a good experience and wouldn’t recommend the place

The lobby is very modern, clean & stylish. Property is maintained very well. Friendly staff, quick check in. The room is large and spacious. Bathroom has excellent water pressure. I highly recommend this room for something close to the airport (I believe it was only 200-250 baht on taxi meter) if you need somewhere to rest your head after a long flight. The beer and liquor is a little expensive compared to general prices around the area but the 24hr cafe is a fair trade off. I will definitely stay again

Trust me guys! A 4 stars hotel that is like a 1 star which is maybe why they provide a cheaper price. Receptionist over at the counter was rude and the hotel condition is a total trash! They will refuse to change your room and insist to charge you even though you don't stay with them as the condition was really bad... Think a million time before consider to book this nonsense

Budget Hotel with Taste

Hotel is located along the main road. Lobby is huge and the air-con is very strong,whether in the morning,afternoon or night. Room is not too big, just the right size for a couple. In room amenities are the standard SOP. TV channels have English and Chinese channels. Breakfast is good with American Breakfast and Continental Breakfast is served. Huay Kwang BTS station is about 7mins walk. To reach Esplanade Mall in 2 stations from Huay Kwang station. You can visit the 3D Art Paradise and in the evenings, you can visit the Train Night Market ( Talad Rod Fai ). Big C and The Street shopping mall is within walking distance of about 15 to 20 minutes. Huay Kwang Market is 10mins away and there is lots of eateries and not forgetting Massage Palours too. The God Ganesha statue is around the corner for your offerings and praying.

Comfy nice hotel next to Swissotel

Super nice hotel away from the usual city area. But very convenient to travel around the area as it is located very closely to the MRT station there. Near to the Huai Kwang night market too. Will definitely stay there again in my next trip to BKK. Not so much of foreigners, hardly any in sight. Mostly locals here, so if you are going for that kinda experience, this is the place for you :)

Pardon BAD reception service, otherwise an OK stay

The pillows are good, bed is comfy. Toilet and furniture are in ok condition... A VERY bad point was the reception. It’s either his English is BAD or his service is bad... I called to ask for air-freshener as the room reeks of smoke (apparently someone smoked on a non-smoking floor), his response was: “I don’t know who smoke, I don’t know, all rooms full.” His response was the same even when I tried to speak slower or use simpler english. Gave up and hang up phone.
Luckily for the hotel, the bell boy/ luggage handlers are friendly and helpful. Otherwise I would never stay here again...

The location is good. Near to the shopping mall like the street, esplanade n etc. The ratchada night market is just 10 min walking distance. Staff are rude when requested for laundry bags. Communication barrier. We stayed in for 2 nights in a 3 person room. Additional bed is not comfortable with joining two thin and small bed making us difficult to sleep. Rooms are not soundproof. We can hear the phone ringing non-stop.

Fair hotel for value but that is about it

The hotel appears to have a lot of tourists groups, I booked 2 smoking rooms on the same floor, the day we check in that was completely neglected by the hotel, and after raising the question, was informed that all smoking rooms were gone and have to change it the next day. There is also \"free upgrade\" on the booking which was denied by the hotel. The next day, they did upgrade us to deluxe room, which is better. The location of the hotel is great, walking distance to shopping centres and MRT. Cleanliness and comfortness are both up to expectation. However, there is NO dental package, and they charged me 160 baht for two sets of tooth brushes and tooth paste, quite shocking. All in all, if you are on a budget and are not after the top quality can definitely try this one out when it is on a deal!

Simply HORRIBLE

Bellboys, receptions were busy talking among themselves when we walked in. Given a wrong room to us Room has a weird smell and many big size mosquitos. The bathroom stinks and cleaners are at the lowest level. The kettle was HORRIBLE, like it hasn't been used for years! Same thing happened upon checkout, nobody ever attends to you! Location is in the middle of nowhere too. Complete waste of money!!!

Used this hotel in the past when it was the Siam Bay view and it was good.

Since the change of name it has gone downhill.

The staff are unfriendly. the rooms are average.

The restaurant has diminished, breakfast is pretty good.

The concierge ordered us a taxi from the roadside and told the driver to add 100 baht to the price, for himself.....what a cheek.

The nice hotel was crawling was noisy and rude Chinese and crass and loud Koreans. At night, outside the hotel room, they were talking at the top of their voice for 20-30 minutes. The Koreans were hogging the lift by taking it to the top 14th floor from the 6th floor and down to ground. Frustrating.

My Stay at Bangkok Cha-Da hotel was exceptional in every regard. The room was very comfortable and met all of my needs.

The staff were exceptional as well and always went out of their way to assist me whether it be to assist me in sightseeing or hailing a taxi.

The Hotel was close to a Major Mall shopping area as well as many food choices. The cost of the Hotel was very little in comparison in what services and services it provided.

The Buffet Breakfast had many choices of delicious food and appeared to focus on Asian and Western Dishes.

I highly recommend Bangkok cha-Da Hotel when traveling to Bangkok.

Good experience in Bangkok. Hotel was cool in lobby, but very hot in elevator, stairwell, and halls. Hotel doesn't provide face cloths and body lotion. What they call face cloths are out hand towels. Didn't provide enough toilet paper such as leaving a spare roll. Breakfastt buffet ends at 9:30 am, so when I needed to sleep in, I would have to miss it or end up in a rush. The staff didn't appear very friendly.

Cigarette burn in my bed linen... Right on top... Lots of extra charges, a car service that cost a fortune and then didn't take me where I wanted but instead over priced other spots. A girl traveling alone... Did not enjoy at all... Have spent more money per night on known 5 star but I think in the long run will be the same cost and much happier....feel safer.... Valued as a customer. I am returning to Bangkok but won't be returning to Cha Da.

I was out the door in 5min

VERY disappointed. I arrived around midnight, and the entrance hall smelled like a very old moulded place. The staff have very poor english, they handed me a room key that looked like a punch card. At the room I found a smoker room, very smelling. The room was clean, but in no way represented the photos in the website. I just left straightaway, lost AUD$250, and went to Swissotel Le Concorde next door. There I had a great time.

Once is enough

This is the 1st hotel that I came across without kettle and that's not the worst part. Imagine a hotel without power supply for 6 hours, no aircon and lift not working. You have to walk 12th storey back into your room. The hours used to maintain or check your system is way too long. Especially it was done on Sunday morning.... I'm sure that this is my 1st & last visit this hotel.

Cha-Da is clean and well maintained. I stayed in this location as it is nearby the dental centre (BIDC). The staff are friendly helpful and efficient.
I find the beds are too hard, but this seems to be almost universal in Thailand.
They charge for wifi (200 baht per day !!) I got a Thai SIM instead.

Reasonable but you could do better.

The hotel itself looks very nice and modern initially, rooms less so. Location is good as it's not too far from the malls and stuff so taxi drivers are far less likely to turn you away 'it's on their way' as it were. Room was a pleasant size but no tea making facilities AT ALL. Rooms were clean but a lot of build up of dust behind the bin so its cleaned on a visual level. Breakfast is pretty mediocre but You do feel like the staff are watching you almost willing you to eat quicker.

The gym is pointless don't bother with it. The pool was ok though, a few loungers to get tanned up on before heading out for the evening.

Out the front door head right for a nice seafood restaurant a couple of bars and a 7 eleven. Head left for an even better (more expensive) seafood restaurant and some street food carts.

On a whole good for the price but you might want to bring a kettle.

Note: Not an area for families, debatable for couples.

I reached at 11pm and was disappointed with the location and neighbourhood. Its in a way off location though near to a metro station. I was actually upgraded to a superior room on 4th floor. The corridor gives an impression of a dingy hotel. The whole xperience was not to my liking especially with the reception staff who were totally not interested in serving you. I was so frustrated that i opted to move out to another hotel in Sukumvit area even though i lost my two nights money at this hotel, as i had booked a non refundable room rate. I request Hotel.com to check the quality of hotels before publishing them on your website.

The hotel manager, apparently the highest one in rank at the front desk, does not care about what a worried guest thinks and is very inconsiderate by saying everything is \"hotel policy\". Having guest stand and wait 20 minutes at the front desk just trying to get an urgent laundry service, and disregard guest being upset.

An American Review...

Overall, this was a nice and comfortable place. The service, with the exception of a few, younger employees, was very good. For the most part, they were quite attentive to my needs. They took the time to know me, and made an extra effort to cater to my individual needs. That was impressive. The young girl at the bar remembered exactly what I wanted, each time I visited, and was a total \"ray of sunshine.\" She consistently brightened my day with her smile, and every day I was there! Her name was Tea.
