Generally good but scope for improvement.

Good points were cleanliness, the comfortable bed, efficient AC, and the nearness to the MRT and a Big C supermarket and mall. Not so good were the difficulty in finding the hotel first time round, the monotonous breakfast, the lack of any English language or news channels on TV, and, for us, being given the smallest room on the floor (7303) despite booking in for 11 nights and booking months in advance. The hotel was clearly used by many large Chinese tour groups, and I suspect that all the best rooms were reserved for them.

I enjoyed the stay but if you are the first visitor to BKK, I don’t think it’s the ideal place to stay as most of the places and activities which tourists want are quite far away, 40 mins . However, there are plenty of transports nearby to go around and decent shopping centres and food.

I booked the triple room. The double bed was huge (king size) and the room was clean. However, the walls are very thin (can hear other guests talking). No slippers and no tissue paper in the room. The breakfast is ok and the staff replenishes the food. TV channels are Thai except for 2 - 3 channels in English, and difficulty adjusting volume. A short stay is ok; not suitable for long stay.

The breakfast offers 6 set options amd is sufficient for a low maintenance traveler. If you want luxury, this isnt your place, but if you want convenient and affordable, this hotel will satisfy.

Clean hotel with spacious rooms. Located just behind Big C Super Market. We walked about 25 min to Central Rama 9. MRT Thailand Cultural Center is the closest subway station from hotel. Breakfast was ok, we had to order Mains out of Fried Rice/Noodle or Hamburger. They also lay out mini buffet for guests which includes Tea/Coffee/Juice, Yogurt, Fruits, Sausages, Eggs and Toasts. We stayed there one night.

I gave 4* for the property and facilities because, [i] bathroom’s door sagged (difficult to close/lock the toilet’s door) [ii] no power point at pantry (had to place it elsewhere to boil water) [iii] traditional lockset (requires physical key lock whenever you leave the room, not keycard access), but these are minor issues considering price I paid for.
Overall I gave 5* for the convenience, the hotel location I can walk to Big C, food court, restaurants, mall. Provision of pantry with sink makes it easy for making beverages even when bathroom is occupied. Spacious room, clean linens, in event you forgot to bring power adapter, note they did provide an international socket outlet (only 1 located next to bed), the rest are thai socket outlets. will come back to stay again.

Great value for money. Helpful friendly staff, good breakfast, clean comfortable room. It may be my problem but the shower water wasn't hot enough - not cold either, though.
I walked to the hotel from the MRT Thailand Cultural Centre station. Not far but I had only an overnight bag. I had difficulty finding the road through to the hotel (It's the roadway to Big C parking space, between Big C and Street shopping centre). I have already planned two more visits to Prom Ratchada.

First day woke up, air conditioning was warm. Told the staffs to come and check, quick enough they arrived to check and said was cold. Shortly after they left, anout 5min the air con had cracking sound ( its like inside frozen), then started to shoot ice out.

Called them again, finally, they agreed to change our room (only when this happened then change, at first they reluctant to change)

So…. Bla bla called to lobby to collect keys as usual, moved up to new room. BUT at counter they WASNT ANY service recovery or like any sincerity to apologise. It is like 830AM IN THE MORNING. What an unpleasant short trip vacation.

The Manager was horrible, terrible. Not fit to be.

I am expecting a half day refund from this hotel. For wasting my morning sleep to pack everything and change room with NO service recovery on the spot.

Argued with them but i was gonna have a long day later on so i took it and go back rest.

A 5 minutes de la sortie 4 de la station de métro \"Thailand cultural center\", vous allez en direction du BIG C, vous entrer dedans et traverser la galerie marchande et vous y êtes. Actuellement il y a 2 bâtiments Tower A et B et bientôt C. Nous étions dans la tower B, c'est neuf, chambre moderne et neuve, excellent wifi. il y a une piscine, bien pratique après une journée de visite. Seul bémol est le petit déjeuner restrictif et répétitif avec un mix choix du plat chaud à la carte et le reste en buffet, pas de viennoiseries,.

Budget Hotel with lots of Shopping Complex

Checking in was smooth. Room is spacious but no carpet. Simple amenities with a cupboard, a locker with Key in the cupboard (key is attached to your room key), a simple toilet with Shower Jel, Shampoo and Conditioner. Wifi was good. Breakfast was not too bad as they have 9 menus for you to choose from. The swimming pool is small but clean. There is a Fitness centre on the 2nd floor. My room window was overlooking the Big C Supermarket. Big C Supermarket is just opposite the Hotel Entrance and the best part is it is opened till 2am for your shopping needs. The food court closes at 10pm daily. Next to Big C is The Street which is a Shopping Complex. Metro Station Thailand Cultural Center is about less than 10 mins walk from hotel. Further down the Metro Station is the Esplanade Mall and the 3D Art Paradise is on the 4th floor. Just behind this Mall, its the famous Train Night Bazaar Rachada. It opens from 6pm till about 1am for your shopping of cheap and bargainable products and nice street food. Worth staying this hotel and the location is surrounded with shopping and food.

Great location

The location of the hotel can be a bit confusing for most as the hotel is located in a small alley at the back of the big c supermarket.

Hotel serves a basic breakfast but not buffet style. I felt it was adequate with unlimited coffee, and bread.

There is a tiny pool at the ground level.
The hotel fulfilled my needs. Very clean rooms although dated. Efficient staff a bit reserved but polite and efficient.

The entrance to the hotel is a bit congested with a sea of motorcycles.
The public transport system is about a 8 minute walk from the car park of the big c supermarket.

As a seasoned traveller to Bangkok I did not find any difficulty locating the hotel.

Its at the back of the big c supermarkwt. For the taxi you can ask the driver to enter soi lane 7 ratchada and take the first left. The hotel is on the right hand side after about 200 meters in this narrow street.

I will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Not a disaster but that almost was!

OK, but rather noisy for that non-central location; one side of the hotel is facing a busy road full of rowdy motorcycles which at not at all shy of making the most noise they can. I booked three nights and \"management\" put me right in front of that busy side, but, luckily upon some diplomacy skills, front desk did move me to the other far quieter side, thus making my stay far more pleasant. I frankly had serious thoughts about forgoing my three night non-refundable stay had this change of side did not occur! Swimming pool is a welcome sight but dreadfully cold (I managed to make use of it upon wearing a wet suit of sort). Breakfast is dismal and minimal by Thailand standards; I actually thought I was in the Philippines! All in all, I usually stay in the Sukhumvit where hotels actually did offer better value and I can state that the high point of my stay at Prom Rachada was when I moved away, hopefully once and for all!

I complained and showed them pictures from housekeeping they didn't want to do anything they even laughed at me which got me angry.. they finally replaced new cover ... never going back

Noisy construction next to the hotel

All the rooms with special price were on the side of a construction next door that was very noisy during the day. I wish they mentioned it. I had to change my room after two nights by paying more. The hotel entrance is in a narrow ally with a lot of traffic. But it is behind a shopping center with Big C store which was great.

To be honest hotel not that bad. It's very near MRT about 10 min walk. Big C is just beside the hotel. 15 mintues walk away from rachada night market. However there's a contruction just beside the hotel. Early in the morning is very noisy. Gym room is a waste of time as there's only treadmill. Pool is clean. Breakfast still ok. Room cleanliness is very bad. Found out that my toilet room basin is choke. Need wait till morning for them to get plumber and get it done. They did not clean and wipe the mirror as there's some beard still stick at the mirror. Pay 50 thai baht for taxi service and their staff claim that its meter taxi. Taxi came late and they don't want to open metre. Might want to avoid using hotel taxi service.

Avoid taking taxi as Rachada has a very bad traffic. The train station is nearby. Staff can speak simple english but their service not that good. However their night guard done a good job. Explain what the DO and DON'T and he's very friendly. Need any help or tips, kindly apporach the night guard.

Free Wifi and connection is good. Avoid taking room number 307. As the bed is facing the window and you can hear the contruction noise loud and clear.

With this budget, overall still ok. You pay for what you get. Hopefully room cleanliness can improve

I have come here for my dental treatment and hospital is nearby which is handy. Hotel breakfast is very poor. It definitely requires improvement. I paid for room with breakfast but never went to eating breakfast. Big C extra shopping mall is so close and there are food court and also local restaurants are available around.

Rude security guard and poor pillow

The pillows were terrible, woke up with a really sore neck.
Also the security guard was extremely rude. I held the door for him and he snapped at me saying the door was automatic, which it wasn't. He thought I didn't understand Thai as I am not from Thailand. Left me thinking why work at a hotel if you are going to be rude to the guests. I was furious.

The salt water swimming pool was good although a little on the cool side, in November, because it gets very little sun. It sure helped get the aches out of your leg muscles after a days walk.

Big C is close so Hotel entrance gate is very busy

Not easy crossing from the gate to Big C when elderly, busy soy and as the hotel entrance is across from Big C car park the soy has no footpath and motorbikes dont indicate as this is Thailand they ride all around. It is fine if young and confident.

Really nice value for money hotel. Just booked one night intending to move on quite quickly but decided to stay put as it ticked all of our boxes. Very clean and well maintained with comfy beds. Nice pool, good breakfast, great staff, good location close to MRT and lots of eating options within easy walking distance. If we do come back to Bangkok, will definitely still there again.

Good - Location, walking distance to Thailand Cultural Centre MRT and Phra Ram 9 MRT where you will find many shopping centres and food outlets. The hotel is behind Big C and Homepro.
Good - Comfortable bed and clean room
Average - 9 types of breakfast sets to choose from.
Bad - Foul smell coming from the shower drain every time I start my shower. The smell will go away after my shower.
Bad - Taxi cannot find its way to the hotel. Maybe hotel can set up signage near main road and small lanes to direct taxi.

We wanted a cheap hotel for a two night stay in Bangkok we have previously stayed in the Landmark and Lebeu hotels both excellent so maybe my expectations are a bit high but

I arrived on Thursday the 29th of May & the temperature was 38 degrees, so a dip in the was just what I needed! I was disappointed to hear that the pool was closed for maintenance. Looking at the pool, it did not look like it had been in working order for a long time. When I checked out 4 days later, the weather situation had not changed (still very hot) & unfortunately the state of the pool had not changed either. Very disappointed, as I purposely chose a hotel with pool!

Booking with Expedia for 3 nights x 3 superior rooms x 2 single beds. Arrived hotel 6pm was told only standard rooms available for us as superior and deluxe rooms fully occupied. I am a regular customer in in Porm Ratchada Residence and Spa, and this time was no exception. Everything was very good from reception to the check out. The one thing about the room is that the floors are too cold and there are no sleepers available to where while you are in the room. Other then that everything is great, i would recommend it for a family stay as well as single.

Value for money!

Its location is both its boon and bane. In 4 days, not ONCE did a Taxi driver get there smoothly even though I gave them the map as provided by the hotel! Save yourself the extra cost of Taxi cruising around by just telling the driver to drop you at or near the \"Big C\" supermarket that is just a 3 minutes walk to the hotel, or, take the MRT trains to wherever you going to. As I had business meetings just 10 minutes from this hotel, its location in this sense was great. Hotel could try a little harder to provide toothbrushes and other toiletries. In room 501 that I stayed, the shower handle must have been installed for a 7 footer! lower it or make it height adjustable. However, water pressure was good and room clean. Breakfast not really worth the extra $3 as there are lots more available in the supermarket and surrounding areas, but it was clean and safe to eat, hence I will say I am neutral on it. Overall, for around $35, it is certainly value for money even if a tad outside the downtown action, which these days, is best kept at a distance until political turmoil calms down. And on this last point, with Thailand being a favourite holiday destination for my family and myself, I wish the country peace sooner than later as different factions battle for control.

Good service just that location is not strategic

Hotel is clean, new furniture and quite spacious. Equipped with small gym and pool. Front desk and security are friendly and helpful. Services and cleanliness is top.. Pity location abit far from pratunam.

Nice and Clean Hotel to Stay

This hotel is really good for like us whose on a budget. The room is super clean, well organized, close to the mall, and everybody is so nice. We had a very comfortable stay in this hotel, room attendants are so well organized that we always says wow every single day we return back to our room after all day out. That's all folks and you have to try it so you can prove it...

Great Location

The service was very pleasant, and helpful. Overall the bedroom was of good quality, very clean, the mattress and pillows a little bit hard for me and Internet connection wasn't that good (my room was totally at the opposite of the modem in the hotel). Swimming pool (salt water awesome) !! Gym is small but of good quality equipment and the one thing i didn't really like is that there is just a poor menu for breakfast but fortunately the hotel is located just behind a big shopping center with food court so you make your choice ;) Overall.... I'll definitely come back to this hotel if I have to come back to this area.

Not to bad but a little bit old

The location is good (behind the big C) and close from restaurants and other places for shopping. A MRT station is front of the Big C. But the pictures of the hotel do not reflect how the hotel is a little bit old even the swimming pool is nice and the rooms clean. The breakfast is cheap and OK and the staff nice. The biggest problem is the very low quality of the WIFI but some computers are available for free at the ground floor.
