We enjoyed our stay. Close to the mall, train and other attractions. The only thing that would have made it better would be if the pool water was warmer. Couldn’t even use it. Breakfast was good. Wish it was included. Items were good, but eggs were usually cold unless it was one taken right off the grill.

The bed is comfortable, the restroom is big, there is a kitchenette in our room and I particularly liked the Kohler and Grohe bathroom fixtures (it just makes a difference knowing that the hotel looks at these nice touches for an overall comfortable stay). I appreciate the washing machine in the unit. Although it’s loud and it takes a long time to wash. The location can’t be beat also. It’s near Big C and there is a mall that has a nice food court and Starbucks that is just 3-5 minute walking distance from the hotel (if you’re into those). For late night or early morning purchases of snacks or mineral water/drinks, there’s a 7-11 downstairs. We brought our small kids and the hotel is kid friendly. The staff in the reception even gave them stickers which, for me, is a delightful gesture. We did not get a booking with breakfast but no worries. There’s a breafast buffet in the lobby that just costs 400 Baht per person and kids eat for free. The food and coffee selection are just average though. If you’re up for a good breakfast or brunch, try exploring what BKK has to offer. If you’re pressed for time or can’t be bothered, then the breakfast in the lobby is ok.

Overall I enjoyed our BKK trip and our hotel stay made it extra special knowing that we would always come home from a grueling touristy, traffic experience in a comfortable, clean, good smelling and near excellent hotel.:)

Nice hotel just a bit noisy for me

Somerset is always good same great service just wish the rooms had double glazing windows as property is right next to a main road
And the water in the rooms is far too hot scalding hot some attention to this is needed as it’s far above the temperature that’s required if you accidentally shower and don’t realise how hot you can get scalded apart from these points it’s a typical good quality somerset

Very poor management at reception with very limited sitting & dirty sofas & overall experience was not good. Rooms are fine but breakfast area again not clean & hygienic including food served was not up to the mark with poor hygiene causing upset stomach. Overall left a bad taste.

This place is amazing very convenient and so comfortable, All the staff were very helpful from the front door staff opening car door for me every time I arrived and help with food information also the room were clean and every day it’s clean I’m really happy that I decided to stay here at Somerset Rama 9 everything was perfect for our family trip well stay again our next trip also having 7/11 on the first floor was so convenient and it’s open 24hr and the hot pot restaurant was also really good.

Nice hotel. 10 minutes walking distance to sky train. The kitchenette was excellent. We used the washing machine which was a great help. Almost had to use taxi for most destinations for convenience. Good size mall is within 5 minutes walking distance. For sure value exceeds the paid price. Location, even though is in a nice clean area, requires commute of 30 minutes or more to major attractions.

I was arranged to a smoking room( even though they claim it was a non-smoking room) also the room has lots of ants ... they came into my luggage. ( i sent video to the manager ) she didnt offer to wave a night's payment or anything.

Only minor complaints one is Bathing towels need attention I once a while use that quality of towels to wash my car. Couple of things hallway needs air circulation also it’s very hot inside the elevator. Mathew was very good in arranging our trip. We appreciate that.

The room was great, service was also good. However, i discovered a peephole that allowed people from a seevice stairwell to be able to glance into my room to a certain extent. Good thing is, the moment i reported it to reception, they got someone to fix it before i return to the room. Happy that they were prompt about it, but I was still pretty alarmed about the peephole.

The experience of staying this service apartment is comforting, grand lobby with polite and helpful staffs, very closed to central rama 9 shopping mall and fair night market ,we stayed at 2 bedrooms apartment with friends in the highest level first 6 nights , no sound heard from jodd fair night market, the last night we changed to 1bedroom premier type with my hubby at the lower level, disturbing noise was clear from night market, the bathtub leaking , hot water is not unlimited, specifically choose bathtub room type for our last night, but can’t use it, lift wait long time when morning peak period, almost a half hour, swimming pool protected from the sun through the trip

The guys at the lobby where the best, they were very helpful giving us the best tips to get around BKK. My daughter arrived with a sprained ankle and one of the boys readily took out the first aid kit and offered whatever we would need from it. 3 days after my daughter could walk well and we went to Bali surfing afterwards. We were so scared we would have to cancel the surfing.

1. Was unable to connect to the wifi throughout the day, every single day of our stay - had to call front desk multiple times to get the internet reset and working.
2. Our 2 bedroom suite wrenched of a very foul smell, cleaners came to try to clean but did but the smell remained. This is unacceptable for a premier room type.
3. AC in room was not working properly. Again, for an upper level room type this is also unacceptable
4. Elevators did not have AC and ventilation. For a hotel that was packed with people, standing in an elevator packed with people with no AC does not seem accommodating and focused on guest experience

It was nice to get upgraded for my first room’s air conditioning problem. They sent me a birthday cake which I did really appreciate. However, there were no air conditioning both in elevators and hallways. A night when I asked for help to go back to the hotel , I was not being help at all from the front deck . Overall, I wasn’t very happy with my stay.

Overall a pretty good stay. Staff was friendly and room was clean & tidy. Fairly good location just 5 mins away from a huge mall and plenty of food options. There's also a 7-11 next to the lobby, but do note it's not open 24hrs. My only complaint would be the breakfast, which was cold and subpar.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön und geräumig, auch beim Pool gab es nichts zu beanstanden. Jedoch dass Frühstück war schrecklich, angefangen beim Kaffee über die Eierstation bis hin zum Brot. Wir haben eine 14 tägige Rundreise durch Thailand unternommen und waren auch in 2 Sterne Hotels aber überall hatten wir ein geschmackvolleres und besseres Frühstück.

The property is great. Rooms are extremely clean, comfortable and nicely designed. Bed and sheets are top quality. Breakfast is very good. I was extremely sick during my stay and the hotel allowed me to check out late before my flight, which was appreciated. Perhaps not the best location in Bangkok, but the quality of the property and service make up for it.

It lists free breakfast on the the expedia website and even in the confirmation it lists free breakfast. When I checked in, they told me breakfast was not included and would be an additional 450 baht. I showed them the Expedia confirmation and they said that it was not included on theirs. I contacted Expedia, who in turn contacted the hotel. The hotel told expedia they don't serve breakfast anymore, which was a lie. Expedia gave me a $50 credit, which was excellent by them. The hotel was really nice, and staff were nice. Stay would have been perfect if it wasn't for the shady business on the breakfast part.

The hotel room is newly renovated. It is spacious and clean. The finishing is not 5 star but the staff and service are 5 star. It is very value for money as the hotel includes breakfast which has a good spread of buffet. It is also near to Jodd Fairs and shopping centres.

The room I booked was ‘ twin beds and a king bed’ but only ‘ twin beds with a added bed’ was provided. Wrong description shown in website, but the staffs said they can do nothing to help us. The Wi-Fi is sucked, the staffs are helpless again for the Wi-Fi connection. This is the most unpleasant experience to me lived in Thailand. It doesn’t worth the price.

Somerset Rama 9 is situated near to subway and strategically located close to many mega malls. The hotel staff are very friendly and patient with our requests. The amenities within the hotel, such as gym and lounges are easily accessible and clean. Hotel rooms are very well maintained and everything is well provided! Had a good time!
