Breakfast quite good.

Room temperature was the biggest problem: temperature could not be controlled and it was far too hot (28.5° C). Receptionist said they could not change it, but we could open the door to outside to cool off.

Fortunately, it was cool outside, and the room temperature did come down with an open door for the outside, but one should not have to do that!

Dinner in the Hotels restaurant was surprisingly good.

Getting to it at night was surprisingly difficult, as Google, Waze, and Apple Maps all had the wrong location and without lights on the Hotel advertising it, it was challenging to find.

Our room had a gorgeous view, Space around the bed was very limited. The electric plugs were not well situated or were loose in the wall. The hairdryer was unusable due to curly cable which had to be plugged in low down and then did not reach to be able to see a mirror or even sit comfortably to use it. The breakfast had a wide choice of food, but the evening meal menu was just altered once a week and limited.

Unbelievable Adriatic View

This high end hotel has no unnecessary decorations. The simple interior design consisting of aluminum, marble (the real one), and mirrors let the 180 degree view of the Adriatic Sea speak for itself. The breakfast service was excellent, and all receptionists (except for one grumpy guy) were kind, pleasant, helpful and friendly. My wife and I enjoyed evening swimming in the Adriatic Sea after my business was over. A surreal and beautiful experience we have had.

This property was very nice and clean and the view was amazing. But if you are just in Trieste overnight to catch a cruise you would be better staying in Trieste as this place is 20-30 minutes away from cruise port. Also the train drop off is a 20 minute walk down steep hill and stairs to get to hotel. There were no cabs in sight. The bus stop is a 10 minute walk away. A cab to terminal costs about 30 euros. We were there on the off season in October and all local restaurants in area were closed for the season and there was nowhere to eat but the restaurant at hotel. Also, no vending machines or market nearby to grab water/snacks. The only option for water was the minibar in our room. There is a beautiful boardwalk along shoreline across the street from hotel, but it is a good 15-20 minute walk before you get to anywhere.

The property was OK. The biggest drawback for us was not being able to adjust the room temperature. It was nice being on the ocean. The restaurant was good. That was probably the best part of the hotel. If you are driving parking can be a bit of a bear.

Just need a new coffee machine!

Very pleasant, no complaint re staff or the room.

One thing: they really need a new/better coffee machine for the breakfast.

The staff will bring a good cappuccino or espresso from the kitchen but the 'americano' from the machine (when working) is plain terrible, and the water from the machine for tea-making comes out with a brown tinge (hopefully that's traces of coffee)

Overall I would happily stay again, but would be very pleased if they had a great new coffee machine, or just barista coffee/pots of coffee and freshly boiled water all round

Superb staff extremely helpful before I arrived, nothing was to much trouble. Hotel is immaculate all rooms have seaviews over Adriactic sea, 10 min bus ride from town centre bus tickets available from hotel and a mere 200mtr walk to bus stop. Restaurant food was superb and reasonably priced. Please note there are no irons in hotel but do offer a off site laundry and ironing service.

We only got to stay one night but we wished we could have been there longer. It’s a cute quaint hotel that is nicely kept and staff is super nice. Checkin/checkout was easy and they even called a taxi for us. The hotel is right by the water and the Castello del Miramare is with in an 15 min walk. Would definitely recommend and at least more than one night.

Hotel overlooking water, poor customer service

Location is a bit off from the main downtown area, but if you have a car they have onsite parking. All the rooms are overlooking the water. Breakfast buffet was good. However we were not given the room we booked online, and not even informed of this when checking in by the hotel staff. Only when we got to the room we realized it was a cheaper room than we booked, and when we went to complain they said it was the only room available. Poor customer service.

The hotel is wonderful but location can be difficult to find using GPS…best to follow street signs to the Castello Miramare and the hotel will be on your right as soon as you leave the main road. There’s an elevator from street level which saves lifting suitcases up main stairs and all rooms face the seafront and have spectacular views across the bay. The rooms have terraces and are well-appointed, altogether a great place to stay if you’re traveling by car because parking space is available - difficult to find in downtown Trieste.

The Hotel is located just some minutes outside the city of Trieste and near the castle of Miramare (15min. walk) and just footsteps from the beach - ideal to visit all local attractions nearby. Bus Station is also just some footsteps away and parking is also available.
The property is up to date and the service very friendly. See view is amazing!

The hotel is very good in a great location
On the second night of our stay in front of the hotel, there were two BMW car mothers, glass and broken electronics broken. Probably an attempt to steal. We luckily went through, our car (also BMW) did not touch. The waitress told us that Trieste often steals BMW and Mercedes.
Probably the next time I go to a smaller settlement a little further away from the city

Cheap, shaky materials used throughout in the bed. Only one set of towels were provided. Balcony and the chair outside was dirty. Breakfast selection was terrible. Nutella and bread were the only edible options, and the omelette I ordered came plain cold. How can a hotel in an olive rich country not even provide olives during breakfast?

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. The view from our room/balcony was amazing, and the hotel itself was situated right in front of the beach, which was perfect for us. The room was relaxing to come back to, as it was well air conditioned and the layout made it feel spacious. The buffet breakfast was of a good standard. This is a great hotel to stay if you want to be at a more quiet, beachy location that is not right in the middle of the city.

Amazing views, great location and a great place to select off the busy city(Trieste). It was a quick drive in for us, so if you don't have a car you have may have to rely on alternate means. It's right my the Miramare castle just a 15 min walk. We did have trouble looking for parking spots. We asked the front desk, it was basically park wherever on the streets as far as you aren't blocking anyone in and to leave a hotel guest note on the windshield

Great location just north of the City of Trieste on the ocean front! A short bus ride into the town is easy and a beautiful scenic ride along the waterfront.......the historic castle is a short walk to the north along the waterfront. The area is short of good restaurants so we went to the city.
The staff were extremely helpful when our reservation dates got mixed up. You can swim and sunbath just on the waterfront from the rocks.....no real beach.....and the water is cold and refreshing.

These guys really take running a hotel seriously. My stay was wonderful, with the friendly professional check in, the fabulous fish for dinner, the chill out in the jucuzzi in my room with a view, and the great buffet and cappucino breakfast. Looking forward to returning in the Summer. Thanks guys.

A very good hotel with a great view

The hotel is located opposite the sea so there is a great view. Accessing the hotel involves climbing several steep steps which is not convenient when you are carrying heavy luggage. I am not sure how disabled people are supposed to access the hotel as I couldn’t see a ramp.

The room was very comfortable and clean with good space for clothes. The bathroom was cold and does not seem to have any heating. Also, the shower is not in a cubicle so the water tends to go all over the floor which is not convenient.

The restaurant serves very nice dinner, in particular the desserts are excellent.

The breakfast buffet is good but not much hot food.

All-in-all, a very nice place to stay.

Excellent location on the water. Super clean and great staff. Very extensive breakfast, including eggs/omelets made to order. Easy bus connection with downtown Trieste, tickets at reception.
Nice restaurant inside hotel and a few restaurants not far away. 500 meters from Miramare Castle, a popular tourist destination, so traffic can be a little busy during the day. Super nice place to stay!!!! Highly recommend it!

gutes Frühstück, auch wenn die Auswahl nicht so groß war. Kaffee ein Traum.
Die Aussicht vom Balkon sehr schön.
Im Zimmer war es leider sehr kalt, weil die Heizung noch nicht an war, aber draußen Anfang Oktober bereits richtig abgekühlt. Wir haben gefroren.
Für ein paar Nächte ist es OK.

Das Hotel ist sehr ordentlich und sauber. Parkplatz ist unter Videoüberwachung und vor dem Haus.
Nachteil und sehr überraschend war, dass kein Wasserkocher mit Tee und Kaffee im Zimmer ist. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist jedoch ca. 8-9 Kilometer vom Zentrum entfernt.

Anstelle des gebuchten Zimmers mit Balkon erhielten wir ein Zimmer mit Terasse. Ob es daran lag, dass das Zimmer nach Kanalisation stank und dies von dem ersten und eigentlich Buchenden vermutlich bereits beanstandet wurde. Ich nehme es an. So hatte ich mich also mit einem billigeren, stinkenden Zimmer abzufinden. Immerhin war das Frühstück sehr gut und auch der Service dabei sehr freundlich. Es wäre wünschenswert, dass expedia eine klare Vorgabe an die gelisteten Hotels ausgibt, auch die tatsächlich gebuchten Zimmer zu vergeben, so dass man auch bei später Anreise nicht nur noch den verbliebenen, von anderen Gästen abgelehnten „Rest“ zu akzeptieren hat.

Sehr freundliches Personal (vor allem beim Frühstück) und gut gelegen. Insgesamt war es sauber, wobei ich zwei, drei Haare im Badezimmer gefunden habe.
Frühstück war sehr lecker, es gab frischen Cappuccino und die Bedienung war überaus freundlich.

Leider waren die Zimmer sehr kalt und auf Nachfrage bzgl. Heizen hieß es, die Stadt müsse die Heizung erst noch genehmigen oder so ähnlich – das sollte kein Problem der Gäste sein bzw. sollten dann nachts bei fast einstelligen Graden zumindest eine Alternative angeboten werden (z.B. elektrische Heizkörper). Wir haben so sehr gefroren, dass wir mit Wollsocken, Jogginghosen und Kapuzenpullis schlafen mussten. Das Bett war leider auch etwas sehr durchgelegen.

Für ein Vier-Sterne-Hotel (zumindest lt. Google) fand ich die Einrichtung außerdem sehr karg. Ich denke, das Hotel ist im Sommer schön und angenehm, vor allem mit dem privaten Badebereich. Aber in der kühleren Zeut würde ich leider davon abraten.
