Older but clean and changes obviously made to improve. Comfortable bed. Clean rooms. Very nice view, lots of wildlife to see so bring binoculars !!. Very helpful and friendly staff. Did not try the breakfeasts. Not much left after previous guests. Normally eggs, bacon, waffles usual breakfeast. Small fridge , microwave in room. Tiny coffee pot. Close buy to grocery stores and restaraunts.

First I would like to say that the staff were amazing and the only reason I gave it two stars. They were very friendly and personable and we have no complaints when it comes to them. The breakfast was also nice, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy and the usual waffle maker. The hotel itself though…we were first put in a room that felt like we were in a basement, dark with only a small third of a window at the very top of one wall. We asked if we could be moved across the hall and they gladly did and that room was better. A sliding door with a very pretty view of the bay and a balcony. The room was filthy though. In the bathroom there was a used washcloth and shampoo bottle on the shelf from I’m assuming the previous person who stayed there. The tub and walls were covered in black hair and blue dots that I’m assuming was the shampoo maybe? I had to scrub the bathtub and then put a towel down to stand on before I was comfortable showering. The beds had something red spilled on them and the floors definitely weren’t vacuumed. We would not stay here again due to the cleaning issues but again, we did enjoy the staff.

Upon arrival front desk was just OK...then I was made to read 5 pages of things I had to do or pay for it...in other words if I did not report broken items in the room it could be my responsibility for it's repair etc. 5 pages as it went on and on. Got my keys, went to the room...won't open door, back to desk, redo keys, won't open door...mind you, I am 80 and they put us in their satellite section because we have a dog...down two flights of stairs to the depth of this building...one window so high you could not see out of it....back to front desk...maintenance man there now...helps with key and goes back down stairs to make sure it works, thank you...during all this not once does anyone say sorry .nothing...almost like it's my problem. This morning notice leg broke off chair and wire frayed at plug in for hair dryer so it does not work...back up stairs to report these conditions so I do not get stuck paying for them..I was told I checked that room just before you came and all was fine...in other words I was not telling the truth about hair dryer..unreal! Manager has a terrible attitude with zero customer service skills. I have stayed before at this location and have always enjoyed my stay but new management has changed all that. Room was clean, although carpet was frayed. This place needs good management to be a success again...oh by the way, be aware they ding your credit card for $250.00 if you have a dog...probably needed but be aware. I won't be back

We could hear everything going on and the first night our neighbors were up late going outside frequently and slammed their bathroom and entry door a lot. I could hear everything they were saying in their room as well. Breakfast was goid. Trash was not picked up outside the secondary building so it was all over by the front door.

I’ve stayed here once a year for about 9 years. It’s “ok” at best. They have nearly doubled their prices this year. Room looks fairly clean but the dead bugs and cob webs on the window sill, and sticky tv remote say that the attention to detail is lacking. There are better options in the area.

The first thing I noticed upon entering the hallway from the parking lot was that the exterior door was broken, leaving it unlocked all night long. That, and a guy sitting in his car right outside that door for a few hours gave me chills. But I forgot all that once I walked into my room! What a NICE room! 2 beds just for me. My pet peeve of TV's that don't swivel was instantly relieved when I found theirs DO swivel. Very clean room, nice bathroom, 2 sinks, balcony with a view of the inlet, and very quiet room. My only \"complaint\" was their breakfast system. They have a huge dining room, but all the tables are covered with sheets. They make you either come down and pick up your breakfast OR have it delivered to your room. Pretty cheesy. And the biscuits and gravy were full biscuits, not cut in half like 90% of places that serve this. You don't put whole biscuits in and cover them with gravy, you cut ONE in half then cover them. My room had the most comfy pillows I've ever used in years!!! Nice adjustable shower head with plenty of water pressure! The elevator was an added bonus! I'll definitely stay here again! Nicest hotel I've stayed at in Kitsap County so far! A better TV remote would be a nice touch, the one I got had maybe 10 buttons. All the staff seemed pretty friendly. Yes, I would recommend this place to anyone! You can't see your car from your room, but if you can deal with that, you're fine.

What would make the stay perfect is dining options vs just delivery or pickup for breakfast, even though that's fine in itself. Also, if possible, adding a pool for the kids for more enjoyable activities.

The Good: the room was clean and nice view from balcony. The OK: Breakfast was delivered hot, however, there was no knife and bagel didn't come toasted. Bedding was newer, but pillows were awful, bring your own. The Bad: first time running water and brown water came running from the sink. I gave it time and it cleared up, old building and rusty pipes... this I could get over, but not having hot water for a shower..unacceptable. water would get barely like warm, then turn cold. Tried to give it time and still luke warm. I didn't get to shower all weekend. I also letthe front desk know the chair in our room was broken when we turned in our breakfast voucher an hour after checking in and it was never fixed/replaced during our stay.

We checked in about 1230 am. First room was on the 1st floor. Getting off the elevator we were hit with the smell of the hallway. It smelt like the pound. The room had ants everywhere. The receptionist was kind enough to give us another room on the second floor. The hallway smelt much better and the room was ok for the most part.
The next morning we went down about 6:45-7am to get our \"free breakfast\" and were told that in order to get breakfast we had to have filled out a menu by 10pm the night before. We weren't able to check in until after midnight. I informed the hotel of this prior. I explained to the day shift receptionist we were not told anything about filling out a menu at that time nor when we checked in even though I asked what time breakfast was and was told 5:30-9. The day shift receptionist didn't care nor did she even offer so much as an orange or apple to us. She just said \"sorry\". She could have said \"sorry, I can't offer you any hot food but we do have pre packaged items.\" The guest guide in the room doesn't mention anything about having to fill out a menu either. It just simply states when breakfast is.
We filled out a menu for the next day and there were definitely items on there that she could have offered such as: yogurt, prepackaged danish, orange, apple, banana, and juice.
Also, toilet didn't want to flush completely. The cleaning person handed me a plunger to fix myself.
Overall, I was not impressed with this property and won't be returning.

The positives: The man at check-in was great, the room was clean and everything worked as it should have, the view was nice, and parking was easy. The breakfast is great! They provide you with a room service style slip of paper and you complete it before 10pm each night, then you can either dine in, pick-up, or have your selections delivered in the morning. The fritatta and biscuits and gravy were great.

The negatives: We received absolutely no housekeeping service, which was so odd as when we left our room, the room next to us was being done. It's like the housekeeper just totally skipped over us and forgot about our room. The other huge negative is there doesn't seem to be any security roaming the hotel. We had people knock on our door at 4am and then run away, there rooms around us were blaring their tv's, people were shouting at each other loudly, which could be heard in our room and we could hear toilet flushing all through the night.

The location was great and the view to the water from the balcony was good. Our balcony had pipes going to the water but was not a huge deal. We had our breakfast delivered to our room as we were leaving early and had arrived late so we only asked for things easy to take - bagel, snail horn, etc. The pastries were like what you would buy from a quick shop, small sealed plastic wrapping, and tea was just a tea bag. Again, we were there for a short time and it was nice to have something delivered but was not exactly what we expected.

One of the people had car problems and did not get to the hotel until early morning and when he went to check in, they told him his reservation had been cancelled after 3am and would not let him check in, even tho the room was already prepaid for both nights. So he had to sleep in his car, but was able to talk to the manager the next day and get his room for saturday night. His room was prepaid for both nights so it should not have mattered what time her got there. We asked for refund for friday, but were told we would have to deal with expedia, since that is who we booked thru. What can be done, if anything?

Fire alarm went off at 2:30 am. There wasn’t anyone to confirm if indeed there was a fire or not. Nobody at the front desk knew anything the next day. No apology for disturbance.
I was unable to enter my room at the end of each day without ending up at the front desk to have them rekey my room card.
There were no instructions on getting breakfast. You have to order it the day before. When I checked in I ordered for the next day but then I didn’t get back to the hotel until after the deadline to offer for the following day which means I missed breakfast. I didn’t know if housekeeping would put order form in room but you had to request an order form from front desk each day instead of giving you one for each day of your stay at check in.
Housekeeping came the first day and took garbage and replaced towels but didn’t make the bed which was odd and they disposed of my dogs travel bowls for their food and water.
