Fantastic location in the heart of Sanur, surrounded by great Warung's, cafes and shops. Close to the beach, but when you have the exceptional pool bar team there really isn't any need to leave the hotel pool the cocktails are the best in Sanur and the food is fantastic! Beautiful grounds and amazing staff, Swastika Bungalows is wonderful.

Just got back from a weeks stay at the swastika hotel and I would go straight back again. It is spotlessly clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. The gardens are beautiful and there are 3 pools.We had a superior room with an open air shower, which was amazing. Breakfast was good and the location is perfect. 5 - 10 minute walk to the beach (depending on how fast you walk) 15 - 20 to the Icon shopping mall. There are shops, restaurants and bars on your doorstep and the hotel food and drink is reasonably priced and good.
Honestly don't hesitate just book it.

Great staff, very helpful and lovely. Room was modern, with Balinese features and always spotless. Food was varied and delicious at lunch and dinner as well as breakfast. Pools were all nice and well maintained. Spa services were varied and enjoyable. Facilities had been upgraded since our last visit. A beautiful oasis near all Sanur shops and restaurants at a good price. Will be back-again!

No curtains on the windows for privacy.
We travelled together and were supposed to have adjoining rooms, all arranged and viewed 3 months ago, but were placed far apart which was frustrating and inconvenient. The reason given for the change didn’t make sense.
There was a large very noisy group of friends staying there and congregated on the terrace next to one of our rooms, starting their racket early in the morning and continuing through to late at night and no one censured them or asked them to move to the lobby where they wouldn’t have caused such disturbance.
My daughter had to shift from her first room because the bathroom was sub standard, and then again from that room so she could get some sleep, ending up in an upgraded room far away from mine.
I’m sure I paid for a better standard of room than we were allowed.
The staff are lovely and so helpful, the gardens are beautiful and the location is excellent, the beds were comfortable but the pillows were not.

After searching different hotels, booking, cancelling a few, we ended with Swastika. To our surprise it’s a beautiful peaceful property without the noise of Sanur traffic. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Room is spacious and comfortable. We gave a 4 rating for cleanliness because we saw a cockroach crawling across the room 😝. Cook to order breakfast is delicious. Menu changes daily. The pools were great with good temperature.

We stayed here as a family over christmas and it was wonderful. The property is beautiful, 3 different pools, amazing buffet breakfast. All staff were very friendly, always stopping to say hello. Rooms were immaculate with excellent housekeeping each day. On Christmas Eve we came back to our room to find little gifts left for each of us and on christmas morning staff walked around at breakfast with baskets of wrapped gifts for the children, such a beautiful touch which we were not expecting! The beach is a short distance away and lots of restaurants and shops just outside the resort. Definitely recommend!

Perfect for a relaxing getaway except for wifi

Amazing family feel service, well kept pools and grounds, generous breakfast. Unfort the poor wifi in rooms really lets the place down, there are plenty of routers around but they are old and not well placed to get into the rooms. Also kids dont get pillows, so i slept on towels. Some small tweaks gives this a 10/10.

Very good value. The pool was way too hot to be refreshing but the guests seemed to love it. Very generous breakfast included is worth it. I had an upstairs room which had steep stairs to it which could be an issue if you had mobility issues. Lovely generous deck is the upside!

I stayed here after staying at Oyana in Uluwatu. For close to $100 a night I didn’t think that it was value for money. The room was dirty and the sheets were stained and the interior was very clinical and smelt musty. Staff were okay but some were not as friendly as other places we have stayed.

The room we rented stank. There was a strong smell of mould. Complained we were put in another room that was not the deluxe room we had paid for. The next day we were put into a better room. We asked for a revised room charge as we did not get the room we paid for. Was told no, room was booked thru expidia so they could not discount the room charges.

Overall the hotel was pretty good but my bathroom with open ceiling was quite ridiculous. You can totally hear what your neighbors are doing in their bathroom. Plus you should smile when you do your business and a drone is flying over the complex ;)

Please update razors supplied as they really are dreadful or dont bother. Luckily brought my own but tried them and truely the worst ive ever come across unless you like shaving with a blunt razor. Larger Tea/Coffee cups would be a good idea. Nitpicking.

Otherwise cant fault this hotel. Made our stay truely relaxing. Thankyou to all the wonderful staff.

Over all the swastika is great. I've stayed there 4 times. Basic rooms are a bit old but very clean.with good air cond. The deluxe rooms are excellent . Staff are great, the restaurant food is very good and cheap. The gardens and pools are really nice too. Location is really good and its very quiet. Its very good value .

We love the huge deluxe rooms: good choices are room numbers 47, 49, 51 and 53 for ground floor. King bed or 2 x king singles, comfy mattresses and pillows. AC works great and TV has HBO channels. Wifi in the room and restaurant was working ok. There are 3 x pools, gorgeous balinese gardens, friendly staff and buffet breakfast with an elevator to get you up to the restaurant. Thgere is a Salon on site with great prices, need to make a booking. The outdoor dining set up for dinner on the grass near the pool is excellent ... 75,000rp for pork ribs. The buffet breakfast needs a few tweaks like : fruit that is actually ripe and decent coffee, otherwise has enough choices which some change each day on the menu. Only a 5 min walk to the beach, ATM next door, and 3 min walk to big supermarket. Forketta restaurant is a couple of doors down and serves excellent Italian food.

Really liked the location and comfort at this hotel. Walking distance from the beach. Lots of food and drink options onrhe high street. The hotel has 3 pools, one with a swim up bar. You can add everything to your room and pay at the end. The spa inside the hotel is really good though you need to book a day in advance and they only take cash. This hotel is great for all types of travellers from solo like myself, couple and familys.

Staff were very helpful except one evening manager who refused to give us a dry towel.
Friends towel had got very wet in the shower ( no shower curtain) and asked for a fresh towel.
Female on desk refused despite gentleman working alongside her saying they could do it.

Extremely well-maintained grounds/gardens. Excellent outside control of mosquitos, seemingly naturally with zappers every day at dusk. Mosquito plug ins in room. Lovely staff.
Breakfast was basic.
No safe in room, but you can use the one at front desk.
Rooms a bit dated, bathroom & towels a bit old but overall clean. Only one towel given per room, no hand towel, face washers etc.
Excellent value resort. Will stay again. Thank you!

We stayed here twice last year, were very happy with the position, value and staff. We recommended Swastika to quite a few friends, one couple (from the UK) and a family of 3 actually booking and also happy. We returned this year, this time for three weeks and were again quite pleased with the value. As we were flying out late at night I asked for a late check out the week prior to our departure ( they were not busy). This was swiftly okayed and not wanting to overdo the opportunity we actually checked out about 5pm. Most surprised and upset to receive a bill for the extra time in the room. I have never been billed for a late check out ( almost 2million miles of travel to 288 cities). It was not the account value just the principle. Why would we return, or our friends etc, to a hotel where your loyalty is not appreciated.

Standard rooms were in dire need of a remodel - bathroom tiles were cracked & mouldy, mirror was blackened, Linens (hopefully clean) were stained. We were charged a significant fee for air conditioning (that your site said was not available). Beware of booking a 'private car' to the airport offered by the hotel - a taxi was much less expensive.
Breakfast was substantial.

My favourite hotel in Bali

I always stay at Swastika as its clean comfortable & the staff are so friendly & helpful. the 3 pools are cleaned daily with plenty of day beds to rest on.Buffet breakfast has plenty to choose from & the new breakfast room with a lift is beautiful. The girls at the spa are great
with massages, pedicures, manicures, hair washing etc & not expensive. The reception people are amazing always remember you & what room you are in & so helpful.Swastika is close to shopping resturants & the beach.My favourite place in Bali.

My 6th trip to Bali and this time I booked this hotel from bookings.com and there is no way the rooms look like they are on the website. My front door was two pieces of wood and to lock it you stuck another bit of wood through the slot in the back of the door. The worst part was the 1 inch gap around the door that you could see straight through. I was stuck right down the back and didn't feel safe at all. The sheets were a dirty grey colour not to mention the curtains that didn't close properly so anyone that walked past could see straight in the room. I checked back out with in the hour. Sorry but this is a 1 star. Not even 3.

Building is bit old but very very clean room.
Very happy with big room and bathtub and spacious balcony.
Staff are very warm, nice and professional.
My bed sheet was changed everyday to clean one, and I found different towel art everyday on new bed, very impressed.
Always replaced plenty of toilet rolls and shower gels, thanks to staff.
Plus if you are lucky you could meet cute cat family relaxing on your footpath.
Locating opposite sides of street to beach, 5 mins to walk to the beach from hotel.

Overall this hotel is a hidden gem to me and highly recommend.

Has 3 lovely pools, buffet style breakfast with a tasty range and eat by the pool. Had a large room with 3 extremely comfy and clean beds but located in a dark corner. Bathroom was fairly dismal and inI need of an upgrade, very old and a shower that drenched the entire bathroom as shower head moved and no shower curtain, although lots of very very hot water. Water bottles supplied daily.
Stayed for 7nights but would have probably left rear earlier if I hadn’t had previously booked. Staff were great and extremely accommodating.

Staff were good when booking in. It’s a little old and could do with a bit of a paint. Wifi’s doesn’t work in room if you are out the back. You have to go outside. Breakfast area is good if you can get a table outside otherwise it’s like you are eating in a dungeon. It’s a nice quiet place It’s close to shops. Beach is about a ten minute walk. I won’t be staying there again only because I’m not going back to Sanur
