Yoost and other reception staff were very accommodating. The hotel was well maintained. Older style hotel rooms however very comfortable with great Aircon. Room was cleaned and serviced with water, toothbrushes and new towels daily. Great location and very quiet considering it’s located on a busy road. Suitable for all travelers best for solo or holidaying on a budget.

We stayed in 5 different hotels during our vacation to Singapore and Bali, and this one was our favorite! The cottages are super cute and spacious, the staff is very friendly and attentive, this place had the best complimentary breakfast, and it is a nice quite place.

A bit of an odd place to be honest. Very \"Jakarta arisan social set on holidays in bali\" in style...
Everything painted white and neutralised, it all felt very \"halal and clean\" but like it was missing some former soul or something. Our room was ok, breakfast but certainly no bacon and no decent coffee, which are minimum expectations for a hotel in bali. The new affiliated coffee shop at the front of the building was a god send.

Great little hotel with lovely staff and in east walking distance. The on-site coffee shop serves really good coffee, and the breakfast mie and nasi goreng were as good as anywhere. Sanur is nice and chill compared to the south and west and the hotel is near to everything.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved the cottage style rooms. I wish I would have had more time. We choose it due to the proximity to the airport. From the street this is an unassuming place. But once inside it is an amazing sanctuary. It's beautiful and comes with a lot of history. I felt very welcomed here. Would 100 percent recommend this place.

if your looking for somewhere to stay for pure serenity and self pampering this is the place to be.

It was very quiet when I was there. Staff very friendly. Had the pool area to myself and it was super relaxing and tranquil. Loved the outdoor areas and the style of the bungalow which made walking through the grounds very zen like. It is a bit of a walk to beach and restaurants, but I liked walking. Some solo woman may not find it comfortable walking the dark streets behind hotel.

Low density, excellent garden environment. Low cost, nice staff. Overall impression of decor was of shabby chic retro Art Deco. Excelllent value.
Down sides.. long walk through unit alleys with piddles to town 10mins away. Just adequate breakfast in strange quirky deserted on site restaurant.
Overall great value achieved at expense of position in town.

The hotel is really unique. Don’t expect all of the amenities in your room. This place is best enjoyed by the pool and around the gardens. This is the kind of place you stay at to get away from it all. You can hang by the pool and relax while ordering tropical cocktails.

It was a classical, beautiful hotels with a lot of arts and garden. It was good just spend time in the garden. The room was simple and nice. They also offer good wifi and breakfast. The staff is nice and helpful. The was a male staff in the reception, always give us a big smile when he talked. Well done!!!

Oldie colonial feel with a French accent.

The hotel is small and intamit with fabulous gardens. The onsite restaurant was great for breekie and an evening meal. The walk to the Main Street would not suit everyone but the local cab ride was 3 to $5. Ladies may appreciate better lighting in the bathroom and a powerpoint but the rest of the room, aircon, bed, fridge, tea & coffee etc where adequate form an inexpensive hotel. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. The pool area is well maintained and very comfortable.

Outstanding, quirky, amazingly friendly staff

This small, individual, quirky, gem of a hotel was amazing. Definitely not your run of the mill anonymous hotel. I stayed in a villa, which was very clean, tastefully and individually furnished with collectables and antiques. Unique bath tub and walk in shower lined with stones, seperate toilet. There was a fridge, kettle, tea / coffee and a couple of bottles of water provided. Extras such as handy umbrellas were a nice touch. The grounds are beautiful with lots of seating areas, eg large open sided room, poolside cabanas. The pool was spotless, just like the rest of the hotel. All the staff were very friendly and attentive and couldn't do enough to make my stay enjoyable.
I used the laundry man just outside the entrance 15k per kilo and was happy with the results.
Highly recommended and would stay here again.

First of all , there was strong smell from washroom , unbearable!
There was an emergency situation that I had to go out in middle of the night .. but There is noooo light what so ever in the hallways or yard .. absolutely dark .. a huge lizard was in my room .. restaurant staff coughed all the time while serving that food !! My sheets does not look fresh at all ...

A Hidden Paradise

On arrival at 2 am in the morning on a busy main road, the gates were closed and we thought 'oh no what have we done?' The security guard gave us a key and led us through and behind the entrance was the most beautiful , quaint hotel. I fell in love instantly. The staff were excellent and accommodating, rooms cleaned every day, pool towels, clean towels daily, air con, 3 showers with HOT water, one outside on a small patio. The on,y thing I found wrong was no wardrobe space but then I took too many clothes and it may be different in another room as they were all different. It s not a normal hotel, all accommodation is separate, your own old Javanese hut/home bungalow.

After seeing the photos on the website was really looking forward to staying in a beautiful cottage BUT what i got was extremely disappointing in fact my cottage 803 was depressing, horrible old timber furniture. I asked to be moved which they did to cottage 806 was a bit better but the floorboards created at every step.
The grounds are lovely and at night the garden lights are beautiful.
The pool is fairly shallow, not deep at one end and no steps to access the pool for older people.
The resort is quite a long way from the beach but they do have a shuttle once a day. Apart from that there is nothing around the resort no shops or supermarket etc.
You have to walk the narow laneways to get to the beach, it would have been nice to have dinner near the beach at night and listen to music but being an older sole traveller i would not walk dark laneways with no lights at night.

Quaint Quiet and Friendly

Comfortable character filled Javanese Cottages set in a magnificence garden setting. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
While it is a 15 minute walk, or $2.50 taxi ride into the main street of Sanur, this we think is a good thing as we are away from it's noise and hectic pace.

This was our second visit, of 11 days and we will stay here again.

Great hotel at an affordable price

We stayed in Hotel Puri Tempo Doeloe for 4 nights recently. The hotel rooms were just fabulous. We stayed in a two bedroom suite with private pool. Every aspect of the room was great. Clean big private pool. Good kitchen. Two huge very comfortable beautifully decorated bedrooms. 2 Huge awesome bathrooms. Beautifully manicured gardens inside our villa as well as in the hotel.

The hotel was located a 10 mins walk away from the beach and its restaurants. There was also a good laundromat right outside the hotel which was useful for us on a long trip.

We only had the free buffet at the hotel restaurant but that was very good. Their tartines, scrambled eggs, pancakes etc. were great.

The service of the staff at the reception and the restaurant was also very courteous. Since we were staying for more than 3 nights, we got a complementary foot massage and a yoga session. We unfortunately could not utilise the free yoga session but the foot massage was also good. The reception staff also helped organise our trips etc.

Relaxing place to explore Sanur

The hotel was a comfortable place from which to explore Sanur. Not on the beachfront or main street but a 10-15 minute walk through the side streets to both giving you a feel for the area. It allowed us to discover some great little restaurants, even though there is a cafe/ restaurant on site. We hired bicycles from the hotel which was a great way to get around. A very nice pool to relax around and the grounds were well maintained and interesting. The staff were helpful and their English was adequate to organise our stay and arrange a driver when we needed. We would recommend it to families, couples young and older, provided you are ok to walk a bit.

We loved staying here, so much so that when our plane was delayed a day due to the volcanic ash, we immediately booked another night there, even though there were many hotels closer to the airport. Wonderful ambiance, great little restaurant, quiet, close to a main street with lots of shops and restaurants (10 minutes), and to Sanur beach (15 minutes). Would definitely go back again.

This bungalow/hotel far exceeded our expectations. Firstly, the grounds and pool area are immaculately manicured and the pool itself it clean and inviting. Our room, which was the most basic option, was incredible clean and stylish, a mix of traditional and antiques. All of the staff that we interacted with were lovely, including the restaurant staff. Lastly, the restaurant was excellent, the food was delicious!

Beautiful gardens and everything presented with care. The most comfortable bed and pillows Ive slept on in a hotel for many years. Bathroom was beautiful and I had a total of 3 showers to myself, including one in my very own outside courtyard adjoing my bathroom. 4 poster bed with netting, flat screen tv, excellent wifi, delicious breakfast and stunning restauant. The pool area is stunning. The staff were so kind and considerate and the owner will do anything to make your stay more enjoyable. Fabulous hotel.

unique heritage style hotel poor location

Because of the location we decided to check out the following day.
We were on holiday hoping to use Sanur beach area but the walk there was too far to be
A pleasant walk and the little lanes were confusing and had many stray dogs.
The taxi driver couldn't find his way back to the hotel. The noise of traffic and dogs kept us awake till early hours of morning.
The hotel itself was quite delightful if only its location were somewhere more pleasing.

The garden is very welll decorated. There are little details in every single place in the garden which made it really charming. The room is ok, bed is quite comfortable. Its good for value. Rooms are accent, and pillows and quilts are not very clean. at night, there will be mosquitos and geckos. Overall rating is NOT satisfied. Plus, the location is not convenient since it requires 15min walk to Sanur beach. Next time I will definitely not stay at this hotel. Better move to Nusa Dua.

Lovely relaxing cottages, great pool area - never too many people. Short walk to main street. Once you navigate your way through the back alleys once, it's a simple 10 min walk thereafter. We had a cottage suite which highly recommend for the balcony. The cottages require more indoor lighting than two lamps, however this is no reason not to stay here. Great relaxing stay. Lots of character rather than a sterile hotel.

Beautiful villa and garden. I like the decoration in the room very much. Also within walking distance to sanur beach. Compared to the crowded Kuta and ubud area, I would definitely recommend this one for a relaxing and quiet vacation.

Excellent séjour lors de notre venue à Puri Tempo Doeloe. La suite était spacieuse, literie impeccable et proche des commodités de Sanur. Nous avons eu peur au début de son emplacement car hôtel situé le long d'une route archi fréquentée, mais au final, une sortie par l'arrière de l'hôtel qui nous amène vers la plage et les restaurants, boutiques... Le personnel est très bienveillant, surtout Yoost qui fut à l'écoute. Si nous devions donner un point à améliorer, peut-être un petit rafraîchissement de certains espaces, vers la piscine à la pisicine.
Enfin, les repas étaient succulents, le petit-déjeuner est fait à la minute et copieux. Nous recommandons fortement :)

お盆やすみに5泊しました。ビーチはホテルから近道を教えてもらいますが結構な距離があります。レストランやショップ、ＡＴＭなどにも5～10分ほど歩きますが許容範囲かなと思います。ヴィラなのでとても静かで快適。バスルームが広すぎるほどでしたが熱がこもらずやはり快適。スタッフも敷地内のレストランもとてもフレンドリーで親切です。プール・スパ・レストランと何でも揃っています。徒歩圏での利便性のみ向上すれば完璧かなと思います。金庫はありません。ティッシュペーパーはありません。ドライヤーは借りれました。

素敵な滞在となりました。

滞在者が少なかったためか、ホテル内は非常に静かで、とても穏やかな時間を過ごせました。レストランで食事をオーダーしてプールサイドでのんびり食べたり、パラソルの下で風鈴の音色を聴きながら本を読んだりととにかく最高の滞在となりました。裏門から歩いて15分ほどで小さなお店が並んでいる通りに出ることができますので、そこでマッサージ(1時間800円)や、ショッピング(バッグ、ワンピース、雑貨)を楽しむこともできました。
