Our own slice of paradise

We stayed 15 nights here at Maharigi Villas. We had a three bedroom villa with private pool. I cannot fault the accommodation, service and overall way we were treated by the staff at the hotel - we had an absolutely fantastic stay. If I could give the staff 11 out of 10 I would!

Only slight draw back was the WiFi, but we had an eSIM anyway so this did not cause us any issues. But even with this, this stay was an easy 10/10. Would highly recommend.

We booked a pool villa room which was overpriced for the standard. It is too far from the main Sanur Beach area. We ordered room service on the first night and it was very poor quality. Our pool was very dirty and noisy and we had to get engineering to fix our toilet. I booked the complimentary massage for the last day and they mixed up my booking and offered to do it the day after we were checking out, on checking out I asked the reception to get the manager to contact me by email. I am still waiting

We absolutely loved the villas here. We were on our honeymoon, and when we arrived the bath was poured and filled with salts and petals, swan towels with petals and flowers decorated the bed, and there were candles in the bathroom. What a lovely arrival! Having the private pool is a decadence we are now addicted to; the pool area was amazing with a huge cabana and outdoor shower and toilet. The beds are very comfortable and the housekeeping staff keep the place immaculate, cleaning twice a day if you desire it. The butler is available 24/7 and offers free drop offs/pick up from the Sanur area - fabulous! All the staff are soooo friendly and welcoming, and the food is devine! Breakfasts are to die for which a huge range of food available, and the chef accommodated allergy requirements with ease. We totally recommend this property. If you can, book the private cooking class with Gusti - it's well worth it!

Really exclusive with very attentive staff. Nothing was a problem. It is small friendly, quiet and beautiful. The villas are absolutely private. They transport you everywhere and pick you up. They have their own area of beach with loungers, toilet and shower. You can have meals and drinks in your villa or in the restaurant. The food and drinks are good and competitively priced. The romantic candle light dinner for Two in your villa is not too be missed. We will be back next year.

The Mahagiri Villa resort was quite upscale with a beautiful and serene atmosphere. We were upgraded to a larger villa with pool and they locked the 1 bedroom that we didn't pay for. The villa was gorgeous and spacious. We stayed only 2 nights and enjoyed all meals at resort, enjoying several in our own villa. All meals were delicious and well priced. Staff were consistently gracious and attentive. We will definitely consider returning to this resort.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay at Mahagiri Villas, especially the people. Every staff member was lovely and so friendly. The waiters, drivers, cleaners, gardeners, massage therapists and reception all took great care of us making our stay just perfect. The resort grounds and our room were beautiful and felt very safe and clean with plenty of space. We loved our private pool! The food was amazing with a range of yummy breakfast options. We enjoyed the culture night at the restaurant with local food and dancing. The spa was beautiful and the treatments were so relaxing. It was great to have friendly drivers like Andre and Wayan available for free to take us wherever we wanted to go and give us recommendations about places to visit or eat. The location was good with a 10 min walk to the beach and restaurants but in a quieter area, close to the market. Our cooking lesson with Gusti was a highlight of our stay! We’ll never forget it.

Wow!! What an incredible villla! We arrived in sanur after 6 nights in Ubud. We were warmly welcomed with an ice cold drink and tapas, then taken to the villa which blew our minds. It was huge, spotlessly clean and the pool and outdoor area, including an outdoor shower, were incredible. The property and pool were cleaned ever day and the mini bar restocked. The all inclusive breakfast delivered to the vill was delicious and plentiful. We also ate at the restaurant, which was reasonably priced and the food & cocktails were amazing! The villa is exceptionally private and quiet, but a 10 min walk takes you to the beach, shops, restaurants and bars. We will stay here again if we’re ever lucky enough to return to Bali.

Mahagiri was one of the most excellent places I have stayed in the world. They will greet you with professionalism and with exceptional customer service. The villa is beautiful beyond words and the cleanliness was a plus. Not only is your villa amazing but the restaurant on-site has so many delicious options (please try the fish soup!) and Alex is beyond what you expect from a host in a restaurant. If you are able to eat dinner, be prepared to be serenaded by the guitarist/vocalist. I will only stay here for my future stays in Bali. 10/10!

Mahagiri is such a beautiful villa, so private, quiet, and clean, and it felt like a home away from home. The staff are friendly and welcoming and helpful when we have questions or queries. It is located on a beautiful little side street with many family-run restaurants and a quick walk to the beach. We were very impressed by the privacy and you can't hear the street noise at all. This is definitely a luxury villa!

If I could rate more than 5 would give it a 10. Very beautiful property. Huge Villas good for family or big group of friends. The hors d'oeuvre and welcome drinks are delicious. Breakfast is good too, we end up eating there for dinner as well the entire stay. Service is beyond exceptional and staff are super friendly and polite. The swimming pool in the Villas is a nice reward after a long day of going on tour. Highly recommended and would stay again if I ever comes back to Bali.

This place is perfect and the all the staff are very accommodating, polite and always goes above and beyond. I would give this place a 10/10 for all of there service. Their restaurant has good quality breakfast from Balinese food to western food. Their shuttle service will pick you up and drop you off around Sanur area. Front desk is open for 24 hours and they will provide whatever you need. During our stay i forgot to bring an adaptor and ask the reception if i can borrow some however they didn’t have one. They went out of their way buying an adaptor at 10pm at night and bring it to our Villa. Thank you so much Mahagiri villa for making our stay memorable and such a wonderful experience.

If I could rate this villa above 10 I would. Our stay at Mahagiri was beyond exceptional including staff, hospitality, cleanliness, morning breakfast, location, amenities, and the free transportation that the villa provides. With this being our first time in Bali, we were incredibly pleased with our stay. We stayed in the private pool villa which felt like paradise on its own. Every morning we were greeted with smiles from the staff of the hotel. You could choose to have your morning breakfast, which is included in your stay, brought to your room or you could dine at the Mahagiri restaurant, which again had exceptional hospitality.

Sanur is also located in the middle of Bali and so if you’re looking to tour the island, you can easily drive to the north, south, east, or west from here. It’s also very close to the Denpasar Airport.

Without a doubt, we will be returning and staying at Mahagiri Villas.

This is by far the best villa we have ever stayed in, our family of 6 spent a week at Mahagiri villas in a 3 bedroom villa and can’t speak highly enough of this place, absolutely 10 out of 10!!!... we would highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates what 5 star holidaying should be like. Only a short walk or hotel shuttle to the main part of Sanur with restaurants or the beach or shopping etc. the staff were completely helpful in every way and went well beyond to look after us , we were actually quite sad to reach the end of our stay as all of the staff made us feel like we were their most important guests in the villas, I seriously wish I could rate this place a 6 out of 5!!.... I would definitely consider this place in the future for another visit to Bali

The villa itself seemed like it had better days though, a lot of wear and tear, unfortunately I was given the furthest villa, close to the road so I often heard music, and looking up on just sees a large antenna of some sort.
WiFi didn't really work, they came out to try fix it, and it worked temporarily. But most of the stay not at all.
Food was really good.
I would stay again, but not in that villa, I think I got a dud on that one unfortunately.

Loved the location of the property walkable to everything however not all taxi drivers know the place so have google maps handy. We had a one bedroom with a pool. The whole property is beautifully maintained. The room is spacious with enough room for two people to move around with all their luggage and still not bump into each other. The room has both an outdoor and indoor bathroom. Our complaints were the cultural night where our room (108) was right next to the restaurant so after a day of sight seeing we were relaxing with our food and then the music came on and lasted for a while. So get a room away from the restaurant. The room service portions was a bit hit and miss. Though the brekkie in the morning was yummy and definitely worth indulging in

Amazing staff. Some of the most friendly, helpful genuinely nice staff at a hotel every. This villa has lots of amenities that keeps on surprising you.
The location is great too for wanting to see temples, beaches and other popular sites. Not a great location if your goal is to party, but if you like sight seeing and having a quieter not so busy town then this is great for you. The beach nearby has lots of restaurants and the resort provides a driver. We did not know this, and wished we utilized them for airport pick up and drop off instead of booking one from a 3rd party prior to arriving.
This resort provided roundtrip service whenever we went to the beach (10 min drive about). Very convenient. The villa was very clean and the food was 5 star quality (compared to most restaurants in Bali).
Oh, the villa is also a 5 min walk to the daily Sindhu Night market where you can get $2 usd meals. The walk is dark at night but never felt in danger. Use a flash light around the dark streets

The Mahagiri villa is an excellent get away for small or large family to enjoy. Their morning breakfast was provided with abundance and we were so full every morning. The dinner on Wednesday was wonderful along with traditional music and performance. Staffs were great and friendly. They were accommodating and always smiling. I just wish Bali doesn’t have so much mosquitos. I also wish the villa has more colorful flowers inside the living compound.

The villa we stayed in was filthy, cockroaches were crawling around. There were coconuts constantly falling in the pool and one of them hit me on the shoulder. This was not a luxury villa and is not worth the price you pay.

I can’t say enough about this resort, we absolutely loved our villa and stay at Mahagiri! You will never go hungry staying here as the food was incredible and the cocktails were delicious! The staff always had a smile on their face and were very helpful with rides around town and to the beach. You feel like you are in your own oasis, the villa was clean and the private pool made it even better. It was also quiet and only a 10 minute walk to all restaurants and shops.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mahagiri Villa’s. All the included extras were great.
We were initially a little concerned as the kids room was completely separate and we couldn’t hear them from our room- they are 2 and 7. However we hired a baby monitor which meant we could relax and the kids could let us know if they needed anything overnight.
The staff were lovely and the free shuttle was amazing.
The villa itself was away from the noise on the road and very private.

We were looking for a relaxing family holiday and that is absolutely what we got. It was amazing!! The staff were attentive and the meals were great. When you stay you must have the Seafood Experience. It was the best seafood and cooked to perfection. Once we arrived at Mahagiri Villas Sanur, it was exactly what we had hoped. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle, only a short walk to shops and restaurants and to the beach. We can't wait to go back.

We stayed at Mahagiri Villas in Sanur for our honeymoon for 4 nights. The staff is really welcoming and warm, from the security guard at the entrance of the hotel, personnel at the lobby, restaurant, porters, kitchen staff, housekeeping, drivers, etc. Everyone is so attentive :) We loved the complimentary breakfast every morning and the different options they offered from Indonesian breakfast, American breakfast to Continental options. They welcomed us with a free delicious cake because it was our honeymoon and also decorated our Villa which was nice. The one bed Villa with private pool was really nice. It offered a lot of amenities such as, private pool, snack bar, outdoors dining lounge, comfortable bed, afternoon tea, wi-fi, TV, bathrobes, slippers, mineral water, and many more. They also offer free airport pickup and drop off, as well as free shuttle in the Sanur area which was really helpful. You can even call front desk for them to pick you up where ever you are in the Sanur area or just arrange an hour and place for pickup and they will be there to pick you up and take you back to the hotel. The drivers were also very warm and nice people. They will also recommend things to do in Sanur area or Bali. I would rate this hotel 4 out of 5 for location. It is about 10 minute drive to the beach or 20 to 30 minute walk. They also have a beach lounge which could be improved. Otherwise we had an excellent stay at Mahagiri Villas and would come back no doubt.

Relaxing Vacation at the Mahagiri Villa in Bali

We stayed six days at Mahagiri Villas and Spa Resort in Bali and had a fabulous time. From the time of our arrival, the atmosphere and décor of the hotel was very relaxing. We were taken on a journey starting from the reception area to our private villa where we walked through a pathway of trees and flowers while listening to the sounds of bamboo chimes rattling in the wind. At dusk the Villa added stringed traditional lanterns that illuminated the pathways to the Villas. Our Villa was very spacious and designed with traditional Indonesian flair. The private pool was unique and had a Buddhist waterfall statue. The staff provided excellent service through out our stay. The restaurant on the property provided excellent food and entertainment. We especially liked the barbeque ribs and baked fish. Every morning we had breakfast at the Villa. Tea and cocktails were served in the afternoons. The Villa offered transportation to various points of interest in Sanur. The also arranged transportation for excursions outside of Sanur.

The Staff went above and beyond in providing great service for all the guests. They were very thoughtful in arranging a private dinner at our Villa for my Husband's birthday which included a birthday cake and song.

Thanks again to Ricky, Sarah, Julie, Sumur, Alec, the Restaurant Staff, and Spa Staff! YOU GUYS ROCK!

I would recommend staying at Mahagiri Villas Sanur in Bali.

The villa unit is nice in terms of its structural and interior designs, plus services. Unfortunately, the location of this villas is next to a busy and narrow road.. and inside of the unit where the master bed is, the headrest side of the wall is the same wall that separate the villas from the outside noisy road! Making it such irony for guest to pay for the luxury of a villa but had to bear with the noise over the other side of the wall, just like staying in a backpacker's inn!!! :(

I recently stayed at Mahagiri Villas in Sanur for my mum‘s 60th birthday, it was absolutely perfect. The staff bought a cake to our villa to surprise her, and sung happy birthday, everyone was so friendly and accommodating.
Our room was immaculate, and the daily breakfast was delicious. Afternoon tea was included in our accommodation and was bought to our villa each afternoon – smoothies and cakes/fruit platters.
The free shuttle service to and from the airport and to and from any area within Sanur was also super helpful in getting around, and gave us more freedom in our day without having to worry about catching taxis etc.
We had such a lovely time at Mahagiri, and will most definitely stay there next time we visit Bali.
The amazing staff are what makes this resort so special !

The villas are located about a 10 minute walk away from the beach which is very pleasant. Free transport is available, but we enjoyed discovering the area either by foot or cycling (cycles are free).

We had a 1 bedroom villa and a 2 bedroom villa for the children. The villas are a little dated but are exceptionally clean, with beautiful towels and linen and a different selection of fresh fruit is provided each day as a courtesy as was an afternoon tea. We had complimentary breakfast which was extensive and delicious. We also ate at the restaurant a number of nights which was also very pleasant with a tremendous effort being made to make the grounds and surrounds just so beautiful and relaxing. I can't fault the staff - they were all so wonderful.
I would definitely go back.

An Absolute Delight

Best place we have stayed in in Bali. Villas are fantastic - absolutely nothing to complain about. WiFi worked which is good for local accommodation.
Food and atmosphere of this place is fantastic. Every member of staff from the Owner's Representative and Resort Manager to the Waiters and Gardeners were friendly and went out of their way to speak with us and make sure we were enjoying our stay - this was however not intrusive at all - just sincere and friendly. We were amazed at how quickly and efficiently staff would attend to our room every time we stepped out. WE WILL BE BACK.

We stayed here for a wedding anniversary. The staff were lovely, made us very welcome and gave us flowers and an anniversary cake. The private pool and outdoor area of the villa was great, especially as it was unusually hot and humid.

An absolute gem. Private villas in a resort with your own pool, outdoor kitchen, day beds and shower. So private you feel you are completely by yourself. Includes breakfast with choices from a vast menu, afternoon tea and free transport. And the food is the best I have eaten. The staff arranged a candle lit private dinner in our villa which was fabulous. Everyone at the resort could not do enough for you. Can’t wait to return.

Went to Sanur for some down time. Mahagiri Villas suited perfectly. Accomodation a tad old but spacious and comfortable and very well maintained and clean. Outdoor private pool area great for chilling out. Didnt use restaurant other than breakfast which was good, not 5 star but good. Staff were the difference kept distance for privacy but were there in a flash when you wanted something. Nothing was too much trouble. Would go back for sure

Beautiful Villas

The hotel, although is in a narrow street, and at night it can be quite difficult to navigate to due to the lack of streetlights. But once inside the villas, and the hotel facilities are beautiful.
The villas are spacious, clean, and well equipped, with the pool being cleaned everyday.
Staff are extremely helpful, and answered all questions super quickly, and tended to our every need.
We found that the airport pick - up and drop off were very helpful, especially when we initially arrived in Bali and did not know our surroundings/environment very well.

The included everyday breakfast was super good for value, and the range of food provided was excellent.

Wish we had stayed longer

Had 5 nights here before heading to Lombok for a week. We had a wonderful time and on reflection now that we have been in Lombok for 5 days we wish we had stayed longer. The service was incomparable and every single member of staff bent over backwards to help. We learnt so much about the religion and culture from the wonderful staff who served at breakfast. Special thanks to Agus, Alex and Summa (apologies if I have mis spelt any names). The rooms were huge with a comfortable bed and a nice outside area including the pool. This was bigger than i was expecting and good in the evenings.We will definitely be returning.

We enjoyed our stay at Mahagiri Villas. Experienced Staff were amazing. Breakfast was good. Plenty of variety.
Very clean rooms and pool. Nice clean fluffy white towels which were changed morning and evening if required.
Free Shuttle to anywhere in Sanur, drop offs and pick ups were easy and efficient.
It was a bit of a hike to walk to the main shopping strip.

Beach club comprises of beach lounge and clean towels, don't use the beach club toilets, think everyone uses them...the staff at beach club we're helpful and friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Great food and service in Sanur

The layout of the hotel is great. Our group loved having its own compound. There is a shuttle to the beach, but the hotel's area on the beach is not well maintained. The sand needs to raked and the beach towels are dingy. All of the towels I used -at the hotel and at the beach were dingy- need to be replaced. The hotel needs to do some sprucing up, replacing finishings (chairs, sofas, tables) and re-painting. The food in the restaurant was the best I had during my 10 day trip. And, the service was great. I would stay here again, but I'd expect improvements on my return.

Free airport shuttle was convenient! Need to book in advance by e-mail. The correspondence was always good. Free welcome massage (15 min for everyone), free afternoon tea, free cocktail, a nice breakfast selection, Wednesday culture night... many things were very well considerate.
