The neighborhood seemed unsafe and the room smelt bad. The owner was difficult to communicate with and was hostile.
It was so unpleasant to stay there so I had to book another hotel.

The room was clean and bright. the location was very convenient. close to many bus routes and close enough to walk to the Vatican and metro stations. found good food nearby for a late night meal. Also many coffee and gelato shops.

Very clean and convenient place

What a great place! Quiet, very clean and conveniently located not far from the Vatican. We never heard anybody else around. The rooms are really clean and comfortable. Massimo (the manager/owner) is great as well.
There are plenty of buses at the doorstep to take you to the touristic attractions in Rome and it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Vatican Museums. The area is very quiet in the evening and there are lots of shops around open until late.
I would definitely stay there again.

This place really let me down. I want to give them a good review but in hindsight I cannot. First off it says they offer shuttle service to the airport. It's a driver they call and you pay them cash, no big deal, but our flight arrived at 1:30 from the USA. The driver was told to be there at 1:30 even though we had to go through customs and all the other stuff. When we finally made it the driver was angry at us because he had to wait 2 hours. We over compensated even though this should not have fallen on us. If that was all I would've still given this place a great review, despite the very mediocre breakfast that was provided. The man who runs the place was very kind and accommodating, but when we checked out I received and email the next day saying he would have to charge us 100 euros for damages to the room, without a specific explanation. I called him on this and said there was damage to the wall next to the bathroom previous to our stay, and if he could clarify what he was accusing us of. Not to mention, we always exchanged emails in English, but this time he sent it in Italian. I felt this was very shady. I emailed him again, trying to give him the benefit that he made a simple mistake, but again zero response, despite his previous prompt responses. This left a sour taste in my mouth. Besides being a nice neighborhood with a nice cafe and walking distance of the Vatican, it's better to find something closer to central Rome, ubers got expensive.

Good location about a mile near Vatican City

Overall a good stay. Breakfast is just a piece a bread and toast with jelly, plus coffee or juice. Old fashioned key entry system, had to carry 4 BIG keys around.Very small area for the rooms, can hear other rooms and they can hear you as well. Stayed for 3 nights, and was out of shampoo and soap on the 2nd day, no refills. But location is very good.

Best bed and breakfast you will ever find in Rome!

Great customer service goes a long way. So does cleanliness, great design and proximity. :-) thats why Michelangelo Vatican rooms gets our two thumbs up. Five stars all the way!

Modern, clean, friendly B&B

Clean, modern B&B about 10 mins walk from Vatican City. Once in your room you would not know it was not a hotel. The friendly guy meets you with keys and provides continental breakfast (included) in the morning.
Lovely modern ensure bathroom. Excellent value for money.

Very good place to stay and 1km from Vatican.

Very nice B&B which was well maintained and clean. Massimo was excellent owner with knowledgeable info of Rome. Safe area too and everything was within walking distance if you are on foot. Bus stop outside and Metro stop 6 mins. Easy! Breakfast we had on the 1st morning but gave it a miss on the other 3 mornings as it was not too good. The juice was bottled pear or peach,(prefer orange) sweet croissant with jam, 1 bun between 2 people and tea or coffee,(Nothing wrong with it, it just didn't suit us. Fresh towels and clean toilet and shower, but the shower would be my only complaint as it was a really poor water flow. Also there was a safe but no key. I would still go back as everything else was great and value for money. There are a few cafes and restaurants which are very reasonable so no need to spend a fortune on anything. We arrived late and checked out late but this didn't cause Massimo problems, he was very good

Nice clean apartment.

The apartment with balcony is good. We stayed for 4 nights and had a pleasant stay.
If you want to be close to all the sights this might not be your first choice. The apartment is 1.5 kilometre from the Vatican. We used the buses and Metro a lot as we found this the best way to see the sights. The buses leave from the terminus 5 minute walk from the apartment. Turn left from the apartment and walk straight along the road where you can get bus numbers 23/30/ and 70 which will take you to most of the sights. The owner Massimo is there when you arrive and will tell you about the area. His English is ok and we understood him fine. The place is very clean but basic. We would recommend this apartment if you don't mind walking or using public transport.

Clean, spacious and comfortable

Michelangelo Vatican Rooms lived up to expectations. What you see in the photographs is exactly what you get. The rooms are large with comfortable, clean beds. The bathrooms are modern and spacious with toiletries and hairdryer. Unusually for Rome, we had tea-making facilities although I would recommend bringing your own teabags/coffee sachets. The owner gave us milk to store in our fridge but there's also a general fridge containing water, juice, milk. If you don't want to walk to the Vatican (around 15 mins), bus no 23 takes you there. Take no 70 or 30 for Piazza Navona, just over the river. Very good value for money and a relaxing, peaceful base after a hectic day sightseeing.

My husband and I loved this bed and breakfast. It was quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms were very clean and updated very nicely. Massimo was an amazing host, meeting us outside to ensure we found the location and ordered our cab to the airport the day we left.

Very nice B&B,clean room close to Vatican

My friend and I we have a great time in Rome this B&B Michelangelo Vatican rooms,is 15 minutes walks to The Vatican,also the same time to the hop on/hop off the buses that take you to the most important places. when you get out of the B&B to your left is a buses terminal #23 take you to the Vatican and your way back get # 23 and always mention that you going to Clodio bc the Gollameto street is hard for the transportation people to find .Rome is beautiful place very safe,Florence is amazing and Capri Island is a must visit.Maria

Good location and lovely airy rooms

Lovely couple that manage the B&B and are there whenever you need them, the rooms are in very good condition and very modern as they aren't very old at all, lovely showroom facility etc. The only one thing they could improve on is breakfast just have something a bit fresher and tastier. Handy only 20 minute walk to the Vatican and a taxi rank right outside. Cant say I can really fault it. It isn't your typical hotel configuration as It looks as they've converted a floor of an old office block but it's quiet and very nice.

Arrived later than expected and the owner was still waiting to welcome us with a refreshing drink and pizza! Room cleaned every day and beds made up. Breakfast is coffee, croissants, packet toast and jam, which is served on a tray which can be taken to your room.
We were about a 15 minute walk from the Vatican and the nearest metro which isn't too bad.
My only criticism was the noise from the other residents coming in, doors getting slammed, and showers running at 1.30am.

Good for a short stay

Stayed for 3 nights,Massimo the owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. They speak very little English but just enough to get by.
We pulled up to the hotel in a taxi and couldn't find the entrance but someone in the store next door pointed out the intercom on the gate. Initially we thought we had been dropped off at the wrong place as the area looks nothing like a hotel or bed and breakfast. When we got inside we were pleasantly surprised, the rooms all seem to be recently refurbished. They are basic but are very clean and bright.
We had a kettle but no cups or tea and coffee so wouldn't consider it as tea making facilities.
Breakfast is served on a tray which you eat in your room and consists of a croissant, toasted bread in a packet, jam fruit juice and a small coffee that you make yourself from a machine.
The rooms are a steady 15 minute walk to the Vatican walls so are in a good location.
All in all it was good value for what we paid and as we only really used the room for sleeping and getting showered and changed it was adequate for what we wanted.

Great place, clean and convenient

This is a great place. It's more like a B&B than a hotel as there seems to be only a few rooms as part of the whole apartment. Each room has its own bathroom, and the rooms are very large. It's located near the Vatican, and it took us about 20 minutes to walk there. Despite its urban location, noise or safety was never an issue and we were able to sleep well here. The beds/pillows were quite comfortable which is always important when one is traveling. One of the best parts is that it's extremely clean! I mean, spotless! The breakfast was croissants, package toast and jam/butter, juice, and I think some fruit? The proprietor, Mr. Massimo was very nice and welcoming. He was very knowledgeable about the city and even called a taxi for us when it was time to depart. It's not a 5 star hotel with all the frills but it's a great, CLEAN place if you want to visit Rome and be in the heart of the Vatican at a fair price.

Tolles kleines Hotel in der Nähe zum Vatikan

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen.
Das Zimmer entsprach zu 100% den Bildern und war super sauber und gemütlich.
Das Hotel liegt ca. 1,5 km vom Vatikan entfernt, so kann man sich nach dem Abendessen den Petersdom mit seiner Beleuchtung anschauen.
Auf dem Weg zum Vatikan liegen viele kleine Restaurants die sowohl zum Cappuccino als auch zum Dinner einladen. Besonders zu empfehlen ist das BACCANALE al 59 auf der Via Della Giuliana ca. 400m vom Hotel.
Wir haben den Taxiservice in Anspruch genommen der mit 50€ je Strecke vollkommen ok ist.
Alles in allem ein super Aufenthalt 👍

Der Vermieter (Massimo) ist sehr freundlich und gilfsvereit. Das Zimmer ist schlicht aber geschmacksvoll eingerichtet. Es was stets sauber... die Putzfrau ist auch eine äusserst angenehme Person.
Eine kleine Kritik gibts jedoch: Unser Zimmer war ziemlich lärmempfindlich! Man bekam jedes Geräusch und Gespräch aus dem Korridor mit!

Uns hat es trotzdem gut gefallen...

Nette Unterkunft in Stadt Nähe

Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber, es gibt einen Kühlschrank, das Bett ist bequem.
Bis zum Vatikan sind es 15 Minuten zu Fuß.
Der Chef ist sehr freundlich.
Nachteil:
Es gibt kein deutsches TV.
Das Frühstück könnte etwas besser sein. Satt wird man davon nicht.

Hübsches B&B in der Nähe des Vatikans

Herr Morani war sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gepflegt. Alles wirkte sehr neu und modern, das Bad war ebenfalls top. Von außen wirkt das Gebäude eher unscheinbar und wir waren zunächst etwas verwundert. Aber wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und innen war auch alles sehr schön.

Top Adresse in Rom!

Sehr schönes B&B in Vatikannähe.
Die Anlage befindet sich im Romer Stadtteil Clodio
Saubere und sehr gepflegte kleine Unterkunft mit 4 Zimmern. Alle Zimmer haben ein eigenes Farbthema, unseres war in einem pastelligem grün gehalten. Der Besitzer des B&Bs Massimo ist ein überaus netter, kompetenter und sehr freundlicher Gastgeber.
Die Zimmer selbst, sind ausreichend möbliert, es gibt ein Bett mit Nachtkästchen, einen Schrank, einen kleinen TV an der Wand und eine Sitzecke mit 2 Stühlen und einem Rundtisch, sowie ein kleiner Schreibtisch mit Spiegel.
Das Bad besteht aus Toilette, Dusche, Waschbecken mit Hängespiegelschrank und Bidet. Ein Fön ist ebenfalls vorhanden.
Eine Bushaltestelle ist beinah direkt vor der Haustür, nach ca. 100 m über der Straße.
Die U-Bahn Haltestelle Ottaviano ist ca. 10 min zu Fuß erreichbar.
vom Flughafen Ciampino ist es etwa eine halbe Stunde mit dem Auto.
Wir würden sehr gerne wieder kommen, uns hat es sehr sehr gut gefallen.

Rom Kurzaufenthalt, dafür alles in allem OK

Sehr versteckt. Das Gebäude ist sehr schwer zu finden und nicht ausgeschildert. Selbst wenn man direkt davor steht, findet sich nur ein kleines Klingelschildchen. Die Unterkunft liegt in einem größeren Wohnhaus neben einem Sicherheitsgelände (Gericht oder Kaserne). Es handelt sich nicht um ein Hotel sondern um ein B&B, daher gibt es nur eingeschränkte Zeiten für check-in und check-out, was etwas stressig ist. Der Betreiber möchte die genaue Ankunftszeit und wartet dann extra. Das Verlassen des Gebäudes ist recht umständlich, man bekommt zahlreiche Schlüssel, die man auch benötigt... Unser Zimmer wurde nach dem Auschecken zu einem Aufenthaltsraum umgebaut. Kann Zufall gewesen sein...Alles in allem - wenn man es einmal gefunden hat - eine recht gute Unterkunft. Sehr sauber und modern, WLAN gratis, zum Vatikan/Petersdom läuft man ca. 15 Minuten durch eine schöne typische Straße. Auch die U-Bahn erreicht man in der selben Zeit ganz gut. Shopping in der Ottaviano Straße ist eine schöne Option. Frühstück ist nicht zu empfehlen (Croissants, abgepackter Aufstrich und extrem süßer Nektar). Wer also auch wegen des Frühstücks bucht: Das sollte Eure Entscheidung bitte nicht beeinflussen! Wer den Schwerpunkt nicht in der Gegend Vatikan/Petersdom setzt, sollte ggfs. ein anderes Viertel bevorzugen.

Sehr angenehmes Zimmer in ruhiger und zentraler Lage. Frühstück typisch italienisch, sehr netter Gastgeber, sauberes Zimmer, es wurde der Shuttle Service organisiert direkt vom Flughafen, alles in allem ein sehr gutes B&B und nur zu empfehlen.

Ondanks onze score van 3=OK t.a.v. ligging, kwaliteit bedden, zeer schone kamer + badkamer en hartelijke ontvangst, toch wel enkele kanttekeningen. De werkelijk ijskoude vloeren van de kamer + badkamer, alsmede de ijskoude gang + ontbijtruimte waren zeer oncomfortabel. Verder bleek op onze laatste dag het ons op een eerder dan gebruikelijk tijdstip
toegezegde ontbijt (dit i.v.m. onze kaartjes voor de Villa Borghese om 09.00 uur) niet te zijn geregeld, jammer!

Rent hotel med super service

Massimo var super venlig, og det var et rigtig fint og meget rent værelse. Det ligger i gåafstand til Vatikanet, og vi havde ro om aftenen og natten. Super service ift. at vi ankom og tog afsted på skæve tidspunkter. Massimo hjalp med at arrangere transport begge veje. Kan sagtens anbefales!

Trevlig personal, rent och fräscht

Mycket trevligt B&B, personalen väldigt hjälpsamma och rummet rymligt och rent.
Vårat plan hem gick inte förrän fram på kvällen, utcheckning är 10 från rummet, då ordnades med att vi fick lämna kvar väskan på kontoret samt en extra nyckel att använda fram till det var dags att åka hem. Kan varmt rekommendera detta B&B:)

4 chambres dans ce \"complexe\" très propres, avec frigo, climatisation, télé et salle d'eau privée
Petit-déjeuner inclus et wi-fi gratuit
Bon accueil, propriétaire très gentil, disponible et très souriant
Concernant la localisation: 30 min à pieds du Vatican, 15 min à pieds du métro Ottaviano, bus à 5 minutes à pieds.

El b&b está un poco a las orillas de Roma y la primera impresión por fuera no parece buena, pero una vez que entras a la habitación es preciosa, muy limpia y la atención del encargado es excelente muy recomendable
