Great small hotel in perfect location. 2 minute walk to Monasteraki Square. Stayed in the deluxe suite, which was very nice. It’s two stories so there’s some stairs, but has a full kitchen, two TVs and two A/C’s. Would be a two million dollar loft in SoHo. Crystal who manages the front desk is awesome and knows more than most guides. I highly recommend this hotel.

The property is certainly significantly more dates than the photos. While the staff was nice the noise from the surrounding bars was intolerable. It’s not just background city noise it’s loud pounding music until 4 am . They know this is an issue since they leave you earplugs in your room. After a long international fight and then two nights without sleep I left there completely exhausted.

This hotel was amazing. From the staff to the room I have no complaints. Although the outside area may seem sketchy don’t let that fool you as we were out throughout all times of the day and night. There were plenty food options nearby and it’s very close to Monastiraki and the acropolis. While the bars are open late we could not hear the noise from our room and we were able to sleep just fine with no issues.

Staff were super helpful and made us feel welcome. One thing that was not so good was that the breakfast started at 0830 and finished at 11. We were out early every day and so only option was to take a packed lunch that they provided. It worked but we generally eat out when possible.

We loved the area. There were tons of places to eat, shop and close to the Acropolis. Staff was wonderful. We were in town way before check-in time and they got our room ready for us early. The only minor issue was there is no staff available between the hours of midnight and 8 a.m. You receive a code to get in and out of the building, but they made sure we had a taxi called for us for our early morning flight. It wasn't a big deal for us. We enjoyed our time there and would stay there again. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

The front desk was helpful and understanding. After a long flight, the front desk was able to check us into our room a few hours earlier than excepted. Everything is walking distance from the hotel. All top recommended places for restaurants and site seeing.

Best staff at any hotel we’ve ever stayed in. My mom broke her foot 2 days into our vacation and they helped setup medical care and were very accommodating with her crutches and scooter. We had an early morning excursion planned and they had breakfast boxes prepared for us the night before. They setup taxis to and from the airport as well. Hotel itself was very nice and modern and the beds were comfy! 10/10 would recommend and would stay again

Absolutely love the friendly and helpful staff. We arrived early from a cruise and they were able to store our luggage until the room was ready. That gave us the opportunity to be luggage free so we could enjoy the city early in the morning before it got busy.

Do not skip the lovely breakfast spread in the morning. They can even make a nice omelet for you.

Front desk was super helpful reserving a taxi for us the night before. We loved the unique see through floor and the nice cold air conditioning when it got really hot outside. Would 100% stay here again.

A great basic place to stay at, ver close to a metro station. This is why I chose it. The lay out of the rooms are a bit strange, but the staff and the service is stellar. They gave me a different vacant room to sleep in when the AC in my room broke down. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. I would stay there again due to the convenient location and would tolerate the night life noise that at least in my room was not too bad and I could sleep. I did not even use the earplugs they provided. The insulation is quite good

Very nice hotel in the heart of Athens, close to the shopping areas and 10 minutes walk from the Acropolis. The staff are very friendly. Crystal marked out all the key places to visit on a map, giving us various tips and also ensured we would have breakfast boxes on the days we would be leaving early on tours. The rooms are a decent size with modern fittings.

The Fountain Hotel was a positive experience! Staff was friendly; \"Evi\" demonstrated such great customer service! We arrived 5hrs before check in and were told that they would prioritize our room to have it ready and clean early for us, which they did. By the time we returned two hours later, our room was ready, and all luggages were brought upstairs - a total of 6-7 heavy luggage items brought to the third floor using the small elevator. Thank you Evi!!! We were given lots of tips and suggestions on how to best enjoy the local area. The only con was it was a little loud at times during the night but it was to be expected due to such a central location amidst a road of bars and restaurants. Ear plugs were provided in our rooms. The continental breakfast was enjoyable and appreciated by the party I was with. There are a fair amount of local cafes and restaurants to grab treats and meals throughout the day. I recommend the spanakopita at Bougatsadiko Psirri! Thank you The Fountain Hotel and staff; we would stay here again.

People said it’s noisy but to my self and my husband it was just fine with the window closed even on the weekend. We stayed a total of 7 days at the fountain and everyday was an adventure.

We stayed at The Fountain Athens for 5nights at the beginning of April. We cannot fault anything! Communication prior to arrival was excellent and the hotel helped set us up with transfers on our arrival into Athens airport. The room itself was very quirky and modern and set over 2 levels and had everything we could possibly need, including complimentary bottled water each day. The whole hotel was very clean. The breakfasts were freshly made to order and something to look forward to every day. Every single member of staff at the front desk could not have been more friendly or helpful. Always happy to give advice and ideas. They helped set us up with transfers back to the airport and even let us keep on our room until our pick up time. The location of the hotel is excellent! So many bars and restaurants from right next door. In our room we heard no noise at all considering it was such a busy area. This is the only place we would stay if we return to Athens. Top rate service!

The hotel is excellent, with a great location and a very, very kind and attentive staff. The rooms are clean and beautiful. However, there were two issues — the hot water ran out in the shower, which seems to be a recurring problem at the hotel, and the location is extremely noisy. Other than that, it's an excellent hotel.

Staff friendly and accommodating, everything was great except noise happening outside.We were there Fri,Sat,Sun.Seems like theres a congregation happening in the street ,loud talking,yelling,singing very loud music from sundown till the morning,non stop.They did provide ear plugs but really didnt help much.So were sleep deprived.Sunday night didnt seem as bad,still loud talking ,but think the fact that it rained, helped,and work or school day Monday,coz didnt see congregation on the street.

The warm reception with Eviduring the day and Crystal in the evening, was amazing. I learned how to count to 10 in Greek and also how to greet people in Greek. They gave me so much advice about places to visit and even how to get places and check subway (Metro) times.as well! The rooms are nice a spacious and the breakfast was nice and served with a smile!

Our stay was superior in every way. The front desk staff were all wonderful and is helpful. They really care! The morning breakfast was tasty and they were so pleasant to deal with. The hotel is well cared for and comfortable. We would definitely recommend to anyone travelling who likes a busy area of town with many night options for food and music. The hotel was located near the acropolis. The room was very spacious, it actually was two stories, with a living room and kitchen and refrigerator on the first floor and the bedroom, bathroom, closet and another living area with a couch and coffee table. The floor under the coffee table was made with glass so you could look down into the kitchen. The ladies that worked at the desk were so helpful with suggestions on where to eat and things to see. They even made us a breakfast box for each of us because we had an early morning flight. They were wonderful! I would definitely stay here again if visiting Athens.

If you stay here during the busy summer season, you will want to ask for a fan or something to drown out some of the sound from the bars along the street. The street is very safe and has lots of great options for dining and bars, but it gets loud. We requested a fan as we run hot and slept great with it.
The staff are all very nice, welcoming and extremely helpful. We had a great time at this hotel and the room was cleaned daily and the breakfast was great. It's really a great value and right next to public transit.

I would give the staff of the fountain six stars if I could. They were so kind and so helpful and generous with our time enthusiastic about our vacation just lovely. The hotel was always clean. Staff were so good. Free breakfast was much better than we were expecting. Room was clean, modern, and bed was comfy. A little noisy at night, but not ridiculous (unless you're super sensitive). Appreciated the blackout curtains. Good, quiet A/C. The only things didn't quite like about the room were that the shower floor wasn't sloped enough, so the water pooled before draining and sometimes smells came up from the drain, but neither was crazy bad - just noticeable. We actually really liked it and wished we could have extended our stay there.

We love the location of the property and the staff; however, our room did not hit the mark. The concept of the concrete vibe is great but it’s obvious that it hasn’t been properly cleaned. All of the corners and especially the bathroom floor and walls were all horribly dirty. The shower room smelled terribly of mildew and there was an incense holder hidden behind the front door. That was a clear indication to me that they knew it smelled bad. The sheets had stains which I took photos of and so did our bath towels. The breakfast is great and the location is wonderful, but this place needs a deep clean.

The hotel is very clean and modern. Great area for food night life and easy access to transportation. The metro is around the corner, but my favorite was the staff especially the lady who works reception during the daytime. First time in Athens got lost going to the hotel and calll asking her for directions. She was patient and when I get to the hotel she informed me on how to get around the area . Great place would definitely stay there again.

The best thing about this hotel is the reception staff- they are the nicest reception staff I’ve met. Really keen to help, nothing was too much trouble, very chatty. One day I asked for some of their breakfast cake in my breakfast box and they helpfully provided it. They also answer their emails very quickly. Only thing is breakfast is served quite late so if doing day trips you miss out on this, but do get a box.

The PERFECT Location

The perfect location for a culture-filled short stay in Athens' coolest neighborhood. I was a bit wary when I arrived because the hotel is located in a narrow lane which almost felt like an alley during the daytime. At night, the lane morphs into a fantastic cafe community attracting locals and visitors. Lots of great people watching and food options. Awesome hotel for young travel enthusiasts!

The hotel is located in a busy little spot, hopping w young people. It was vibrant and fun. Although right on the street the bars went until late in the night, the hotel had good sound proofing and leaves earplugs for you. I'm a light sleeper and surprisingly had no issues sleeping. The Fountain Athens was our first stay of a 6 stop trip around Greece and we couldn’t have imagined a more welcoming first hotel. The staff were truly the most kind and friendly we encountered on the whole trip - they made us feel cared about and like we were part of a small community. I really can’t say enough nice things about the staff, especially the main daytime front desk staff member, in particular. She truly went above and beyond the entire time.

The hotel is in a great location, close to all the bars and places to eat. The room was extremely clean and spacious as well.
