The hotel is a very good value. We rented the Family Deluxe apartment which has plenty of space.
When we arrived, we were disappointed to see various smudges/marks on the wall of the toilet room. I cleaned them off with some soap and water. The drainer in the sink in the bathroom had some brown looking grime or mold around it (maybe it simply is too old and should be replaced.) There should be a little more communication regarding when the cleaners come. I didn’t see a “do not disturb” sign we could use. It’d be nice to have an option to leave your trash out at a certain time of day for collection.
Except for these criticisms, I was very happy with Zeitwohnhaus and would stay there again.

Great hotel! Room was quiet, big enough and clean! The bathroom perfect for short stays (big shower, no bath tube). For Checkin details (code) I have to go through a complicate application or website from the hotel organisation.. WHY??? I have booked the room via hotels.com - so you should be able to send me all necessary details! Keep it simple - then you guys get the 5th Smiley!

The rooms we had were magnificent. Room is an understatement, they were suites complete with bedroom, bath, kitchenette, dining and living room areas. Add to this a rooftop balcony in Building B. All clean and very comfortable. The staff were very accommodating. The only down side was the elevator in building A was unserviceable and there is no AC in the rooms, but a fan made it comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone else. For the price we paid it couldn’t have been better, a definite value.

Der Preis für das Frühstück ist viel zu teuer.

Superb apartment! Was happily surprised how big it was and the roof balcony was great. Well equipped - comfy bed - loads of cupboard space- 2x tv - nice touch with the Bluetooth speaker.
Only minor issue was that the nespresso machine didn’t heat up.
Free gym and use of ironing equipment which we took advantage of. Ideal location for venturing into town and the Berg

We loved our stay in the family deluxe apartment, in fact, we wish we could have stayed longer. It was quite spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The keyless, coded room entry was brilliant. It was so nice not having to carry around a keycard and worry about losing it. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There were many restaurant options plus a grocery store nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

You get a lot of emails for codes to get into the building and room and check in. Front desk only staffed till 5pm. No chance to get in before 3pm, but we could leave suitcase at front desk. I hope they would have put it in the room had we come back after 5pm! Very small room, no a/c on a hot day (you have to leave window open at night and it’s busy out there!), very small bathroom. Two people can’t move freely. They have a kettle and instant coffee and tea in the room. Restaurants everywhere in area. Excellent location for the University and hospitals. Ten minutes walk to train station. Clean room. Looks nice. Front desk lady was nice.

I had a wonderful stay in this hotel - it's absolutely value for money! I was impressed by the interior design of the hotel and breakfast was super (good selection of food and even sparking wine was included in the price of 15€). Overall cleanliness was sufficient especially if one does not pay attention on details like dusty air conditioner or dirty door handles.

Great Apartments in Convenient Location

These were excellent apartments in a very convenient location. They are clean and modern with plenty of room and amenities.
The reception closes fairly early and we had to use the key pads to enter the apartments which was fairly complicated the first time. After the initial entry it was a simple passcode entry which was ideal.
Had a couple of issues logging into the provided WiFi |(although this may have been a problem with my ipad) but on the whole this was good with a good signal.
They do offer a breakfast buffet which we didn't use as this seemed rather expensive and there were loads of cafes etc nearby. All in all a good experience.

Room very clean bright and comfortable. Short walk to train. Small grocery store across the street. Good breakfast onsite and good limited lunch menu. Surprisingly, a Domino pizza across the street had fantastic pizza- unlike US stores. Many shops and places to eat close by. Most of all- super safe. My daughter and I walked to hotel from train station at midnight. Not one problem. Excellent property.

The breakfasts were amazing! So much choice and variety. The rooms were a little bit hot, but very spacious for the price. Great location for the beer festival. Really cool layout and lovely touches, such as welcome drinks/drinks for those who were going out and about for the day.

Excellent Place To Stay

These apartments are absolutely fantastic and excellent value for money. Located within a 10 minute walk of the train station and surrounded by a number of very good restaurants. The staff are very polite, extremely helpful and speak faultless English. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern which made my stay there very comfortable and enjoyable and breakfast buffet was one of the best that I have ever seen, the quality and choice was unbelievable.

Lovely little hotel

This is my go to hotel for around this area. Service at check in is always friendly. I really like the small but clean and modern rooms with nice shower facilities. Rooms are always clean. Parking available for a fee. There are coin operated washing machines and dryer in the hotel, something quite rare in Germany I think. In the morning you get a nice breakfast selection. I will stay again.

Excellent service, outstanding breakfast

This place sets new standards for personable staff and efforts into providing a wonderful breakfast buffet. During my stay, the hotel was sold out with a conference of mathematicians and immunologists going on at the same time. And everyone had to be out the door at the same time. Nevertheless, the breakfast was restocked, fresh, clean and available and the staff friendly. The rooms serve the purpose but the location is also noteworthy, everything important is within walking distance.

A calm, clean, safe, well-designed stay

Mistakes happen to everyone, but it's often how a business reacts to their mistakes that can set them apart. We booked a room with air conditioning our first night in town and were inadvertently given one without it, so we spent an uncomfortable, jet lagged night without it.

When management learned of this, they responded swiftly and graciously, changing our room and profusely apologizing. The rest of the service during our 5-night stay was friendly and efficient.

So I'd definitely stay here again. The price was good, the facility well located, and comfortable.

Great hotel close to the centre of Erlangen

Really great hotel with lovely breakfast. Couple of things that would have made it better:
- not all rooms have air conditioning - we stayed at the end of May 2017 when temperatures hit 30c and the rooms were roasting at night. Staff gave us a couple of fans which helped but nothing like air con would have done
- would have been better if all windows had shutters/black out blinds (or at least all bedrooms) - one of our bedrooms did, and the other didn't - which makes for an early morning wake up with children!

Situated in a quiet, pretty street within easy walking distance of the town centre. Lots of choice for restaurants and cafes nearby.

My room was large, spotless and comfortable with excellent wifi throughout the hotel. Good breakfast buffet catering to most tastes.

The hotel also hires bikes, which everyone uses in Erlangen, and for the adventurous there was also a motor scooter.

Would definitely recommend and I will certainly use on my next visit to Erlangen.

Great little apartments - walk everywhere!

We spent a single night at the hotel and were very pleased with the apartment. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We walked downtown to see a concert and found the hotel is perfectly located for pretty much anything you want to do in the downtown area of Erlangen. Great free breakfast, and a Domino's Pizza directly across the street from the hotel. Clean room, comfortable beds, mini kitchen, and even a bed for our dog! Will definitely stay here again and come back to explore Erlangen.

Erlangen Germany Hotel

The hotel is in a good location; i.e., about a 5 minute walk to the center of town. Erlangen is a relative small city. The only negative is the 13 Euro price for breakfast. However my prepaid reservation through Expedia included breakfast and parking.

I could not enjoy this Hotel

Hotel was okay but it was very close to street so I could not sleep well because of noise. Breakfast was very good. Bathroom shower does not have door so it was very difficult to shower without spilling water outside. I could not enjoy shower at all, I hate this kind of shower in European Hotel. Price was very high compare to same standard Hotel here in US.

We were just looking for an overnight en route to Leipzig, and found this place on line. Really lovely. Located in a delightful university town. More of an apartment than a suite, with two bedrooms. Very new, modern, up-to-date. Perfect for our family of four. And very nice breakfast too.

Overall I was very satisfied with our stay. The hotel was very nice. Clean, up to date, and comfortable. We stayed in the Jr. Suite, which had separate bedrooms and baths. They offered a very good breakfast, and even has a bar area open until 2200 on weekday nights. Lots of restaurants locally, including a supermarket. We did have two issues (the shower did not drain and the coffee maker did not work) which I addressed with the front desk after the first night, and was told would be fixed. They were not. This is the reason I would not rate this as a 5 star.

Close to visit daughter in Nürnberg

The room was clean and comfortable, the property is well maintained and local traffic was very manageable with attached assigned parking. It met our needs very well. The staff was friendly and spoke English, handy for us. The price was reasonable considering Erlangen was heavily booked. The location is a bit tricky because of one way streets in the area, but once learned the street pattern is no problem.
