Sofa bed needs a better bedding!

The sofa bed bedding was awful! Bedsheets are tiny for that kind of bed! The cleaning was ok. We were not amazed of the size of the room. Unfortunately one of us had to crawl or walk on the bed to the other side of the sofa! It is a shame! Otherwise was ok and probably we come back. The breakfast was really good!

Solid, clean, hotel not far from Nuremberg.

Staff were very nice. Friendly and professional. Parking was easy on the street around the hotel (on weekends) if not, there is paid parking in the garage. There is a great pizza restaurant just around the corner (walkable). Overall was a great little base for our quick drive over to the Nuremberg christmas market. Neighborhood is quiet and safe as well.

It is a nice place! We like it. First time was verry nice . We enjoyed it. Second time we was there we was a bit upset. We book a family room and when we get there they give us to separate rooms. In rest we love the hotel. Be blessed!

Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced

We booked this hotel to go to the Christmas markets in Nürnberg and also to do the Fünf Seidla Steig brewery walk. As hotels in Nürnberg as expensive at this time of year, this was a good, reasonably priced alternative. It's about a 10 minute walk to the station and an easy train ride to Nürnberg. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly.

There was just a single sheet on the mattress. The comforter/blanket was half the size of the bed. I had to ask for another comforter because I could not sleep just one (about the size of sleeping bag. No extra pillows or sheets.

NICE HOTEL WITH GOOD CENTRAL LOCATION IN ERLANGEN

DID NOT EXPECT TO HAVE TO GIVE MY BANK CARD TO PAY £25 PER NIGHT DEBIT WHICH WOULD BE PUT BACK ON MY ACCOUNT AT THE END OF THE STAY. THE BREAKFAST AT 17 EUROS PER PERSON WAS VERY EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT WAS ON OFFER AT THE BREAKFAST BUFFET. ONLY HAD IT ON ONE MORNING BECAUSE OF THE HIGH PRICE. DID NOT MAKE IT CLEAR THERE WOULD NOT BE A BATH TUB IN THE ROOM, ONLY A SHOWER.

ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AND THE STAFF PLEASANT AND ABLE TO SPEAK ENGLISH.

I booked the hotel room late during a friend's bday party and I wanted ot get some sleep. It was close and was a great value. While there was perhaps a moment of misinformation while chekcing in, I was soon in my comfortable room and got the night's sleep I wanted.

Was clean, comfortable, difficult to find, quite a way from bus stops.didn't like some rules, paying another 75 euros on arrival unexpected,and not being returned to your account for a week? I respect other people's property wouldn't damage a thing!Breakfast to dear.they need an all round day/night smoking area as smoking at front entrance not good for their image and garden closed lot time.staff friendly.free cup tea in morning in reception.Internet never used as receptionist said if appropriate would be charged to your bill at home on your home provider? Didn't like sound of that at all! Overall ok, needs attention to detail.

Nice, clean hotel at a nice price!

We attended a wedding in the area and stayed here for two nights. The hotel is great and in a great location. There is a parking garage below the hotel for easy access. The room and reception area was very clean and the staff is friendly. My only complaint, obviously very specific to my stay: the air conditioner in our room never seemed to function properly, which doesn’t make for a good night’s sleep. It was actually hotter in our room than in the hallway, which meant we had to get dressed for the wedding with the door open. We asked to have it fixed, but as there was only one employee in the hotel, it took quite a while. When it was finally fixed, the room was only slightly less hot. We would definitely stay here again, just not in the summertime.

Good hotel for business traveler

In keeping with the solid reputation of Novotel chain - this hotel met my needs. The room was spartan but met nearly all my needs- as a woman -I wish hotels would supply shower caps and conditioner.
The restaurant was good- breakfast buffet excellent-supplies were low on my first visit even though it was only 7:45- went earlier next day!
Staff were all excellent-efficient, helpful and very kind.

We have stayed in several Novotels and this one was unique in that it seemed more like an extended stay apartment. The room was arranged for only one person upon arrival, although our reservation reflected 4 people. It was immediately rectified, so no issues there at all. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again! There is also a brewery nearby and they sell that beer in the Novotel- a nice bonus!

Great for business

This was for a 2-day business trip. Location was perfect; just a few minutes walk to my collaborators at a nearby major biomedical company, and just a few minutes from the train station by taxi.

Check-in and check-out was easy. The front desk was also very helpful making some special arrangements & storing extra luggage.

The room was perfect & clean, Internet was free, and my daily rate was a steal.

I did not use their amenities much, though, so I cannot comment on that.

Overall, I'll definitely be back for future business trips.

Excellent hotel and family friendly. I took my two boys aged 9&7 and Mrs to Nuremberg and it was a good choice we stayed at Novotel hotel Erlangen. The hotel was very clean, family friendly and staff spoke good English. 10 minutes walk into Erlangen town centre. The town was very neat and most interesting the bicycle riding culture as against using a car.

10 min walk from Erlangen Hbf, so, if you need go to Nuremberg each day - it is better to rent a car. I order this hotel because I know Novotel very well and there are no hotels in Nuremberg in exhibition time.

The hotel is what one expects of the hotel chain-no frills but adequate. Liked the possibility of making your own tea in the rooms. Unfortunately, magazine in the room and Tv channels were in German. Staff, however was English speaking and helpful. Perhaps worst thing about this hotel is that it is difficult to find although not far from railway station. I suggest hotel invests in some signs- at least in the vicinity.

disappointing stay at the hotel

Once checked in and reached my room I intended to use the gym as it was advertised yet I was told it is under construction this was not mentioned when I booked online, my first night in the hotel I was woken by the occupants of the room next door snoring the whole night and the same the next night I am afraid I found the hotel expensive and bad value for money. I am only glad I was only there for two nights, never again.

I was staying for close to a month. I wish the hotel had considered this and given a larger room - or moved me to larger room when one was available. For me, in the service industry - this is what makes a customer come back. In my case - I will check for better alternates next time. Sorry. Breakfast is expensive given the hotel is just average, but quality is good. Desparately need a gym.

Comfartable and pleasing hotel.

Nice, clean hotel, a few minutes from Erlangen train station. Staff were very helpful and most of them spoke good English. Bed could do with being a bit firmer as the mattress was very soft, but that is just my personal preference.

The breakfast is expensive but very good quality.

Wi-Fi is not free, which is my biggest gripe.

Happiest New Year

Traveling with family to spend New Year's in the father of our great-grandparents, we feared that everything would be closed and we wouldn't get to drink Kitzmann beer nor get Kitzmann souvenirs for family back in America. However, the hotel staff went far and beyond their duties to organize souvenirs and a sampling of beer for us! THAT is service and we were extremely happy and grateful for having selected this hotel and its staff!!!!

Be careful making reservations here!

Due to the death of my mother, I had to cancel my trip several days in advance. Even with this circumstance, the hotel refused to cancel my reservation. I will never make a reservation here again.

Difficult start, but good recovery

We arrived to find that the two babybeds were not in the room as we had requested in our email to the hotel. Luckily, we had one portable cot in our luggage (we were on our way home from holiday) and the hotel managed to get hold of an extra one. They were full of apologies and actually provided the second cot by asking a member of staff to go home and borrow one from his home! As it was getting late, it meant that we had two tired, grumpy kids up for an hour longer than necessary, while we sorted out the problem. However, things went fairly smoothly after this and they even reduced the bill a little to make up for their mistake. So overall, they responded well and did their best to make amends.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Balkon gebucht-bei der Ankunft haben wir ein Zimmer mit Balkon bekommen,dieser war aber gesperrt-warum?
Nachder Beschwerde bekamen wir dann unser Zimmer-wie gebucht-anscheinend wusste man nichts von dem gesperrten Balkon…oder man hat es einfach mal versucht,vielleicht bringt man das Zimmer auch so los…
