We arrived at the hotel around 10pm. We were tired and cold, but as soon as we arrived, we were welcomed with the warmest receptionist named Yaiza (if I wrote her name correct). She was really helpful, professional and very courteous. She made sure that everything was fine with our stay. She made our stay very pleasant. THANK YOU!
Great room was very clean and nice size bed.

I will recommend anybody to stay at your hotel.

Nice room & convenient location

Breakfast bar was great, wide selections to choose from. Center of the town, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Staffs were professional. Room was organized, but the chair for the desk was a little high to sit on, tried to adjust the height but didn’t work.

The standard room in the second floor with an ugly view to fans on a roof was with almost 240 € totally overpriced. The room is low outdated standard in an old concrete building. The breakfast was great, the personnel very friendly.
In addition at the reception for checking in and our just one (friendly and professional) person.

Avoid this hotel if you are a business traveller

I booked a superior room at a higher price but the room was very average. I stayed for three nights and the room was not cleaned properly each day. However, the worst part of my stay was the Internet that just did not work. I complained about it to the reception and was on the IT support call for like half an hour who could not solve the issue. I end up using my mobile phone's Hotspot during my entire stay. Staying for three nights in a hotel without Internet when you are on a business trip was a horrible experience.

The staff was SO nice and professional. Location is great- right by shopping and bus stop.
The ony reason wht the propery score was very goo, not excellent is that there is a bit of construction on the right side (outside) I dont think it is regarding the hotel. I just wanted to mention it and to be cautious. Due to the walkway being obsructed, you have to walki in the bikelane.

Business Hotel on outskirts of Nürnburg.

Clean, well organised Hotel, Staff couldn't help enough and our five day stay flew by, both rooms were perfect, Staff came in every morning and cleaned them while we were out, breakfast was capable with European or English menu, ie, cereal, sausage, bacon, egg and the more usual cheese, hams and fruit, to sweet pastries. A small bar-restaurant was a nice place to relax in at the evening before retiring to our rooms so would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is in an okay location with a bakery and an italian restaurant nearby. We had a very frustrating experience upon check in when our first room could not be accessed by the key card. The hotel attendant while nice was not very capable. She put us in another room but it took quite a while (we were trying to make play reservations) and the room she put us in was not as big as what we paid for so we should have received a credit of some kind. Additionally, we came back late and wanted to order dinner in the restaurant. We were told we could get food but would need to go back up and order it through room service, although we could eat it in the restaurant. What?? Thankfully, logic prevailed and the bartender saw how ridiculous that was. She let us order food but it was not of the quality that others around us received. Our bad for ordering so late but maybe had we not had the back and forth about room service we would have ordered sooner. The ac in our room was not working and despite two visits to the room the same attendant that helped us earlier could not fix it. She insisted she was going to change our room again or fix it but never did. Nice hotel but not really a good experience that night.

A/C did not work in our room! Front desk said repair could not be called on the weekend! When I asked about another room, she said they would see! The room change did not happen - we opened the window! Very hot!! Next night we assumed the problem was corrected - wrong! We were finally moved to another room. Same problem! A/C not working! Front desk said they were sorry; nothing else they could do! Again we slept with windows open. Hot! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!

Generally not bad but a few annoying points:
Had AC set to coldest all night but room was still like an oven and very warm
The curtains in the room weren't wide enough to cover all of the windows so had to use a towel to cover one of the windows
The bulb for the light as you enter the room was missing so was very dark upon entering the room
On a positive the lady at the Bar was very helpful and food menu though short was great!

The location is just perfect to stay for several days. Shopping mall, Supermarket, and Erlangen main station are in a walking distance. The staff were very friendly and well trained. The price was reasonable because the facilities were good enough.

Go to the Novotel instead

The Novotel (just around the corner) is more modern and generally nicer than the NH hotel, even though it has only three stars and is cheaper. I was only in the NH hotel for a few minutes, but it definitely seemed a bit run down: marks on the walls, and a nasty musty smell from the carpet.

The worst thing was that this was on a very hot summer's day, and the air conditioning was not working - apparently they were expecting it to be fixed a day or two later. It was stifling in the rooms: I can't believe they expected anyone to sleep there. I would I would have expected them to contact me in advance about this, but they did not. Even worse, they didn't mention any problem at check-in, they just waited for us to come and ask how to adjust the temperature control in the room.

The receptionist was helpful in arranging for us to move to the Novotel, but I am very unimpressed that they did not warn us about this in advance and wasted our time and theirs checking us into this hotel.

Centrally located & the place to stay in Erlangen

This was my 5th stay at NH the last 8 years. As always I was pleased with everything. I had the two bedroom suite.
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The personnel was very friendly.
The only complaint is the size of the TV in the room. Tiny.. Watching EU soccer matches on that screen was a torcher.
Otherwise I enjoyed my stay fully. I will come back.

Nice Hotel with WiFi environment that never works

Since more than a year WiFi never properly works in this hotel !!!
Management obviously is not in a position to clear this up.
In a computer environment of today, Hotel-WiFi is a mandatory tool, not a luxury anymore.
International Business People need to conduct important internet work every day to meet company's/client's requests. Without Internet access, to be provided by the Hotel, business flow and immediate actions/reply's/contacts are terribly interrupted and hampered, leading to loss of business, confidence, trust, reliability and reputation for a businessman, staying at the hotel, towards customers and clients. This is a fact and is simply intolerable and unbearable. At this point, I cannot recommend this hotel to any businessman who has to conduct work via Internet.

I give a 4 rating because the room I thought I reserved which was an average size room was very small. In fact, too small for two people. The description on Expedia was not quite clear and there was no guarantee that we would receive what was requested (which was double beds). When we arrived we were given a very small room which contained two twin beds close together. We asked if we could get a larger room and was shown one which was $20 more and a suite which was $30 per day extra. The larger room was an average size room, still with two twin beds. Then we were shown the suite (also with twin beds); with separate office living space and a balcony. We opted for the suite and asked if we could have it for $20 more instead of $30. $20 more was agreed upon. This experience made me suspicious.

Clean and large rooms.
No in room coffee making facilities and you won't have any luck asking for it to be sent up. I tried this and was told that if I wanted hot water it would be available free of charge at 1am from the restaurant; I guess at that time because they aren't in the position to sell you a coffee.
Booked a double bed and got a two singles pushed together. Booked a no smoking room and got a room that was, while not marked \"No Smoking\" as others were, it clearly could be used as one. Located in an area that was surrounded by smokers.
I got the impression that unless you were a staff member of Siemens (who are located nearby) you really didn't count.

Terrible customer service experience

Showed up after a very long trip from Boston via Munich only to be told they did not have a room available for me. They offered to get me a room at the NH Nuremberg but this was not an acceptable alternative to me as it was not close to the hospital where I needed to work early the next morning. I was not notified of this before my arrival and I will not book this hotel again.

If it’s convinient...

NH Hotel Erlangen 2014-12-19/20

NH in Erlangen was not first NH I’ve been in and kind of had an idea of what to expect, turns out I underestimated in one thing, was dead on in most and very wrong in another.
First where I underestimated, location. NH in Erlangen isn’t just close to downtown, it’s literally just off the main street. Sure, that made parking a bit tricky, but the hotel had a garage and it was fine, cost about as much as one would expect.

Then to where my expectations were dead on.
Reception was friendly, clean and efficient, as was all other NH hotels I’ve been to.
Room was spacious, clean and well kept, just as all other NH hotels I’ve been to.
WiFi fast enoug, quiet (thick walls I recon) and comfortable beds.
Adding an extra bed for our 6yo was no hazzel and at no extra cost.

Then to where I was mistaken, breakfast. I don’t care how good the buffé is, when the price amounts to more than 50% of the room cost it’s too much for me. So no breakfast, and I can’t tell if it would have been worth it.

Will I go there again? If it’s convinient I probably would, won’t go out of my way to stay again thou.
Would I rekommend it? As above, if it’s convinient...

Nice hotel in Erlangen. Very clean and nice. All of the staff spoke excellent english. The buffet breakfast was very good. I also ate at the hotel restaurant, which was good, but a limited menu. It is located close to many shops and cafes. One note: Very few places in this town accept credit cards, only cash or debit cards.

Pros: Friendly staff, large rooms, central location (close to supermarket and bakery).

Cons:
1. Double bed was two single beds pushed together. No comfortable
2. Poor ventilation in room
3. No bedside power sockets
4. Limited internet , there are other hotels in Erlangen that provide free, unrestricted internet.
5. TVs are CRTs thus no HDMI devices can be used.

Leider begann der Aufenthalt damit, dass uns an der Rezeption mitgeteilt wurde, dass es von 9:00 bis 18:00 kein Wasser gäbe. Nach 18.00 mussten wir als Gäste dann durch längeres laufen lassen, selbst dafür sorgen, dass klares Wasser, statt brauner Brühe aus den Wasserhähnen kam. Dieses war wohl schon seit einigen Tagen so und laut Aushang wird es auch noch an den Tagen nach unserem Aufenthalt so gewesen sein.
Bei unserer Rückkehr von einem Tagesausflug mussten wir feststellen, dass das Zimmer nicht gereinigt wurde. Nach einigem suchen fanden wir dann einen Aushang im Fahrstuhl, den wir nicht weiter beachtet hatten, da wir an Werbung glaubten, mit dem den Hinweis, dass die Zimmer nur alle 4 Tage gereinigt werden. Weder bei einchecken noch durch einen Hinweis im Zimmer wurden wir darauf hingewiesen. Wir nahmen es mit Humor und dachten uns, ohne Wasser brauchen wir auch keine frischen Handtücher. Beim Auschecken brachten wir unsere Unzufriedenheit zum Ausdruck und erhielten die Auskunft, dass das mit dem Wasser leider nicht anders ginge, da man festgestellt hätte, dass die Leitungen schon längst veraltet sind.
Das einzige, was man positiv vermerken kann ist, dass die Dame an der Bar sehr freundlich und bemüht war.
Über das Frühstück können wir nichts sagen, das wir Auswärts gefrühstückt haben.
Für unsere nächste Reise nach Erlangen kommt das NH Hotel nicht mehr in Frage.
