This is a very old hotel and it’s quite a distance from town (Chapala). It’s clean, quaint and beautiful. For a quiet getaway, it’s perfect! The pool is old but functional. Staff is helpful and courteous. We stayed just the one night then moved to Chapala Plaza hotel in Chapala to be near the Malecon.

This hotel is not what is represented in the details given or in the photos on this website. Their 'standard room' was so extremely basic, that we were encouraged to upgrade to a better room and pay an additional $40 US per night -- outrageous! There was no WiFi, no business center, and no restaurant! In the upgrade they did give us a basic Mexican buffet breakfast in a room that was not at all like what is in the photos - it was in a un-kept room with folding tables, and it was not clean! Coffee was not available anywhere else, and not at any other time. Housekeeping in our room was minimal, and the Satellite TV service only offered a very few stations - not what you would expect for almost $100 US per night. The two swimming pools are joined together as shown in their photo - there is not a separate children's pool and an adult pool. And, ('free') parking is on the street.

This place was terrible we cant stay there the place was under construction we way more that an hour waiting for the shuttle that never was sending to pick us to the airport and we had to look for other hotel our trip was the most terrible expirience in this place

Hotel advertises that it has WiFi BUT DOES NOT HAVE WIFI. When confronted, the staff claims there is some kind of construction going on up there, pointing to the sky, and claim that there is no WiFi for the next X days. The number of days always happens to coincide with the number of days the client is staying there.
It is located too far from Ajijic and Chapala to conveniently attend appointments & whatever there. The highway is not in good condition. OK to travel in daytime but brutal at night as lane markings are faded and it is difficult to tell where the right edge of the highway is located. The highway traffic is a constant noise at the hotel.
The breakfast is good, substantial and reasonably priced.
Room cleanliness is perfect.
The pool is pleasant and clean. Not sure about availability of pool towels.
The hotel has seen better days and seems to be trying to survive on its past glories.
Security is good.
Room layout is awkward but cannot be changed as the beds sit atop poured concrete pedestals. They are double bed size, a bit small when the general standard in hotels these days is queen size.
There is no safe deposit box in the rooms.

They advertise about 20 TV channels, but have only 4 available. None in English.
As an international hospitality facility, more staff should learn a few basics in English, French, German, and whatever other frequent guest languages.

Overall it was a pleasant stay. I saw complaints on beds before our trip. They were on par with most beds through México (i.e. Oaxaca & Guanajuato) the rooms were clean and cozy.

The hotel does feature two swimming pools which were a delight to have because of the hot and muggy weather and stunning views of the mountain side.
I was also told there their hotel connects to a golf course that spans the length of 3 km. The greens looked good.

Horrible!
First of all the rooms look old . Bugs everywhere . Screens on the windows had holes . We asked to get a better room so they showed us a suite just payed the difference . It was brand new everything except a lot of big spiders and insects inside . Some dead and some moving around .. we had them clean it a bit the next day since we checked in on the evening . We tried to shower but no hot water . Turns out the water heater didn't work . They moved us to another room that was the same . Looked clean but when the night came it had so many mosquitos . By the last day we where there with out knowing my 4 and 6 year old found a used condom!!!! Who knows how long they where playing with it . When I started looking around and looked under the bed that wrapper was still there . This got us very upset I went and told the people working there and all they did was apologize. We checked out and definitely never coming back . Worst experience ever!

No hot water, No heat Built like a prison. The beds were liking sleeping on concrete. WE had to search for over an hour to find the place, and then they said they we didn't have reservations. We had to show them confirmation for them to let us stay overnight.

Había leído comentarios negativos sobre las instalaciones y déjenme compartir que para mi visita fue todo lo contrario. Las habitaciones remodeladas, limpias, bonitas y cómodas.
Ofrecen desayuno en la tarifa y muy rico, y ayuda mucho para poder estar más tiempo en el hotel. Los snacks que vende por la tarde como lonches y papas fritas, muy rico.

A pesar de leer las reseñas que tenia decidí darle una oportunidad, y fue muy grata mi sorpresa al ver que la habitación (Suite junior) era mejor que en fotos, no utilice las áreas comunes ya que mi estadía fue rápida pero noté que estaba en remodelación el hotel, y supongo que la habitación que me toco estaba recién remodelada, muy limpia, según mi experiencia si lo recomiendo.

Las imágenes que ofrecen desde la plataforma dejan mucho que desear con la realidad. El costo es demasiado alto para lo que ofrecen. No se lo recomiendo a nadie. Para el lugar y la oferta qué hay en Chapala hubiera esperado limpieza, confortable y acogedor. Al parecer no le dan mantenimiento al lugar es una pena. Que engañen de esa manera al público ya que uno va por unos días de descanso y relax y se encuentra con una habitación y un espacio poco propicio para tal objetivo. No lo recomiendo por nada

Las fotos que aparecen en el sitio no tienen nada que ver con la habitación que reservamos, el baño estaba asqueroso y con las puertas de madera pudriéndose, la habitación apestaba a humedad. Nos quejamos en la recepción y nos pasaron a una habitación mucho más parecida a la de su anuncio; sin embargo a la hora de hacer el checkout nos cobraron 200 pesos extra, al final pagamos 2800 pesos por dos noches en un hotel de pésima calidad, al final al momento de estar saliendo de la habitación a las 12:01 abrió la puerta la gente de la limpieza y sin esperar a que dejaramos la habitación comenzaron a mover todo como para presionarnos, esto apesar de que llamé 30 minutos antes avisando que saldríamos 5-10 minutos más tarde. En fin, terrible experiencia.

Hotel en malas condiciones
Hay que tener mucho cuidado al hacer la reservación: yo la realicé por una persona pero íbamos 2. Me cobraron casi $500 adicionales por la 2da persona.
El hotel es viejo, le realizan mantenimiento superficial. En la habitación no había aire acondicionado ni ventilador, tuve que pedir que me prestaran uno.
La alfombra está muy gastada y en mal estado, además, al pararme de la cama me encajé un clavo suelto en el pié.
Las áreas comunes tienen poco mobiliario como sillas o camastros para descansar.
Definitivamente, no es equivalente las condiciones y calidad que ofrecen a lo que cobran.
