It was an older single level motel but very well maintained and clean room was really nice and big, staff seemed nice.
Indrani
Good place to stop for the night on a long road trip
Erin
great parking right in front of my room. Great Tv. Otherwise pretty old school motel with simple amenities and helpful staff.
Rick
Older \"highway\" motel before interstate. Some improvements but mostly just older facilities. Good price compared to chain motels. Slept good. Breakfast very minimal.
Gerald
I like the breakfast of good yogurt and beautiful big oranges.
Edgar
Phone was unplugged, had to use my cell phone to call for Wi-Fi and PWD, should have been mentioned at check in. Very slow internet service. For the price, it was okay.
Irene
Thanks to the very cheerful and helpful staff member, Karuna who provided exceptional customer service, we were given a very comfortable room, yet again. This is a family owned motel. My husband and I have stayed here many times in the past year and a half. It is an older motel with the rooms a bit outdated, but very clean, sanitary and well appointed with comfortable furnishings, making it a real value for us traveling on a senior budget. A comfortable bed always with TV and internet. The rooms include a coffee maker with coffee and tea, soap samples, refrigerator and microwave. It is a clean and safe location. The air conditioner worked well for a warm days. Conveniently located near old town Yreka. We enjoyed the Thai restaurant. Our room #307 was quiet. We were able to park our truck right outside of our door, making unloading easy. A small continental free breakfast included in the price, This family owned business takes care of us every time. We will stay here again and again!

Parking and location are excellent. Easy check in and out. Spacious room and good amenities. Older property but we liked it.

Cute room. Good beds. The whole place needs a maintenance crew - bulb burnt out, bathroom door not installed correctly, would not close. Carport next to room was very convenient. Cheap hotel. get what you pay for! But all in all everyone happy including both chihuahuas!
Shreesha
Good place to stay in
Christopher
Air conditioner/heater was so noisy it was hard to sleep. Parking was fine. Someone in the room right next to us got in at 12:30 am and was slamming doors and making a lot of racket until 2:00 am. Needless to say, between the heater and neighbor we didn’t get much sleep.
Carol
The room was large and clean. It had the amenities (hair dryer, coffee maker, tissues at the vanity) that some hotel chains skimp on these days. The bed was comfortable (mattress supportive but not too firm), the heater worked well and the room was quiet. Good value for the money, I would stay again.
Karen
Not friendly, thanks for no breakfast, mold in shower, ridiculous place to stay, went to office for a cup of coffee, told me it’s in your room. Wanted more than one cup!
Antonio
It was a convenient cheap place to stay. The room was clean. Front desk was friendly.
Robert
It was great for a cheap stay. Room was clean. Not bad for the price.
Randal
Very old property with concrete or concrete block walls. It was cold in Yreka, around 24 F. overnight which meant the electric heater was cycling on and off all night and is quite loud! The bed was great. The property seems to have a long stay customer with a big noisy pick-up truck that he was working on late at night. Never again!
Nadine
When I checked in the small office one small corner held the breakfast nook. This is where you would get milk and cereal, and coffee and take it back to your room. Nowhere to sit in the building. Walked into our room and it was freezing, not even 60*. The room had a bad mold smell. The heater had sticky grime on it and blew dust out the vent. The chairs were grossly dirty and stained. The bathroom shower and the floor around the toilet had black mold. I have pictures of these areas. I was sickened by this unhealthy and disgusting room. I left and went to another hotel. I’m furious being that it is not refundable. If I could put zero stars I would. The county’s health board should close them down.
Cindy
Nice Room for the rate - clean and comfortable

Everything was great in the room.

Nice place to stay overnight
Cute place! Reminds me of a cabin on a lake. Comfortable, lots of amenities and nice people running the place. Pet friendly too.
Cory
So cheap for how nice of a place it is. High ceilings and the toilet was sealed with the paper strip, so I know it was clean. Lol. It’s the little things. Pool is beautiful and the people that run it are fantastic. I’ve stayed in way too many hotels over my life time, even lived in some so I know what I’m talking about. You’ll love this place. Highly recommended!
Deborah
Older facility but clean and convenient. Nice poor, clean parking lot , lovely pool. Minimum breakfast

Budget friendly hotel. Nothing fancy but that's on for us. We got two rooms and they were both super clean and that's all we wanted. The breakfast isn't much. I would plan on getting breakfast somewhere else. Staff was friendly. Parking is easy. No complaints.
Tim
Easy access off the highway
Chris
Good for the price.

This is a great budget place to take a rest after a long drive. Not fancy but have all essentials you need. The front desk staff is nice; the room is clean and spacious; plenty parking spaces, breakfast is simple but good enough for us to grab a piece of fruit, a piece of pastry and a cup of coffee before hitting on the road again. BTW, the room does have a microwave oven and fridge.
Joelle
A good spacious very clean room. Good fridge and microwave. Good bed.

I was expecting far worse, as I really only needed a bed and shower for the night, and picked the cheapest rate. This was actually a really nice gem! Clean and very well marked parking lot. Pool was looking good too. Staff came in promptly to greet me at check-in. I will stay there again. Thank you!!

The room was as expected. The bed was comfortable which was most important to us. Pet friendly for a small fee. Good deal for the price. Would stay again if in the area.

Ok for one late night check in
There were ants on my bedside table and the deadbolt wouldn’t lock.
Dennis
This is a classic example of a \"Motor Lodge\" from the 1950s. But the current owners have done a great job of keeping it fresh and kind of fun. I wouldnt say it is updated but rather well preserved. I felt the place was well suited to the rather retro feel of the town of Yreka. I liked it, especially for the price
Jeff
I liked the ambiance at some level, like it had a 50's motel one-story vibe...but the place was in need of a lot of work. and it was haphazardly brought up to occupancy standards. There's a homeless camp next to it with barking dogs, bbq smoke, and loud music. The continental breakfast is really just a fantasy. Also, they \"welcome\" dogs and cats but charge you to have them...which is fine if it was knowledge at the time of the on-line reservation. Also, got a weird vibe from the proprietors.
Claire
A small motel all on one floor. Room was clean comfortable and staff were friendly. Small pet fee, love to support un incorporated. Would defiantly go back

Inexpensive stay in Yreka
This is a good choice for an inexpensive stay, but don't expect a fine hotel. It's an older facility, so expect quirks. My room had unpainted spots and a nonworking outlet. I feel it was a good value though. The manager was a nice fellow.
Willie
This place was so amazing we stayed an extra night the beds are fabulous rooms super big and clean and price is affordable. . we got much needed rest and. Good night sleep before we hit the road to the next destination . I have been staying in hotels since August 2024 due to wildfires and this one is the most favorite friendly and will definitely stay here when on our way to and from California this will be a permanent resting stop on our route .. thank you so much for the pleasant stay in yrek at the relax Inn
Willie
This place is excellent and we love it
Amy
We were driving down I-5 and needed an inexpensive place to stay. I made sure that we could check in late (the site said we could check in until 3 am, we arrived before 11 pm), but it seemed like we woke up the front desk person. The place is a little run down and could use a remake, as it seemed like it stayed as-is since the '70s. There was also a lingering scent of cigarettes that kept me awake. The \"continental breakfast\" consisted of coffee, juice, some pre-packaged danishes and tiny muffins, and a couple of different cereals. We ended up getting breakfast from Starbucks down the street. Overall, it was ok for a night en route.
RAMESH
Nice , affordable stay very close to I5.

Low Budget Low Quality Low Comfort
It was Yreka CA. I needed a cheap place for a couple of nights. Says free breakfast. Cereal. and pastry.
It was winter. The room was so cold I had the heater up to 85 most of the time. The bathroom was so cold I could not take a shower.
The plug on the wall and the lamps were so old that my cell phone charge would not stay connected, even when I bent the plug prongs out.
The door was dragging on the carpet and hard to enter.
The wall AC/Heatrer filter was very dirty and I had to wash it off in the tub. That was the only reason I used the the tub/shower.
I definety should have paid a few dollars more to get a better place.
I definetly should have

Of the few working electrical outlets, all were unsafe. Plugs were loose in all of them making them a fire hazard. Deadbolt would not engage. Heater loud onand off all night kept us awake. Wifi worked. Breakfast non-existent. Didn't even see any coffee. Will stay somewhere else on the way home. Sorry. I don't usually badmouth motels but this one is bad.
Alvin

This a budget motel. No bells & whistles but for a night is was fine within a mile or so of restaurants & downtown historical area.

Disappointed stay
Not what I expected. The only one there. Seems to be a lot of long term stays . Very disappointed.
Fatih
The room was very smelly, probably because of all the dust that accumulated over the years. It was hard to breathe all night.
Phil
An inexpensive place to spend the night, clean, adequate, quiet, convenient location. No problems. Worked out well.
Andrew
Room was very clean. hot water didn't really get all that hot in the shower. the hot and cold lines where not hooked up properly. Bed was comfortable. price was right! very nice staff.
Danny partogi lumban
we arrived 2am they are helpful was speedy check in

Road traffic noise was not bad considering the freeway is directly behind the hotel. Outside of hotel has been received a lot of repairs recently, but the bathroom was in poor condition. Breakfast was actually only some snacks and coffee.
Gerard
It was what I was looking for, clean, simple and accommodating

I recently stayed at Relax Inn Motel and had a wonderful experience. The service was exceptionally friendly, with management and staff going out of their way to make me feel welcome. The room was incredibly clean and well-maintained, reflecting a high standard of care. I was impressed by the genuine warmth and hospitality of everyone at the motel, which made my stay truly enjoyable. I highly recommend Relax Inn Motel to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant place to stay.

Easy access and clean Breakfast could have been better
Lisa
It was a good place to stop for the night and the price was right. Skip the \"complimentary breakfast\". One old orange, 2 yogurts and sugary cereal do not a breakfast make!
Tim
The property was in good condition the rooms were clean and staff were very helpful.
Helen
Comfortable and secure
This is an inexpensive motel, not fancy, but I’ve stayed here before with biker friends. There is a pool out front, king bed, clean and has a garage beside the room! Talked to a housekeeper about safety for bikes. She said it’s been a long time since they had any incidents… and pointed at all the live feed cameras around the place. Has coffee and lite breakfast items in the lobby too.
Steve
very friendly staff and so clean
Vicki
Very clean. Very comfortable bed. Ver good service.
Karen
Excellent place to stay, front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.. We walked just a few blocks to OMG Burgers and it was amazing!!! Great room with comfortable bed and great shower!
Mark
The room was clean and comfortable.
It was 97 degrees outside when I arrived around 5 pm and the AC in the room was off. I turned the AC on and went to dinner. By the time I returned, the room temp was down to mid 70s, but it didn't really cool off until some time after I went to bed. The AC was also very noisy even with the fan on low.
The included breakfast was minimal.

Inexpensive pet friendly hotel. A little deep cleaning would go a long way. Bathroom door was filthy. Staff was friendly. Dead bolt did not work when we arrived. It was fixed the first night. I have never seen a light switch so close to the shower. Did not use the shower because it did not appear safe with the light switch about 4 inches outside the shower curtain.
Amy
Our room was very dirty.
Dick
Edges of carpet were dirty, bedspread was dirty with others’ hair on it. Threshold of doorway needed better repair. Door lock and card was difficult to get to work. Toilet very low. Poor lighting. One lamp could not be plugged. Insufficient light anywhere to read by.
Much room for improvement!!
Good grab bars to assist getting out of tub/shower.

Ehhhh...
The bathroom was outdated and had cracked tile, the TV sound was broken. Otherwise, its a decent place to sleep. Owner was constantly walking the premise. I believe there were actual residents versus guests.

Terrific Stay
Cynthia
Beware!! This place in disgusting!!
Hard time getting key card to work. Looked like the”breakfast” area was not really breakfast. More like fruit, granola bars and coffee.
The door handle coming loose from the door. The room was filthy. I did not bring my items in. Because of the bugs nests. The mirror was broken. A piece of wood on toilet to keep bathroom window locked. The dirt, dust, veromon sign was on everything including the drawers, refrigerator and microwave. The bedding looked like it had been on the dirty floor.
The hand prints on the bathroom door (both sides)
I didn’t stay over night. I was refunded my second night. But because I checked in - I was out my first night.
I’m waiting for my statement because I think the property recharged my card after agreeing with hotels.com to refund.
The room looked nothing like the pictures. Don’t rent at this place. Unless you want to take little crawling stow always home with you.

It was an OK place. looks a little haunted lol. They should change the lock. There’s a cute stray cat on the property.

Get what you pay for
Beds firm but comfortable. I was provided with soap and shampoo for two people, even though there is three in my reservation. Room is pretty dated. Bathroom is tiny. Bathroom door does not latch closed; must use sliding bar lock to keep it shut. No noise from neighbors because we didn’t have any neighbors on either side. Wall mounted A/C worked well.
Steven
Quick checkin. Friendly service. Clean room. Easy to find. Thank you!
