Positive: The manager was very welcoming, and the star of the room was the bed. It was extremely comfortable, and the room was quiet.

The hotel itself wasn’t bad. But it was impossible to sleep. Multiple dogs in multiple rooms were barking all night. And there was so much foot traffic down the hall. You could hear everyone come in and out of their rooms all night long. I’ve never had such an awful nights sleep at a hotel.

Staff at check-in was helpful. I had requested a room on the quiet side/away from the freeway, but the room assigned was on the freeway side. They quickly checked and found a different room on the parking lot side. Thank you! Unfortunately, the vent fan in the bathroom did not work! The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was typical and adequate. I stayed there for 9 days! Not once was the room serviced, the trash was never collected, towels never replaced!! I mentioned this to the front desk staff at check out: he commented that not that it is acceptable, but there was a recent change in management and front desk staff, and that evidently all the communication issues have not yet been ironed out! Nice to hear, but as he stated, not acceptable service.

Room was nowhere close to clean. We came back to the hotel around 12:00 a.m., and the lobby was closed. We were not informed about this at check-in. We called the number on the notice posted on the lobby door, but no one answered. As we walked around the property, we eventually found another entrance where we could use our room key to get in. It would have been helpful if this had been mentioned at check-in.

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The night time staff weren’t very friendly or professional in appearance.

The TV was a nightmare! Every few minutes a ROKU sales advertisement would pop up on the screen.

There were people cooking on a small grill behind the hotel and later were eating their food in the dining area. Not sure if they were staff or homeless but didn’t give us a good feeling. It looked like a homeless person sleeping in their car in the parking lot where we parked.

Overall we’ll never stop there again.

Front door was locked manager came from where the rooms was then was given a key to someone else’s room after manager stated ICE came through earlier and got people went in the room tv still on bags and water bottles still there then went to the car walked past a room with tweakers then in the morning a man approached my girl and said hello then stood there asking if we needed help walking things to the car and he wasn’t a worker no worker was in the lobby at all for more then 10+ minutes

check in went fine...the gal at the front desk was pleasant enough. She gave us a room on the second floor - there is no elevator, FYI. When we attempted to get in to our room, out key wouldn't work. There was a loud barking dog in the room next to us. She was able to move rooms when I requested a different, quieter room. She put us on the third floor. The room itself was acceptable...nothing fancy but fairly clean. However, the walls are THIN and there was loud people in the hallway at midnight. A man was snoring loudly in the room next door. I would never stay in this hotel by myself. Won't choose this hotel in the future.

The counter person had a boyfriend with a pit breed dog in th lobby barking at other dogs and when we arrived they were giving tattoos in the lobby. They meaning homeless vagrants. The place was loud all night with slamming doors and homeless bikes and shopping carts out back. Broken cars barely drive able. Just gross. The tv didn’t work. It was a night mare

When I entered the room, I almost lost consciousness.. such a terrible smell in the room that it was impossible to be there.. as if they had smoked there for a long time with the windows closed. Not a room, but a smoking room. I was staying with a child. A homeless woman was sitting at the entrance to the hotel. I liked the breakfast the most, it was wonderful. The staff is friendly. The location is good, but our windows overlooked the I-5 highway, so it was very noisy, but the room smelled so bad that it was impossible to close the window.

There’s no reason to stay in Yreka except you are on your way to somewhere “obscure”. It’s a small town of 7,500, but it’s still relatively a big town in the area. We were driving on our way to Reno. Initially we were planning to stay in Ashland, but found out we were arriving too early, and in trying to shorten our drive to Reno the next day, we stayed in Yreka which is 50 mins further down south. Hotel is unassuming; it looks worn down on the outside. It tries its best in a down beaten town like Yreka.
Best is that it has Raleys and Walmart a block away. Other than buying some food, we didn’t leave the hotel room. There’s nothing to do or see.
Advice: Stay a bit north in Ashland or bit south in Redding.

I reserved a room and communicated that I needed a first floor room or access to an elevator due to my 92 year old mother was not able to climb stairs. When we arrived I was told that there were no available rooms on the first floor. They had already filled them. They then said I could just take a second floor it I could be refunded. We left and could not find a room and had to drive 5 more hours that night. Horrible service

First and foremost, the hotel staff initially gave me and my wife a room that was already occupied. When we opened the door, we were immediately hit by the strong smell of food—something like a hot plate and rice cooker cooking Asian cuisine. It seemed less like a hotel room and more like a crash pad.

There was garbage piled in the corner, open cases of food, leftovers still in grocery bags, and stacks of single-use plates. Clothes were laid out on one of the beds. Strangely, the beds looked untouched or already made, and there was even a fully assembled baby crib. It was around 10:00 p.m., and we were understandably confused and concerned by the situation.

The front desk gave us another room, but when we got to the third floor, things didn’t improve. People were loudly socializing in the hallway with doors wide open—even though it was late. It felt like they had taken over the entire floor, talking and laughing well into the night without any regard for other guests.

Overall, the entire experience was unsettling and unprofessional. It didn’t feel like a safe or well-managed place to stay.

We had a late check in. Our room was on the 3rd floor and the property does not have an elevator which should be in the hotel description. We are 3 older females with mobility issues so this was a problem. The desk clerk was very helpful. There was a first floor room that had become available after someone had complained of a bad odor. She allowed to inspect the room and we found it acceptable enough to stay. However the bathroom floor needed to be cleaned and the carpet was overdo for a cleaning. Otherwise the room was acceptable for a one night stay.
