- Not sure whether my booking was entitled for breakfast or not. During checked-in i was told that include breakfast but our room was not in the list at the restaurant.
- Very near to Kayu Original Nasi Kandar (walking distance).
- Room is very big, spacious and clean. Suitable for family of 5 with children. Exceed my expectation.

Arrived at the hotel at about 5 pm and was attended to by Staff Rimon at the counter, he is exceptionally welcoming and therefore making my check in especially pleasant. As I had make the booking just a day ago and it seems that the booking has not reflected yet in the system, he kindly explained to me and assured me that it would not be an issue. Additionally as my return flight is pretty late, he also try to accommodate my request for late check out as well as a high floor unit. The hotel also had a shuttle bus that operates in the evening to the nearby Queensbay mall and Rimon as well kindly did a reservation for me to and fro just to make sure that I have a seat on the shuttle. From the hotel is about a 15 minutes drive on the shuttle to the mall :). Just outside the hotels, there are stretches and plenty of food places. My stay here has been exceptionally pleasant and felt very welcoming especially because of Rimon, it nice to see him at the counter with his alway wide and warm welcoming smile :)

The hotel booked is a family unit and is 94 sqm in size. It has a nice view of Penang island and that it has 2 bedrooms with 2 bathroom as well as a study room. It comes with also a balcony and also a living and dining area. Both of the bedrooms window have very good city view. We also managed to catch some fireworks on the night of the 28 June :). The decoration of the executive family suites is very modern and it really have the feel of home :).

We checked in at midnight after driving 8 hours from southern Malaysia, we were tired and appreciated the quick check in and friendly staff. Concierge man was quick and so nice! Breakfasts were good with nice variety of east and western cultures. Sidewalk restaurants were yummy for dinner and nearby. Reasonable price for laundry service by hotel that was expedited and delivered to room same day. Stayed here because close to Penang airport.

Review of Hotel Stay Nov 2022 by Singapore Family

Room was okie and comfortable until there was smoke smell in the room. It got so bad that on the 3rd day morning we were woke up by the smoke smell. It was obvious people are smoking in the room. Requested for a change of room and it was immediately changed. But near midnight, water started to pour from the ceiling room near the entrance of the walkway. Feedback was given to the reception who responded that they will send the maintenance which never turned up. The water poured from the false ceiling at the light bulb area and lafted for 30mins. It was a horrible stay despite the hotel service of the front desk staff was good. The hotel breakfast was decent as well.

AC hotel by Marriot Penang review

We booked a one night stay at the 2 bedroom suite. There was no lift from the basement carpark to the hotel lobby. We had to drive up to lobby to take out our luggage, and go back down again to park our car.

The suite was located at another building wing. From the lobby, had to take the lift to 2nd floor, walked to the other building, go through a very narrow eerie walkway to the lift and go up to our room. The old suite building wing was vastly different from the modern hotel wing.

The room suite itself was quite rundown. Furniture was old. No shower screen in the common toilet.

The room overlooked a golf course which was nice. 2 min drive to Komplex Bukit Jambul which has Mydin and some eateries, and about 10 min drive to airport

It's an okay hotel nothing great about it the room is spacious the bed is comfy but the linen have a lot of stains they looked clean but visible stains the curtains were not hanged properly some of the hooks in the shears were missing and they've just left like that hanging doesn't look neat at all.The breakfast was adequate and good value !.The facts is lower than the Marriott International standard !
The staff are nice and polite very helpful overall is an okay hotel of three stars !.Definitely not Marriott standards they need to try harder inorder to reach the standard.

The view is great from my room (1310).
Wifi is very bad in the room. Reported it 3 or 4 times to 3 different employees through my 4 nights stay, however the response I get is the same”I have to talk to my manager” with no action following. The fridge wasn’t cleared “there was leftover drinks” when I checked in which means no one cleaned it as well.
Once when I was complaining against the wifi, I asked for room making up and towels changing but when I came back at night found out that no one came and I had to call them at 10 pm to have them come and do it.
Definitely will think twice before going there again.

The hotel is modern, nice carpeted rooms, comfortable and spacious king size bed. The wardrobe sliding door was damaged, toilet was clean and functioned well. Breakfast spread was limited, but enough. Also for kids <12 they charged RM 15 which is really cheap. They had 3 coffee making machines which were superb. Overall, it was a great stay, swimming pool was a bit small but it was fine, would certainly come again next time.

Other issues are all ok except for first day of stay the room was not done when I returned from a trip outside the city. Was informed by the housekeeping that all rooms would be done by 1600hrs which is not favourable at all. You want to see your room tidy and the bathroom is already organised once you come back to rest.

Booked a Executive Studio room in Mar 2022. Check-in is seamless and the hotel is kind enough to extend my check-out time until 4pm because of wedding arrangements. Najwa Nordin personally bring us to the room after check-in as suite-type rooms accessibility is not as straight forward as hotel room. Generally, the best impression about the hotel is the staff and they have been professional, friendly, and helpful during our stay. Some of the rooms are renovated as AC Marriott just acquired the hotel. The downside is the basement car park as it was a little bit dark and the ramp to the basement car park is narrow.

Come experience Omotenashi in Penang, Malaysia

The service level can only be best described by the Japanese word...omotenashi .
We felt truly welcomed & was given the best of what is possible by the hotel to make us feel delighted...not just happy .

The superb view of the golf course from our room is also another reason for us to come back again to this hotel

I always patronised Vistana/AC Hotel. Good experience but phone operator is a bit rude. If I’m not mistaken, her name is Thana. I requested for extension of check out time, and Thana told me with an unfriendly voice “Strictly 12pm”. There is no issues all these while for extension of checking out. Understood that extension of checking out is at discretion and availability of the hotel, but it supposed to be communicated politely.
