1. Rooms -- Our room faced the Jalan Alor Food Street but it was surprisingly very quiet. Soundproofing must be good. We were however not impressed with the poor room state when we arrived at night – the kettle and glass water jug still had water in them from the previous guest, the soap bottle was empty, and the shower wasn't properly cleaned. The shower flooded after 1 use and we had to soak our feet in dirty water from the drains. I would expect better from the Accor brand. We had to wait until the next day for the drain to be cleaned which wasn't ideal. After we submitted the complaint to the front desk, the issues were addressed the following day which put us more at ease.
2. Location -- Location is good and bad – the hotel is on the same street as Jalan Alor Food Street, which makes it almost impossible for taxis to drop us off right at the front of the property. Even walking back to the hotel in the evening can be a mission with food stall shopkeepers calling out and trying to get you into their restaurants. It's good in that you have quick access to a lot of food options but bad in that hotel accessibility is compromised for both cars and walking on foot.
3. Food/drinks -- Filtered water station is available on the room floor.
4. Hotel amenities -- I was also shocked that Ibis doesn't provide a hair dryer for each room – we were told we would need to borrow one and return it to the front desk after each use as they had a limited number available.

No the breakfast was terrible. Little options and many inedible stale offerings. The croissants must have been at least 6 days old— just crazy. No fresh tea. No teabags available despite my request— just appalling tea out of a machine that was not drinkable. Only on one day was one fresh fruit offering available. Just a waste of money.

3. There was no bottled water in the room.
4. There was no shaving kit.
5. It was noisy till late at night.
6. Staff could be more helpful.
7. There were flies buzzing around the breakfast buffet. The food was not covered at all times so this presents a hygiene issue.

Don't let the exterior of the building and common areas fool you. The room is as good as any North American average hotel room. Parking can be a pain due to the location right off the busiest park of Jalan Alor.

For the convenient location, the clean and maintained room, and the friendly staff, this hotel is a great value.

The room was very run-down. The bathroom, in particular, was not clean; it felt very grimy. The towels were not clean. The floor (hardwood) was dirty. We kept having to ask for toilet paper. The TV had a bad reception for local channels and offered no streaming services. Good location for food, if you're after street food from Jalan Alor, otherwise-- stay elsewhere.

A Lor is an excellent location with lots of eating options. Staff are very friendly, room was very clean. The only down turn was, there’s no tooth brush and body lotion provided as the hotel advertise “free toiletries”, we needed to call the housekeeping and we only got it once on the first day that we requested it, provided we stayed there for 3 days.

Great location in the middle of a huge strip of wonderful street food vendors, as well as public transportation. Hearing from within the room (fairly mellow) buskers singing to the outdoor diners late into the night got a bit annoying, and the place could use a makeover, but all-in-all an excellent value for the money.

i stayed in room 703.

off the bat there were small signs that made me regret trying this hotel (just because it was relatively new)

the door to the bath room was flimsy and already spoilt at the door handle area, the door could close but it looked like it would fall apart any moment.

the bath room was a good size but fittings were looking abit worn considering its bare 2-3 years old?

and the ceiling above the shower was leaking water and there's a huge wet patch with mold, that was abit of a turn off for me but it was not a deal breaker for me.

the room is a good size for the price, not a lot of channels for viewing on the TV but its okay for me.

as my room was next to the lift, the soundproofing left a lot to be desired as i could hear people coming and going at all hours of the day. and the lift doors have some left over tape or material that drags and makes a really loud sounds when it closes, so the hotel staff may want to have a look at that.

on weekends you can hear the hustle and bustle of Jalan Alor's dining stalls and buskers as well.

my pillows were not clean, but the good thing is they were nice and firm. i didnt want to create a fuss as i was just staying there for 2 nights so i used a shirt over the pillows and that did the job for me.

the bed was okay, weird sort of foam that was not consistent in form throughout but does the job, i could still sleep every night.

again though, the plus was the price and the location of the hotel, that's about it for me

The hotel is very amazing. Their room is so clean. The staffs are very nice and very helpful. The security is also very good cause you must place your card to card reader in lift so you can get to your floor. The minus just the view, it's only to buildings and Jalan Alor.

At this rate cant complain much as the Hotel is pretty \"New\" but sad to see the maintenance need a lot of improvements.The Room itself generally is acceptable but the Toilet as mentioned by other reviews especially the Shower drainage is horrible. It gets Flooded after u had a bath. The toilet bowl is yellowish, it seemed not scrub at all. The drainage is choked. The maintenance of the Hotel if left unattended, it will soon be gone very soon considering this is a \"New\" hotel. Please keep the maintenance up to ensure comfortable stay. The best part is the food street is jz at the hotel entrance, the down side is , if you drive you have cant get into the main hotel lobby in the evening when the food street starts. Especially those who drive, u need to enter by another small back lane to get into the car park. Kindly do call up the Hotel when you need to use the Car Park, than they will open the Door to enter the car park. Do not expect too much on The breakfast, but please do not serve Cold food when it is supposed to be Hot. Hope they do consider all reviews seriously.

Room was clean with ample space. Check in and check out was a breeze. We got upgraded to a room with a balcony which was always nice. But the downside of the room with the balcony was that it faces Jalan Alor so you can hear the happenings in the street so if you are a light sleeper, there may be some problem. We didn't have any issues. Bed was super comfortable. Would definitely go back again.

We were on the 13th floor, great city view! Spacious room, clean with all the necessary amenities. Lots of hot water and a good shower flow. Very well located, walking distance to monorail, bus and metro plus several tourist attractions.
The morning buffet is good but if you stay for several days, it can get borring as there are few choices and it never varies.
Becouse the hotel is located on the food street, it is wonderful to choose a place to eat but it is difficult for taxis to get to the hotel at night. That food street is really lively at night and so is the bar street just a few blocs away. There are so many many many places to eat! The big shopping malls are also walking distance.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
There is a washing dryinng machine for sekfservice, great to wash all your clothes. As well as a convinient gym, to burn all the food you eat!

Great mid-range hotel in an awesome location

The hotel is in a great location, situated at the end of Jalan Alor (food street/night market), about 5-minute walk from Berjaya Times Square (and Monorail), 8-minute walk to all the malls at Bukit Bintang (and subway), and 20-minute walk to KLCC.

The hotel building is modern and the rooms are adequately spacious. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. They have security at the door, and the elevators are operated by key card (and only to your floor). A room safe is provided, as well as a mini-fridge, tea/coffee, and 2 bottles of water. The furnishing was simple and neutral, and TV channels included DIsney and Fox Movies. The room was kept very clean and my only complaint was that the bed was very firm, but it seems to be the case with many Asian hotels I've stayed in. Wi-Fi was ok.

Breakfast buffet was included, which was convenient, but the selection was slightly disappointing (with all the great food in Malaysia), and identical items (except the soup) were served everyday during my 4-day stay.

There were just a couple of very minor service issues during my stay - (1) my room was not stocked with wash cloth or bath mat when I checked in, but the issue was rectified by the room service staff the next day without my asking, (2) the breakfast area was very crowded at 9 am and staff was struggling to keep up.

Overall, it was a great stay, and I'd definitely go back there again!
