The place was warm and comfortable. Is very clean. The staff very happy and friendly. It was convenient to many ski resorts. Close to a variety of restaurants. Provided a simple good breakfast. I appreciated the variety of hot tea available. The combinations were comfortable and clean. If you are looking for a posh Resort this is not it. However if you're looking for a comfortable clean place to stay with an inviting atmosphere this is the one for you.

George mountain inn is a good place to stay. They provide enough things to entertain my kids. They have heated swimming pools, good breakfast option that my kids would enjoy, Also, many board games option. When we arrive it was first day of snow, our room felt warm in the middle of high wind and snow. We wanted to stay 2 more nights. Unfortunately, there was a day of power outage so the owner offered us a refund and move to other place. Thanks for the kind offer. We will definitely return to Georgetown inn.

Property getting a little dated but the rooms were nice and clean, though darker side not very bright. The mattress was ok, the toilet and shower a bit dated as well. Breakfast was basic with no hot options though glad they provided boiled eggs, pretty much the only low carb keto option.

The front desk girl was so nice and helpful steered us to restaurants and events and what was happening around the town that night and she was right on with everything. Then all the antiques in the room and supper clean old my god real key entry being in our 60’s we absolutely loved this place brought back so many memories my god what a awesome amazing place to start the Christmas season train trip to add to the experience we will be back with the family and will stay here without hesitation.

The hotel staff was super! Hot tub nice and hot, pool fun for the kids. Room had good potential, but I just couldn’t get over the carpet-old, dirty, rough, did I say dirty. We stayed in an upgraded log room. Probably won’t stay again because I just can’t feel comfortable when I don’t want to touch the floor.

Our stay was okay. Given other reviews (which incidentally led to staying here), I was just expecting…more. The room was fine and clean, but the headboard was awkward and the room relatively small for the price. The property is showing its age, and not in a good rustic or even old-fashioned way, just old and in need of an update.

Quiet and Cozy Stay, but Breakfast Disappointing

Quiet and cozy hotel with a clean room, comfortable bed, and a nice location for walking into town. The only downside was the very limited free breakfast, which felt underwhelming for the price. Options included coffee, milk, cereal, bagels, and toast—but only Philadelphia cream cheese or boiled eggs as accompaniments. I wasn’t quite sure what I was supposed to pair the toast with, and without sitting tables.

My family and I were hiking Gray’s Peak early in the morning and wanted to stay in a nearby hotel/motel the night before and found the Georgetown Mountain Inn online.

Check in was a breeze and Amber was not only pleasant and informative, but even provided a water kettle and a selection from their included breakfast for us to take that night as we were leaving early in the am.

The lobby was charming with a beautiful stone fireplace, the rooms had wood paneling and wood log furniture. (Their “Log Room”) The rooms were a bit dated but the beds were comfortable and clean (as were the towels). Our room (2 queens each) had a microwave and refrigerator and plenty of outlets for our devices. The water pressure for my shower was very good but the temperature could have been a bit hotter. The price was very reasonable (about half of Microtel down the street).

It’s very close to the quaint town and we had dinner at Cooper’s on the Creek (great burgers and cocktails/extensive draft beer selection!)

If you want a convenient, charming stay with excellent service that doesn’t break the bank, I highly recommend the Georgetown Mountain Inn!

My Mom's 90th birthday getaway. Long overdue. Take some time to look around. Gorgeous mountain views. Caring staff. Tiny humming birds. Laid back easy. Dated rooms, yes but that's part of the experience. Like staying at the family cabin. We didn't want to leave.

This was a last minute booking. One thing to be aware of is that there is no air conditioning…only windows and a fan. This turned out being fine for us but could easily have been too hot as we were not going to leave the windows open over night being two women traveling alone. The carpet could stand to be professionally cleaned and the hot tub jets weren’t working.

BUT this was a very economical stay, the Alpine Restaurant/Bar next door has phenomenal pizza and the staff at the hotel is very friendly. Everything is clean, the area felt safe and over all it was perfectly fine. We would stay again.

We enjoyed staying here for 4 nights! Our kids loved the pool and hot tub, as well as the HUGE playground just a block away. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and Georgetown has a lot to offer in addition to the train ride. The restaurant next to the hotel has great pizza and salads!

This is such a far cry from the modern production line hotels/motels and it is awesome! It is clean, quiet, comfortable, and very rustic. We were there for the train ride and this fit that theme perfectly.
I would like to have had a coffee maker in the room, but I managed without one. The owners were really cool and very helpful. I would definitely stay there again!

The Georgetown Mountain Inn aptly fits its name--an inn (not some cookie-cutter built mediocre motel)--that exudes charm and nostalgia. The solid pine walls, rustic solid pine furniture, and the simple decorating are charming and cozy. To top it off--the cleanliness is exceptional. This is our accommodations of choice whenever we visit this neck of the woods!

You get more than what you pay for.

For the price and location this is a fantastic deal if you need a place East of the tunnel, but close to the continental divide.
Pros - clean, comfortable bed, decent continental breakfast at a low price for folks on a budget. The Staff were very nice and accommodating.
Con - it’s older decor (no biggie) with some worn down fixtures. For example out bath tub had a slow drain and the sink faucet either dribbled or was a fire hydrant.

Georgetown is a nice, small town with a number of good shops and restaurants. But during offseason many are closed.

I love the location and don’t mind the motel vibe. I’ll for sure stay again. For the price, I think it’s a good deal.
