Saint Mary's Glacier less than 5 minutes drive away. Small things is that's it's not close to any restaurant or grocery stores, they are about 25 minutes away. Rooms are extremely clean and beds extremely comfortable.

We had an amazing stay at The Silver Lake Lodge. The owners are super sweet and cannot do enough for you. I have to say that it was the cleanest place that I have ever stayed. The beds are so comfortable and the breakfast was amazing! The views are spectacular and within a 15 minute walk to the trailhead to St. Mary’s Glacier. I will definitely stay again but next time will book more than 1 night!

Loved staying here for a night and blown away by the hospitality of the hosts Andrew and Margaret. They treat their guests like family. Everything felt so cozy and homely. The views of the St Mary’s Glacier from the second floor deck is stunning. This lodge is very quiet and you will feel as if you have the entire lodge to yourself. The highlight was the breakfast next day morning which was made fresh and totally homemade recipe. Will definitely be back staying here again.

Terrible experience!! We booked this lodge because it showed it was only 8 miles from where we were, and was the only available room. After driving for an hour and thinking we were lost, finally got someone to answer the phone. We arrived to a locked facility causing us to have to repeatedly knock, only to have a rude manager open the door and tell us to go away. He refused our room stating it was a problem with Expedia. He was incredibly unprofessional. He refused to work with us, and kept stating, “This is YOUR problem.” It was the middle of the night and after driving an hour because of false advertising on the ad, just wanted a place to sleep. When asked about the ad saying it was 8 miles away, the rude man said, “as the crow flies????”

The staff couldn’t even get their front door to open when we got there. We asked if there’s any food or drink and they offered a $180 couples dinner. This place is in the middle of no where, costs the same as a decent hotel, and is more disgusting than a motel 6. Please book ANYWHERE else. This place reminded us of some sort or horror movie. Not being dramatic. I dare you to ski all day, and show up here after paying $300 for the booking. Expedia needs to audit this place and ask themselves “is this booking reflective of the quality of our brand?”

Absolutely Fabulous B&B Experience.
Best B&B experience in a long time! Andrew and Margaret are excellent hosts, and amazingly welcoming to visitors in their lodge. This lodge sits at 10,500ft above sea level, and you definitely want AWD/4WD in winter. Absolutely stunning area and scenery. We were there in a blizzard, and there was lots to do inside when the weather isn’t cooperating. The breakfast is top notch, there are loads of small niceties, its extremely clean, and I can’t imagine a better B&B experience. Thank you Andrew and Margaret for sharing your lodge with us!

Overall very quiet and peaceful for context we went for our “mini moon” just to unwind after the wedding and you can hear everything… so wasn’t as private as we would have liked. You could see some things needed updating or dusted found a few dead bugs here and there. Breakfast was good but not a great coffee/ hot cocoa bar you can tell they don’t really keep an eye on stuff if it’s getting low or stale. Dinner for two for us was super pricey his wife is the cook which I sure she is great but not for $189. Would recommend as a chill hang out but not a lot going on if you love to hike it’s a great location for that wish it was a bit closer to town but we enjoyed our stay overall.

Spent a few nights here and it was lovely. The hosts were incredibly kind and made delicious food. We got breakfast every morning and every time we couldn’t believe how good it all was! The dinner we had on our last night there was equally as amazing.

Access to local hiking trails and the historic village of Idaho Springs is quite convenient. The meals of breakfast and dinner are excellent! Beautiful property and Mountain View. Elevation 10,500ft and drive up / down the mountain roads was challenging. Snowed all nights we were there. Definitely plan to have an AWD. Ski areas were 30min to an hour away. Property rooms were lovely, host/hostess were accommodating, friendly, and informative. Breakfast time is 09:00 which is very late if you have plans for the day. Great trip.

What a LOVELY cabin! The rooms were all beautiful and the one we stayed in even had a private sitting room and balcony where we got to watch the birds and squirrels. The host cooked a delicious multi-course breakfast the next morning. It was the perfect setting for an R R trip and we can’t wait to go back!

The spacious 2 floors have 1,825 square feet of living space. The great room occupies most of the top floor of this 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom unit.
The entryway is slate-tiled and leads to a carpeted dining and living area with gas fireplace, TV, VCR, DVD player and a Bose sound system. Access to the covered upper deck is from the living space and comes with a gas BBQ grill.
The kitchen is replete with hardwood floor, granite counter-tops and stainless steel appliances. A bathroom with shower is located on this floor.
The downstairs of the unit features all three bedrooms. The spacious master bedroom comprised a queen-size bed, TV, gas fireplace, master bathroom with jetted tub, separate shower and access to the lower patio with private outdoor hot tub.
The second bedroom has two twins plus a TV and a VCR. The third bedroom has a queen-size bed.
Completing the downstairs floor plan is a full size bathroom and laundry room with washer and dryer. Ponderosa also comes with heated underground parking for one vehicle per unit, with additional space for visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.
