Hallway had a funky smell. Blowdryer and TV didn't work until someone came to fix the TV but never got to use the blowdryer. Asked the front desk for spoons and waited 10 minutes until we eventually left. I asked the bar for spoons and two glasses, the first glass they gave me had a ton of sunflower seeds in it, and I only got one spoon. Elevator sounded like it was about to break.
Employees we're nice and meant well but overall not a great experience.

Ehhhhh. Great location, rooms are good sized and mine was clean and comfy. But, overall the property needs some TLC. Lots of overdue maintenance and it looked like the lobby floor hadn't been cleaned since the start of ski season. Employees were nice. Didn't use the jacuzzi as other guest told me it was gross. I had read that in other reviews as well. Bummer as after a long ski day, a good hot tub is worth it's weight in gold. I would stay there again as the price and location were great, but just have the proper expectations.

The shower didn't work. It was a drop down handle shower that was broken and spraying all over. I had to leave my room at 6am because of work, so there was no time to resolve things. Not too happy. I will not go back for the price.

Staff was extremely polite. It’s directly opposite of the winter park resort lodges. But the rate was good considering it was last minute. Property is older and a little confusing past the pool area. There is a pool table and kids entertainment area but needs a little love to bring it back to good quality. Shuttle to slope was helpful. Our shower curtain rod broke. Wasn’t a bad experience. Wish the restaurant was open during our stay.

Property is very run down and did not represent online pictures.
There is only one luggage cart for the entire facility and no help with bags.
Mold/mildew in bathrooms. Housekeeping may or may not show up. Hot tubs were open but very disappointing. Only about 20 TV channels and TVs (not smart) are too small for the rooms. You get what you pay for I suppose. Manager was nice.

The property was good for what we needed, which was an overnight near the Winter Park Resort. The property is dated and does not have an included breakfast. The spa and the pool were nice to have, but weren't very modern. The sauna and exercise room (which appeared to only have 2 stationary bikes in it) were both locked the entire time we were there, so I'm not sure they are functional. Didn't eat at the restaurant, but did get a beer there and found the service and prices to be excellent. The property is frustratingly close to the WP Resort, but across the highway. There's no good/safe way to get from the hotel to the slopes without a car or waiting on the bus, so keep that in mind if you like to keep your own schedule. All in all, we would stay again, as it was comfortable enough, but its not luxorious.

Good ski stay.

Across the highway from the actual ski resort base, 10 min shuttle ride there, 5 min back well run and free.
Hotel is a little long in the tooth, exterior looks great interior needs some tlc especially the hot tubs need updating.
Room: nice, fireplace, view of the ski hill, king bed great mattress but a lot could be updated especially the carpeting.

All of the staff was extremely nice and very helpful! There were a few things with the room when we checked in regarding the cleanliness, but we didn’t complain.
Also, not their fault, but I wish the shuttle came around more often.

Plusses for this property...location is great...right across the street from Winter Park Village and Gondola, rooms were basic but clean, shower was hot with pressure, a great bar on site. There's a restaurant too that we heard was good. The non plusses...very dated...think Hot Tub time machine...only one elevator worked, even though it's close to the mountain you have to take the shuttle, you can't walk across HWY 40. If you are staying for a night or two a good inexpensive spot. if you want lavish, this is not the place for you

The room smelled like pot, the barhroom smelled like urine and after looking around it seems it was probably the very old shower curtain. The curtains were very old and had holes in them throughout letting light in. The parking lot was not maintained in order for people to get in and out. All of the other places were clearing their parking lot the customers there were having to be pulled out and towed, etc.. the last two days we were there. They started trying to take care of the parking lot, but still was not doing a good job buses could barely get in and out of there much less the patrons.
We have stayed here before a few years ago and it was much better. The staff was very rude and frustrated with everyone complaining about things. I’m sure. There seem to be no one there from management to help out. Therefore, the staff was very frustrated and overwhelmed with the problems occurring

I originally booked a room for three nights. Feb. 21-24. Two weeks prior to arriving I called the hotel and canceled the third night. The front desk told me he was able to take care of this. After my stay I was charged for 3 nights and Expedia is telling me the hotel is refusing to authorize a refund for the third night which I cancelled. On top of this, the hotel is overpriced and very dated. The room was dirty with the carpet coming up and mold in the bathtub. I would not recommend.

Outdated and kind of run down but close to resort

The pictures are misleading. The place is outdated and a bit run down. All the previous reviews comment on the ice cold pool. I guess they read the reviews because it was hotter than the hot tubs during our stay. The hot tubs were hot but the pool was hotter. The kids game room was a disaster but our kids thought it was awesome. The “to go breakfast” was limited and kind of pricey for the quality. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but that seemed limited and pricey as well. Super close to the resort and great transportation options. Beds were comfortable and were all hot sleepers so the blankets worked for us but they were thin. If you just need a place to stay that’s close, it works but go in with low expectations.

The restaurant was pricey and food was pretty bad. One major plus when booking was pool and hot tub, turns out they were out of service. On the positive side is the location.

Stayed there 3 nights with the family for a ski trip. Really run down hotel. The front desk didn’t mention anything about not having room service each day so I just assumed they would come while we were skiing. Came back first day, nothing cleaned and no fresh towels. I asked them to come clean the room the next day and they said they would. After we got back the 2nd day still nothing done in our room. So we went the whole 3 days with no fresh towels or trash taken out. They had coffee downstairs for free but both times I went to get some they were out. No bottle water for sale but they do have a few other small items.

Close proximity to skiing but not a poorly run place overall; our sink didn’t work and it took hours for a maintenance person to arrive but still couldn’t fix it; kids game room was a complete wreck and a few unsafe things there for families to be careful about, they charge extra for “Mountain View” rooms but those are on the highway so much noisier, hot tub remained out of service for our entire weekend, no compensation or future discounting offered, which is standard. We’ll never stay there again.

I've stayed here in the past and it's consistently just ok. I come back occasionally because the price is right. I never have high expectations because of the price, but this time the experience was particularly poor. The front desk wasn't very friendly and I felt like I was inconveniencing him. When I checked in I was informed the pool was closed for repairs and the restaurant wasn't open either. I was hoping to get dinner there so this was disappointing.The TV in the room didn't have a remote and they did bring one, but it didn't work. The gentlemen that brought it sayed he'd find another one and be back, but I never saw him again. I half expected him to do this based on his demeanor. I'm not sure I'll be willing to stay here again after this. I don't think it's worth it, even if it was a low price.

The reception staff was not available, on multiple occasions, we called and there was no answer. We went to the lobby and no one was tending to the area. The room service would not vacuum the room, nor clean the counters, they also failed to leave tissues. The fireplace didn't work, and after multiple attempts talking to the manager, she stated there was nothing she could do and she would have to obtain higher approval for any adjustments to the bill, and she didn't know how long that would take. She stated the technician stated it was just a pilot and I placed a work order every day because I was given different excuses for the fireplace not working. Overall, the hotel experience was awful. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The property has not been kept up over many years and is not clean. The door to our hotel room didn't lock. The ventilation in the room didn't work. Breakfast opened 10 minutes late. A picture on the wall fell on my child's head during breakfast. When I went to tell the front desk about it they didn't speak English. I would not stay there again.

Our room was fine. Nothing fancy. We were there for a hockey tournament so had other families also staying at the same hotel. They however did not have a great experience. Rooms were dirty and things were broken. One family had to drive home because their room was no longer available despite making. reservation. The evening we checked in the staff was fantastic. However the next day, the staff who was working the front desk had no idea what they were doing. I would stay here again but it wouldn't be my first choice.

This place was terrible. Advertised two hot tubs! Both were cold. Their phone number is still down for the property, the one that’s listed on their actual website, Expedia and Google listings. No one responded to either of the two emails listed on the company’s website. The building was in bad shape. Holes and dents in the walls everywhere, hair in the only drinking fountain on site, musty smell in all halls and waiting rooms. Extremely noisy. You could hear someone walk from one end of the hall all the way to your door and past. You could hear everyone’s conversations in the halls from your room. The restaurant in the building had an unattractive menu. It took them forty minutes to bring a slice of apple pie. The shower head had to have been at least twenty years old. It didn’t have a comfortable spray to it and could not be adjusted at all. I can’t believe they charge what they do for such a poor place. It was worse than a motel.

If youre going with a pet, say its a service dog or get $35 extra a night (not horribly unfair just not mentioned in hotels.com bookings)

Also eat on the mountain or in town, the in house is very limited and on the same price scale as a on mountain place.

If you do bring a pet, please respect the snowmobile trails out back as they run 9-5ish and theres a blind turn you dont want to be on the wrong end of a collision with your pet. They seem like a great place to walk pookie hence my warning.

Many hotels in the area offer breakfast, you have to pay for breakfast here. Town shuttle is nice but it goes into town before goes back to resort.

Website stated pool and hot tub open. I booked this hotel because my husband wanted a hot tub after skiing. It was closed his whole stay. Also no breakfast or bar was open during stay. Emailed manager and she didn’t care. Took pictures of website showing all facilities were open. Manager didn’t seem to care. Asked for discount since amenities were all closed. I was told no. My husband ended up leaving a day early. I asked for refund for last night again the answer was No! Will not stay at this hotel again.

Very nice from the outside. However, it is clear that the owners are extracting every penny of money out of this property and investing absolutely nothing into basic maintenance.

Good: Staff was nice, linen was clean, hot water was hot. That's about the extent of it.

The bad points:
•One of two of the elevators was disabled
•The pool and hot tub were closed “for maintenance”
•Table in the hallway by the elevator was clearly broken
•Walls had been patched and repainted without even trying to make it look professional
•Heater / AC unit was mounted on the wall 8 inches from the bed and literally blew air directly on the bed all night. I fixed this by removing the filters out of the unit and wedged them inside the unit so it directed the air towards the ceiling.
•One of the lamps was non functional in the room and was missing the switch
•The TV was broken
•Several outlets in the room were non-functional, therefore my phone and computer did not charge overnight
•The ceiling in the bathroom had been poorly patched and it looked like a child had done it
•The bathroom light was missing a bulb and no light cover
•Tiles in the bathroom had fallen off the wall and was lying on the floor
• The beds did not have blankets only a bottom sheet and two top sheets. There was one blanket in the closet, so I gave it to my son and I curled up in a fetal position like a gerbil and and pulled the two sheets over myself to keep warm
It was really sad.

Very convenient for access to Winter Park with a convenient shuttle service offered at no charge.
Unfortunately the property has maintenance and upkeep issues. For example, light bulbs burned out in critical areas of the room, hair dryer not working, sauna not working.
Will not stay here again and will not use Expedia again.

Getting coffee was impossible (always out). The folks working there wanted to be in their phones more than work. We had a wookie come in and shampoo/bathe in the hot tub across from us. No on had filled the hot tubs in forever, jets did not work, and the pool was an ice bath.

Don't bother booking. As mentioned in prior reviews, this place has so much potential but falls flat due to disrepair and lack of management.
This is most evident in the hot tub situation. The two tubs are disgusting, surrounded by a broken down wood structure, and full of grime and are lukewarm at best. We asked the front desk who told us they were just \"warming up\" but after reading other reviews it's clear they haven't been warm in weeks. Probably for the best because we spotted not one but three bandaids in/around the hot tubs, clearly no one has cleaned them in weeks.
The rooms are adequate but also in disrepair. Our lamp shades were broken and the light above the sink had a paper covering because the original glass/plastic had clearly broken years ago.
Also the restaurant was closed during our stay and the \"complimentary breakfast\" was a staff member selling low quality snacks for $5 a piece.
In short, while it's cheap, there are much better places with working amenities and breakfast for similar cost. Will not be coming back.

Everything was not in great repair. Little things broken all around, horrible paint jobs and shotty repairs were noticeable which contributed to a run down feeling overall. The hot tub was bath water, the pool was freezing, and the \"restaurant\" was a big disappointment. Only one of two elevators working which made for long waits. I won't be staying here again.

The hotel could be nice …. If they had any staff. Two housekeeping women trying to clean the entire place. Our room was never serviced during our entire stay. We had NO towels after we checked in our room and the front desk was never there and wouldn’t answer the phone. We finally got 3 hand towels to shower with. We ran out of toilet paper and it took an entire afternoon to get some. We bought an orange juice on the second floor and it was outdated by 1 month. Never staying here again. Not sure what the deal is, but unacceptable!

It’s fine if you just need a bed

Blankets on bed were too thin. The lights in room needed new bulbs. Had to call for essentials such as toilet paper. The restaurant on-site did not have a working kitchen. The pool was freezing.

I feel bad for the staff here. There are like 4-5 people working the whole hotel. The staff is doing what they can. The problem is the management and owners. The pool will cause hypothermia, the hot tubs are in disrepair. There are no towels unless you bribe the staff. The heating unit in the room blew directly into my back while not sleeping. The fact that this has an average of 3.5 means 3.5 is a one. The only thing good here are the mattresses and the kitchen is ok, you’re on your own for everything else.

Horrible place

The entire hotel didnt have any towels and when asking staff, it was a very rude response to no reason why or when or if we would get towels.
Restaurant Moffat, has horrible food and service was so slow.
Pool, was about 40 degrees, and hot tub was green and barely warm.
Hallway reeked of Marijuana and families were being moved to different rooms to get away from it. We had to use a blanket to block the door from having it seep into our room. It was so strong!!!
Not sure if there isnt enough staff, or lack of training. But since my last visit 4 yrs ago, i'd definitely say its a dying hotel. I would not recommend the stay.

Bring extra blankets and towels. Bedding was limited to sheets and very thin blankets. We requested more blankets and towels but front desk said they were out. We stayed in the winter and lack of bedding was an issue but a basic necessity for a hotel.

I felt bad for the staff! What a dump!

Well, we will never forget it! This hotel is SEVERELY UNDERSTAFFED. The staff was friendly and patient considering everyone was mad at them because there were no towels. For days! The hot tubs were green and were smaller than the hole in the deck with exposed wiring and such. There were stains on our sheets and popcorn in the bed. I will say, the bar and game room for the kids was pretty nice and the location is great. But whoever owns this place is charging a lot for a dump across the street.

Do not stay here! It's a scam!

Do not stay here under any circumstance! No bath towels, no soap, no wash cloths, no housekeeping, no blanket on bed, no service (understaffed), no manager on site, only one coffee in the room for 2 people. This was the most ridiculous hotel experience my wife and I have ever had in our lives! We met others that had the same experience if not worse! This place should be shut down!

No soap and no towels

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room had no TV remote and I called five times to get one throughout the evening and no one could bring one. The room also did not come with towels and they were not able to deliver any as they ran out. The worst part of all was that they had no soap and when I called the front desk before bedtime they said there was no soap for anyone in the hotel. They simply ran out. It was unhealthy and not sanitary to stay here.

Hotel is very close to Winter Park, but because of the shuttle route it still took a while to get to the resort. And you can’t walk. The hot tub was disappointing, luke warm not hot. Probably would not stay here agai .

if you’re looking for a hotel you have to keep asking for towels, blankets and stuff this is the place. phones doesn’t work so get ready to go down for single thing after a day of ski.
first off we called from airport around 10am and were told that room is ready, fast forward we came and no room is ready understandable since it’s not guaranteed but we were waiting in lobby for 3 hours and she started assigning room to people just walking in and we asked that you know there are three families waiting she rudely said well you should’ve checked like what!. we go in room not vacuumed no towels not even bedding done so idk what was taking so long and how’s these rooms ready.
no food options for except for mediocre restaurant on site from 4-8pm only dominos delivers so better ready to go to town and bring back some.
second day we came from ski whole day and no housekeeping came no towels , no nothing, came downstairs to get in a queue since everyone is down asking. The staff literally told us that every towel is in washer dryer cycle and when i said my kid is in shower already they gave me a walmart mainstays pool towel(not even sure if it was a pool towel).
we had two rooms one didn’t even had a curtain and the other had holes in it i should’ve taken pictures.
we have been to so many hotels around but this was worst experience. everyday we walked past and there’s families waiting for room at 4,4:30,5:00pm. only good thing is location. housekeeping doesn’t understand english.

The Worst ever!

We stayed there 29,30,31 of 2024 to go snow skiing. The first day we could not check in til after 5pm, then when we did there was no towels or washcloths in room. after two days of begging , we finally got 2 new ones on last night. Everybody else was complaining as well. We also had a table cloth put on our bed instead of sheet.We saw cleaning crew but never a vacuum ever, will never go back.
