The walls are paper-thin. The beds are sold as memory foam mattress, they are not. I sleep on memory foam. It gives just a bit when pressed. These beds are the cheapest hardest mattress from whatever local discount mattress shop. There was an extremely limited breakfast available. One night our neighbor had a full mental break down and ems had to sit outside our room for hours. Also we arrived after 10 pm. We were left to wait in the cold for a staff member. They provide a phone to call said staff member but it does not work. I hope you have cell service or your not getting in. Believe the other reviews. For the money you can absolutely do better elsewhere.

This is a perfect location to hit multiple ski resorts under an hour (if I-70 cooperates!). The service was excellent, the breakfast was really weak, the rooms were not the best, but the hot tub was nice to relax after a day on the slopes. This was a perfect place for me to stay by myself and I will stay again.

It is very old and run down ac/heater rattled all night and you can see right through it. Tub had cracks in it had a mildew smell to the point we bought air freshener from the dollar store across the street. Had to park in the front and walk to the back even though there was parking in the back.

The lodge is clean but a little dated. Breakfast was great & the hot tubs are good after a day of skiing. Places to eat within walking distance & easy access to highway. manager was totally awesome. I broke my leg while skiing & she was terrific in assisting me with breakfast, loading gear & doing anything to help me. I don't know how I could have managed without her kindness.

The furniture was very uncomfortable, especially the chair, the sofa, and the mattress. The hot tub was not hot at all. I tried a couple of times to raise the temperature, but it stayed around 94, which is barely above body temperature. The breakfast was what I could expect from a motel. But the coffee was not enough. Every time I stood up to get coffee, it was empty.

For the price, which was great, the room was good. Nice to have a free continental breakfast. However, the 2 hot tubs were dirty, smelly, and not very desirable. Personally, I'd get rid of them or COMPLETELY remodel that entire room and get up to date hot tubs in there.

Room was adequate. Paid 124 on this website, they handed me a receipt for 79, this place skimmed off $45, book on their website or call to reserve.

Beds were good for 3/4 of us. Furnace needed new setting at 4am, shower pressure was a mist, hot tubs a bit chilly and cloudy but still nice. It was worth the price they showed me, if not the price I paid. Waffle maker for breakfast but not much protein options.

Our stay was okay - the front desk was very friendly and helpful, but the room itself had some issues. The bathroom floor had clearly not been cleaned in some time - there was tinsel and dust on the floor which was icky. Some of the lights in the room did not work. The shower did not get very hot, and the faucet handle for it needed maintenance. We also tried to go to the hottub, but the water was very dirty and stuck at 99 degrees (we tried to adjust to hotter and nothing happened) - the hottub room also smelled like it might be moldy. Overall based on this experience, I would probably not stay here again even though it looks great in the pictures on hotels.com.

When we entered the room, the floors hadn’t been vacuumed- there was debris on the floor. In the bathroom toilet there was a bloody napkin (?) when we arrived and the toilet wouldn’t flush. I didn’t want to touch anything in the room due to the lack of cleanliness.

The biggest issue was at the lodge itself was supposed to be open at 6 AM with staff, nobody showed up until after 7 AM. Had to get coffee next-door at the gas station. Not that big of a deal, but when there is no coffee maker in the room, it should be ready when the lodge is supposed to open at 6 AM.

The room smelled of smoke, the carpeted floors were dirty, spider webs and dust on ceiling and corners, large brown stain on side of bedding, and trash behind nightstand. Not what we expected to walk into. We checked in & out immediately. We were refunded for 3 of the nights since it was booked non refundable. I’m not gonna argue, but they should have had no problem issuing a full refund considering the room’s condition. And I do have pictures.

Horrible property. Room stinks with poop smell. Carpets are hardly cleaned (especially for long bed room), fire alarms are broken. Front desk persons were cooperative, but the manager was ridiculous. Property manager was good, understanding & she convinced the manager to deal promptly.

There was literally cockroaches in the bathroom when you turn on the light they run into the walls. We didn't even stay the two nights we paid we left at 11pm the second night after seeing the cockroaches. The bed sheets and blankets were filthy. The door to our room wouldn't close right. It's very run down and it's pricey. The only thing good is that you can bring your dogs for 20 dollars a night or dog which isn't bad. The lady was a little friendly but wouldn't let anyone check in until after 3 because they are cleaning the rooms. But they aren't even clean. Don't waste your money. Stay in Idaho springs much cleaner and nicer. Oh and it smelled like it had plumbing issues.

Cute little lodge in the mountains. It’s a very old town so naturally the building is old. The bed was surprisingly very comfortable I usually hate hotel beds from Hyatt or Marriott etc. it was firm but soft I think memory foam. Pillows were seriously the only pillows I’ve ever slept a whole night on in a hotel. Now the room well the carpet was a bit rough. There was a mini fridge and a flat screen tv that we had fun binging holiday movies on. Staff was friendly. Downside was our door didn’t latch so we went an entire day while gone with it open… it needs to be pulled hard to close. I reported the issue. We will definitely return next year as we are vendors for a holiday show.

Hot tub was not hot. The first couple days I stayed there.The door did not lock.So was when I came back. Maintenance man admitted while I was in the hot tub that he bases dog in the same hot tub before he drains it. Food variety needs more hot items. Hotel greeting staff and cleaning staff all excellent. The ladies that work, the front desk were very accommodating.During a toe injury. If everything had been as good as the?
Ladies who worked the front desk.There would have been higher ratings. Overall , a very cozy place to stay very accommodating staff except for the maintenance man's slip.

Dirty and smelly room with unidentified stain marks at different parts of the room. On-site staff were unwilling to change our room citing that they were fully booked, while the parking lot is pretty much empty. TV and wifi didn’t work. Disappointing and limited breakfast options.

It's a lower cost basic lodging option. The place is not fancy at all, but it's clean. If you're a Karen that wants something for nothing, don't stay here. If you're wanting a clean, basic place to stay at with the typical high carb breakfast in a really cool little town, this is your place. I'd stay there again.

Check in was fine and the staff were nice but when we got to our room it didn't look like it had been vacuumed. The carpet was in extremely poor condition (holes and stains everywhere). We aren't sure how well the shower was cleaned because there was hair still in it. We decided not to use it since we were only there one night. We found a stain on the comforter that made it clear it had not been washed. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If they have nicer rooms that have been re-done, we definitely didn't get one.

The room was clean and comfortable. The walls are quite thin, bring ear plugs for neighbors conversations and I-70 truck noise. Staff was congenial but not at the front desk for a long time at arrival and departure. I got tired of waiting at departure and just left room key by reaching over the desk.

I was kinda disappointed in my stay here this time. We stayed here last xmas and could wait to go back. Check in was smooth front desk so informative while driving to our room there was a woman using the restroom for everyone to see. When we entered our room there was not only old food in the fridge there was alcohol. With us being on thos to celebrate my wifes 6 years sober it was disheartening. We then found drity clothes that next the the dresser with the party going on in the room behind us we didnt get the sleep we wanted after our 13 hr drive.

Sorry to be the one to say it but this place needs to be bulldozed and replaced. My room: stains on the carpet, worn out furniture, burnt out lightbulb in the room AND in the bathroom. The only light in there and its out. Toilet is clogged, tub is very slow draining and you stand over ankle deep while showering...in the dark. The pillow cases and sheets were white sometime long ago as they are now getting closer to yellow. The positive was the lady at check in. Very pleasant.

Great customer service, but cleaning needs work!

The location is great! The lady that checked us in was VERY helpful and very nice. I couldn’t speak highly enough of her hospitality. She even offered to give us food because we would’ve been gone before breakfast was served. I was not impressed a with the cleanliness of the room. It didn’t look like it had been cleaned at all. I should’ve said something because we had to wipe surfaces down in the bathroom and the bedroom area. We will stay here again due to the customer service and location, but we will ask for the room to be clean next time.
