It was a nice room the only thing I didn't like was the fire alarm going off in the night and having to go all the way down upstairs and wait by the bus stop just to come to find out that it was 8th floor not 6th floor so I could've stayed in my room the entire time.. it was loud and cold and annoying and then nobody even told us what you do I feel like they need to be more on top of it if they have fire like that they need to walk to each room and tell them they need to leave the floor that just let the fire alarm to it

Nice hotel when traveling with Dogs. There are restrictions on dogs in the Casino (Can't walk floor, stroller is ok for small dogs or service animals) or restaurants. King Suite Room was clean, modern and up to date with a safe and refrigerator. Lower rating for food options and quality of food which was not great.

We were so disappointed about our entire stay. Take this as feedback for change. You definitely lost a customer and all that travel with us. Valet took quite some time to take our vehicle. Waited to check in while 2 staff members hung out, chatted with each other and did not greet me. \"Oh, sorry we didn't see you\" as I was the only person standing there. A 3rd employee finishes up her check in and immediately greets me. Charged $10 for a 30 minute early check in after being ignored. Great customer service, enjoy your additional $10 because that in the end will cost you hundreds by losing customers. Room was so incredibly hot, invest in air conditioning and resist the urge to be cheap. Very minimal room, not worth the $200 a night. Went to the steak house and had dinner with a very friendly mouse. He was way to comfortable around people to be an isolated incident. Manager made some comps on the food bill which was the least he could do being as we weren't interested in finishing our meal after the vidoes we took. Slept terrible since the room was so hot and the pillows were just air. Stopped at the Starbucks downstairs and waited in line for a good 20 minutes while they made a few drinks but didn't take a single order from the line of 8 people so walked away from that disaster. Your hotel needs to try harder to do better.

Horrible service ..Stayed 5 nights took two requests to get room serviced on 3rd night since trash was overflowing and no toilet paper. When they finally did service the room they never left any toilet paper! Had to make a trip down to raise hell at front desk. This property DOES NOT have air conditioning..they'll bring you a fan! We paid for a room at the Horseshoe but got put in the Lady Luck side. So we want to know if we overpaid for our room. Our hotel room was 85 degrees and the air didn’t work. We called to let the front desk know and they wanted to sent maintenance but we have a dog so we waited to see if it got better. It did not and no one answered when we tried called again. It was super disappointing stay and we love bringing our dog but we probably won’t again so we don’t have to stay here

The Casino and our room was so hot. We had to leave the door cracked in the suite and the window open in the regular room. This is in winter and the outside temp was like 29F but inside it must have been 90 degrees! Please fix the AC/heating system.

The room was 78 degrees and the air conditioning doe not work in thw winter time. We were told its a one pipe system. Meaning tou can only have hearlt or cold. Not sure what that means. We were iffered a fan and rudely told to open the window. So we slept with the window open and woke uo with sore thoats each night. Also there is some kind of electrical problem. The hall and bathroom likes would come in and off all day and night. They went out when i showered snd i had to wake my husband to get him to turn them back on. There is no room service. You must ask for your trash to be dumped, soap.and toilet paper as they do not check the room daily. The bed sheets, well im not sure what that was. A whole bunch of flat sheets yhat do not stay on the bed. The ice machine was turned off so thete was no ice. I think the worst part was being told weel there is no AC and basically we should have known and you could tell the answer they gave was something they said all night. We will not stay there again.

Didn't get menus or drinks so we moved to the bar so someone would notice us. The appetizer of potato skins were burnt and cold. Burgers were overcooked. Seemed like a staffing issue

It was very dirty and smelled terrible. However, since I had a reservation from the 28th to the 31st, I endured it and stayed there. The bathroom vent was so dusty that the dust was even coming out into the room, so I took pictures and showed them to the manager. I have a dust allergy, so I coughed a lot. I don't know what happened after that.

Our room was behind the elevator. The elevator noise was loud the entire time we were in our room. The heat is not controlled in each room. It’s controlled in the whole building so if you are hot, you have to open a window. I’m not sure what to do if you’re cold. I would not stay here again.

Food in restaurant not great - raw patty. Food in late night cafe awful with terrible service. Stir fried rice was raw / hard - like it came out of a bag - putting raw rice in hot oil is not how you make fried rice - it does not work that way. Broke a tooth. Wasted money - no refund or credit. Entire meals were awful. Limited machines. Needs updating. Prices too high for experience.

This place is three stars at best.

The good: the rooms are very clean, and parking is free.

The bad: this was the hottest room I’ve ever stayed in. It was 81 degrees while trying to sleep, and maintenance basically told us that’s just how it is. So your options are either open the window and freeze all night, or keep it closed and sweat. It was so hot my deodorant literally felt melted. Just insane.

The food options on property are alap awful — easily the worst hotdog I’ve ever had in my life. The casino itself is small and a bit dated.

If prices are comparable elsewhere, I can’t imagine staying here again. I’d definitely choose somewhere else next time.

There were no hangers in the closet. The safe didn't work. There were not enough towels. After I called front desk to get these things fixed, nothing happened. AND, on Nov 16th (obviously a different reservation), I mistakenly left a pair of boots in the room and housekeeping did not turn them in to Lost and Found. I WILL NOT stay at the Horseshoe Blackhawk again.

Horrible experience. Staff is no help. Lost my ID at the airport, so I couldn’t rent a car or make it to my reservation. To add to it, the hotel basically told me to go screw myself. No refund. Horrible customer service. House always wins I guess.
