We were stranded in Athens by the airline. Flight was canceled and the reps said “you’re on your own. All hotels in Athens are booked. Look on Google for something possibly on the coast”. Found this little gem. The front desk people were so friendly and welcoming.
Even though the small hotel was not the up to the standards we are used to in the states, the staff made up for it. They called us a taxi early the next morning, and opened up breakfast an hour earlier than their normal hours. We are very thankful we found these amazing people in such a stressful situation.

This was a last minute reservation for us the night before a flight out from Athens. About 30 min from the airport. It was clean and did the job. Walking distance to the local restaurants and night life. Some light construction on some of the floors, but overall not an issue.

Contrary to what the name implies, the hotel is removed from the sea by a one-and-a-half block walk on a dirt road. Also, while Expedia lists it as an airport hotel, it cost us 100 euros to go to and from the hotel. The facility is pleasant enough with a nice pool and an engaging, helpful staff. The room could benefit from a hotpot and water. The water is supplied at an additional cost.
They were able to arrange a ride to the airport (that cost 40 euros). The driver showed up late, refused to deal with our luggage, and insisted that we stop for coffee on the way to the airport.

My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights and we couldn’t recommend it enough. It’s a lovely place that is a few minutes walk from the seafront, where there are plenty of options for food and drink, all the Greek food we had along here was divine! The staff in Thomas Beach are the friendliest and kindest people we met. The owner helped us to travel to Athens, which is very easy (ignore Google and talk to the locals!!). The breakfast had everything you could ask for and although we didn’t use the pool, it was clean and looked lovely. We would definitely head back if we were back in mainland Greece

- Athens in general look a bit run down,Nea Makri is better than average but still not a luxury type of place.

The lot across the hotel was abondent with a broken down car and holes in its windshield. The hotel sign had a letter dangling. The rooms were not clean, bed sheets and pillow case stained. The only thing I was not thrilled with, was the ugly three story hotel across the street their back side of that building was poorly kept. If you want best see view go floor 4 or 5. The beds were a little soft for me. (personal choice)

The Thomas hotel is a little gem! The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. We were let down by our first hotel choice and it was lovely to find a great replacement and such short notice. Convenient for the airport and out of the hustle and bustle of Athens, yet close enough to visit. Everything you need is here, breakfast choices were good, there is a pool although we didnt use it and it is clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend, great value for money.

Warm welcome and friendly owners/staff with good level of English. Pool is large and clean. Breakfast excellent with wide range of options. Room was a little tired (shower patched) but very clean and fine for our pre-airport stay.
We had never stayed in Nea Makri before but we liked it - it felt very Greek rather than touristy - especially the range of restaurants and cafes facing the sea on the strip which becomes pedestrian at night. The street the hotel is on looks shabby, but felt safe, and proved to be a good location - 2 minutes to the sea and restaurants in one direction and 5 minutes to the main shopping street and excellent bakery in the other direction. We would stay here again.

Nice, quiet hotel in an ideal location for beach and restaurants. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, nothing was ever too much to ask. Room was clean and modern, with air conditioning included. The pool was lovely and we never had to worry about whether there would be sun beds available. I like staying here when I visit Nea Makri. The hotel is clean, the staff is always kind and friendly and the beds are comfortable. The location is also ideal as it is close to the beach, cafes, restaurants and the town center. It is also just a short walk to my FAVORITE restaurant in town \"To Steki\" which is right behind Townhall! Never any complaints when I visit! (I've stayed here 4 times so far)

It’s perfect if you rent a car a bit pricy on shuttle to get there but we’ll worth everything! The little town to walk around in is cute and safe and welcoming! The staff was nice and helpful and the breakfast was great! I am looking forward to going back on a family trip and staying here!

Firstly the people made the stay more enjoyable. Their greetings and hospitality put some higher hotels to shame. Taxi travel with family is costly since its half hour drive from Athens city. On one occasion the manager offered to drive us to Attica as he was heading that way.
For a 3 star hotel, having a swimming pool is quite rare - though we didnt use it but it adds to the value.
We hoped for tea/coffee facilities after travelling to hotel but it wasnt in the room - we had to ask. Would also be helpful to have hair dryer/ iron in room, maybe its at reception but we didnt ask and thought its only 3 star.

The hotel was fine for our one night stay before leaving Athens. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. They coordinated our taxi pick up from the hotel, which was amazing! The rooms were clean, but the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. Additionally, the morning breakfast was not very edible. Overall, the hotel was fine for our one night stay, but I would not recommend for a longer visit.

My stay was fairly good. The hotel is quite a distance from the airport and i had to take the bus then a taxi and the folliwing day had to pay 30 euros for a shuttle to the airport, so not very practical for one night. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. My room while it had a great sea view, could use a facelift.

I requested a airport shuttle. My fligt came in late. The Hotel had my flight number. The driver came and waited for a little and left. I came out after getting my luggage which took 25 minutes. The car was not there. Icalled the hotel and they send theriver again and told me he will be here in 25 minutes, It took him 50 mintes and finally we went to the hotel close to 3 am. We left the hotel at 7:30 am the day. The hotel did not say sorry and full charge for the shuttle. The hotel is in not in a good location. Not very clean. Also not worthed the price we paid for thenight.

We stayed here for the last 2 nights of a two week trip in Greece. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Athens Airport and we were delighted with our choice. We stayed on the 3rd floor in one of the newly renovated rooms and it was very nice. The room had a smart TV and a very nice bathroom. The bedroom was clean and comfortable and the air conditioning system worked beautifully. The path to the hotel takes you through an area that looks a little run down and the designated parking lot for the hotel is just an empty lot - dont let this deter you. This hotel is one block away from the oceanfront and the location is awesome. Lots of choices for dining in a very short walking distance. The staff at the hotel was excellent, we really enjoyed talking with \"Aleeza\"...i know thats not how you spell her name, but I wanted to give her recognition for being especially helpful. This is a family owned Hotel and I know at some time we talked to a couple of the family members and everyone was really helpful and amazingly friendly. There is an awesome beach just a short drive from the hotel called Schinias Beach....if you get a chance, go to this beach. We had a 6:00 A.M. flight out of Athens and this hotel is only a 35 minute drive from there. If you are returning a rental car, dont miss the exit for the Rental Car Center!...go slow on the way into the airport, the sign comes up fast. We loved this property and would stay there again.

This is a perfect budget friendly, family friendly hotel close to the beach and restaurants. The staff are absolutely amazing; very friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic but spotless and beds are comfy. Recent upgrades to the hotel include new bathrooms, and flooring. Buffet breakfast is delicious and has a nice assortment of foods to please everyone from kids to adults. I would definitely use this hotel again.

The receptionists were just so lovely and friendly! We had some problem with the taxi transfer - it's flat rate of 38 euros written in the airport but taxi charged 45 instead. We didn't have enough small change hence we asked for help from the hotel. They immediately lent us 10 euros. Services are great! Room/ building condition wise, it's an old hotel I'd say which is pretty common in Greece.

The location of the hotel was near the beach but it was really quiet place so I had a time to relax!
There are several shops in 10-15min, including 2-3 supermarkets, glossary stores and cafe etc.
