Staying here was amazing! We had a partial sea view from our balcony and the room had AC which was amazing as it was very hot outside. Nearby beaches and great food spots. Not too far from Athens, as we did a day trip one day to the Acropolis and around the city. Super great spot if you’re looking for a nice coastal stay and away from all the very touristy areas.

Nice hotel for an overnight between flights. Nice view on the water. I was able to relax and take a nap while sitting on cushioned furniture looking out over the water after arriving hours before check-in from an international flight. Nice options for a meal. Very welcoming staff. They took care of arranging for my taxi in advance, so getting a ride to the airport at checkout was easy and was only about a 25 minute ride.

The staff was amazing. Very friendly and 24/7. Shower was great although they use a curtain which I don't like.

There is access to the "beach" but bring water shoes. This is not sand but pebbles with seaweed. Still very beautiful. The pool was nice but it's salt water and not heated.

Only about 25 minutes from the airport by taxi and there are lots of nice places to eat in the area.

My only real complaint was the shower curtain and the inside of the hotel was quite bland with terrible colors. Think early 90's Miami hotel look. However, I really don't care about that much.

Our room came with a balcony that was INCREDIBLE. The view of the sea was like staying at an expensive resort by the ocean (although it's a sea).

Too many great things about the hotel to complain about a few little quibbles.

Room was great with a terrific view. The bathroom was very small, even by European standards. I would say the shower was about 28inches by 28. Service was exceptional and freindly. Great stay even for the tiny shower!

There was a market close by. There was not an ATM anywhere close. I had to take a cab ride to a neighboring city to find a bank. The prices at the hotel were a little expensive for the class of environment. The staff were great! They were friendly and helpful. It was overall a very good experience.

The first thing I noticed about this hotel when I walked in the front door was the heavy odor of both cleaning solution and cigarette smoke. The next thing I noticed was the old and decrepit looking elevator. The staff was pleasant and accommodating we went up to our room on the third floor and it certainly was not up to my expectation of a four-star. Sadly I checked out and moved to the hotel directly next to it

We only stayed for one night and everything was perfect
Centrally located with lots of lovely reestaurants to choose from. The pool area was lovely.
Breakfast was not included so we never experienced that side of the hotel. You could have breaakfast for EUR10 per person if you wish.
It was terribly windy when we stayed so never got to walk around much. IOverall met all our requirements for one night stay.

The building was filthy, they have an elevator that’s 1000 years old, the pictures online looks nothing like their rooms, our blanket was made out of plastic like material. We left 1/3 of our reservation and the staff was speaking disrespectfully in Greek language towards us leaving (my friend spoke Greek and was able to translate). They wouldn’t refund our money for the next two days. Oh & they don’t allow free breakfast anymore cause of covid( it’s 2023)No ways this hotel has as high ratings as it does online. DO NOT RECOMMEND

We loved our stay at the Mati Hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff including Athina, Joanna and Alina. They are all hard workers with excellent customer service skills. The property, our room and the extra large pool was very clean. The view of the Aegean Sea was gorgeous from our picture window and our balcony in our room. There is a mini market down the road which is convenient and the Eva Restaurant at the corner has delicious food. $10 taxi ride to Rafina Port so very affordable and convenient when catching a ferry boat. Approximately, $30 for taxi to airport. Would definitely recommend the Mati Hotel. Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay and look forward to going back one day.

Wonderful stay. I opted to stay at the Mati Hotel and commute to Athens for sightseeing. I recommend doing so instead of staying in a hotel in Athens if you live in a big city and you would like the best of both worlds. Commute to Athens is 20-25euros. I recommend the app Beat to find english-speaking drivers and know the fare ahead of time.

Good value for money

This is a good hotel wihich is good value for money. As i was on a buisness trip and had a rental i did find the hotel difficult to find and it took me around 45 mins from the airport. I did not use the hotel shuttle bus. The hotel grounds are noce and the hotel has a nice atmosphere. The only issue was at checkout where the one person at the desk was overwelmed qith the number of guest checks and thier complicated invoice method. 3 reciepts . 1 for the room rate. One for local taxes and one for any extras

The lobby is very fancy and inviting and so is the pool.
The rooms are very old. Uncomfortable beds - lumpy mattress and a very sticky and annoying shower curtain (who uses these??). I would hardy give it 2 stars.
The hotel is located near a cafe and a restaurant- very far from the description of 'the center'

The hotel was nice, the staff were very friendly and the arranged our transportation easily to and from the hotel. We were only there a day but did not even leave the property as everything we needed was there. The view is beautiful and we ate all of our meals overlooking the beach in their outdoor restaurant. I liked that I sent them an email requesting to be picked up at the airport and to tell me the price as not to get any surprises from the taxi driver 😊. The breakfast are excellent.

If you like snorkeling, this place is very nice, the ocean is right behind the hotel and they have a very nice pool. Very well maintained 😊.
