Stayed for two nights. Overall, an ordinary stay and experience.
For a hotel charging over £100 per night, several basic amenities were either missing or not working. Some electrical sockets didn’t function, and there were no spoons or utensils provided despite tea mugs being available. There was also no sugar, sweetener, or milk for tea or coffee. The room itself was small.
It felt like much of the price was for the sea view, which—while excellent, especially at night—is something many coastal hotels offer at a lower cost. The hotel is reasonably modern, but this didn’t translate into overall comfort or value.
Service was inconsistent. Most staff were not particularly helpful, though one staff member stood out by going out of his way to provide straws and sugar for coffee.
Additional drawbacks included no iron, no proper clothes closet, and an unusual layout where the sink is positioned in the bedroom rather than within the bathroom.
Overall rating: 3.5 stars (4 for the view, 3 for overall experience).

The hotel has superb views. Our room was on the 24th floor with panoramic view of the city, ships in the harbour and skyscrapers. There is a cafe on the 28th floor. The hotel has a gym, sauna and laundry room. It is well located to nearby Lotte Mall, a shopping district, fish market and waterside walking paths.

Everything was great except their clothes dryer doesn't work good at all. It took us overnight to get our clothes dry. The dryer was free but doesn't work good at all. They need to replace that. We had an early flight the next morning so it was big inconvenient for us. Travelodge in Seoul has good working washer and dryer both need to pay but that's OK as long as they work good! If you plan to use their laundry facility, don't stay here, or call them first.

Internet was incredibly slow. Gym required a pass each time you used it, there was no water or cloth to wipe the equipment down. Everyone's sweat was just left on the equipment. When I asked for water at reception she told me to get it from the convenience store. It should be complementary. The shampoo smelt very toxic (like bleach), I believe it has been tampered with as when I took it to reception it was exchanged for shampoo that smelt like it should - it was very worrying and they didn't even apologise. Who knows what I washed my hair with, but it wasnt shampoo. I wouldn't stay here again.

The corner room view is stunning, and you can go to the roof to watch the beautiful harbour at sunset. However, in winter, with all curtains open so that you can enjoy the view, at night the aircon may struggle to keep your room warm.

Only odd is that they reserve two lifts for lower floors and two lifts for upper floors, which makes you feel discriminated in an unnecessary way

The reef disfuser in the room could be too strong; I had to hide it in the cupboard to reduce the smell.

Loved the port view with the city skyline! Best view is obviously from the rooftop but even the twin city room had an amazing view. One thing I’d like to point out is that Lavalse had the room ready for us even before the check-in time which was so convenient after a 2.5hr long bullet train ride. Incredibly grateful for that and I understand it wouldn’t have been easy! Service was amazing and facilities were even better.

The hotel is nice and nicely decorated. I booked this hotel because it advertised having a restaurant and bar however, upon arrival we learned that the restaurant only serves a breakfast buffet every day which is expensive at ₩25,000 per person and dinner is only available on Friday and Saturday evenings. Therefore we were forced to find outside eating options as they don’t offer room service at all.

We went to the bar to have a drink and learned that there is a set menu to order from so you do not have the option to even order something as simple as a screwdriver. There really was not a “bartender” and the Barista from the cafe had to come over to make the drinks but she didn’t even know how to make a Tequila Sunrise which is one of the items on the set menu. They offer wine but you have to purchase the whole bottle without even being given the option of trying a glass of it first. And each bottle was between $40-$60 USD.

The refrigerator in our room was not cooling the entire time we were there and we called the front desk and they sent someone up to check it and he claimed it was working but it wasn’t. Nothing was cold ever and we were there for 5 days.

The remote for our tv was broken. They replaced the batteries but the power button never worked so we had to manually turn it off and on.

We did laundry once and the dryers do not work well at all. It took 6 hours to dry our clothes and we even tried all the dryers.

Overall, the experience was decent.

Great location to stay with a family when visiting Busan - right outside the hustle but close enough to get into the heart of the city quickly. There are different types of washroom depends on the room and one of it has very weired and inconvenient layout. Make sure you get separated shower and toilet otherwise it could be quite awkward. Other than it, happy overall.

The property had a good location with a Lotte mall, Starbucks, and restaurants all within 10 minutes walk. The spa amenity was nice and at a very reasonable fee. Beautiful rooftop cafe for breakfast as well. The room was quiet and would recommend to anyone.

The view was amazing, you can see the skyline towards the Busan Port. Easy refreshing walks over the Yeongdo bridge to get to shopping malls and markets. Many restaurants around for great food and food stalls along the road leading up to the hotel at night. Too bad we only could stay for a night, I would definitely book here again to explore Busan some more.

Rude and uncooperative staff.

The staff was very rude. We requested some extra pillows and was told they would not provide them. No explanation. Not even an offer to provide them for a fee. I called the next day and explained that it was a medical condition which requires me to sleep at an elevated angle. They begrudgingly got approval and provided the pillows.

We requested a late check out and was informed it would incur a fee. I explained that they had told me that late check out was free if requested ahead of time. They then agrees to give a single hour.

Overall, the hotel room and the hotel itself were very nice, but the staff was rude and uncooperative.

Lavalse Hotel had one of the best view that i stayed in any hotel. However, it comes with a price, not just so on the cost of the room but also the limited eatery around the hotel and nit to mention that you will need to walk (or take a bus) over a long bridge to get out or back to the hotel. Not to mention that the hotel mixed up my hotel room type and downgraded my stay until i clarify once i get to see the room. Better to be clear which room type you booked at the hotel reception.

I was very impressed with this hotel. It had the best hotel bed I've ever slept on. The rooms might appear small at first but they were very comfortable and functiona. From the bathroom to the split \"balcony\". I loved the master control for the lights and temperature, as well as the fake wall to creat a balcony space. The room was also near the highway and had a great view without any noise. Best part was that the nearest subway station was a short 10-15 min walk. Was also able to get a taxi at 6 am. And all the staff were very helpful in explaining how to get around. Would definitely come back!

Beautiful hotel with excellent amenities, amazing views. You can take a long walk to the mall & lots of shopping over the bridge, or walk the other way to the beautiful, hip coffee shop Momos. Rooms are comfortable and very modern. Staff is hospitable. Great for digital nomads to work at the cafe on the 28th floor. Great coffee and delicious pastries.

Just okay....

We really wanted to like The Lavalse, but overall it was just an okay stay, with only two standouts: the views and housekeeping. Although it's relatively new, the hotel already had torn wallpaper, missing numbers in hallways, and the slowest elevator we have ever experienced in any hotel. The check in/reception staff were robotic in nature and never strayed from a memorized script, thus we never felt that this hotel was anything special.

Very nice place. Their AC is very cold, in my opinion is the best thing ever. The room size is pretty good as well. Very pretty view as well if you book one with view. They also have a roof top with very delicious bakery. There is a very delicious pork bone soup at the back of the hotel, and good coffee at Blu Shaak just down the street. The mall are about 10 mins drive if you could Uber around or take the bus

The location was good and in walking distance to local restaurants and the Lotte Mall and my favorite, the fish market where you can buy fresh live sea food and have them prepared upstairs along with drinks. The restaurant needs improvement though. There is not enough staff to replenish the food and condiments such as sugar, ice, fruits and the such. I had to find someone to bring the shortage to their attention. All in all it was a pleasant stay although nothing exceptional

The room was dirty, and we had notified the reception who promised to clean it, but unfortunately they didn’t care enough. I was happy to reduce my stay from 2 to 1 night. Not coming back.

Great hotel. We stayed 4 nights when we first arrived in Korea.

The hotel is just across the bridge from where we went a lot of the time, the fashion street. Great place for shopping, food, drink… it’s also very close to Nampo station to get the metro anywhere in Busan.

The hotel itself was great. Very clean, modern, and the staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance. They spoke good English and were able to help with whatever we needed.

The hotel also has a cafe which we used a couple of mornings for some coffee and breakfast. A CVS is also part of the hotel which is great.

If we return to Busan at some point, La Valse with be on our list of places to stay.

Hotel is well located and is walking distance from the subway and different bus routes as well as stores and restaurants. Superb views from the rooftop. Comfy room ocean view room with perhaps too many mirrors! Water and single use drip coffee were available each day. We had a croissant one morning but did not otherwise eat at the café or have breakfast there. Front desk and housekeeping staff were nice and at check out the clerk got us a taxi that was there in 3 minutes.

It's a beautiful hotel and location with a limited transportation.

Front desk agent was horrible...I understand the check in time is 3pm which is standard to all hotel industries. We arrived around 12:30 pm to check to see if any rooms are available. GSA kept saying that check in is 3 PM and I accepted an offer to pay an extra to check in eary but she wouldn't acknowleged it meanwhile other guests were arrived late and other GSA checked them in..after all, we had to go another GSA who checked us in ??

The room and view was great! but the service was bit 'Meh' like we asked for iron said yep would send one up but 20 mins later still no so called again and said okay will chase up on that. 30 mins later still no so called again and they said they ran out of irons if they had said that one our first call i would have been like okay just try again tomorrow. The check in was bit slow as well and the lifts can be slow if its busy. Otherwise the hotel is nice. Its also probably not the most convenient but its okay.
