Filthiest room I’ve ever stayed in. Proper hygiene was not high on the list. Beds appeared to have been previously slept in and possibly more than once. One bed sheets smelt like Indian food and the other bed had 3 different smells, and non smelt like soap or clean. Dry dead skin at foot area. Stains on pillow and towels. Dirty floor. Used toilet paper on counter that was dirty in inside of role (I don’t even want to speculate). Darkest and thickest black hair was in many places in room. Used soap and hair in shower. I had reason to believe that they just put fresh towels (stained) in room and called it a day. Very upset with this experience and didn’t get much sleep and felt dirty the whole time there. Very sad to see this happening in Canada.

The first set of room keys provided access to a room that wasn't cleaned or prepared. They moved us to another room. Although it looked ready, when it cam to bed time, the sheets looked like they had already been slept in. The door didn't lock properly. Would not stay again.

Beds were very comfortable and shower worked really well. Blood stained pillow and bathroom were quite gross, had to clean a bit.

Make sure to call ahead to see what amenities are actually open. Pool- not open. Hot tub- not open. Breakfast area- not open. Asked why there was no notification on website or booking. Answer was.... \"Because they aren't open\"

The room was OK, clean, good mattress, updated bathroom, but the pool and hot tub were out of order, and they were the main reason for choosing this location. There needs to be a way that Expedia can be made aware of situations like this, so that it can be mentioned on the site.

Clean and comfortable. This is a cheaper hotel but the small bathroom was recently refurbished. Beds comfortable with plenty of good pillows. Good chairs at table. Private balcony with mountain view across the highway. Some trucks growled up the highway but passed quickly. They have some more expensive rooms angled away from the road.
One suggestion I would make to the owners; although the heavy curtains are excellent, privacy curtains are also needed so that guests can have full advantage of the view.

Check in was quick and easy. Room was good size and beds comfortable. Motel was empty from what I could see until they put a group in the room next to me. I could hear their loud conversations. It was after 22:00. Next morning went to have a shower and the shower would not turn on. Pulled on the dial and thought it was going to come right out of the wall. Had a sponge bath. Front desk/libby was locked and I had to get going otherwise I would have mentioned the inconvenience to them personally.

The place was fine but overpriced. very small bathroom, sink toilet and shower/tub crowded into a v small room. Linoleum chipped and breaking in main room. ok for a cheap motel but this was more than double what we paid for a room in Kamloops that was better laid out and more comfortable.

Clean room and was easy to get to. The restaurant served only Indian food. The beds were comfy and the room was quiet. It would be nice to have the price indicated in US dollars so that Canadians know what currency we are paying. I thought the room us $150.00 Canadian but it was in American dollars therefore with the exchange it turned out to be over $200 and this hotel was not worht a $200 night sleep.

We booked our stay late at night after a family visit ended up running late. Golden village lodge was great to deal with. The room was clean and exactly what we needed for a night. Beds were comfortable and the linens were all clean and nice.

We found the Golden Village Lodge to be clean and comfortable during our 1-night stay. It was literally next to the Glacier Raft Company, with whom we had booked a rafting tour. Most convenient . Not walkable to downtown Golden for meals but a short drive nonetheless. Didn't try the attached Indian restaurant but it looked nice from the outside. Overall, good value for money!

Booked online unexpectedly due to the highway being closed for an accident. Customer service at check in was fine, nothing over the top. Room seemed clean enough but smelled a bit musty. Heads up the walls are paper thin and smokers smoke directly outside their rooms, so the smell of cigarettes is constant throughout your stay.

When deciding to head into town for dinner, we shut our room door and by habit checked to make sure it was locked. The door opened with out use of the room key. We figured, since there’s a key hole in the handle, we must need to lock it from the inside. No, there is no lock. There is a deadbolt that can lock the door from the INSIDE but the door handle has nothing to disengage it. From the outside the door opens. I went to the front desk to see if there was a key or something we are missing about this door. The same front desk clerk acted as though I was an idiot. We asked if there was a key or something to lock the door? She told me no and offered no assistance. I asked if there were any other options and she said no and again offered no help and then said “well no one else has ever brought this up so….” The worst customer service. Do not stay here if you value
Your belongings being locked in a room (room 222). Don’t recommend this place purely based on customer service.

Golden Village Lodge is on the edge of the highway so is really convenient and easy to find. Our room was very comfortable and the entire lodge has recently been painted top to bottom so, looks great. The beds are super comfortable. The only downside is the sounds from the other rooms. People talking comes through the walls very clearly so this disturbed our sleep often

It was a fairly comfortable bed to sleep in and the hotel was not too-loud.
Just when someone coughed you could hear them.
Check in was slow and I asked for ice there was no ice buckets.
The pool and hot tub were not working that day we were told.
The lobby was in bad repair but there were no signs to apologize. It looked like it had been that
Way for a long time.
There were hairs on the floor and n the shower in the bathroom.
Someone had spilt a lot of blood or something g red on the floor beside the bed but no one had blamed it up.

It was honestly not a good stay, We were on one of the ground floor rooms. First of all the parking in front of our room was occupied by someone. No clear markings for parking, Windor A/C was as loud as a truck engine. The shower was not showering basically, just the water Tap worked, which was inconvenient to bath.
No facilities for drinking water. Upon complaining.

Not the best stay on vacation

Toilet has nit been cleaned in a while as there was a ring at water level. Lamps beside the bed have nit been dusted in a li g time. Fire alarm piece missing just wires hanging from ceiling. Room not illuminated good. Small parking lot near room had to park on other side of hotel. Toilet flushed poorly as water pressure is low and took multiple flushes to do what is supposed to happen never plugged just flushed small items every time.

Most expensive place we stayed, but room was small, lighting poor, beds too high for seniors to get into, husband had to fix toilet a couple times as tank wouldn't fill, couldn't get TV reception, hot tub jets were not working, hair on bed and bathroom floor. This place is awesome, we were in town for a wedding and they let us check in so early.
The beds were cozy and the shower was warm and powerful.
Didnt spend a lot of time at the hotel but i enjoyed the time i did.

The staff were very friendly, the cleanliness of the rooms was satiafactory.
However, the property is too old, with half the rooms (including ours) looking out to a dirt mound. Parking might be an issue if the hotel is fully booked.
I'd only recommend it for an overnight stop, not more.

I did not get a much sleep that night as it was a hot day and the room was hot so had to run a/c. Would have been nice to have a quiet ceiling or standing fan for air movement.
I found the hotel price for a crappy sleep and a long drive home the next day.

Price was cheap compared to other places, and front desk was cordial and polite. However:
Wooden floor was dusty, caused dusty/wet foot prints in the washroom every time. Sink was too high, towel hanging hooks too close to toilet seat. Too many mosquitoes but i wouldn't count that against the establishment but they should provide some solution. No drinking water faucet even in front desk area, we were told to use bathroom sink. Room okay in a pinch but needs some improvements

Nice Place!!! - Nice Price!!!

Nice place to stay to hit several of the National Parks. It is very easy to get on and off the main highway and the lodge is very close to restaurants and the downtown portion of Golden. The price also was excellent. They serve no breakfast but my room had a microwave and a big refrig in it so I bought some food from the grocery store and had my breakfast in my room. You do hear some highway noise from the rooms but I had a white noise creator on my computer and that worked well in shutting down outside noise.
