My room was next to the kitchen, and there was always someone cooking — even in the middle of the night. The radiator in the room was broken, and the landlord hadn’t mentioned it beforehand. When we called him, he said there was a small heater, but it made a loud blowing noise that made it impossible to sleep. In the end, we had no choice but to turn it off and endure the cold and the noise from the kitchen. It was a terrible experience.

Great stay for a solo traveler, like I was. The room is similar to a college dorm but I am traveling solo so I didn't need some huge space. Bathroom is clean and nice.

Note, there is no cold storage on site. The beds were very, very small (and I am 5' 3\"). The room was nice but mildewy and a bit cold. The staff kept is pretty clean otherwise. I had to bother the front desk several times about how to check in, but they were accommodating, although their duties were split between on-site restaurant and hostle, so it was hard to find people.
Basically it was fine for 1 night, more than that and your back would hurt. The scenery by thr farm was beautiful. I was here in high summer, in winter i imagine this place would be very uncomfortable.

Nice hotel with very clean rooms and a great breakfast (omelets included). The site was very quiet. Not a huge problem, but an FYI that the name on the registration building is different than the hotel, so we circled the parking area once. Plenty of space to park and easy to find off a clearly marked road. The bathroom was large and very clean and the \"black out\" curtains made the room dark enough to sleep comfortably.

I choose the option of paying at the hotel because I wanted to pay in Euros (they charge in this currency). A few days before the stay, I got charged in my USD card. I called and the person I spoke to said the rule is to charge 7 days in advance and that's done everywhere in Iceland. That's not true. The rest of hotels I chose to pay at the hotel charged me when I did the check in. \"Thanks\" to that charge, I had to pay extra because of the conversion rate.
The day we got at the hotel, the parking lot was completely covered in snow and we had to park further away. The hotel was almost empty and reception and the restaurant were closed so not even the option of having dinner there. Our room was correct and clean but the decor was quite dated. It seemed that they didn't care much about the guests' happiness because they only had a few rooms booked. Will never come back.

Kitchen staff was amazing. The Chef was experienced and detailed in answering the dishes. While meals are generally expensive in Iceland, the meals here are tasty and worth the price. Cheaper and taste better than what I had in Hali County.

Pretty good spot. Only complaint was the breakfast kicks off a bit late at 8am, but only minor, and the bar is not always open for food. Its a 10km drive into town which has some nice places to eat. The building was new, the room was exceptionally clean and tidy, and staff were helpful and friendly.

We did a night in the cabins here and a night in the hotel. Both were great. The cabins are warm and cosy, the hotel more luxurious. The views are fantastic and though we didn't see the Northern lights we did see a beautiful sunrise. Eat in the restaurant if you can. Gorgeous cod with salsa and potatoes. Rough Check-in but Excellent Service
Cute, clean hotel in remote area of Iceland. We got in around 8 PM and fair warning: the drive was NOT easy. GPS could not find location (although to be fair, it couldn't find almost anything). It was snowing incredibly hard (November means darkness). When we checked-in, the woman at reception could not have been nicer. We actually got lost on our way to the hotel (it was 20 feet away) but we couldn't see the parking lot bc it was snowing SO HARD. We got stuck in a ditch! Reception lady was unBELIEVABLY helpful and kind. She called a \"farmer\" immediately and he pulled us out in 30 mins in this terrible weather. For this reason alone, I would recommend this hotel. Side note, breakfast is included and wonderful.

Buffet dinner was expensive for quality. School trips are catered to for food and accommodation - students on trips in cabins.. Guests in hotel eat the left overs at a later sitting but pay dearly for bits left. Similar experience with hot tub..filled with students and unavailable until after 10 pm. A location that could be so much more for hotel paying guests.

I stopped here for one night while exploring Iceland's south coast. Everyone was pleasant and polite, room was clean and I had the most gorgeous view of sunrise the next morning from my window.

Most expensive roast lamb
The room was fine but dinner was more expensive than the room. We naively accepted the offer to have dinner there. There were no menus we were told it was vegetable soup and roast lamb on offer. We assumed it would be reasonable given that we were eating the same meal as a visiting group of school girls. We were shocked to see we were charged almost 50euros a head for a simple roast. Outrageous even by Icelandic prices.

Check-in was between 15:00 and 18:00 per the sign on the door and 15:00-20:00 per the email, but when I arrived at 16:45 nobody was there. Doors were locked, parking lot empty, and no signs of anyone for 20 minutes. I left and came back two hours later with not so much as an apology. That bothered me. Otherwise the room was comfortable and nice. The water kind of flowed out of our shower all over the bathroom floor, which wasn't ideal, but it was fine.

The hotel was clean and very spacious. The staff were very nice. However, it was let down by a poor Internet connection. It was supposed to be free but we hardly got any connection in our room. The staff were quite apologetic about it as it was a know issue. Apart from that, we had a lovely stay.
