It's an old building there aren't really any amenities there's a couple restaurants near by but nothing special. Don't select a room in the basement because it's exactly what it sounds like you're in a legit basement of what looks like an old jail house room was tiny 1 queen bed and just enough room to walk around the bed.
Not sound proofed at all you can hear every person in the hallway talking or loud talkers next time.

At first we were put in the basement. The room should not have been a room. It was dark with a small window, damp, and the smell of mold hit you as you walked down the stairs. Open the door and immediately turned around and asked to be relocated to a different room. Staff obliged and was going to move us next door… we asked to be moved upstairs one level. Room was a little better no mold smell but smelt like cigarettes. As someone with severe respiratory issues I left after one night as I wouldn’t last another.

The price I wash shocked to see that how much it says on the booking site and how much I needed up paying for a tiny room. For couple of hours early check in they charged me for the half of the total amount. Which is ridiculous. Many other hotels they do honor your early check in. Never coming back again.

Overall , great hotel. Nicely renovated for an older style building in the downtown core of Orillia.
The only thing that was a disappointment was the deposit surprise you receive at check out. 450.00 is a bit outrageous.

If you are a senior or have any issues with walking do NOT stay here. The stairs are crazy and I found it difficult to find my room. Parking is dismal. There is none. I found myself driving around and around Orillia trying to find a parking spot. Walking around alone after midnight is not safe! I would never stay here again.

Although the rooms are clean and quiet, they are small and dated. Water damage was noted on the wall and lamp shade. The ceiling light fixture was missing its fixture and was just bare bulbs. Location was excellent. Parking is limited and in the back next to a bar.

Clean room and comfortable bed. Lobby and check in area are also well lit, clean and inviting. Minor complaint for the room: the bathroom does not have counter space to hold a toiletries bag, and while there was space in the vanity drawer, the interior of the drawer was very grubby and had not been wiped down. The other surfaces and shower enclosure of the bathroom were freshly cleaned. We did let the front desk know upon check out.

The property is split level, so be aware if you have accessibility needs. Our room was on the third floor and there are stairs to navigate (with your luggage) at the floor crossovers upon exiting the elevators.

There is very limited parking on-site at the rear of the hotel. There is signage indicating the spots are reserved for hotel guests, but we did see vehicles parking at the same time we were entering the lot and the occupants did not enter the hotel, so the reserved spaces are not enforced. We had to use the overflow parking lot, which is two+ blocks away. An easy walk, but you need to be aware for dropping off your luggage, if you forget anything in your vehicle and be prepared in inclement weather, as was the case in our stay. Guest umbrellas at the hotel entrance would be really useful as we were drenched getting back from the overflow parking.

Hotel was nice and in a pretty historic building. I like the quirkiness of those things. Parking was the only issue. With lots of snow the main parking lot was full quickly. There was maybe room for 20 cars in the lot. They did offer off site parking which was ok but a short walk. I guess I assumed all parking was on site. Otherwise nice hotel and a nice area with lots of cool local restaurants and shops.

Stayed 2 nights with my wife - we opted for the sub-level King sized bedroom.

The room was smaller than anticipated, but was ok as it was just the two of us. The bathroom however, although clean, was very cold - not just the floor tiles, but the room itself, felt like a draft was coming in.

We also did not get our room cleaned / made-up on day 2, and had to phone the front desk for towels and find our own toilet paper. Was advised that for housekeeping services we had to let them know that this was something we wanted done, which always never the case at any of or previous hotel stays.

We also noted that there was no key card access needed to enter the building from the back door, which led right into our hallway - there was a card swipe lock, but the door would just open.

All and all, average stay, likely not to book there again.

Room was very small, ok for one or two people maximum. Cell service and wifi reception was very poor in this room as well as it was below ground level. Heater was loud and startled us a couple times in the night as well. It was however very clean, bathroom was really nice with a large shower with good water pressure. Staff were all friendly .

The temperature outside was -20, so maybe it just can’t handle that, or we needed to wait longer for warm air. We did wait 15 minutes and it was still blowing cold air, so we turned it off

I stayed at this hotel for one night during a business trip. The hotel itself was nice and the room was generally comfortable.

However, I was very disappointed with a few things. The in-room coffee machine was extremely dirty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years, which was honestly disgusting. The hotel also advertises a continental breakfast, but what was offered was very disappointing and not what I expected.

Additionally, I stayed in room 122 and the bathroom exhaust fan was very loud and should be replaced with a quieter one.

I was switched to this hotel from the Best Western in Orillia, and unfortunately, I was not happy with the overall experience despite the comfortable room.

The front desk person was very courteous and efficient. The room I was given however was not what I had reserved. The room was supposed to have a fireplace but the room I got is very, very small and no fireplace. I am too weary to say anything about it so I can't really blame the hotel since I didn't give them a chance to correct it. The room is nice and clean and quiet - so all is good.

Parking lot was not maintained, neither was front entrance. There was a sheet of ice on the front stairs and ramp. While using the lobby, I had a staff continously asking and confirming whether or not I had a room and was therefore a guest.

The representative dueing check out was lovely, however, the remaining staff could use coaching on customer service. The hotel itseld is nice, the room was small but very clean and appeared to be recently renovated. Again, outside was in poor condition and unsafe.
