Room photos overstate reality - staff don’t care.

Room photos don’t match reality. More seriously, the hotel manager and reception staff disingenuously blamed hotels.com for the inaccuracy! Photos of all room categories present an additional living area - that does not exist. When making the booking, I noted there were no “suite” category rooms, further suggesting that the additional living area was real. Only it is not. The property’s listing also inaccurately claims there to be two parking options - one that is free (although not full height) and one charged at €14 / day. The free option does not exist. And again, hotel staff didn’t care that listing accuracy is their responsibility and requires truthful information.

The air conditioner never worked after repeated requests through calling the front desk and messaging the property. I received a \"NO AC\" and was hung up on by two female front desk agents. The property was under construction, so the quiet atmosphere was only at night. Jackhammers and scissor lifts all day.

This is one of the best Paradors I have stayed at. Beautifully appointed, lovely fresh flowers everywhere, including a small greenery in a glass container in the bathroom. Very large and comfortable room. Expansive communal corridors outside the rooms to relax in. Paid parking available and plenty of free street parking. It is next to the Plaza Mayor so right in the centre of things, but very tranquil inside the building and grounds.

Lovely parador hotel. Not much to do in the area, we used it as a stopping point on our way to Segobriga. Excellent breakfast and some restaurant choices in the square next door.

Lovely, peaceful atmosphere

We loved this Parador which has the most beautiful courtyard gardens and a lovely, peaceful atmosphere. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff were polite and friendly. Our only criticism is that we were not told at the time of booking that the swimming pool is open seasonally and will not open this year until around 15th June.

It was difficult to get to the Parador by car as it was a Sunday and some roads were closed due to the volume of visitors. Once we got to the hotel on foot the staff were extremely helpful and we were able to explain the best way to drive in by removing the temporary barriers in the road! An excellent stay overall in a wonderful location.

Fabulous hotel in converted monastery

Utterly amazing hotel in a converted monastery just yards away from one of the prettiest plazas in Spain. The restaurant terrance overlooks the lovely private gardens which lead down to the enormous swimming pool. The whole place reeks of class.

This is a first rate hotel and one of the best paradors we have stayed at.Our criticism relates to the difficulty in finding it by car. Very easy to follow the signage from one direction but not others are some road signs are very misleading. Satnav also didn't seem to help.Staff are all delightful and super helpful

Luxurious hotel in charming town

I absolutely loved everything about this Parador. First of all, the building is beautiful. Our room was spacious, overlooked the courtyard and had a view of Chinchón’s castle. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There were several parking options nearby and the hotel was located right by the Plaza Mayor. The breakfast was fantastic and WiFi worked great. Hope to go back for a bullfight!

Very nice Parador in a small and quiet village. Good service and very good food. 30 minutes by car to the beautiful palace of Arranjuez. The weather was great but unfortunately the outside pool was already closed.

Good but could have been great

Overall a nice hotel with good service and easy access to/from Madrid/Toledo. Recommend eating there and especially the breakfast.
That being said, part of the reason for choosing the hotel was their garden and pool facilities. Unfortunately the pool was not filled and the garden could have used a caring hand. As such not a problem, however it was not advised anywhere we could find before booking. We would not have booked if we had known. As we were specifically looking for these facilities, it did make a difference to our experience, which was otherwise nice.

Beautiful hotel and food

The property has loads of character. The room was spacious, brilliant air-conditioning and a great view over the gardens. There is a terrace bar. The service was excellent. We choose to eat in the restaurant and we weren't disappointed. The location is fabulous a few yards from the plaza (a bull ring) loads of local restaurants to enjoy a quiet drink and tapas. Will definitely be coming back

Setting the standard for Paradores

The Parador at Chinchon is definitely one of the best that we have stayed at. It has history and character. The attractive grounds include a terraced garden and swimming pool - though a tad chilly to use in September.
Breakfasts are first rate - one of few Paradores offering a cooked breakfast.
Would definitely return.

Nice, quiet hotel

Nice quiet hotel right off the main plaza in Chinchon. We were there in the winter and arrived later in the evening, so there wasn't much to see/do in the town itself, but the Parador was very nice if you're looking for a quiet place to stay outside Madrid. The drive into the city the next day was about 45 minutes, so it's a good option for a country-like hotel not far from Madrid.

Wonderful Parador! Off the tourist track but situated in a very charmingly different town. Sixty easy minutes by car from Barabas airport so a nice last night in Spain. One of the nicest historic Paradors we have stayed in!

The hotel itself is very nice, clean, comfortable, beautiful patio and garden. Breakfast buffet is OK, espresso machine does not work, cappucino is so.so. Dinner was a complete disaster. Go to the Plaza Mayor and you\"ll have a great dinner (try local wines.... amazing) for a very very very reasonable price (smoked wild boar for starter, ajoli soup is fantastic).

Great hotel. Like with all \"paradores\" excellent! good location, Chichon is a very interesting little town.Loads of restaurants and cafes around the main square. Shame the parking is extra, but it's easy enough to find street parking nearby. Only 1hr away from Madrid airport!

We were allocated a large room overlooking the gardens. I think they were expecting three not two of us. The mattresses were hard, dinner was available a tad late at 20.30 but room service food was of good standard. Breakfast on the terrace next morning was plentiful and casual. Overall we were more than happy. I suspect parking may present aroblem during busy times. The surrounding area is interesting for the first time visitor but not otherwise. Very hilly. The main square was being prepared for a bull fight so we didn't hang around too long!

A Spanish oasis!

Very helpful on arrival and departure, particularly in relation to car parking. For us, there was no rush to check out. We were able to keep our room until midday even though check-in starts from midday. Clearly the staff use their initiative and are as helpful as they can be.
Good bar and restaurant service. Beautiful swimming pool.

A great place to stop on your way to Madrid airport with only a further 50 minutes or so to go.

A very picturesque town to stroll around.

Hôtel magnifique en plein Centre de Chinchon. A L’entrée les décorations est du style monastère avec des statuettes religieuses. Il y a une magnifique patio avec des chaises en fer forgé du style romain antique, un hôtel de très haute qualité. Les chambres sont assez spacieux, salle de bain typiquement espagnol. Le petit-déjeuner est très copieux, vous avez le choix en buffet du Sucré et du Salé. Le café vous pouvez le boire avec Filtre ou Capsule. Si vous avez la demi-pension, vous avez la possibilité de choisir vous-même vos Repas à Midi ou le Soir. Vous êtes servie comme dans un vrai restaurant étoilé en terrasse, on vous sert du pain à 3 ingrédients (Maïs, Foncé ou Blanc), vous recevez une carte avec 2 menus avec Entrée, Plats et desserts, mais le serveur vous explique bien en détail comment fonctionne la carte du menu, car pas toutes les plats sont inclus dans la demi-pension, il vous sera demandé de payer un supplément de 5€ à 20€ en fonction des plats choisis, les boissons sont payantes. Nuit d'étape - en route vers la 'Costa Tropical'.
Néanmoins, avons pu gouter à tout le confort de l'établissement. Personnel aux pts soins, et très attentionné. Nombreux jardins où s'isoler - si besoin, tranquillité assurée. Piscine de rêve, dans un décor unique ! Cet ancien couvent a su conserver toute son âme. La déco ne dénote aucunement. Pt-dej - très complet (buffet), café en cafetière apportée à table ! pris en terrasse, sous les arbres, face au jardin. Si l'okkaz se (re)présente, on y court les yeux fermés.
