Beautiful Hotel and Garden. Get a Garden Room.

We have stayed at this Hotel a number of times.
Unfortunately this time we were put on a street room.
It was so noisy it was unbelievable, we couldn’t open
The windows. The air con was also noisy.
The room also did have a broken shower.
The breakfast is lovely and always a lot of choice, sit in the garden and look round it’s beautiful, the waiter will always give you some of his beautiful Home Made Apple Cake. We Object to Garage charge this is part of the Hotel so Why?

Lovely stay in an original Spanish town.

A beautiful typical Spanish property in the middle of town, with all the amenities necessary for a lovely stay. Original features, comfortable spacious bedroom & bathroom, the buffet breakfast & breakfast room catered for all needs. The hotel provided good WiFi through out. Access to the centre of town with plenty of places to eat.

A real old Spanish hotel

The hotel is very near the centre of the beautiful old town. It's clean and decorated in keeping with the building and area. Unfortunately they don't serve an evening meal but there are several good restaurants in the main square many of which have balconies overlooking the square. The streets are narrow and access to the parking is a little tight but unless you have a very large car don't let this put you off.

Lovely hotel in a charming town

We arrived at the Hotel Condesa de Chinchón late at night and were welcomed in a nice friendly way by the receptionist. Our room was quite spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable, with all the facilities we needed, and we enjoyed our 3 night stay there very much. Breakfast was excellent value at 8 Euros each and was plentiful, varied, and perfect for us to start each day.
The location was great; a 2 minute walk brought us into the fabulous Plaza Mayor which, on first sight, was stunning. We explored the town and ended up there in the evenings to enjoy a drink to round off the day. The atmosphere was lovely.
We wanted to go to another nearby town (Morata de Tajuna) and found that Chinchon was well served by bus. So next time we stay in Chinchon we'll go into Madrid by bus.
Overall we had a lovely stay in Chinchon at the Hotel Condesa de Chinchón and hope to go back there. Excellent value and highly recommended.

Reasonable 3 star hotel in a fine old building close to the central square of Chinchon. The room was a good size and the bathroom was very clean and fitted out well. We would have preferred a double bed with duvets but, like a lot of hotels in Spain only sheets and blankets are provided. The bad points are lack of tea and coffee in the room, no receptionist when we arrived to check in and garage parking for which a charge is made but we were not told this until check out. We didn't use the restaurant because of poor reviews.

Chinchon Stay.

We have stayed here several times when travelling from Santander to the Costa Blanca. It is quiet and and situated in a small Spanish town just south of Madrid. Parking is secure underground at the hotel, and is not expensive for Spain. Like all underground hotel carparks you have to be careful when you drive in and out. The hotel is very comfortable and just across the road from a Spanish \"fast food\" type restaurant. There are other more upmarket restaraunts in the nearby Plaza. It is not an easy hotel to find, as the satnav often takes you the more difficult route, but when you know the way it is not difficult. The price of staying has risen quite a bit this year, but at the moment we would definitely stay there again.

I cannot understand the rating of this hotel. Overall was a bit unpleasant. On top of that, the room was noisy because of a garage door in the building just in front. Breakfast was poor. The only positive is that location is very good.

I reviewed this hotel three years ago a and gave it a 5 star rating. I have stayed there often since with no complaints. However our recent visit was not as pleasing. I was unable to get the air conditioning to work on our return in the evening, which made for an uncomfortable night, hence only 3 stars for room comfort. There was also no wifi available in our room, apparently it was due to a \"Telefonica connection fault\". Whatever, we were left without it for our stay. Hopefully this is just a blip, and we have had so many good stays here, it won't stop us from returning.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my husband in room 203 & it was perfect for us. Comfortable bed, air condition that works and the whirlpool bath was a treat! Breakfast in the morning was lovely as you can sit outside in the garden and with very good breakfast selections. The staff at the reception were very helpful.

Great Location

We stayed one night enroute to Bilbao to break up our journey from Lliber on the Costa Blanca to Bilbao. The hotel is in an excellent position, close to the Plaza Mayor where there are a host of restaurants with balconies overlooking the square. The room we had was spacious and comfortable and overlooked the rear courtyard. We had the 4 euro breakfast buffet which wasexcellent. Overall a very good hotel.

Great hotel, close to all amenities

Surprised at how interesting Chinchon was having passed the signs for this place many times whilst driving along the motorway and never giving it a thought.
The square and history were incredible, it was an overnight stay and fleeting visit but now aware of the place and the hotels position and facilities look forward to returning and taking more time to view the place on another visit.

A visit to Chinchon, Spain

We had the last available room having booked at short notice. We were delighted with the room and the receptionist was very helpful when she realised that my wife needed medical attention following a fall. The room was comfortable and the choice of breakfast was extensive. Neither lunch nor dinner was available, and very few snacks to munch. The bar was open throughout the day for drinks. The underground car park was handy but a challenge for drivers with large cars. I would give an overal rating of eighty percent. Unusually for hotels, the beds were really comfortable.

Overall we found the hotel to be excellent. the room was of a very high standard. The setting was lovely and it was very enjoyable to relax with a cold drink in the courtyard. The only thing I would change another time would be to get a room overlooking the courtyard. Our room overlooked a side street that was surprisingly noisy BUT given that we paid a bargain price and we chose to have the balcony door open all night rather than use air con I really dont have any cause to complain. The jacuzzi bath was quite an experience and maybe some instructions would have prevented me flooding the bathroom! I would highly reccomend Condesa De Chinchion and would definitely stay there again. Thanks

Lovely Hotel IN Chinchon, Spain

The Condesa de Chinchon is a lovely hotel conveniently located near the town. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. There were English-speakers. The room was large and comfortable. In addition, there is a parking lot under the hotel for a small fee per day with in and out privileges. The town of Chinchon is a photographic gem as well with a plaza that once a year is a bull ring, and with a wide choice of restaurants a, bars, and shops. There is even a castle.

The Condesa de Chinchon - best hotel in Spain

The staff were very polite and spoke English too which was a bonus, as we needed to arrange an international interview while there. The rooms were cleaned to a very high standard and helped us feel relaxed as soon as we arrived. Perfect location. 50 meters from the Plaza Mayor. We wished that we'd booked more nights here!

One disappointing thing was the restaurant that is \"connected\" to the hotel by name, but is located in the main square. The service was poor, location was good, the food average and extremely overpriced. Worst meal on the trip by far.

Condesa de Chinchon, Chinchon.

We stayed here in September, 2011. Very good value hotel, well located near the Plaza Mayor, and within easy walking distance of plenty of eating places, so we didn't eat in the hotel. The room was very comfortable. Only drawback being the village clock tower, which strikes on the hour every hour, twice. However it didn't seem to bother us.
Not a lot in Chinchon itself, though it does have a well preserved main square dating back to the 15th century, and in September the square is given over to being a bullring, to celebrate the month of the bulls. We used it as a stopping off point on our journey south from Bilbao. There is a bus service into Madrid, roughly 45 minutes away.
If you want to stay somewhere really Spanish, I would recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed a couple of days ,staying at the Condesa Hotel and were pleasantly surprised at the cost of two nights B&B, which was half the price of a city hotel (not half as characterful) for one night in Madrid.
In this case, we did not take up the offer of a discount on a meal in the nearby restaurant since we found the attitude of the staff there surly, arriving as we did at a typical English 8.30pm which is far too early for Spaniards! Talking to an English couple the following day, our instincts were well founded as they did use the discount coupon offered at reception and were very disappointed.
Have a look around the nearby Parador.

We only stayed one night but loved the hotel and the village. We asked for a double room and the only one they had incurred an upgrade costing 10 Euros which was well worth it as the room was beautiful. A couple of mins walk from the centre, staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Precioso hotel, muy buen servicio, inteligente, pequeños detalles como el bidet con la toallita, si ponen una cafetera, un albornoz con pantuflas y otros pequeños detalles en el baño como espejo de aumento, es un hotelazo de cuatro estrellas. Una genial opción para conocer Chinchón.

Un hotel muy cuqui y muy bien ubicado (justo enfrente del Parador y a unos 50m de la plaza).
El baño es muy cómodo y las camas también. Como único punto a mejorar sería el ruido que hace el Aire Acondicionado-Calefacción. Pero funciona bien, calienta la habitación en poco tiempo.
También recomendaría dar información sobre precio y horario del restaurante y el desayuno.

Todo ha sido muy correcto, de todas formas considero que en las habitaciones superiores como en la que estuve el desayuno deberia estar incluido en el precio y no tener que pagarlo aparte. Por otro lado en las recepciones en un pueblo se debe comentar un poco de la ciudad. No como.un guia turistico sino a nivel orientador. El resto todo bien.
