Lovely hotel , staying in October outside of any school holidays, so hotel not too busy , plenty of sun loungers, attentive staff, place felt very clean, tidy and well maintained. The all inclusive was excellent, enjoyed working though the cocktail menu. Good dining options, the app was very useful - should promote that more, with QR codes etc.. in reception. Friendly reception, very helpful booking taxis. Few times we got taxi to Kos town, then walked back. All very flat - so easy walking. Booked excursion and went to Zia for sunset in the mountains, which was beautiful. Also managed to squeeze in boat ride to Bodrum, Turkey. Overall really impressed with Kos and would certainly come back and stay at the same hotel. Indoor adult pool in the spa was a hidden gem. If the outdoor pools were a few degrees warmer I’d have swam in them more, but the sea was a little warmer and beautiful, so clear.. happily swam in the sea everyday - hotel is in great spot to enjoy the sea.

Food was amazing, excellent options especially for vegetarians. Rooms were old school but comfortable. Cleanliness of the room wasn’t 100 per cent. Each day I had to ask for fresh towels and to change the sheets, it wasn’t done automatically. Staff were exceptional, so helpful and fun and nice to the kids. The lack of air conditioning in the common areas and also the kids club was an issue. Also eating at the pool bar was often extremely hot and there was no air ventilation. The hotel is amazing but they need to work on the lack of air conditioning especially in summer. The rooms were stocked with alot of storage. Lovely atmosphere, the vibe was really relaxed and fun. Amazing guests and overall we loved our stay.

This is a lovely property in a great position right on the beach. It’s not 5 star but a solid 4 star, it’s clean, has good facilities, feels safe and the all-inclusive offering is very good. Would be really good if travelling with kids, maybe not so good for a romantic getaway as a couple because there were a lot of kids even outside of the school holidays.

Would definitely recommend the all inclusive as the prices for food and drink are high otherwise.

Pools are really nice, beach well kept, but you will need to be up early if you want a lounger by a pool - all claimed by 7am! More easy to get one on the beach, at most times of day

The bar and live entertainment is far too loud. They play live music until 11:30 and DJ until midnight. It is loud in your room. We asked management to turn it down as the hotel was very quiet and no one was watching it and our children were unwell and wanted to sleep. Management refused, the manager refused to meet us and simply stated under greek law they can play music. It's a pity as it's a nice hotel, the management are however rude and couldn't care less.

This place is so beautiful! I would definitely come back if I visit Kos again. We were probably the only American family out of the many European countries that were there but that made us feel even more like VIP! My upgrade was phenomenal! Food was phenomenal! My children did not want to leave! Beach is not the best because it’s not very shallow and there’s rocks but the pools are the main thing! There’s even a little island of sand in between the pools if you really want sand! Entertainment at 10pm was nice! Everything was just really beautiful!! The only thing I would like to point out is the smoke detector in room 617 should be replaced. This is a life saving device and not having one could be life or death God forbid! Anyway!! Thank you so much for such an enjoyable experience!

Really recommend this property for families. Lovely accommodation, great food, lots of space, great kids club and amazing drinks. Highly recommend the all inclusive as there isn’t much close by to have dinner or lunch.

Really nice stay, couple of disappointing things was the food for dinner and lunch at the main buffet restaurant. As vegetarians the options were not great and repetitive. The staff at check in were not extremely helpful to tell you about the hotel and its amenities. Not explaining kids clubs or activities during the day or eve or even navigating us to where things where. Overall a very nice hotel, staff friendly and helpful when and very clean.

The hotel has everything you could need and staff are always helpful and friendly. The food is amazing and lots of options. Kos Town is walking distance but there is also a bus stop right outside and electric scooters to hire which are cheap and easy to use. The pools are really nice with lots of sunbeds available and the beach is attached to the hotel. Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

Would Visit Again!

Grecotel is a BEAUTIFUL property! it has many pools varying for your needs. Its a kid-friendly hotel, but not designed exclusively for kids.

Of note, like many other beaches on the island, this is a rocky beach, water shoes recommended!

Also, if you do book on Hotels.com or a 3rd party site and don't opt in for all-inclusive, its worth exploring, as the hotel itself doesn't have much to offer since its situated away from most major towns.

Very beautiful hotel , on the beach . Lovely clean pools . Amazing staff . Tasty food and drinks. Exceptional kids entertainment .
The only problem is a smell coming from outside the hotel but the hotel is dealing with this issue . Check with the hotel before booking .
Other than this , possibly one of the best in the world for families .

We stayed here for 5 days and were not quite happy with the service. The rooms are old even though the furniture looks modern. The see is not rough but it gets deep quite quickly so you need to watch out. The bed was uncomfortable. We were given a room that had a door connecting to the next room, so would hear pretty much everything going on the next door. When we asked for a room change because of the noise we were told that this was not an adults only hotel and asked to come back next day. When I expressed my frustration by saying we would not be spending our holiday with regular trips to the reception every day, a guy from the guest services came and talked to us. He called someone and spoke in Greek for a while after which he offered us an upgrade (!), which would be available only the next day after breakfast as the guest occupying the room would leave early morning. We went to the reception after breakfast and were shown the room by a staff member to see if we like it. The room was not cleaned as promised. Yet it didn’t feel like an upgrade as it was only larger than our room but looked older. We ended up staying in our room. The breakfast was really nice, and the staff in the restaurant tried their best to please the customers. I didn’t bother to fill the satisfaction survey we were sent on our last days as I didn’t feel that it mattered to the hotel anyway. Overall, nice food and pools but need investment and improvement in the quality of service.

Absolutely stunning resort, we could not believe our luck when we saw how good it was for the price we paid. Yes the gorgeous swimming pools are filled with sea water, but when they are that nice you don't really care. Then onto the breakfasts, absolutely anything you could possibly want for breakfast was on offer, all very tasty and excellently made. The evening bar was stylish and classy with some pleasant entertainment, not necessarily my cup of tea, but very nice in the background. The staff are amazing and if you needed any help, they would do anything they could do to sort it out. Will definitely be returning again!

We were surprisingly upgraded to a suite which was wonderful!
Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice..spa was very pleasent.
Wifi was a little weak but not a problem because it was only in in reception area.
Reception staff were exceptionally efficient.

This was a resort 14 years ago. It is not a luxury resort. The service is excellent but everything else is mediocre. The room condition is not good, very old hard beds, old buildings with many bugs especially spiders. The pool area is very nice but the hot tub doesn't heat so they decided it's a cold tub now. There are so many better options in Greece! This is a 3.5 star hotel. We stayed 8 nights there. I will not return!

Great resort!!

This resort/spa was great! One of the best I have ever stayed for the price (and I have traveled a lot all around the world). Breakfast was fantastic. It included every breakfast food and not only you can imagine. The only problem was the Wi-Fi signal. It wasn't always the best. Overall, I definitely recommend it.

Exactly what we needed to get away from it all!

This is definitely one of the best - if not the best - places to stay on the island of Kos. Not a full 5 Star resort, but they are definitely trying to be. We had a couple of members of the reception staff that were constantly disappointing, but the managers & restaurant staff were exceptional. We brought some concerns to their attention and everything was handled in a swift and efficient fashion. If and when we go back to Kos, this resort will be first on our list of places to stay.

this hotel had some lovely features - particularly the water features around the main dining area and the choice of pools. Also the breakfast buffet and quality of food in the a la carte and fish restaurant were excellent. BUT, apart from the buffet, only the a la carte restaurant was open in the evening and you would be turned away even if the restaurant was half empty because you would have to wait too long to be served. Also, there were no alternatives other than a taverna across the road or a bus ride into Kos town. There was no mini bar, just a refrigerator, and you had to pay 5 euro per plate to receive room service. The bedroom had a modern style 4 poster bed but it swamped the room and hindered the TV view. There was a poor selection of toiletries - no hair conditioner in very hot weather. Drinks were expensive and you had to pay for everything extra ie to play tennis or use the sauna.

Very awesome customer service

The hotel met and exceeded our expectations. We were planning on staying in this resort but had not pre booked. When we aririved late in the evening we were warmly greeted and given free drinks while we waited for our room. The reception staff were amazing. My husband had a work crisis in north America during our stay and the reception was more than willing to print, copy, fax our documents to cananda with no hesitation. With out a doubt the breakfast was the most unreal experience ever. We have stayed in Mexican and Hawaiian 4 and 5 star resorts and this was by far the best breakfast ever. For the price this was an exceptional value and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return.

Enjoy the island of Kos

On previous numerous trips to Greece we visited many islands of this beautiful country and stayed at many 4- and 5-star hotels.This hotel is very nice and similar to other excellent hotels in Grecotel chain. It's not new but kept very well. We had an excellent room with a sea view.

There are two huge pools with sea water, lazy river, decent pebble beach and excellent conditions for windsurfing (one can learn it in five days at the water sports center). The beach is protected from the wind but once you are 50 yards in the sea the wind is strong and stable (10-12 knots) from 11am to 4pm. I was told that these conditions are typical for the months of July and August.

Breakfast and dinner at the hotel are offered at the main restaurant. You will find an amazing selection of local Greek dishes as well as international. Everything is fresh and tasty. A lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, like peaches, apricots, watermelon, melon, grapefruit, freshly squeezed juices (for extra charge, though). Nice selection of fish and meat dishes as well. Overeating at this hotel seems to be the main problem at least for me.

Mooie en complete accommodatie, super met de a la carte restaurants. Ook in het main restaurant heerlijk gegeten. Zwembaden zijn groot en mooi, leuk kinderzwembad wat helaas wel heel erg koud was. Verwarmen zou echt top zijn. Zeer vriendelijk en servicegericht personeel in de a la carte restaurants, poolbar en aan de balie. We hebben genoten!

A Disappointing Experience for Guests with Food Allergies

We were truly looking forward to our stay at Grecotel LuxMe in Kos, having heard great things about the property. However, our experience was deeply disappointing due to the hotel’s handling of my wife’s severe food allergies.

Before our arrival, we made multiple attempts to inform the hotel that my wife has life-threatening allergies to nuts, celery, and gluten (including coeliac disease). Despite this clear communication, the hotel staff did not seem adequately prepared or trained to handle her dietary needs safely.

On several occasions, we were told to simply eat from the buffet – something that is absolutely unacceptable and dangerous for someone with severe allergies and coeliac disease. Even worse, her food was sometimes taken directly from the buffet, raising serious concerns about cross-contamination. This approach is not only careless but grossly negligent, and it left us feeling extremely unsafe throughout our stay.

As a result, we often avoided meals altogether and felt uncomfortable and anxious during what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. For a hotel of this caliber, we expected better awareness and accommodation of medical dietary requirements.

We strongly urge Grecotel LuxMe Kos to train their staff properly on how to handle food allergies and coeliac disease. If such dietary restrictions cannot be safely managed, guests should be clearly informed in advance, rather than being placed at risk.

Hier muss man suchen, das man was findet! Es ist ein riesiger Komplex für viele Urlauber! Viele Nationalitäten unter einem Dach! Das Klientel ist aber gehoben! Essen ist Top! Die Themen-Restaurants sind auch sehr gut! Die Preise (falls man kein All-in hat) schon recht hoch! Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und das Personal ist super freundlich und zuvorkommend, trotz der teilweisen immer noch unentspannten Gäste! Die Liegen-Problematik ist auch hier gegeben, aber am Pool ist immer Personal welches hilft! Es wird zwar mit Schildern darauf hingewiesen, das keine Liegen reserviert werden dürfen und Handtücher eingesammelt werden, habe das aber nie beobachten können! Wir haben All-In vor Ort nachgebucht, welches mit Kinder und den Preisen ratsam ist. Lieder wurden bei Abreise die Getränke vom Anreise-Vormittag, obwohl für den Tag All-In mit gebucht wurde, zur Bezahlung ausgewiesen. Schon komisch, das die Buchung mit Zeitstempel und nicht tagesweise gelten. Hier wurde auf eine Bezahlung bestanden! Egal, wollte mich nicht am letzten Tag aufregen. Pools sind Salzwasser, ausser der Kleinkinder-Pool. Am Hauptpool den ganzen Tag Beschallung, aber am Ruhe-Pool wirklich Ruhe. Wir haben uns für den Strand entschieden, da hier kaum Liegen reserviert waren. In machen Bereichen müsste man mal reparieren. Aber, alles in allem ein rund um gelungener Urlaub! Kann dieses Hotel mit ruhigem Gewissen weiter empfehlen!!

Auf der schönen Terrasse konnte nicht ohne Wespen gefrühstückt werden. Sehr schade. Die Qualität und Auswahl des Buffett waren optimal.
Im Zimmer muss in der Badewanne geduscht werden. Temperatureinstellung des heissen Wassers war etwas schwierig. Die Aussenanlage der Fitnessgeräte ist sehr gut.

All-inclusive konsept som ikke fungerer

Dette er ikke et 5 stjernes hotell. Altfor stort til å kunne levere på det. Restaurant konseptet fungerte ikke. De selger seg på at de har 6 restauranter, flere ala carte og Fine-dining. Disse restaurantene måtte bestilles en uke i forveien ellers ble det ikke bord. Det var det ingen informasjon om på forhånd. Når vi omsider fikk bord var det mer set-menues enn ala carte, og veldig skuffende kvalitet og service. Kanskje med unntak av den Asiatiske uten navn. Kun frossene råvarer. Ikke engang fersk fisk som alle restauranter i Kos Town hadde tilgang til.
Den enorme hovedrestauranten var buffet konsept både Frokost, Lunch, Middag. I praksis var dette hotellet et all inclusive resort, med buffet som standard. Den store Tavernaen ved bassenget var også en slags lunchbuffet/cafe-restaurant, med masse kø og lite utvalg, med svært varierende service. Håpløst konsept. Frokost-bufferen fungerte bra. I våre to uker spiste vi kun 5 middager på hotellet og er svært glad for at vi kun hadde kjøpt bed & breakfast!
Rommene trenger oppgradering. Ble bygget i en helt annen tid. Særlig badet var utdatert med en slags dusj i badekaret som ble svært ukomfortabelt når vi var 4 voksne mennesker som delte en to roms Luxury Suite med felles bad.
Fasilitetene på resorten var fine. Mange store og fine basseng. Flott og velholdt hageanlegg og fine bygninger på hele området. Stranden var bra hvis man liker stenstrand.
Hotellet ligger svært usentralt. Ingenting i umiddelbar nærhet.

Frühstück super Auswahl. Für jeden etwas bei.
Getränke sehr teuer.
Unser Zimmer war dicht an der Küche, dadurch immer Küchengerüche im Zimmer.
Personal sehr zuvorkommend.
Die Pumpe vom Spar ist von 7:00 Uhr morgens bis Mitternacht sehr laut gelaufen. Wir mussten immer das Zimmer geschlossen halten.

Schöner Strand, allerdings wie oft in Griechenland sehr grobe Steine.
Leider richt es je nach Wetter und Wind etwas stark nach der naheliegenden Kläranlage. Am Strand unten richt man davon nichts.

Nice resort

Overall we had a good stay at the Grecotel. Only downside: the beds were quite old and uncomfortable, but it seems they were in the process of changing those. When we complained about our bed, they came and installed a new one (which was much, much better) in very short time. Also, some of the decor in the rooms were fairly old, and the shower head looked like it had been there since 1976. These are things you don't expect from a 5 star resort.

Negatives aside (yes, the hotel is a bit old, but otherwise ...): The outside looks beautiful and the gardens are really nicely kept. The hotel also has its own beach with plenty of sunbeds. It has a well equipped gym and also overall a nice feel to it. However, the surrounding area is pretty vast, so you will need a scooter or a bike to get into Kos town (about 4 km). However, there is a taverna right outside of the hotel, which we can highly recommend. Taverna Romeo. Romeo and his family are some of the nicest people we have met. Romeo himself is the friendliest and most attenative restaurant owner you could ever meet. Go there and you won't be dissapointed!

Ein Absolutes Paradis

Dieses Hotel ist die schönste Anlage, in der ich je war. Ich komme selbst aus der Branche und kenne viele World leading Hotels, für mich gehört dies definitiv dazu!Hier stimmt einfach alles!Man wird herzlichst mit einem leckeren Willkomensdrunk begrüßt und dann von persönlich vom Guest Relation zum Zimmer begleitet! Ein Wein,Wasser und Obst stehen in Zimmer. Die Poollandschaft ist traumhaft! Alle Restaurants sind sehr schön und man sitzt wirklich überall romantisch am Wasser!Das Essen ist der Wahnsinn! Sehr vielfältig und sehr lecker! Unabhängig von dem absoluten Traumflair, möchte ich am meisten hervorheben, dass das, was den Aufenthalt so extrem besonders gemacht hat, ALLE Angestellten waren! Ich habe noch nie so herzliche, gutgelaunte,fleißige Angestellten erlebt! Man fühlt sich richtig zu Hause und willkommen!
Mein Vater kam ins Krankenhaus und Katarina(Guestrelation), Eva(Rezeption) und sogar der Hotelmanager Herr Bisas waren in dieser Situation meine Helferengel! Sie haben mir so sehr geholfen und mich aufgefangen, dass war wirklich was ganz besonderes! Dieser Urlaub wird meinem Vater und mir immer unvergesslich schön in Erinnerung bleiben und das vor allem wegen all dieser tollen Menschen! Danke!

Tweede keer dit jaar genoten van de schitterende accommodatie van Grecotel.
Kamers zijn wel wat verouderd maar neemt niet weg dat het een echte aanrader is.

Bel hôtel bien situé

Hotel bien situé à 5 minutes de la ville en voiture.
La plage est sympa, les nombreuses piscines sont très bien
Le petit déjeuner est génial.
La thalassothérapie est jolie mais pas terrible.
Les chambres sont grandes et une bouteille de vin avec des fruits sont offert à notre arrivée.
L animation est discrète mais quotidienne
Bref qualité prix excellent

Beautiful hotel, mediocre rooms, far too expensive

The hotel is a very nice structure composed by different buildings, the general impression is of low visual impact, with beautiful gardens and pools,and a nice pebble beach with clear waters. Buffet breakfast is good. Staff was friendly.
But the rooms are definitely NOT corresponding to what one expects for LUXURY: beds are not comfortable, and furniture in the room and balcony is more like a 3star hotel.
Facilities like Spa or water sports are all extra and expensive.
I spent 1000€ for 4nights with breakfast in late August, in a small double room with my husband and my 6years old daughter!
I expected luxury ( Makedonia Palace in Thessaloniki is better for less) so I was really disappointed.

Fast alles perfekt!

Das Personal war ausnahmslos freundlich un zuvorkommend.
Das Frühstücksbüffet sehr reichlich und alles lecker.
Die gesamte Atmosphäre lädt einfach zu einem erholsamen Urlaub ein!

Etwas ärgerlicher war allerdings das ewige Reservieren von Liegen an Pool und Strand, was natürlich weniger am Hotel, sondern an den Gästen liegt. Vielleicht sollte dies nicht gestattet und mit einem Hinweis darauf aufmerksam gemacht werden.
