Overall great property very convenient to visit caceres super beautiful city. Staff super attentive great breakfast. Room was fine (not superb) but for the price very satisfied.

On the downside, few spaces for sitting to work or else, there is one fairly small library/lounge not enough for the property size. Summer time with high temperatures pool should be open until sunset (10pm) it closes at 8pm.

Excellent staff. The room was in most respects good, but we hated it being two levels, with a flight of stairs to the bed. The restaurant was poor and we didn’t like that breakfast didn’t start until 8:00, although they did provide a limited cold breakfast at 7:00.

Not just a hotel, but an oasis! After an overnight flight and then a 3+ hour drive from Madrid airport, Hotel Hospes de Palacio Arenales & Spa was just what we needed. We luxuriated by the pool and were fortified with snacks and drinks at the pool bar. We also booked an hour in the spa, which was refreshing. The staff was unfailingly polite and helpful. The only negative was that there was a Saturday night wedding, and we could hear some of the guests noisily tromping through the hallways at 2am.

This hotel is like an oasis in the desert. The location is spectacular and there are plenty of walks to go on with the dogs. The staff are ultra friendly and the facilities are second to none. We have been coming here for many years and it has never disappointed us. They opened the outside swimming pool while we were there and that was an added bonus

I am very very picky and only stay in familiar chain hotels. Took a gamble and hit the jackpot staying here. Exceeded my expectations. The ONLY annoying thing was the twin beds pushed together which did not work. Other than that this is a top tier resort with a lot of attention to the most minute details. I would highly recommend this resort to the picky traveler like me.

A great experience.

The hotel has a delightful ambience. Set in open country with livestock and storks for company it provides a lovely retreat from the close, but not heard, north/south motorway. We chose it for its convenience as a stop over journeying south through Spain. Dinner was a treat and the breakfast offered a wide choice to suit all tastes and including such things as branded cereals with cooked options too which isn't always the case in Spain. The bacon and eggs were really tasty. Would definitly visit again.

Wonderful facilities; the pool and spa was excellent but would be good to allow kids to be able to swim for more than a few hours per day.

The room was large and airy. The dinner at the restaurant was superb; only area of improvement is the staff seemed overwhelmed with the number of diners and took a while to get service.

This is a truly beautiful hotel where you can come to recharge your batteries. The rooms are lovely and spacious and the staff are very friendly and attentive. We had booked a Junior Suite which was on two floors and my only criticism is that when you stand up from the sofa you can easily bang your head on the stairs, which both myself and my husband did! The hotel provided beds and bowls for our two fur babies and they even gave them a treat each which was a lovely touch. We visited out of season so it was very quiet. The food is also delicious and although there wasn’t a huge choice, what we had was lovely. We will definitely be back

Arrival checkin was tough as the reception didn’t speak English very well. When we were shown to our room he didn’t explain a/c controls very well so the room was v hot on arrival. I then sought out some cups in the room as there were non in sight simply plastic cups, the restaurant staff offered me two crystal glasses for our tea! Then they offered us green tea or Jasmin. I gave up at this point. Eventually the night shift girl came to the room after explaining one hour later that we simply wanted a cup of english breakfast tea and for the a/c to be cooler.
She was great and brought us some black tea, and milk, but it was hot so we gave in and accepted what was given.
The room however was spacious and sunken bath great but difficult to get out of without skilful manoeuvring, having had a hip replaced I didn’t want another!
The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very quiet so full marks to the establishment there.
We were only there for the night but overall it was value for money, oh yes and free parking too.

The room was very nice, as was the bathroom. The spa was excellent. There was a big problem with the food however and, as such, I can’t give this hotel five stars. After a long drive we checked in and wanted dinner around 6:30 pm. We were told that the kitchen didn’t open until 8 pm but, on further enquiry, we were told that the bar in the hotel served tapas. We went and had a drink in the bar and chose some Tapas dishes only to be informed that they weren’t available until, yes you’ve guessed it, 8 pm when the kitchen was open! Our only choice was a small 8 inch pizza which arrived straight out of the packet and into the oven and was probably the worst pizza ever. Pathetic. We then chose a desert, again not available until after 8 pm, so we were served an ice cream lolly from the freezer, which was 10 times tastier than the pizza. Went to bed hungry and somewhat disappointed with the service in this hotel which otherwise would have been very enjoyable.
Breakfast was great; perhaps the chef had stayed on all night to cook it for us in the morning.

Open space carpark 50M next to the spa is free but underground sheltered carpark is chargeable. Room has everything needed and toiletries are nice and generous but note there is no temperature control and air conditioning at this time of the year,

A relaxing escapade

We were searching for quiet comfortable hotel with a SPA close to Cáceres and we were definitively spot on.
The service was impeccable, super nice staff and good breakfast. Rooms and building in general were very clean.
The SPA is also quite good for a hotel SPA. The pool is bigger than in many other hotels offering similar services.

While transportation is needed to go visit Cáceres, it is just a few minutes away. It is also just a few minutes from the amazing Vostell Malpartida museum.

Excellent hotel, loved the location and beautiful old building, we stayed on the lower level which were originally the stables!
Decor was beautiful and we were given a one hour spa booking which was lovely before we drove into town for dinner. Staff was great and although some didn't speak English we were able to communicate with our little knowledge of Spanish. The room was very comfortable and we we slept so well and were impressed with the beautiful town and all the hospitality from the locals. Definitely was not expecting much but was very satisfied and would come back here for a a longer stay one day!!! Gracias

This was a one night stop off for us en route to The Algarve. It's a beautiful place in a lovely setting, ideal for relaxing. The staff are very attentive. The buildings have been tastefully renovated and decorated.
Unfortunately for us we were forced to share the common space with a very noisy, ill behaved (screaming) toddler.

Relaxing is the word

Arriving we were offered a glass of cava and also a glass of water. Getting to my room the aroma o f lavender I kept breathing. Felt so relaxed. We were able to use the spa for an hr which the receptionist mentioned it and reserved the spa for us. Also, we were able to have dinner and the restaurant they have. The bread,olive oil from the region was soo good! our meal was excellent! The waiters were very attentive and so courteous. We were definitely return. Thwhole staff were wonderful.

We did enjoy the stay as we had driven a long way and the spa was just what we needed. A short trip into town which was enjoyable. The room was excellent with good bed and en-suite , clean and not a bad outlook. We were disappointed with the evening meal , the restaurant was empty so we should have guessed!

How to get it wrong without trying

An ideal convenient location for travel. A lot of money has been spent on converting a former monastery into a spa resort so it would be helpful if they could get their own post code correct and then people would be able to find it on the Sat Nav. No wonder it was practically empty in peak season. The hotel as a consequence has dumbed down investment in service and maintenance and boy does it show. The customer service was amongst the worst we have experienced

La limpieza de la habitación en el segundo dia no se hizo, después de que colgamos el aviso antes de ir a desayunar y volvimos y no se había hecho la limpieza, después dimos un paseo por los alrededores del hotel y tampoco se hizo. Como queríamos descansar decidimos que no se limpiara. Creo que deberían dar prioridad a los habitaciones que tienen estancia continua.

El trato del personal en todo momento fue muy atento y cordial. Las habitaciones son acogedoras y lo mejor de todo con diferencia la cama y su restaurante donde se come espectacular. Lo que más valoro de esta cadena es el acceso al Spa y con los tiempos que corren tienen estupendas medidas Covid limitando el acceso y la capacidad para que la estancia sea más segura.
Los aspectos a mejorar son la limpieza de la tetera y accesorios del aseo como puede ser el secador. Y otro aspecto que no me agrado fue que solo pudimos solicitar el desayuno para que nos lo sirvieran en la habitación el primer día ya que no repusieron ningún día más el display donde se puede solicitar. Considero que un hotel de 5🌟 se diferencia sobre todo por los servicios que prestan y lo más importante sus detalles. Y en este caso lo más negativo era la limpieza y reposición de los artículos en la habitación. No obstante el personal y la estancia fue muy placentera y si tenemos oportunidad sin duda volveremos

Nous sommes venus en famille pour seulement une nuit car nous étions sur notre trajet de vacances. Hôtel et restaurant grandioses. Toute la famille a été sous le charme.
