Firstly, the hotel is well located near the sites. The rooms are clean and quite attractive. Found the one housekeeping staff to be quite lovely and helpful.
However, the desk staff could not have been ruder. Barely responded to questions and was overtly hostile.
We had to ask twice for more TP as if we were an inconvenience.
I generally don’t mind if staff are benign but it was so overt that it made an impact. While the room was tidy and comfortable, the public areas and bathrooms were not.
Also, the rooms are operated by an iPad which was barely visible making it difficult to manage controls. Our A/C was lackluster.
A real mixed bag.

The hotel and room were great, spacious & had all the necessary amenities. The breakfast was great, staff friendly, helpful and professional. The only downside was the area, which was pretty rundown & seedy. We came across many druggies & alcoholics coming to and from this hotel. The hotel is fairly central though and once past the surrounding area, within walking distance of lots of the historic buildings and places of interest.

Great experience overall and good value. Staff was incredibly helpful. Breakfast was good and shower was nice. Bed was comfortable and I really enjoyed the balcony. The neighborhood is busy so there will be some sort of city noise pretty much all night. Only one small elevator so sometimes you have to wait a couple of minutes if the stairs are not a good option. The lighting controls in the room are operated by tablet which is kind of annoying but certainly not a deal breaker. I walked to the Acropolis from here without issue.

We booked a King bed with city view, but the room is a king bed without any space from the two sides One side is against the wall and another side is against the furniture for desk, there is no night stands, no place for a water cup. We have to climb to the bed from bottom which is the first time see this kind of room configuration! The city view is blocked by another building, and all windows side is blocked by the bed, no chance to enjoy the view! There is no blanket in the room, need to request! BTW, the breakfast is no good neither! For 26 eu, it is not worth it. Overall, It is very disappointed! Will never back here again and won’t recommended! Thanks

Definitely not a 4-star hotel — more like an average 2–3 star. Staff are not concerned or helpful, and overall not worth staying here.
•Area: Feels unsafe at night with drunk or drugged people on the streets. They don’t bother you, but it’s uncomfortable, especially if you are alone.
•Hotel: Old and new sections exist, but photos online show only the new part. If you’re placed in the old wing, you’ll be disappointed. Small, claustrophobic lift.
•Rooms: Odd layout with WC right next to the bed in some rooms, no exhaust in bathroom, so humidity builds. Tablet controls for lights/curtains are temperamental and uncased — risky with kids. Plastic cups for tea and disposable glasses for water (never seen in a so-called 4-star). Beds are just twins pushed together; they slide apart at night.
•Cleaning: Poor housekeeping — they only make the bed. Tea cups weren’t replaced for 3 days; I had to wash them myself.
•Breakfast: Cold, limited, and below even 2-star standards. No fresh bread, only one yogurt option, cold omelette, poor dessert — very disappointing given Greece’s food culture.

Verdict: Overpriced, overrated, and falsely marketed as 4-star. Would not recommend. Stay in Plaka or Monastriki. If you want to stay in omonia find another hotel closer to the station they are of similar price.

The staff were very nice and proactive. The room with the king sized bed was a bit cramped but the room with 2 twin beds was much wider. You can expect a kettle and a fridge but the fridge isn't very cold. The shower is spacious and there is a hanger for your clothes.

All staff were helpful,skilled, be there ready to help.
I was in 5 star hotel but didn't receive that I expected, so changed it and move to Casual hotel with low expectations, but I really happy did it .
For next time spending time in Athen will choose here again.
Prices are fair enough.

Nice hotel, good room - a little out of the way if you’re trying to see the main sights (Acropolis, etc…). The neighborhood wasn’t wonderful at night, but it wasn’t terrible either. Use your senses. The hotel did have a beautiful rooftop and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful!

The hotel staff was nice. They let me borrow a phone charger when I forgot my converter. An included breakfast was convenient and a nice touch. Room was very clean. The tablet that controls the lights, mood and blinds was not as reactive as I would’ve liked. I would have to touch several times to get it to work. The area around the hotel isnt great: there are a lot of homeless people however we felt safe walking round, visiting local restaurants , accessing convenience stores and using the metro. The hotel jas a securiry guard at the front door. We would have no hesitation in visiting the hotel again. The room was amazing and felt like a real treat to spend our final two days in after 3 weeks travelling around Greece.

Returned for my second stay at Kubic Brown, and would happily return next year! Athens is very walkable, therefore being placed near Omonoia wasn’t an issue. The staff are always very friendly and the breakfast is good. The side streets and those behind the hotel aren’t the nicest but be sensible and stick to the main streets, anywhere further at night I used Uber App and took a taxi cab with ease. The room itself was perfect for my needs, clean, well proportioned and the balcony area was a nice bonus this year.

Fair review - not as nice as expected

First room provided had poor AC and was very warm. However the front desk staff found us a different room straight away and were very friendly.

The rooms were not as nice as we expected based on previous reviews. It looks like the hotel purchased the adjacent hotel and are perhaps having issues fixing these particular rooms.

The in-room lighting is controlled by an android tablet which is very cumbersome.

The layout of the room is not well designed.

Location is great for walking into central Athens and the tourist areas. Some reviews state that the area is perhaps a bit rough but this is nothing compared with the average US city!

Price paid was good. The roof terrace was lovely and the gym was ok too.

Having most facilities controlled by tablet could prove difficult for those not accustomed to using computers. I am used to computers but it still took time to work out how everything operated. Also, the connection sometimes takes a while. Controlling the TV also provide unclear. If the hotel insists on using a tablet for most functions It would be sensible to have some clear instructions and explanations available in different languages. Personally I see nothing wrong with a light switch and a simple draw back curtain.

Thia hotwl and room were cery clean, room hiwever is much smaller that it looks in the pictures. Unfortunately while hwre there was a severe storm that knocked out the power. You would think because they were so used to this, a generator would have been put into play gor the comfort of thw guests. We had no power (not the faukt of the hotel staff), no hot water (not their fault eithe) this is in the hands of the owners and something should be done when they know this can occur. On the other side of things, we were comfortable in our room, slept well on the bedding and had a great free breakfast on the morning of our check out. The young ladies at the front desk were so nice and accommodating to those I witnessed with issues. They definitely deserve thanks.

Would recommend another hotel in Athens. Rude employees and difficult to get help for the most basic requests. The remote control for the tv didn’t work and we just gave up in the end getting it fixed.

The hotel is also located next to a very busy road so was difficult to get any sleep. Highly recommend another hotel.

Ok for a night

The room was too dark. No natural light and insufficient lighting. When I’m packing up my bag, I don’t really want mood lighting. Even the stairs to the lobby were too dark in my view. The staff were all pleasant and the place is clean, etc. I think maybe I just got a bad room and others would be better as overall the style of the place is decent. It wasn’t expensive. If I was to stay again I’d ask for a different room.

Amazing staff at Brown Kubic, Athens

The staff at Brown Kubic are excellent and very helpful esp Melina when we arrived on 6 May 2023 evening. My brother's wallet was pick-pocketed as we were leaving the train at Omonoia metro station. We suspect that 2 women and 1 man were working as a group - they jammed the train door after one of us was leaving the train and in the haste, my brother did not realise that his wallet had been pick-pocketed until we were leaving the metro station. Melina was so helpful and she arranged an international call for my brother to call his credit card company to cancel his credit cards in Malaysia. After Melina provided comforting words and direction to Athens Tourist Police for us to make a Police Report. Melina is certainly a model employee for Brown Kubic.

I chose Brown Kubic for the view of the church and the view from the bed. I was there for Easter so being able to see the candle lighting and the midnight fireworks was important and not many Athens hotels have this option. I requested a top floor room and 702 was perfect. Communication was outstanding, my warm welcome by Vassilious with Prosecco & helpful hints for getting around was so appreciated. All the staff were fantastic. Also I caught the Meteo from the International airport & to Pireaus port for 9€ each, very convenient to the Hotel, and easy to use. I walked all day around Athens and found the neighbourhood to be very safe. My bed was very comfortable and being able to choose which direction to face is a winning idea. I looked at the church view the whole time. The wallpaper & shower tiles are delightful. Value for money, I would highly recommend it!

Decent Stay except Noise Outside

The staff were very nice and friendly. The hotel location is good and walkable to Psiri area. The hotel itself is very clean. Only problem is the noise. We had a room facing the road and unfortunately the windows were not sound proof. The shades/drapes did not help either. And the noise outside due to homeless and party people and cars on the road. Athens never sleeps it appears. So needless to say we got very little sleep over 3 nights. Please make sure to get a non-road facing room.

The room we were given was very clean and met our needs. The TV was large sized, but it took time to get it to accept an HDMI input to watch movies. We had two staff members try to help, but they were unable to figure it out. I eventually did by getting the sound to play, then hitting the back button on the remote TWICE. That did the trick.

The location felt safe during the daytime, but questionable at night. We could hear drunk(s) yelling rarely and loud vehicles/motorcycles through the night, but this is out of control of the hotel staff.

We were told our reservation did not include breakfast, so we ate out, but this was not disclosed to us at the time we made the on-line reservation.

Overall, a decent place to stay.

Melina at the front desk was wonderful, friendly, and super helpful! The cleaning crew was also superb. Everyone at the hotel was super accommodating to our needs. There was a big homeless population that appeared to be doing drugs in plain daylight but we never felt unsafe, very noisy at night.

The room i book is a large city view room, the beds are semi firm and the layout is a little difficult for waking up firt thing in the morning in front of your partner if you need to rush off and sort yourself in the bathroom, this is a small thing.
Fridge in the room, a rooftop terrace which is open 24/7, aircon that works, breakfast is probabyl the best i have had in Athens - everything is fresh, not tinned.
The staff are very good, hospitable, professional and \"can do\".
You are dangerously close to the bakeries in omonia, the area is good (youre not on the wrong side), kiosk for water etc right outside the hotel and frankly it is \" easy\" from transport - omonia metro being 3 minutes walk.
Good small gym with cables, db's up to 30kgs, bench and 2 running machines.

The hotel is new and neat. The neighbourhood on one side is ok but on the other side not so much. You have to stay on the main roads better. It is close to a metro station and in 3 stops you are at the Acroplolis. You can walk back in 20 minutes and on half way you will find lots of nice restaurants with wintergardens. 5 minutes from tha hotel you find a nice restaurant as well. In 15 minutes walk you reach the museum of archeology.
