We (family of two adults and 2 children) visited on a March weekend, which is the off season. The Packers restaurant wasn’t open, so we ate at the Seaview Cafe, although you could go to the nearby Great Blue Heron Grill restaurant at the golf course. The cafe food was decent, and fine for breakfast, but we would have preferred a different feel for dinner.

We stayed in a premium water view room with balcony, which was refurbished recently enough, and not too small for a short stay. The views were great. The beds were comfortable, although I am not a fan of such soft pillows.

We enjoyed the pool, free bikes, and evening fire pits with complimentary smores. Fun to walk along the beach and see the beautiful sunsets.

Overall a relaxing and fun stay. We wish there were more suite options with proper separate bedrooms, and a different feel for evening dining given all meals were in the same cafe with same all day menu.

Our room was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the room was incredibly spacious. There were two comfortable chairs by the window, and I loved sitting by the winder in the mornings watching the seals play. The views are incredible, the beach is lovely. The area is nice and secluded, it felt very safe. Staff members were kind and accommodating. It was a lovely trip and I’ll definitely be going back.

The atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming. The view - spectacular, the staff - accommodating and attentive, the food - wonderful! You will really feel treated, refreshed and refueled. What a wonderful getaway. No traffic, stoplights or McDonald's! Just great hospitality!

The location was exquisite, but unfortunately, we couldn’t use any of the hotel amenities. The rooms were full of people, and the Steam and Sauna facilities were separate and closed at 9 pm.

The room itself was decent, nothing to complain about.

Beautiful resort, which I believe is best enjoyed in summer, though it is wonderfully quiet in winter for those who value peace and relaxation. The staff were helpful, and the café served tasty burgers, with Rick standing out as an especially engaging and personable presence. Unfortunately, aside from the burgers, the food we tried was disappointing, particularly at the Great Blue Heron Grill. While there is another onsite venue that functions more as a bar, we did not dine there and cannot comment on its offerings. With the café and grill being the primary dining options we experienced, the limited menu makes longer stays less enjoyable. The grill did not even have chicken wings available at the start of the business day, which may seem minor, but with such a restricted menu, any omissions feel significant. Overall, it is a beautiful place, but the dining experience leaves room for improvement.

The resort is beautiful, Dalton at the Front Desk was exceptionally kind and upgraded us to a patio that we could walk directly onto the beach. We couldn't find the fan in the bathroom and shower would not drain. The Spa is lovely with Sauna, steamroom and jacuzzi. Spa staff exceptionally sweet and charged our phone for us!

Understaffed for the holiday weekend. A to-go order at the SeaView Cafe took 1.15 hours. And the food was terrible. Restaurant staff seemed to be super busy. Was told 3 times someone would come out and light our bonfire. Never happened.
Will still come back as this may have been a one-off. Everything else was great.

Room was beautiful. The staff did not clean our room one day when we had asked for it to be done which was frustrating. There is only 1 small cafe on site with limited food options. Breakfast was good but pricey imo. We were forced to drive to the restaurant at the golf course about 10 mintues away for dinner - it was extremely disappointing and overall not an enjoyable experience. The chicken pot pie was definitely the highlight but the rest extremely sub-par.

No restaurant on site. There was one cafe with awful food and dirty area. The room was noisy all night. I wasn’t able to sleep more than 2-3 hours. They promised a room with a view instead I had a room that had a huge outdated wall in front of the window. The heating system was not working and I was freezing all night with no blanket. The shower was out of hair conditioner. Just a disaster the whole night.

Beautiful property grounds, but over-priced - early fall cool evening but fireplace non-functional; we were in a ground floor room with water view and patio and it was fairly dark; wooden floors lacked warmth, eg, no throw rugs at bedside or under the coffee table. Staff were excellent.

Better-value options are to be found in private condos - just don’t try to book them 2 days before (like we did).

The location and property are great, but it mostly ends there. I don’t know if they have new ownership but the place has gone downhill since we were here years ago multiple times. The buildings need a lot of work and repainting, the lawn games are in terrible shape, the grounds need a lot of maintenance (especially the grass by the beach), they didn’t turn over our rooms and just by passed both rooms somehow, there was no conditioner in the shower bottle when we got here, the drywall is wet and coming off the wall, and the fine dining restaurant that used to exist doesn’t seem to anymore. It’s really disappointing to see such an amazing place not be up to the quality that it should be, especially for the price. I doubt we will come again unless they renovate.

The waterfront part of the property was amazing. Best sunsets! We really enjoyed the fire pits and the guys made sure our propane tanks were full. We loved that we were able to bring our cooler down to the patio area.

We were disappointed when we didn’t get a waterfront room we thought we had reserved on Expedia. Not sure where the disconnect was, but we were not able to upgrade once we got to the resort and that was the reason we stayed there. Also it was a little offputting to find other people’s belongings in our room. Clearly hadn’t been cleaned as well as one would like and ALL of the garbage cans at the waterfront and patio were overflowing with trash.
Read the beginning again. The waterfront and patio area was very cool.!!

The Staff was wonderful. Especially the employees that worked the coffee bar. All the amenities make it very charming. However, the Resort needs some upkeep. The outside paint is peeling horribly. The spa and pool area look old and worn.The common areas feel stark and cold. It was raining much of the weekend but only one fireplace was used and then for only a few hours. Wood molding chipped,broken or missing throughout . Our room was huge but it only had 2 chairs when it could have accommodated a couch and large chair easily. Housekeeping was inadequate. They emptied the garbage and left towels only. They left the dirty coffee cups,did not leave new coffee pods. Did not make beds,clean bathroom floor or vacuum. Nothing wiped down. If this wasn’t a Resort ,I could let it go but a Resort stay should include a real cleaning. Overall, I enjoyed it very much,mostly due to the fantastic staff and the beautiful property. I just feel like there is a lot of untapped potential that is being wasted.

We have stayed here before and love the location, ambience and accommodation. We enjoy the room with the patio facing the beach especially as we have the children with us. Also love the activities for the children, very family friendly. Though we do not mind pets, we do not appreciate owners allowing their dogs to be barking. The accommodation is not 'cheap' thus we do think our enjoyment is more important than having to listen to dogs. The rooms are fairly quiet sideways but quite noisy in the halls and from above - alot of stomping. Guests could be more considerate of others. Staff are very accomodating and friendly.

Reserved a double queen water view patio when I checked in, they put me in a king and told me they had overbooked and that the room I reserve is not available, saying that we would need to use the pullout couch as the other bed the pullout couch was extremely uncomfortable so we all had to share the one bed and barely got any sleep. There was dog hair and food crumbs on the floor when we arrived and the couch was also filled with sand. The ice machine was empty our entire first day. I’m supposed to be getting a refund but have not received it yet.

Property is huge, good swimming pool, massage and other amenities but the property itself is very old. Beach access is beautiful. The furniture is so old that a huge mirror on the wall fell on a 3 year old and we had to rush to a hospital in Bellingham. There is no medical facility in Blaine. The front desk and management tried to help but they do not have a proper first aid kit or expertise to help in any way. That is the reason I feel it is unsafe and inconvenient. The property and rooms are dirty due to the age of the property (probably) or poor management. There are only couple of places for dining with limited options.

The Resort is old. Needs a complete facelift. Our room was hiding behind a great view. Leaky shower, torn blinds, dirty windows, a full garbage can when we arrived! No real outdoor activities as advertised on web site - don't go there for kayaking. Staff is rude. And make sure you understand that everything you purchase already has a gratuity added - they conveniently forget to tell you this and you wind up doubling your effort. Not a 4 or 5 star resort. If it wasnt located where it was, it could be a motel 6.

The staff was very kind and welcoming, but the times were super dingy and nothing worked properly. The bathtub didn’t drain the water out properly, the WiFi wasn’t great (with was terrible because there was no network in the whole resort). The dining options were very limited, with the sea view cafe being closed on Monday and Tuesday. When they were open, they only be open until 6 or 8. So we’d have to plan ahead. The menu was also very limited in both the dining facilities. The Semiahmoo cafe across the street had better options. The rooms are not kid friendly. Our friends kid got seriously injured when a massive mirror (held with 2 flimsy nails to the wall) fell on his toe. The patio rooms that face the front of the building don’t really have a usable patio/lawn space. The rooms are kind of small and congested.
