The location was convenient for exploring Rome during the day without paying the high city-center prices. The grounds themselves were lovely, with plenty of greenery and useful facilities such as laundry areas and shower blocks. There was also a shuttle cart running from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., which made getting around easier — though outside of those hours, the walk to the entrance could feel a bit long. The train station was about a 20-minute walk from our chalet, which was located near the back of the park.

Unfortunately, the chalet itself left a lot to be desired. It was extremely dated, with doors hanging loosely, patchy flooring, and very uncomfortable beds. There was a kettle provided, but oddly, nowhere to plug it in. On the positive side, the shower was warm and powerful, which was a welcome relief after a day of sightseeing.

Overall, it did the job for our needs — providing a basic place to rest as we travelled across Italy as a family of four. However, given the condition of the accommodation, I wouldn’t recommend this place for more than a short, budget stopover.

For easy access to Rome, this is great value. A short, frequently departing train ride takes you onto the city centre metro system and the cycle path along the River Tiber takes you door to door. Driving into the city is easy but varies with congestion at dufferent times and requires finding somewhere to park - and road access to the site itself can be quite bewildering.

The site has a great laundry and shower/toilet block, as well as washing up space, so the bungalows really are self catering. However, we booked a standard bungalow and it was ok but not great. No real space to prepare food and only a small fridge, and quite well worn. It looked like it would have been well worth booking a superior bungalow. That said, the air conditioning worked well, which was the most important condition. The site was quite noisy: grass cutting, party music from the adjacent sports club and a convention of Vesoa enthusiasts buzzing around at all hours disturbed out peace. But its a campsite, in Rome, for this price. No complaints. We would stay here again, in a better bungalow.

Poor quality accommodation

There was no smoke detector, no oven or grill, and no real living area. The top bunk bed did not look safe. The children's bedroom was damp. There is a window over the gas hob. All the doors had been damaged and filled with plaster.
The information on this app says they arrange day trips - they don't. We were directed to the train station which is only a short walk, but the walk is along a busy duel carriage way that had to be crossed.
The park itself is a nice park and the restaurant was very nice, but the accommodation wasn't.

Spacious room but black mould everywhere.

We stayed 2 nights whilst visiting Rome and on arrival, were shown our bungalow on a map which was a 10-15 min walk away including some uphill parts which we didn’t realise when we booked. The bungalow was really spacious but on the 2nd night, we got back late in the evening and noticed a lot of black mould on the ceiling in the bedroom and on the ceiling/door frame and inside and behind the cupboards in the bathroom. As it was late and a long walk back to reception, we decided to just sleep but it was quite unnerving they let people stay in a bungalow in that condition, especially as I’m pregnant and black mould is toxic.

The pool and bar area were good; clean, fun and good food/service.
But sofa bed was very poor; no comfort as the mattress has warn though and to say that you could feel the frame underneath is an understatement!
Whilst the air conditioning in the accommodation was fab, the ants in the bathroom and running water that lurched from cold to boiling no so great when trying to wash.
Also staff at the restaurant were on the rude side, and had to wait 20mins for the bill, having asked twice and the rest of the group having left the table.

The room was fine. Large bathroom and relatively spacious bedroom. There was a minifrisge. However i wish there was a safe. The bed was comfortable. I have little complaints about the room. The restaurant wasn't very good. There is another restaurant that is like a 5 minute walk away from the hotel property; i highly recommend that one over this lame hotel restaurant.

My main complaint is the location. If you want to explore Rome from this hotel, think again. The hotel is only like 5 miles from the colleseum and other attractions, but that distance is very misleading. Obviously there is no parking in Rome, but on top of which, it takes about 45 minutes to drive there. 45 minutes of driving for 5 miles... Public transportation is awful too. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel property, but it takes at least an hour and half to get to the collesuem through public transportation. At least! It took me over 2 hours the first time and almost 2 hours the second time. This is one way too. I spent almost 5 hours one day just navigating public transportation.

If you don't care about exploring Rome, then this hotel is pretty good.

This was definitely a unique hotel, but I definitely recommend it! The bungalows were comfortable and clean. The restaurant was great with delicious food and drinks. The pool, although crowded and deep for non-swimmer, was also great. Keep in mind that you will do a lot of walking if you do not rent a car and it is not fun to do with luggage in 100* weather. If you are okay with that then I definitely recommend this hotel!

Nice comfortable accomodation and thankfully had aircon. Location not ideal for a family as it was a 10 minute walk to the train station for central Rome and that involved walking on the edge of a busy road. Wifi didnt reach our bungalow. In all, was a good stay. Nice piece of green in a big city!

The position of the camp was ideal for the train into flaminio station where you can walk all round rome for the sights. The pool was nice although we had a laugh about the pool caps that must be worn. The property was a good size with all you could need. No english channels but we took cards and netflix.wifi signal was poor tho, and lots of cats so a strong smell was present. The restaurant onsight was excelent. A good base to explore Rome

The reception staff were very helpful. The courtesy car was invaluable after a long day out. However, the WiFi was very patchy, better if outside the room. We also had some difficulties with service in the restaurant. It is about a half a mile to the train station from the accommodation. There is also a fair size supermarket close by although there is no oven in the rooms. In a 4 person room, the double bed is a sofa bed.

The cabin was a nice space to come back to after a busy day in the centre of Rome. The park was overall quite quiet and tranquil which was nice. I decided to stay at this \"Camping\" that has different types of bungalows. Mine was the Deluxe with a 2 bedroom - 2 bathroom - living room/kitchen & patio. Excellent and really well cured, but it was also the most expensive. 170 euros for 2 nights(2 adults and 2 kids). Can't beat that : ) The Parking was in front of my bungalow. TV with cable, good showers, comfortable beds, new fridge and microwaves, classes and so on. It is very easy to get in and out. There is a good restaurant inside the village. In front of the Village, there is a \"Carrefour\" opened until midnight and there is also a train station in walking distance that takes you directly to Rome downtown. From the outside, you don't realize that this place is so convenient. Excellent cost-benefit. If I go back to Rome, I will be there.

Didn’t get 2 beds, 1/2 lights burned out, had to haul our 4 bags up a hill w/no assistance w/husband on oxygen day arrived. Kind worker threw our bags in the back of his work truck to pick up point, however we had to walk the distance there as well as to the little cafe for two meals, some task being on oxygen. Were told vehicle couldn’t get up hills.

Well kept, clean property

Our main complaint would be about Expedia, not the property, poor service from them but the staff at Flaminio did their best and were very helpful.
There appear to be several different styles of accommodation here, it’s quite difficult to ascertain exactly what you are booking from the site. We had a “Grand Bungallow” one bedroom for 4. Very clean, ours situated in area B. I think the design of the bungalows could be better, the bedroom is the largest room, more than ample for 2 people but the living room/kitchenette is too small and unusable with the sofa bed out.
Walls are thin and our nearest neighbours had no volume control on their voices!
Simone at the information point knows everything there is to know about travel, sites to see and general information. They need to keep her!
Reception staff also very helpful and arranged a hair dryer when we asked for one. Our room was cleaned and linen changed 3 times in two weeks by pleasant staff.
Overall, this was different to our usual choice of accommodation but we enjoyed our stay. Nice pool, good food, clean, well kept site, good air conditioning, pleasant staff, would recommend.

Basic but convenient to get into central Rome.

Stayed in a cabin which was basic but functional. The information office is excellent and a must to visit before going into Rome. We stayed here so the kids could enjoy a pool after a day of sightseeing, this worked although busy. All good except the poo in the pool the last night put us off, especially when the staff refused to do anything about it until the following day!!!

unique

This is a camp site not a hotel but the cabin was nice and it had great amenities. Enjoyed the bar and the fact it had a washer and driver. It was a really long walk to our cabin and the shuttle was never really around. The location was right by the bus/train system so it was easy to get to any part of Rome. The walk to the train station was a little dangerous with traffic.

All the staff was really nice expect the lady that checked me out she tried to charge me twice for the city tax and turned nasty when I told her I already paid it. They were really confused about me purchasing it from obitz they did not really know how to work it in there system very well so I am sure it was all messed up.

Not Really Ok.

They claim it like a 4 star hotel, but its not. They even don't provide room service, even they don't provide intercom for communication. Lastly very poorly connected to public transportation and even its risky to go to address if you are using train. have to cross dangerous highway to reach them. If you have car may be nice place to stay other wise not really recommended.

Good solution to visit Rome with kids

A nice camping place. The Bungalows are generally OK. Nothing amazing, but simply correct. The bed comfort could be higher. Otherwise a nice location. Despite a bit complicated access to the station, there is a good connection to Rome center. Supermarket is just at the camping entrance. The camping has a very useful info point!

Great overall little village.

This hotel has positives and negatives. Firstly the room we booked was a twin basic room, and basic means basic. It did however have air-conditioning, a shower and a fridge that was it. However it was a good place to come back to after the hustle and bustle of being in Rome all day. It was peaceful at night and the on site facilities were good. we used the washing machine and the little mini mart.

I would recommend seeing the lady at the info point before you set off into Rome on your first day, she was really helpful and ensured we knew how to get back. She also told us about the Romapass which saved us a lot of money going into sites and on our transport.

The hotel its self is a 20 minute bus or train ride from the center of the city, the station is right round the corner and there is a supermarket across the road.

We would definitely stay here again, however we would not choose the twin room again.

Great for the money but not for everyone

My son (7) & I had a long weekend at Village Flaminio (August '15) & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Yes the standard bungalow was basic but it was clean, great air con & had a fab shower......there's also far too much to see in Rome to be in your room long.
The staff were all very friendly & the pool a godsend after walking all day.
It is a train ride & a metro or 2 away from the centre which may have been an issue if we'd wanted to stay out late. We ate at Flaminio in eve which was good.
Overall you get what you pay for in safe, green, well organised surroundings.

Flaminio Village

We stayed in a Sorento bungalow and it was lovely. The air conditioning worked well and there was free wifi. The pool is lovely and we made the most of it due to the late July hot weather.
There is a lovely restaurant in the village and we ate there and had coffees in the morning.
The area would be a bit of a hastle if you have small children as the main entrance is on a dual carriageway. It is a bit hair-raising to walk alongside this to the train station to say the least. The train only takes 20 minutes but there is usually a bit of a wait and the train is crowded and really hot. Don't forget to press the red button as it is a request stop.
Over all I would stay here again as it is a good combination of pool and city for a holiday involving teenagers!

Comfortable, friendly, affordable, bit out of town

Very nice place. Quiet, surrounded by natural environment. sort of camping park mixed with one\two room housings. Information desk was very helpful and communicative. Its a bit out of the city so its less flexible to come and go to Rome throughout the day, but the hotel is near a train station that leads to Flaminio inside rome. I liked the restaurant. Make sure you understand the travel route through the trains and metros to reach it. Once you do its easy to travel from there and back to the city. Overall its worth the small price it costs so if you are low on cash I would definitely go there.

4th visit here, still love this place!

This is the 4th time that my boyfriend and I have stayed here - we stayed in the Sorrento Suite, which is a modern chalet (double bed, fridge, bathroom with a shower, air conditioning). It's a lovely place outside of the hustle & bustle of Rome, but easily reached on the urban train (get the urban train from Flaminio to Due Ponti, then it's a short walk to the Village). The on-site restaurant serves excellent food & the staff are really friendly & helpful.

Barely decent, if you don't mind a lot of walking!

From the reception to the bungalows, it's almost a kilometer. From the hotel to the train station, another kilometer. That gets old real quick, especially with luggage. Train ride is 20 minutes to the metro station. Should have stayed near a metro station!

Not for the lone traveller

I got there around 8pm. I checked in and had to walk with my suitcase 500 metres down a dark road to get to my bungalow. I felt like I was in a Friday the 13th movie with Jason about to jump out from the campsite and cut me up. I got lost and went back to ask if he could take me then told it was easy so I was left to do it myself again. I got lost because the signpost was pointing in the wrong direction. Anyway I eventually found it, The room has a fridge and 2 beds. A Shower yes but I had to squeeze to get through the sliding door that wouldn't completely open. The cars going past at night didn't help get to sleep, and I woke up with a very sore back from the uncomfortable bed. I was booked in for 3 nights, I cancelled the 2 nights and only was able to get a refund for one night but it didn't worry me at all. It really doesn't look like much to do around the area at all and a busy road to cross to get the station. Camping ground yes but that is all I would call it sorry it really just wasn't my thing and to far away from the centre of Rome

A great place to stay.

Loved my stay here. I did 2 weeks in a bungalow. It was very clean and tidy with a patio area. Would recommend you bring a travel kettle if you want to make your own hot drinks as none of the Rome hotels seem to offer this facility. Takes about 15 minutes to get into Rome by train but is easy enough once you have done it once. The hotel staff are really friendly and the information area has bilingual members of staff. The shop provides most of the basics and there is a grocery store across the main road. Would definately recommend this park and will be staying again myself. Do mind the road though. Use the hotel airport pick up service as it was cheaper than the taxi I got when I first got there. Transport tickets are available from the information centre for buses, trains and metro and you can also book day trips out from there.

Four star rating?

Accommodation leaves so much to be desired that I really don't know where to start but here goes; We arrived on thursday evening to find that our workman type cabins(the only way to describe them) were without any lighting. We were told that nothing could be done about that until the morning.Let me try and describe the cabins-perhaps 20 feet long(but please don't be thinking that this is all yours) this is shared between four people. Imagine driving down the motorway and seeing the tiny workman cabins for maintainence people of the highways agency that have two small beds,a small shower and a toilet. Flaminio village look like they have joined two of them together and that is your accommodation for your stay. When the people who you are joined to move around their cabin you know about it. I haven't been able to articulate on the cabins but suffice to say they are not four star rating standard. They are highway maintainence type cabins-it's that simple.
We upgraded the following day to one of their higher standard \"chalets\" This was the same standard as an older type caravan(Sans wheels) with a tiled patio area to the front. It had a basic kitchen area which when the sofa bed was pulled out turned into a bedroom with a gas hob(no oven) in it.
I won't go any further on the accommodation. Bottom line is that all the cabins, chalets or whatever they wish to call them were poor in every way.
Please be very careful with children crossing the mainroad to get the train into Rome.

Close enough to metro

Although not very close to Rome, the metro stop to Rome was within walking distance of the Flaminio. It's about a 20 min. train ride with one change over to the underground (same ticket) that takes you right to the center of the city where most everything to see is within walking distance. There is also a super market about a 5 min. walk from Flaminio. The kitchenette in the bungalo was very convenient as was the covered patio with a table and chairs. A very cute, beautiful and quiet little area. The rooms were very clean and the bathroom had shampoo, soap and extra tp, always a good thing!

Not bad at the price

These bungalows are OK for the price. The staff are helpful. The prefabs are small and some of the furniture is in poor condition. The communal washrooms are superb. My advice is use this as a base but don't spend too much time in the room. Maybe in the summer it is better when you can sit outside but this time of year not so good. There is a great onsite restaurant and grill with middle of the road prices. Choice at breakfast was a little disappointing but it was clean and plentiful. We had 4 adults in a Capri and it was not really big enough but overall I would probably do it again at that price or cheaper.

miss leading

If you like cold old damp place to stay this is the place. The first bungalow the heater did not work. So I had to upgrade to the two bedroom model which was a little better but this one didn't have hot water, which cost me $45 more for the two nights. The info in the website is miss leading, the picture are of the new models. The offer for the city bus tour that is not a deal and it does not pick you up at the hotel. The 21% discount is just marked up price. I could have paid less in the city for the same service. Would I stay there again? NO

Camping?

First of all, had to take the subway and the train to get there. Then from the train station in the middle of nowhere, walk across the highway to arrive, not at a hotel, but at a CAMPING site!!! From the reception, we then had to walk 1/2 a mile under the heat to reach the bungalow! Well, we never made it! Turned around and found a hotel on the Pantheon piazza to recuperate from the flight and all and reorganize... On top of everything, they refused to cancel any part of my reservation, even the nights 2 weeks later at the end of our trip!!!

We loved it

We booked the largest of the bungalows as there were 4 of us, and also made sure it was self-catering so we had the option to stay in and cook if necessary. The bungalows aren't big, but we had 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms and as we were only using it for sleeping we managed on the limited space perfectly well. We also had an outdoor area with table & chairs and sun loungers. The facilities around the site were fantastic (check out the public loos and showers); the staff are brilliant and will help in anyway they can; the pool people (may have been owners) were particularly great and welcoming and even helped us with our italian. italian's in general can't do enough to help you. My only comment would be that the self-catering facilities leave little to be desired, we had a gas kettle (no lid though so we couldn't actually pick it up once it was boiled) and other than that we had a fridge with freezer compartment and a hob, and a sink plus cutlery etc. But my father, who also booked self-catering had just a fridge and nothing else not even a kettle so beware...it was fine for us as we had loads of family and friends who joined us so we ate out every night and just had cereal for breakfast. It would be much better if they at least provided kettles and a toaster to each room. Having said that, the place was clean, well looked after, busy without being too noisy (one night of noise was it) and very close to the city without being in the city.

We stayed in a bungalow. We are a family of four and asked for three beds, but only got two. The park is very nice. There is plenty of parking, the breakfast was great and the staff nice.Close to train station, however it is a little hairy to get across the road. It is a great location for a base to tour Roma as the train takes you directly into the downtown area in less than 15 minutes. The info staff can help get the information on the trains, subway and buses. We would stay again.

Can't beat it for value

The chalet was small and pokey, but it had aircon and the wif fi was cheap. the front desk staff were pleasant and helpful and there is an information hut near the restaurant that was extremely helpful and calm when repeating the same information on how to get to the centre of Rome. For this price so near Rome if you have a car, or maybe if you don't, you can't beat the value for money. The restaurant was OK nice pizza but they could not accommodate us on Saturday night without a booking, it was very difficult to find somewhere else to eat nearby. The Cafe/shop was a joke, typically Italian with six people working there but nobody actually serving customers. No food on the breakfast buffet and lots of shouting. However there is a lovely little cafe just over the road on the way to the station which is no more than five minutes walk from the gates of the site.

Ideal base camp for Rome

Flaminio camping village was close to perfect! We stayed in one of the Venezia bungalows, which was clean, and included very clean bathroom with lovely shower, and a fridge and television in the room. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were rubbish. We had a couple of ant infestations due to the air vents in the floor but thats fine once the floors are kept clean. This was the only issue we had; in the two weeks that we stayed, the maids only came once. After failing several times to talk to the maids and being ignored, I resorted to taking toilet tissue from the communal toilets, and going into the maids storage bungalow to get fresh towels.
Besides that, everything else about the village was fantastic. The breakfast buffet every morning (7-10am) was great, and the staff were friendly. A couple of the evening restaurant staff and the girl on the morning shift of the information point need a bit of an attitude adjustment though. The poolside bar and restaurant was great too, lovely staff, lovely food (till about 9pm). The pool was clean and a good size; never too busy and plenty of sun loungers.
Location wise, once you get the hang of the trains its very convenient to Rome. The area itself isn't great, there's a couple of places to eat about 2 bus stops up the road, but the roads are incredibly busy, and you're probably better going into Rome itself anyway. To get to Flaminio camping village you get the Metro (A) to Flaminio, and exit the metro station and go into the train station, to get the 'urbano' service (every 20mins) as far as Due Ponti station. Its about a 5 minute walk from there.

Flamino villlage- walk miles to train station but get a good rest when you get back

The flaminio village is just off a dual carriageway but it's a different world once you pass through the entrance
it could do with a bridge or crossing to get you over the 2 busy dual carriageways to due ponti train station- there are crossings but u have to walk some way to get to them
the bungalow was tranquil but no hairdryer, toAster or kettle and only one pillow each.
The pool was closed and the restaurant food was rubbish, £80 euros for 3 people eating 2 courses. Excluding drinks- they hadn't hears of Bacardi.

great hotel if your not a lite sleeper!

This hotel was very cheap. For the money, you really can't go wrong. However, if you are a lite sleeper and need your sleep, this is not the place to go. You hear everything through the this walls. There are also vents that are open that could potentially lead critters inside...I was nervous the first night I stayed. Nothing did bug us while we were there, though. The train is a 8-10 minute walk from this hotel, which will only be a short 20 minute ride to Rome. I think there are about 3 stops before you get there. If you want to stay closer to Rome this is not the place for you. Also, getting from this hotel to the Airport is fairly convenient. While the staff were not overly friendly, they were very helpful. ALso, there is a small grocery store near by and the restaraunt at the campsite was very good. Plus, the breakfast is included. I slept w/ ear plugs, a pillow over my head and a eye mask and I was ok. All in all I would stay again.

Rome Holiday

Flaminio Holiday village offers a very pleasant stay. It is in a very quite area, although it is next to a major road.
We requested a double bed chalet, however, were allocated one with 2 single beds. The receptionists changed us over immediately.
The village offers onsite shop, bar and resturant, childrens play area and Swimming pool, (only open June to Sept).
Breakfast was excellent, the usual standard Continetal breakfast (rolls, jams, ham and cheese), also omlettes, hard boiled eggs, coissants and other cakes. Resturant is excellent although slightly pricey (£/euro).
Reception to the chalets is a long walk (approx 400 mtrs). There is a bus which runs but only between 8 & 12am and 4 & 8pm.
The railway station \"Due Ponti\" is only a few hundred metres away with journey time of 15 mins into Rome. However this is were the main problem lies. To get there (safe way) requires crossing the main road (pelican crossing), through a car park, a 200 mtr walk to another pelican crossing and then all the way back on the other side of the road. This can be cut out, but takes the risk of crossing a very busy road. The main problem after 2030 at night is the car park is closed and gated. This means having to climb over Armco barriers and walking alongside the very busy main road. They really have to come up with a better access to the Railway Station.
The 200 bus runs from outside the gate, but requires changing halfway to a tram (approx 1 hour journey).

Not necessarily in the best area of Rome's outskirts, but once you're in the park, it's a good atmosphere. 5 - 10 min walk from the train station and then super easy access to Rome's city center from there - great for those using trains/metro for transport, or those not wanting to drive in Rome (not recommended)!

Not Impressed

This is not a hotel. This is a trailer park with comfortable cabins to stay. I was in the economy cabin in which a single trailer has two cabins. So you can really hear what is going on in the other cabin. The cabin on its own with the room and toilet is really good. The major problem was the constant barking of dogs in the day and night. I lost my sleep on certain days. The next door neighbour is a shelter for dogs so any one near the perimeter suffers from the barking of dogs as i did. There is also a long walk from the reception to the cabins which is hard for old people, but there is a scheduled schuttle service which takes you near the cabin. I liked the rides. Access to the centre of Rome is really good with the train and bus services.

Great family holiday accomodation

Perfect place to take the kids. We stayed in the Ischia apartment with our 3 little ones and were terribly satisfied. We all loved it. The apartment was cramped but very clean and comfortable. It had 2 bathrooms which was really not necessary. The airconditioning was excellent and quickly cooled down the apartment in the hot summer heat. Best of all it was quiet so we could sleep in the clean and comfortable beds. The gardens and lawns were immaculate around the whole park. The golf-buggy that ferries you from the entrance to the apartments was very useful. However, it would have been nice to have it running all day instead of it taking the break between 12 and 4pm.The staff were very pleasant, especially at the onsite restaurants. The restaurant open for dinner was very good. All of the food, especially the pizzas, was tasty and reasonably-priced. The restaurant was packed every night I would recommend popping up there during the day to reserve a nice outdoor table.Probably the best part of our stay was using the inground pool. It was immaculate and always had a vigilent life-guard onsite. The mandatory head-caps were hilarious but probably very useful. The only downside to the park was position from the sites of Rome. We tried the train and bus but both were major hassles with little kids.I think it took between 1.0-1.5 hours each way. We ended up taking taxis which were about. 20€ each way.Much more civilised. We'll be back to stay in the Ischia apartment again. Recommend it

The room was clean and if we needed towels or toilet paper they will get it for you, also they keep the rooms clean.

There is a little store there also and you can buy some neccesities or have a drink & hang out and listen to music, play cards or chit chat with others & it stays open later.

Tiny rooms and really inconveniently located!

We booked the hotel based on info we got from Expedia and the hotel's website. It is not really a hotel, but more of a camp site. If you're looking for a camp site, this place might do, but not at all as a hotel. It was two trains away from the Rome city center, and once you get off the train, you need to cross a dangerous highway and walk10-15 minutes. Once you check in, you have to walk another 10-15 minutes to get to the rooms! The rooms are EXTREMELY tiny and there are no phones, TV or anything. If you don't carry a cell phone, anything could happen to you in the middle of the night and no one would know! The doors to the rooms are flimsy and seemed unsafe. I wouldn't recommend this at all to a tourist, but if you're just going camping this will do.

It has free car parking but they charge for their internet services 5 euros for 3 days (wifi). There is a train station very close (Due Ponti) to get you to the city center. Like Staying in a Camper/RV

This is essentially a campground with permanently affixed camping trailers. Difficult to find. Peaceful with fresh air during the day but a bit noisy at night. There is a dog kennel next to the campground and they barked all night, so light sleepers beware. There is a nice pool with deck and snack bar. They have laundry facility to wash/dry clothes but they cost 5 euros each! The bungalows have their own private baths but they are so small the heat and humidity can be a problem. I used the campground bath facility and found it to be more spacious and VERY clean and well maintained. A good value if you are trying to save money and they include a free breakfast buffet too.

Great all round place to stay with kids

A short train ride (10 mins) from the centre of Rome, this is a great solution if you are travelling with children as the park has a great swimming pool and a safe clean environment for a holiday camp (think Center Parcs rather than Butlins!) style stay. It's a bit of a hairy walk from the train station to the park (crossing a busy ring road) but once you get used to it you'll appreciate the cheap supermarket you need to walk through to get there. Stock up on bottles of water and snacks to take into the city and save a packet! Pool tip: take a swimming cap, this is compulsory for men and women and you won't be allowed in without one.

Pros - close to a train station which takes 10-15 minutes to get into central role or the metro, good bus links right outside as well and the hotel provide a map and travel info as well. Staff were friendly and mainly spoke good English. The bungalow was small yet had good air con and was clean and tody on arrival. Near a supermarket as well which was useful as there was a fridge in the room. Would have been better if there were more bars etc around. Cons - the onsite eating facilities were poor quality and expensive. 5 Euros for a beer even though it was not in the city centre and the food wasn't good but we only went there once. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this site, which had excellent facilities including a restaurant with reasonable prices, and a superb swimming pool. The chalet was clean and comfortable, the free breakfast was very good with loads to choose from, and the complimentary minibar was very welcome when we arrived after a long hot journey. Staff speak English and were friendly and helpful, and the information point was useful for info and tickets. The supermarket and train station were nearby, and it was easy to get into Rome. We would definitely use this site again.

Very quaint resort

This was a great place to stay! It was out from the main city and the evenings were quiet and peaceful and a mix of bungalows with campers. It is a bit of a walk when the courtesy cart is not running, but the exercise is well worth it. The only drawback is being so far out of Rome for early morning excursions and late night returns. The accomodations were cozy but it served its purpose for sleeping. The on-site restaurant service is incrediby slow and the food is pricey. The infopoint staff is SO helpful - they're awesome! We would definitely recommend this as a nice out of the way place to stay.

Great value for Rome

A well kept camping area with the bungalows attached. A bit difficult to get to by public transport, but worth the effort to find. A nice pool, a good breakfast included, and comfortable and clean.

Relaxing

Positive: great location, clean bedroom and bathroom, great AC, staff very friendly & helpful (info & bar), good pool (not heated), close to train to get to Rome, easy parking, the village is very clean, large area for evening walks.
Negatives: beds are small, no change of towels (we stayed 3 days)

OK Hotel

It is a good campsite! with independent potable house. What we got: 1. very good price through Expedia. 2. OK location (need to transfer trains, but not far to city centre:30-40min by walk+train) 3. In the potable house, we got two bed rooms, one living room, and kiten facing the door. sounds like many space, but they are very small. I think they are good enough. Rooms were clean, but one of the washrooms was very smelly. 4. Some buggs could get into the house, but you can kill them easily. Over all, in Roma,It is a good place to live with low price. PS: not suggested in summer time because no air-condition in the room. Roma is a very hot place!
