Walked into our cottage, when you see sheets covering living room furniture, there is at auto air freshener sticking out of the a/c vent, and one hanging in the closet, when you go in the bathroom the ceiling is covered in mold. Did have clean sheets and towels. One positive thing was water pressure and hot water. I will never stay again

The bathroom is a crudely built add on lean-to with inadequate ventilation, which results in its ceiling being covered in black mold. It’s a biohazard.

The majority of lights did not work.

The rest of it was good enough.

Mold on bath ceiling, old beat up furniture covered with sheets, heavy cigarette smoke smell. Water was cut off before I could shower, work on the line was going on by the road. I checked out early morning after the first night and got other accommodations.

Run down, dirty, roaches! All the positive reviews must be fake! Every towel looked like it had blood stains, glad i brought my own beach towel. I think the pool was green but didn't get that close. I reserved 2 bed got 1, it didn't really matter. Was not given any wifi password, was too late to ask. Stay Somewhere else.

After staying here last year and having an excellent experience my son and I arrived to find multiple questionable characters on the property. While strolling around and getting a lake view of the property, we were confronted by an aggressive male who accused us of peeking into his room to see his children. We were not even near another room at the time. We also observed a couple with the male wearing an ankle bracelet and the female seeming to be seriously under the influence of drugs. Not sure what has happened to this property but we don’t plan to return. I have never given a negative review and we travel a lot. I just don’t want to see anyone else go there and feel unsafe.

Do not stay here. This place is run down. Probably was really cute and nice in the 60s. Now it is old, dirty and run down. The office area was atrocious. The cabin we stayed in had a terrible smell, TV didn't work, beds were uncomfortable. AC adequate. The whole area was dirty and unkempt. The pool area was totally unsafe and dirty.

Terrible and unsightly upon arrival. The exterior of the building was very poor. Their was a rooster walking outside of my room the whole time yelling early in the morning. The door locks were not secure.
The bathroom had a moldy shower curtain. Their were roach baits scattered all over the room visible. The bathroom towels were dirty. Thank god I had my own linens. The only decent thing was location. The website needs to update how old this location is.

It’s more of an extended stay motel than a beach resort. Pretty run down, cockroaches, strange stains and smells. The place looks like it was nice back in the day, but could use a good going through to bring it up to normal cleanliness standards. Clerk asked me to leave a cash deposit which I didn’t have, and had to do a walk through on the way out. Checkout is 10am, not 11am as it says on Expedia. I’m sure it’s fine for someone looking to find a bargain motel.

This was our first experience with deceptive advertising. The condition was so poor the pictures don’t come close to what we saw. Being seniors there were no stable rails and the cottages were dirty and one was boarded up. Expedia should not be listing this proper if one complaint like this is filed. The owner refused to give us a refund which is additionally offensive to us. I should have read the reviews but I have never had a problem like this on any of our trips.

What would I say? I love this place. Very clean and very quiet. They have a kitchenette inside you can definitely cook and make your own meal no need to eat out.The Bed is very comfortable. Its been a year since I started coming here and here I am still loving this place. The price is better than anyone else. Owners are helpful and friendly.

Highly recommend for those who want a cheap but comfortable stay.

I was very disappointed with Lake Ida Beach Resort. The pictures were very misleading. I only stayed one out of three nights due to a cockroach infestation in the kitchen. I left a message for the property and received no response. I wouldn't recommend this property for anyone to stay in.

If you just need a place to stay, that’s affordable, this will probably due. Check in was easy enough and it’s pretty quiet other than highway noise. If you’re looking for luxury or amenities then this probably isn’t it. Strong smell of marajuana when we first pulled up to our “cabin”, as some were out on the pier smoking. Seems there are some regulars living in a few of the occupancies and a few strange people around, but otherwise it wasn’t too bad.
If there’s no where else to stay, I’d stay again. Staff was friendly. But if there are other options I’d look there first.

This place just felt unclean. It smelled like old cigarettes, the pillowcases and sheets were kind of dingy and rough. When we arrived to check in, the front desk person handed me a key and said \"room 6.\" That was the only communication we got. I obviously looked confused because then he said \"have you been here before?\" I said no, and then he pointed to where I needed to go. It was just overall not the best.

Not well maintained, smelled pretty bad, had to keep the windows and doors open for an hour to be able to stay in. The bedroom window didn’t have mosquito net. The shower curtain had mold. Fridge and kitchen facilities were functional. The sheets and towels were ok. You can survive for one night, but be better off to spend a few more bucks and stay somewhere else.

I left & drove 90 min home rather than stay here

I was unsure about this place, but it has pretty good reviews, so we decided to give it a chance. We arrived, and it was pretty run down looking form the get-go. We rang the doorbell to get the office's attention, and the guy was a little rude to me when he answered. He was short with us and sort of mumbled, until he got to the part where he wanted a cash deposit to stay in the room; which I didn't have, because I expected the deposit to go on my card.

We got into the room. It was old, run down, smelled musty, and the ac wasn't on. As soon as we turned on the ac, it made the whole room smell like pot. My daughter went to used the bathroom, and there was something gross all over the tp. I went outside to try and get my phone to work (the wifi was locked and not offered to us, despite being listed on the site), and the pot smell got worse.

Oh, and there was a full wasp nest right over my head on the cabin.

I didn't feel comfortable staying there with my daughter, so we went back to the office to tell them we weren't going to stay. The office guy said that he isn't the owner and tried to call the owner, who didn't answer.

So, yeah, we ate the cost and went home over staying in this place. DO NOT listen to the good reviews, they're lying.

If you're young, on an adventure, and don't care where you're staying, this place might work out for you, but it is NOT a place for families.

The property has mobile homes and our was very dirty and old. There was a smell of smoke inside, but they declare a non-smoking. The hood of the stove had grease, one window was broken and a lot of mosquitos came inside because the property is near a lake. The microwave had water inside. The table was not clean I guess from the previous visit.

The facility is fine and has good space. Some of the furniture could use an update. No way to make coffee. But the real issue is the loud AC unit that is very difficult to sleep with it on, in Florida. I turned it off but then the road noise became very noticeable, not helped by to older single pane windows. I could not sleep at all, all night.

A diamond in the rough! New owners are friendly and are working on improvements. Suggestions for the new owners: replace windows, curtains, carpets and replace entrance doors with new secure locks. The towels had stains, but felt and smelled clean ( I had no problem using them). The decor needs updating and some new lighting.They hired a landscaper and hopefully will add flowers to enhance the property. The pool was very nice! I would stay here again!
