Homeless hanging around in and out of the hotel, no hot water for showers, no bar or restaurant open. Pool not open. Crack pipe in the hallway! Slamming doors all night. Filthy! The entire place reeked of cigarettes and stale booze. Entry doors do not properly close allowing anyone to enter the building. I absolutely do not recommend this place. It is unsafe and Filthy!

Will never stay at this place again. Charged $207 for one night. Pool was convienently closed for the weekend. Found a hair tie on the floor and M&Ms on the floor by the bed. 2nd bed did not have a fitted sheet. No comforters on either bed. Definitely not a pillowtop mattress as advertised. Black marks on the sheets. Breakfast was rotten fruit and the countertops were dirty. Charged me a $100 security deposit that will not be refunded for 7-14 business days, not mentioned when booking. Don't waste your money here.

From the moment we walked in, the hotel was disgusting. Smells like cigarettes and old beer. The check in process was unorganized and even one day after being there, my card wouldnt unlock my door. I went back to the counter and they stated I never paid and I was never in that room.ucy i had my receipt to show infact I did pay. It was unsafe in the area and did not feel comfortable being there. I stayed there only to sleep. In fact it was so bad, we left a day early. No restaurant open, glass everywhere, the grounds were full of trash. I would NEVER recommend any one to stay here ! Probably the worst place ive ever been to.

I have stayed at this facility over 20 years for the state wrestling tournament. I will never again. The property in one years time under the new ownership has become completely neglected. The lobby smelled like weed and liquor when I checked in. I paid for the breakfast option. In the past they use to have a small buffet style breakfast. Most mornings there was absolutely nothing offered. One morning there was a lady passed out on a table in the breakfast area. Other mornings they had coffee, but nothing to eat. The rooms are poorly cleaned and maintained. There was garbage built up in every corner of the room. There was garbage strewn about the parking lot and outside the hotel rooms. There were bloodstains on the sheets. The bathroom smelled of urine because it has been so poorly sanitized. The shower drain was so slow that by the middle of the shower the water was to my ankle. There were no tissues, and the toilet paper was the thinnest I have ever seen. Several nights out of the 4 nights we experienced people screaming and fighting in the parking lot. They have a bar in the lobby area that no one ever worked at.

This hotel is so dirty. It smells awful. There were dirty towels and washcloths. The bedding was dirty and full of other people's hair. Hairs that are not from a head but a nether region were all over the shower walls and floors. The mirrors look as though they haven't been cleaned since the place opened. Zero amenities including tissues. It should be condemned!

The pool was out of order, which is why I booked this location. Asked where the gym was. They said near the pool and the only thing that worked was a treadmill which was fine. Treadmill did not work. People hang out in their cars at all hours in the parking lot. Was woken up both mornings to people screaming in the hallways. Doors did not close which made it accessible to people who do not have a key. garbage everywhere in the parking lot. This place is a trap house.

However, at checkin, there were strange people and vagrants with loud music in the front lobby and we did not feel safe. The parking lot was dark and we did not feel safe.
We could not cancel, due to strict cancelation policy, despite our having a disabled vet amd greiving our mother passing.

We were awakened in the middle of the night by a guy banging on our door and yelling “housekeeping “.
He opened our door and tried to push his way in. The only thing that stopped him was the door latch. My husband pushed the door shut and I was trying to call for help. I thought someone was breaking in. It turns out there was confusion with rooms and the front desk person wanted to confirm who was in our room. That was absolutely unacceptable. A phone call would have been enough instead of what they did. I cannot recommend this property after such incident.

Clean and tidy rooms and comfortable beds, no highway noise, good temperature control. The shower was a tad lukewarm. The Continental Breakfast is woeful; while they did warn us there wouldn't be hot food, there wasn't even milk for the cereal, and the bread was stale. Luckily, the coffee was good and mandarins were fresh.

Call front desk more than 10 times to get toilet paper never got an answer, this morning the breakfast area was a hot mess like pigs ate there, for check out I called front desk couple times I got my phone call hang up. The room had many things that need attention.

The initial room we were given was occupied, so then we were upgraded to much more spacious room which was perfect. Despite the initial issue, our stay was good. The bathroom could use a bit of an upgrade as there was only roll of tissue paper and the Kleenex holder was broken. Got why I paid for and that’s fine!

Horrible service you go up to the front desk. There's a sign that says we'll be back in 15 minutes. It doesn't say a time so you stand there and wait. My toilet didn't flush. I was there for 5 days. I had to walk down to the desk each time because they won't answer the front desk phone. The hotel was extremely dirty. They didn't even have anybody pick up paper outside. It looked horrible. Like I said, my stool didn't flush right for five straight days. They are not taking care of the property. It is nasty. They have no security at all. No security presence. Nothing. Kids running down the hallway all night long. The place smells like marijuana extremely unsafe place to take your family

Had trouble with tv and remote. You get two sheets and a thin fuzzy blanket to cover with. Pillows are needing replaced. Coffee pot wasn’t usable due to missing parts and covered in dust. Front desk wasn’t much help. Went without coffee til breakfast hours. Not ok

To begin it’s called Eastland not Eastlake. When I arrived no employees were present for check in. I had to wait in the lobby for a bit. Many sketchy people meandering about. I felt unsafe as a woman traveling alone.

The room itself was okay. Pros: Nice balcony and lots of TV channels. Vaulted ceilings and concrete (sound proof). It was affordable.

Cons: hair from previous guests in the shower and bathroom. Linen and towels smelled bad. No comforter on 2nd bed. Pillows with rips and holes.

The hair dryer was broken. I was going to an event the next day and had to dry my hair with the heating vent.

There is no restaurant or bar as stated. The “continental breakfast” is the worst coffee you’ve ever tasted, bananas, oranges, dry cereal, and white bread.

I would never stay here again.

Did not really enjoy my stay. Said no smoking everywhere but every building reeked of smoke. Bathtub had weird black stains at the bottom. My key card also stopped working when I came back in the middle of the night before a snow storm. It was freezing out and I had to go all the way back to the lobby building. I was offered no apology or explanation as to why the card stopped working. Very little communication. Just gave me the card back and said try it now. Will not be back

It was better than I was expecting g. I thought it would be a king bed with a sofa pullout, but it was a two story suite with a king, queen, AND sofa sleeper, and two full baths. It also has a kitchenette with a full sized refrigerator. It is on the outskirts of Urbana, about a 7 minute drive from main campus. The problem was that it was not well cleaned by the staff. I found a dirty facecloth hanging on the shower curtain rod. It looked a little old butt I didn’t go home with any little critters. I would book it again as it is a great deal and close to good food options, a Walgreens. from the UofI main campus.

We rented the family suite with 2 beds and the loft. The showers were disgusting, the floors felt sticky and there was mold on the wall! The beds only had sheets, no blankets.

The area is very sketchy, broken glass, and stunk like weed. The peephole to our door was also broken and you could just see right through it.

We would have just left immediately but came in late. Decided to just try to sleep. We slept for maybe 4-5 hours. And got out fist thing in the morning, didnt shower, and brushed our teeth with bottle water because we were so grossed out. I sent two emails to the property managers with photos of all of this with no response and called twice and they just said they would call back and never did.

Wish I could post the photos here because I’m not exaggerating, it was disgusting.

Absolutely do not stay here it’s gross and uncomfortable and doesn’t feel safe.

When we pulled out the sofa bed, it was half broke along with rust type material falling off of the already filthy sheets. I requested a different room. We were shown two options and I opted for the least smoke smelling room for our family. The \"hot breakfast\" in their main dining area follows zero health precautions. The very few items that were offered were luke warm at best. Fruit flies swarmed overripe fruit along with an overall dirty appearance on tables and serving counters. The property has an overall dated and worn feel, along with the type of crowd it draws. Honking, banging on doors, screaming throughout the night from guests or locals (not sure which one) was the normal evening routine from 1 am-4 am. The property does not feel safe or have any security presence. My son brought me a used needle with visible blood in it he found in the closet. Disgusting and downright unsafe. Never again. Refused to refund me. I reported them to the health department.

The check-in staff member was very nice and helpful. Check in was smooth and efficient.

The hotel really needs upgrading! The website shows a newer remodeled lobby, common areas and a couple remodeled rooms, however our room was not that. There were no facial tissue or paper towels and there was garbage in the trash cans. The T.V. was just plain sad. It was so small and far away from the bed, it was pointless to try to watch anything unless you sat on the couch.

The room was very spacious and clean and was fine for a one night sleep, however.

The location of the hotel is a bit sketchy as well.

It was pretty clean and the amenities and room were nice. Location is close to campus.

My only complaint is that other guests were loud, and I also didn’t love that my room on the ground floor had a sliding glass door to the outside. Between the noise and the door, I had enough anxiety to not have a great night’s sleep.

The air conditioning was not functioning well,but it wasn't overly hot. The furniture was old and falling apart. The couch was dirty and lacked any springs. Pillows very hard. The shower curtain was moldy and ripped. No tissues in the bathroom. The ceiling in the bathroom and main room was water damaged and peeling.

The room itself was clean. Bathroom not so great.

It was very loud all night long. I'm not sure if it was the hotel bar or the surrounding area, but music was loud all night.

The rooms are in separate, private, buildings away from check in, which was a nice feature. Could have been really cool if the room wasn't so out of what I expected. Staff was very friendly.

Overall, I'd say it is what it is for the price but the pictures in the listing ARE NOT what you get. Lighting is horrible in the room. It felt like bait and switch based on the listing vs what we got. Keep that in mind while booking.

When we arrived in our room, we discovered our 2 Queen size beds were double beds. Which are significantly smaller. One bed only had a sheet, (no blanket or bed spread). The other had a blanket and sheet, but no bed spread. There is a sink outside the bathroom. I thought, \"how nice\". Later at night, with the lights off, I was feeling for something in the dark and discovered this area was covered with some sticky substance. All in all, we are not impressed.

So many things wrong on this stay.
1st- hotels.com said my price would be $80. Hotel had sign saying all credit card transactions included 3% surcharge. Actual cost was $81+
- Got to room. TV not working. Called front desk mgr who said repairman would be sent. Called again 20 minutes later with no repair. Repairman on way. Another 20 minutes and asked to be moved to room with working tv. Told repairman was 10 minutes away. It was more than 45 minutes for simple fix that took less than 5 minutes.
-Below freezing outside. Fan cranking away but room not getting warm. Checked HVAC. It was set on AC instead of heat.
- Went to take shower. Water flowed but shower wouldn’t turn on.
- Getting in bed, covers were sheet, sheet, thin blanket. It was warm enough but not comfortable with blanket next to skin.
- Had asked for 7 am wakeup. Never got any call.
- Went for breakfast. All warm food trays empty. Man sitting at table said they were preparing more. Juice machine had old “Out of order” sign. There was empty orange juice container in tray but no refill. Coffee available through plastic carafe, but nearly empty. Cereal was available but no milk in dispenser. Bread available for toast but no butter or jelly. Food finally showed up – watery scrambled eggs, pancakes.Had to wait for plates. One guest was taking sausage links from pan by hand and eating as he filled plate. No syrup or butter.
It was a miserable stay.

Stayed Friday-Sunday. There were some stains on the room carpeting. Bed was comfortable, but only had a top sheet and a light blanket, for November. Saturday night, the smoke detector started to beep every minute (old battery?). Went to the desk and the employee gave me a different room for my last night, which I appreciated. Overall, a nice stay.

I had multiple reservations for this hotel. They checked me in for the wrong night. I was also informed that there is now an 3% upcharge to use a credit card, even though my rate is guaranteed through hotels.com. It's only guaranteed if you pay cash. The room was smokey smelling and at 1:00 am neighbors played extremely loud music. There was a random overturned grill outside of our room and the breakfast area trash can had flies buzzy around it.

The only issues I had were that there was only one trashcan and it was in the bathroom. So if someone was in the bathroom, I had to wait for that person to come out. The other issue is that the beds did not have blankets. Just one small comforter blanket and the rest were bedsheets. Doesn’t help when the comforter is tiny and can’t be shared between 2 people on the bed.

Unbelievable from beginning to end!

We arrive for check-in, our room was reserved months in advance yet they needed credit card info again and we had to put down a $100 security deposit which we've never had to do at any other hotel. We go to the room, inspect it, felt it was passable. Go get our bags and come back to the room only for our key card to no longer work on that door. Go back to the front desk, come to find out we went to the wrong room... but why did it open the first time for us? So then we go to the right room and its not what we reserved. Supposed to be 1 King bed and kitchenette, but it had 2 Queens and no kitchenette. So we go back to the front desk and have them give us the correct room that ended up being on the opposite side of the complex. The room was dusty, stove top burners were unusable (damaged), linen/towels had stains and looked used, bathroom was dirty, used bars of soap still in shower. Went back to the front desk to inform them, they said housekeeping would be over right away. We left for 2 hours and came back, housekeeping had still not been there. We clean the room ourselves then go back to front desk in the morning for fresh linen again since we didn't receive any on day 1 and they finally have someone bring us fresh linen. What's even worse is this cost us about $200 a night plus $100 deposit that haven't received back yet. Could've gotten better service for much cheaper at a Motel. Would NEVER stay at an Eastlakes hotel again

The staff were friendly and courteous, but the hotel has serious cleanliness issues. My room had two beds, and one appeared to have been used. There was hair and dark lint on the sheets, and it seemed merely remade rather than freshly prepared. Garbage from a previous occupant had been left in the room, and there were long hairs scattered throughout, especially in the bathroom, which made it feel unclean and poorly maintained. The towels were threadbare and stained, and the bed linens and pillows were noticeably worn. My friend was assigned a room that had clearly been used and not cleaned at all, with the beds left unmade. In addition, the hotel charged a 3% credit card fee on top of the Expedia rate. The hotel is in urgent need of renovation and a much stronger commitment to cleanliness and quality control.

My wife and I booked a room here for one night to attend a local sporting event. Long story short, we were in our room long enough to book a room somewhere else.

Upon arrival, check-in went smoothly though I was surprised to be told that a 3% surcharge would be applied for using a credit card. This was not disclosed when I made my reservation and honestly, I'm not sure how many people arrive and pay for their hotel room in cash. But, whatever, it was late and I was tired.

The area around the hotel doesn't inspire confidence in terms of security. For example, there were a couple of guys riding bicycles around on property in the dark wearing skull face masks. I made sure I parked where I could keep an eye on my car and headed inside.

The room was quite dated but admittedly the room rate was quite reasonable so I didn't expect luxury here. That said, regardless of the rate, I do expect a clean room. Ultimately, what turned us away was the large stain in the middle of the bed sheet right on top in plain view ... it's not like someone missed this while cleaning. And, numerous hairs all over several of the bed pillows. Clearly, there was a housekeeping issue here. I briefly considered asking to change rooms but at the end of the day, why would I expect another room to be cleaner? So, I found a (more expensive, unfortunately) place nearby and made a reservation.

Room was old and needed renovated Mold on ceilings in bathroom, Wood was rotten behind door next to tub, see below tile, felt like floor going to cave in while in shower. Not 1 ice machine worked. Breakfast was COLD! Check in was a nightmare, they added a 3% fee for using a credit card after the Hotel.com rate.
They made copies of my Driver's License for their records. I have never had this at any of the 1000 hotel stays I've stayed in previous years. They said this was a local police dept requirement. In was a sketchy area, had slots in bar and common area, people coming and going from street to play. On you own you for security, parking and walking around??
Just a basic below standard hotel for an elevated rate for the weekend football game!

During check in process they charge 3% credit card fee in addition to hotel price plus they hold a large amount for incidentals which will not be refunded for 7-10 days

Double Room is big but dirty and very outdated
Couch is stained and very uncomfortable and old
Beds are not comfy nor are the pillows and sheets
No soap in room
Blanket had a huge cigarette hole
Walls are not clean

The staff wasn’t bad, but there rooms were very dirty. Hair everywhere, bugs on the windows (I know you can’t completely control that but you don’t like seeing stink bugs all over the curtains). The furniture was beat up, we asked for new sheets because of the hair and while we were gone they just put them in our room. When we got back we saw the sheets and went to put them on and saw more stains under the sheets and more hair! We left shortly after that and are waiting for a refund from Expedia because since we booked with Expedia the staff said they couldn’t refund our money.

Parking was great... right next to room (we were downstairs). Tried breakfast first day but not really what we like... ok if you like scrambled eggs and toast. Staff were so responsive. Couldnt get TV to work (baseball playoffs) and they came right over to fix. Good time there.

Read the reviews and was genuinely concerned but was pleasantly surprised by the service and cleanliness of the room. Check-in was fast even with three check-ins in front on me. Rooms were clean and simple. Pool was great.

Im 100% sure they dont take the sheets off these beds. #144 and #146 were both filthy. We asked for another room (#146). Equally gross. No sign of any cleaning crew in the am on the property. Although the front office people were nice, there were human hairs on all 4 beds. Black lint balls at the base of the bed in the sheets. Balls of hair on the carpet. And a patch of human blood about a half dollar size on the mattress in the 2nd option. The shower is reversed, so cold is warm. We got out as soon as we woke up. This is a $20 / night 1 star motel. Other reviews would suggest that its impossible to get your money back as well.

They literally have a list of cards that aren’t accepted! They refused to give my boyfriend our deposit because I had to leave early for work. I had to drive all the way back to get my cash deposit! The breakfast was terrible—overcooked eggs and sausage. They make a two-bed room with small beds when it’s supposed to sleep four people. Our bed was really small, and we had to pay more for a bigger bed! This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in years. I will not be staying there ever again!

Bathroom and sheets were full of hair when we got there. Smoke alarm was beeping - had to call front desk to complain,had to have sheets changed and bathroom cleaned TWICE because still had hair all over the floor after first request. There was also part of a bandaid wrapper on the tub and everything was dusty. After we first called the front desk and didn’t get quick response, we just asked maintenance and housekeeping ourselves to fix things.

Bathroom was dirty. Hairdryer didn't work. Ask for replacement did not receive it. What else about that place. Children running up and down the stairs during the night. ironing board did not have a cover so we couldn't iron our clothing. Tub was dangerous to get in and out of no handles to hold onto. Toilet didn't flush had to jiggle the handle. Ceiling over the tub was crumbling. What else oh mattresses were hard. Had a sliding glass door to a patio with nothing on it and no screen for the door.
