I have composed a letter to send to Expedia with pictures attached to show the reasons for this review. We checked out a day early due to the conditions. Manager Shannon was not on the premises. We were told she'd be returning at 2 p.m. We called repeatedly. She would not return our calls; she was not the least bit interested in talking with us nor did she refund the money we had paid for the night we did not stay. We were told by Arnold that our second night would be credited. Expedia will see from the pictures that the property was clearly not maintained. I don't know many people who would have chosen to stay. I have already talked with Expedia; they reached out to hotel. They still refused a refund. I will be taking this up with Zion Canyon Lodge's corporate office. If no answer, I will then go through my bank. (We stayed at six other hotels during this vacation. We had no complaints with any other one.

When the listing says breakfast included be aware they don’t mean a proper hotel continental breakfast. They have paper bags with bagels and yogurt that they pass out in the morning. I was disappointed and had to find a real breakfast elsewhere.

I would have another place to stay if I go to Zion again. Location is not bad, Springdale’s bus line stop is 2 minutes walk from, which is very convenient for going to the park. Check in/out was smoothly. Room is not big. The most issue for me is the noise of air conditioner, on/no sleeping, off/no sleeping/ too hot. I didn’t know how I spent my first night there. Fortunately second night was way cooler, that the A/C was remaining off for almost whole night that I had a pretty good sleeping. Cleanliness was ok, but I found ants somewhere in the room. They have dripping coffee marker but no kettle down there.

We arrived early the cleaning staff said our rooms were clean but the front desk wouldn’t check us in until 4pm. Only 4 chairs in the lobby. No pool. And “included breakfast” is a to go breakfast at 7:30 am (who waits around for 7:30 when they want ti enter the park early?).

Front desk staff Diana was super kind, friendly and very helpful when we realized that we short booked an evening. She made sure we stayed in the same room without moving. Grab-n-Go breakfast was very convenient for the hikers like us, including a sandwich, bagel, yogurt and a fruit in a lunch bag. The hotel is conveniently located close to the city shuttle stop, and the gorgeous sunset view we could enjoy right on the patio.

Convenient location, close to shuttle stops. Seemed to be a lack of staff, no room tidy or fresh towels the 2 nights we were there. The staff we did encounter were very friendly and tried to be helpful.
Realized after they did have guest laundry 4 bucks per load. Nice small sitting area, but really only comfortable late day as not shaded. Incredible view from the room.
The ac units were very loud and blowing cold air on the bed right next but the other side of the room was warm. Breakfast was Togo bag, the egg sandwich and bagels were frozen. Not a continental which we thought, but if you are ok to nuke the food, it did have an apple, yogurt and muffin as well. Could be handy to bring for snacks in the park.
Was it worth the money, probably for location.

The location of the hotel is excellent if you are making a destination to Zion. However, the hotel itself needs some improvement upon checking in my door handle was broken and I couldn’t gain access to the room so I needed assistance. They also don’t give any extra soaps or make the room if you’re staying there more than one night which I thought was kind of odd they didn’t come in to pick up the trash or anything.

The place is not brand new as their website states. The free breakfast is in a paper sack. That’s not continental to me. The bed and couch were not comfortable. We had to ask for more toilet paper and clean towels. I would not recommend this place to anyone honestly. Definitely not worth the price. We even left a day early.

We were going to be late checking into our room so I called the Lodge to let them know and Diane was so wonderful. She placed a note in an envelope giving us instructions to our room with our parking pass and placed the room keys in it as well and left it at the door for us. I was so grateful because we had had a long day. The Lodge was close to everything(shuttle bus, plenty of places to eat) all within walking distance. The room was clean and we were on the second floor with an amazing view. I would stay here again.

It can be difficult picking a hotel sight unseen based on a couple of photos and reviews by other people. We had never been the Springdale, Utah before or Zion National Park and wanted to enjoy our time there. The hotel and the rooms were convenient, easy to get in and out of, and very spacious, clean, and the beds very comfortable! The view is incredible, just from the hotel alone, and it is right on the main road through Springdale in a great location to get coffee, go to lunch or dinner, and visit the park. Very friendly staff! We loved our stay here and would stay here again.

The “breakfast” is horrible that is included. A bagged bagel and yogurt. The juice and coffee dispensers did not work. Pictures of the room and property are very misleading. The caulking in the shower was falling off the wall. The bathtub was very slippery and the water pressure was not good at all. The room was not very tidy. The pillow cases were stained. Bed was comfy.
No pool for hot summer days. Location was good, but almost every other place looked nicer, had pools, and had been updated. Any place in zion has a view. The lobby picture is misleading too. It is extremely small. No elevator if needed for bags. Parking spaces not big enough for medium to large suv.
Pros- bike rentals and food near by. It is quiet.
Front desk staff was super amazing and kind.
The place itself needs updating and better cleaning.

The property is in a great location on the canyon road. The family suite was large and had a huge kitchen full fridge with grocery across the street. We booked the night before and was great for the money, slept well after an active day!

The staff was friendly and helpful, however, the lobby offered coffee and juices but was closed 3 out of 4 mornings I went to get coffee. This was frustrating. The location is excellent and the room was clean. The staff was friendly the one time I saw them. I would stay here again. The location can’t be beat.

We had 2 rooms -- one room had a light malfunctioning and the other room's door did not lock easily. Several requests at the desk and the final solution was to pull on the handle at an angle to get it to click and lock. Seems there should have been a more functioning door. Request for an iron was never resolved. The place looks very nice, but is lacking in the attention to details.

This was a good location and the room was very clean. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. They all deserve 5 stars. I do feel that for the price we paid the drain stopper in the tub should have been attached and the adjustable shower head should have been adjustable. The A/C was also quite loud.

Great location..great views from hotel..front desk doesnt open till 7:30 am so if you want your breakfast(is a to go small bag consisting of a bagel yogurt cream cheese and an apple)early to be at zion park early you need to ask for it at front desk the evening before. Cleaning service in rooms was not consistent when we were there...we had to go up to front desk for coffee bathroom shampoos soap etc and general cleaning of outside trash cans etc didnt happen when we were there. Laundry room pretty dirty and 1 dryer out of order so we didnt use them because unsure if they worked..property is dated but location great

The accommodations were ok, but it was obvious this place has been around for a long time. I found the initial check in staff/person to be away from the desk a LONG time, and arriving guests had to wait with no one to address the check in or issues. The included breakfast was a bag containing yogurt, a stale bagel, an ok blueberry muffin. No hot meal/breakfast. For me personally, my billing was all screwed up, and when I attempted to address the issue, the person at the front desk had not knowledge of how to do so and said someone would get back to me. I am waiting for someone to get back to me. Forgot to add, I would not recommend this location unless you are looking solely at the cost factor

Stay was pleasant and room nice except nothing was done in our room after the first night. Normally that doesn't bother me but usually trash is picked up.

PM clerk was very helpful. Second morning there was a lag in the office being opened. There were lots of people waiting for their breakfast. We were waiting to get cream cheese to go with our bagels; someone forgot to put it in the bags.

Loved the \"to go\" bags but not sure everyone is made aware of how you get breakfast. We picked up our bags the night before since we were leaving the hotel before 730.

Only vital suggestion: Might be helpful if office opened earlier, especially in busy season. Most people probably want to get going before 730.

Ok. Yall. I lost my card key and got there like 9:15. There was no one there. No number to call. So
I’m thinking I’m locked out of my room for the night. I call the cops. Luckily some kid showed up just as I called the cops. So, that sucks and is just irresponsible of them to leave people hanging like that. There should be a number to call or something. Really bad policy. When I tried the number on the website, it said it was down. So, I’d think twice about going here.

The hotel itself was nice, the cleaning staff was very helpful. We stayed three days and the continental breakfast consisted of going to the lobby and picking up a lunch bag. Inside was the exact same thing a plain bagel, small blueberry muffin, yogurt, apple and cream cheese. We went upstairs to the common area to eat and the trash bins were never emptied, the restroom was VERY dirty, never cleaned. We sat outside and had to clean the tables ourselves.

I really enjoyed our stay. We found the location excellent. For the three days we were in Springdale we never used our car. We did rent bikes. The rental place was very convenient-right across the street. All the staff were very nice, friendly and knowledgeable.

This hotel is in a great location and everything you need is walking distance. The hotel is clean, staff very friendly and we had a problem with first room due to noise, but they gave us new room on the second floor without any issues. The second room was great .. provided a beautiful view of the mountains and felt very safe to keep windows open and a nice bench was outside. They also provided a take away breakfast which was helpful.. we enjoyed the fruit and breakfast sandwich. I highly recommend this hotel.

The lodge was clean and comfortable and location great. The sack lunch style complimentary breakfast was weak. Pre wrapped muffin, bagel with cream cheese, and a small yogurt. Bagel was not fresh. No yogurt in my bag. I ask the front desk where the ice machine was. She told me the location where I discovered a note saying a new one had been ordered and gave the locations of where one could purchase ice. That was outrageous to me.

Let me start with a word of caution this is not the Zion National Park Lodge located within the park. This lodge is located in Springdale just outside the park. That said the lodge is clean well kept and a short walk to the free shuttle into the park. There are many restaurants and food choices as well as shopping within walking distance. I thought I was booking with Zion National Park Lodge but was pleased in the end.

This is a pretty average hotel. There was only one small trash can for both the room and bathroom, and the towels and toiletries were quite limited. We also found a few cockroaches in the morning near the bathroom, which was concerning. Check-in at the front desk took a long time as well. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable, and the to-go breakfast bags were a nice touch.

Hotel location was great- across the street from a grocery store, Zion Guru (bib/e-bike rentals), and short walks to a variety of restaurants. There was a laundry room with paid machines we could use. Staff was always cheery, helpful, and informative. The ice machine was broken the entire time we were there which was very annoying. There seemed to be absolutely no urgency in getting it fixed

I think overall it could be a great place, but it is seriously understaffed. There was always only one person at the front desk, and he or she is also managing the maintenance as well.
Our room was always clean and spacious. The cleaning lady did her job fine.
But when we checked in, the spare blanket and sheets for the sofa bed ware dirty. I had to go to the front desk to get clean ones. Also we did not have a toaster or kitchen towel for the kitchen, so we went to the front desk again. The reason we had to go the front desk, is that the phone at the front desk was not working, ie, it cannot take any calls. The receptionist at the frond desk tried very thing to help, but lacking of staff is really the problem.
Did I mention that the shampoo holder in the shower just came off and never went back on there? They probably just did not have the right people to fix it.
Anyway, all the problems above did not really bother us. But the property could be managed better.

Parking was fine.The free breakfast was lackluster, it was provided in a white paper bag. The coffee and tea service in the lobby was wonderful, except that it didn’t open until 7:30 in the morning - which would be the same time that you could pick-up your breakfast. Maybe during peak season they use the common area and set up a true continental breakfast. They have seating, indoor and outdoor with beautiful views for breakfast, but it was not in use when we were there.

Absolutely gorgeous lodge with beautiful view and very close to entrance of zion national park, we didn't even wait for the shuttle for the park, though it was 2 mins walking from the lodge . So many places to shop and dine near by. Super clean room, comfortable bed, breakfast grab and go was superb idea, would highly recommend this place if you are visiting Zion.

The breakfast was over sold at check-in and online. It was literally a bagel in a plastic bag, even though at check in we were told there would be hot sandwiches where you have to pick-up in the lobby. It doesn't open until 7:30, including coffee not available until then. Arriving at the park earlier is better and 7:30 is too late. They have a dedicated room that appears to be a place that could have a better breakfast that isn't being utilized. In additon, the ice machine was broken and not fixed even though I asked about it. The room was clean and for the most part it was very quiet, and the views were amazing.
