Not the best in the area but not the worst either
So the room was tiny. The aircon was broken. The toilet wasn't so clean.
That said the staff were friendly and accommodating, bar wasn't expensive and the range of food on offer was good. Breakfast was average. Its okay for a couple of nights and is close to other places to eat.

A simple but practical hotel with good size bed. The breakfast offerings were good - cold cheeses & meats, breads, pastries, cereals, hot drinks and freshly squeezed juice. Unfortunately no onsite evening food options, but there are enough close by to make up for that.

Another pleasant, comfortable stay at this well maintained hotel. It has become our preferred first choice hotel in Val de Reuil. The 24 hour front desk takes away any stress of late arrivals and/or non functioning automatic room allocation machines.

This hotel is my wife's favourite in this location; (I, too like it here); based on ease of access from motorway network, convenient for our regular N/S journey, breakfast, room facilities, overall cleanliness and general relaxing ambience.

We had our room upgraded during the quick and efficient check in on a staffed front desk, which was very welcome and totally unexpected, thank you. The room was spacious and the bed large and very comfortable. Breakfast was comprehensive. There is no better way to start the day than with an excellent breakfast. Then quickly back, from good car park, onto arterial roads to continue journey.

A warm welcome despite a 2 hour delay on tunnel.
Due to the tunnel playing up (again) and delaying us by 2 hours we didn't arrive at the hotel until around 22:00hrs. The bar and reception were still open and welcoming and we managed a picnic in our room. Much improved since our last say when it was a Balladins, re-decorated and updated we will use again as a handy overnight north or south bound. Not as cheap as some in the Val de Reuil area, but in all honesty better.

Best thing about this stay was the delightful receptionist, who made everything easy and was always smiling. Room was good, breakfast good apart from the coffee and a distinctly funny hard boiled egg. We ate at the brasserie over the road, which was also a very pleasant experience.

We were on our way to Uk and wanted somewhere convenient to stop and this was it. Easy to find and easy to get back on the motorway next day. Room was clean and well equipped but the bed was hard. Able to park close to the room and it was very quiet considering how close the road was.

Different room this time!
We have stayed here many times as a stopover to our holiday home further south, and have always had a good experience. However, I had not realised we had previously been upgraded from Comfort to Superior double rooms. What a shock this time! The room was older, tiny and incredibly basic. We were falling over each other trying to move around the room, there was no room to swing a cat, which was difficult as we always bring our two labrador dogs with us! My husband nearly did himself an injury on the toilet roll holder when bending to use the sink! That said, it is extremely cheap and clean and well positioned just off the motorway with a good restaurant and breakfast (evening restaurant closed at weekends but choice of 3 excellent restaurants next door to the hotel) with friendly staff.

No air conditioning
After a long journey from southern France we arrived on the hottest day of the year to find there was no air conditioning in the very small double room and the curtains open and window shut with the sun blazing into the already very warm room. It did not improve. The toilet door did not shut from the outside, so the constant sound of the extractor fan enhanced the sauna like ambiance. The only way to cool the room down, was to wedge the door to the corridor open. This also allowed the smells from the restaurant below to enter. This, of course, was not an option all night, so we had very little sleep before another long journey home. When I reported this on the desk in the morning, there was little interest shown. Although the restaurant was very pleasant, we will not be staying at this hotel again.

Excellent for our overnight stay. Our room was in the new part and was fine, although there were signs that some fixtures and fittings would not last long. We decided to have dinner in the hotel restaurant despite there being a wide choice of chain-type restaurants nearby and the buffet was excellent. This chain knows who it caters for and deleivers an excellent package.

We have stayed here before to break the journey to the south of France and were pleased with the cleanliness and comfort for the price. This time we brought our dogs, which is useful as we are buying in France and will be traveling back and forth with them. Note that milk is not automatically supplied with the room kettle, but fresh milk can be obtained from reception. There are plenty of good places to eat next to the hotel if the restaurant is closed.

We stayed in 2x triple rooms for our family of 2x adults & 3 children. The rooms were large & spotlessly clean & very nice. Receptionist was very helpful & of course spoke perfect English. The location was a great stop over on our journey home from the Vendee. The restaurant wasn't inspirational so we went to the nearby Pataterie which was a revelation! (Who knew jacket spuds could be so delicious!?) Breakfast was a little bit ordinary, but overall we'd happily stay again on our way through.

We stayed in a family room (double bed and pull out bed for our daughter) which was small but functional and clean. There was a tv, kettle, hairdryer, shower but no bath. The hotel is located right next to junction 19 of the A13 which was handy but our sat nav struggled to locate the street. Head for McDonalds and you can't miss it.
The hotel had no smoking signs up in it but there was a fairly strong smell of smoke - perhaps on fabrics from a time when smoking was permitted inside but I also wonder whether some occupants don't pay any attention to the signs. It may bother some people with allergies or asthma.
There were three restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. We tried the grill place. The service was dreadfully slow - too few staff - and the food was nothing special. The McDonalds across the road which may be a quicker, more familiar option.

We used as an overnight stay returning from our holiday in Brittany, this hotel was far superior to the grotty and expensive Relais place we stayed at on our initial journey down! Modern and clean with very friendly staff. The restaurant was closed over the weekend, no problem you have a choice of places to eat surrounding the hotel. Will definitely stay here again.

The hotel arranged for us to have adjoining rooms for our twin sons and us. Rooms were great very clean and quite spacious. We ate (again) at the local pizzeria which is 5 mins walk away. Overall I really couldn't find fault with anything.

Hotel is very new and I was surprised just how good this hotel is. The room is on the small side but had everything I needed. The bed felt hard but was comfortable. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Did not partake of the breakfast but had a look in the restaurant and the spread looked excellent.
The area around the hotel is unattractive at present but is being developed so will improve in the future. Not that I care about that when I am travelling. The hotel is the important thing and this one is a keeper.

Fantastic value
As a \"traveller\" type hotel, we found this very stylish compared to English versions. Walk in shower, soft close loo seat, stylish decor with modern art both in room, and around the hotel, and hidef TV (mostly in French of course) and a relatively cheap weekend price. However, underneath the glamour, there wasn't quite as good a finish - the loo seat was broken, the shower water escaped and started flooding the bathroom, the huge bed was typically French firm and was actually a couple of singles held together (actually that worked quite well!) and until we worked out that the room key card actually operated the electric as well, we were power less! But really, we enjoyed the room, and for what we needed it was ideal - we would definitely visit again.

We were upgraded to a better room because of a misunderstanding. It was in the new block. Although the room overlooked the main road it was very quiet in the room. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good. There were other places to eat within 500 yds so there was plenty of choice of where to eat. Overall very good, however we booked this hotel especially because it had a Resturant and we know difficult it can be to get a meal on Sunday eveing in France, however on arrival we were told it is closed on Sundays. There were other option within walking distance.

Pillows are not comfortable! Even my husband mentioned them and he is asleep as soon as his head hits it normally. Apart from that everything was good for the 40€ paid for one night. Room clean. The rooms have large comfortable beds with good quality bathroom and powerful shower. Continental self-service buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. Polite and helpful Staff. Hotel is very conveniently sited with other hotels just off A13 to Paris and N154.. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was closed on the night that we stayed but there is a good choice of restaurants within walking distance. Very good value for money.

Room was good for an overnight stay, with kettle, tea/coffe, and a decent wifi inalienable. Nice shower ooh, and basic beds. Quiet. , no traffic noise, so we were pleased with our find and will use it again

A cut above the usual off-autoroute overnight places. Furnishings are smart and in good condition and the breakfast is actually worth paying for. The in house restaurant (closed weekends) is fine and there are a few alternatives nearby.

We were travelling to the Vendee so this hotel was a very good stop off. The staff were very polite and helpful and their english was very good. The family room we stayed was just big enough for the 3 of us and we slept comfortably. The restaurant it seems is only open on Friday and closed on a Saturday. Not sure why this is, but there is a restaurant just round the corner of the hotel which serves fantastic food and reasonably priced. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This was used by us as a stopover on out way back from the Dordogne region to Calais. It ticked all the boxes apart from the restaurant/bar not being open on the weekend evenings and breakfast was very minimal and expensive so we chose to go elsewhere. There are a number of \"chain\" restaurants in walking distance and I would urge avoidance of the \"Red Pepper\" restaurant which is 100 metres away - it was the most expensive meal we had in the whole of our time in France and even if it had been the cheapest, it was by far the worst.........The hotel was 100% functional and reasonable price for 5 of us in two rooms. It would have been perfect if we could have had adjoining rooms but since we left it late to book it was our own fault.
